Pros: We received several emails with info on the days leading up to our trip. Check in was all no contact which was great. I highly recommend you check in before you arrive at the cabin, perhaps when you begin your road trip or before.
The cabin was clean though we did do our own disinfecting of commonly touched surfaces as well.
Sierra Meadows is about 10 minutes away by car from an intersection with multiple shopping centers including grocery stores. Some of the shops included pharmacies, fast food, several pizzerias, Italian restaurants, Mexican restaurants, donut shop, coffee shops, and other local restaurants. It was good to know we could easily pick up dinner or groceries. It was also convenient because we easily stopped for dinner at one of the shopping centers on our way from Yosemite.
We did do a little cooking at the cabin. We tried bringing our own copper pan, but copper and aluminium could not be used on the electric stovetop so we used one of the little pans in the cabin. We saw other guests bring portable grills and do some BBQing outside. Some people brought tablecloths for the picnic tables that are outside each cabin. I thought that was a good idea.
Things to consider:
The only thing to be aware of is that we did encounter some ants after leaving pretzels in a ziploc. We quickly cleaned it up and put away the food and didn’t see ants again. Next time I would bring an air tight container or something of the sort to keep food in and ants out. Also, the sofa was not the comfiest, but I might be unfairly comparing it to our comfy couch at home :p.
You get a Bluetooth music box and it works great and the bathroom is pretty nice as well.
The ac works good so you aren’t sweating all the time.
