Three stars because its local and dindt want to hurt em with the 1.5 star I feel Is deserved for this work. Might be different for other services.

Here is why:

Sadly, my loving wife took my professional trumpet bell to them for a bent bell repair as a birthday present.

The store repairman was shocked that I dismantled the bell from the rest of the $2500 professional model horn.

He didnt know that I’m building a custom horn.

He was just disgusted.

Well first of all it’s my horn to do what I like with, I didn’t buy from them!

I was excited to have a “professional” fix the bent bell and dinged mark’s because they would do a better job than me! I understood that there would be crease mark’s from the repair. I didnt expect scratches a d uneven repair and dents to be left in.

I play professionally part time and am building a custom two bell trumpet from and out of other exspensive trumpets. I want a pro horn when Imdone and am using pro horns I like, to build it out of! I e worked with metal and am proficient in welding and soldering.

$32 to fix the bell was very reasonable! I’ve been quoted $50 elsewhere and have seen great work for that price in Oakland and they even cleaned and polished for that price.

But finally got my bell back today and the work I see is not great. It will all have to be redone.

It looks to me that no pride in workmanship was taken and his disgust in my taking the horn apart was perceived as not caring.

I fricking care a lot!

Complete waste of time and money. And no I dont want to go back and give em a chance to make the bell worse.

Tried to give local store work and keep it in my town. But dont take a pro brass instrument to a guitar shop and expect to have quality work done.

Now I’ll have to ship it out someplace probably out of state because the guy in Oakland retired.

My project delayed now even longer!

#family business #small business . The guys that run this shoppe are the best! Super helpful and unlike the old regime. The manager usually means the front while the owner does repairs. The selection is not large but the service makes up for it. Especially recommended for instrument rentals and school instrument repair.

I went to this place because I have a Ukelele to fix it. I believe the owner help me whit it and I how this place has diferente instrument, and he rent too. If he do not have something he can orther for you. Nice place!

Extremely rude, very poor customer service. Expert at music, immature level of social interaction. He even directed his impatience towards my 9 year old sister. Overall: es un pinche cerote come-mierda racista!

Came in to get a pair of decibel reducing earplugs for use in live sound. Guy behind counter referred me to a $15 set, but during the show had a high-frequency ring in my ears: better sound with foam earplugs. Would have paid a bit more for quality, but I guess this was all they had. Ordering pro-qualitu set online.

this store is really bad they guy is racist and also has bad quality products
