I had a crazy idea of learning to bass guitar at the ripe young age of 59. My goal was to have a 60th bash with a band and play a few songs with them at the party. Thanks to my wife who gave me my first month of lessons for my 59th. Chris, my instructor, was given the challenge of teaching an older guy something I’d wanted to do since I was thirteen…play the bass guitar. Longer story short is he did it. Chris is a very patient, encouraging but precise teacher that helped me get started and nipped bad habits in the bud. I look forward every week for my lesson and have put much effort into practice which is the key to success. I had a great time playing with the band at my party and have done a “guest appearance” with the same band with another one scheduled. Playing the bass with the band, especially in one of our favorite wine bars, is a dream come true. Chris has helped me all the way with the best part, one of the greatest feelings on earth, playing music with your friends. Thanks Chris
These guys have been great! I found them on Google and hit the jackpot. My son needed guitar lessons and it was perfect the way they deliver lessons. I’m busy working and Chris comes give lessons at the house. My son looks forward to each lesson and is progressing so fast. Chris is always on time, professional, communicative, and above all a great teacher. We will be sticking with them for the long haul.

I found Kirstin while doing a search for Aliso Viejo piano teachers on the Nextdoor site. She was highly recommended by someone that lived in my neighborhood. Kirstin was prompt to return my voicemail which I appreciated and made time to see me the following week.
If Kirstin’s warm demeanor doesn’t immediately put you or your child at ease then you are sure to be won over by the resident mascot Oreo, Kirstin’s adorable pup.
I have never had an issue with scheduling with Kirstin and she has also never cancelled a lesson on me last minute. She is patient and has a way of guiding you through the lesson without making the student you feel demeaned. Which I appreciate as an adult student.
I would highly recommend Kirstin or anyone she deems worthy to teach as one of her studios instructors.

When we got there for the free lesson it was great I learned how to play. When we wanted to sign up for season they had a offer for a electric guitar. But when the worker went to get it they had no more and we did not sign up for season. The worker ways super sad that I was bummed out so she made some calls and they shipped a gutter just for me and I super happy.
This is a real music store. It is not guitar center, what you will find is trumpets, clarinets, and all sorts of instruments, you will also find the things at that afor mentioned store. The best part about shopping here is that you support a real music shop that all musicians can find gear and keep all forms of music alive. Staff is friendly and shop is bright and clean

Do not rent your music instrument here, it’s a nightmare.
I really want to give y’all a good rating, but I don’t understand how I can provide formal approval for my flute’s repairs, and then proceed to have to approve two more times over two more months because someone, somewhere keeps not actually putting the paperwork through? I expected a timesink since repairs take a while, but to have had my flute sitting WAITING for said lengthy repairs for more than two (three by now?) months despite me approving it three! separate! times! because someone just didn’t click a button is extremely disappointing!!!!

Everything is over priced! We went here hoping to get some help and all we were told was that we should go online and find a different instrument. The person they have on charge was rude and looked down on us, very poor manners, never going here again and definitely not recommending my other friends to come here!
I walked in and whoever was in charge was being really impatient with a mom and her kids. He looked past the mom and flatly asked me if he could help me, I said, “Oh I don’t mind if you finish helping her.” The poor mom. I started looking at music books and when he was done with the mom, he just started restocking and ignored me. So, I went up to him and said, “Hi! Can I ask you a few questions?” He wouldn’t look at me and replied, “What KIND of questions?”. I said, “oh..I…maybe I should just wait for the owner if my questions need to be qualified before I ask them? :/” He said, “yah. you should”! He was so unkind.I wasn’t upset or anything-I’m a really a friendly person-I was just so confused at the treatment. There was no one else in the store at 3:30 on a weekday-no teachers or students at all. All the class rooms were empty and no one was teaching. If the owner reads this, I had money to spend, but walked out :/

I called to have a book held for me today. The girl on the phone, said, ‘Yes, we have it and I can hold it for you in paperback”. She took my name and number and we hung up. Went to the store to pick up the book and it doesn’t exist at the customer service counter, service counter and it’s not in the computer. What? Was my phone call a ghost? Did I phone the wrong store? I checked my outgoing numbers on my phone bill to validate I am not crazy and guess what? I am not crazy. This is so wrong! and a Waste of a customers time. So sad.
Horrible way to overpriced when I asked why they were so expensive the cashier was so rude to me would never go again

Great place for music lessons and to buy an instrument!
This place is the go to instrument place. My brother and I have been going here for two years now for instrument lessons. They have great advice and I hope they stay in business. The only had part is they don’t have an onsite instrument repair person so you will have to wait days to get your instrument back and repaired. All in all this place is great. Please come here and support this local business!
Michael did an excellent job setting up my Taylor as well as hand filing a bone nut for me so that it was perfect. He was very helpful and really easy to communicate with which compared to dealing with guitar-center-like places was a breath of fresh air. Also worth noting it’s a single man operation as of this review so you don’t have to worry about your guitar getting passed on to lesser experienced hands. I highly recommend using FM Guitar Repairs for all you guitar needs.
If your looking for an honest person who will take care of you like you’re family, Mike is your guy!! I bought a used guitar yesterday that’s sounded great but the action was high and the bridge was becoming detached and unglued. He asked me if I could return it. I cringed saying I bought it on Craig’s List. Mike again convinced me to contact the person who sold me a defective guitar after taking the time to take the strings off and removing the action to see if removing the spacers would help. I just got my money back and the owner of the guitar got brand new strings I put on his guitar!
If I need any work with my acoustic Taylor, which I do;) I will be asking Mike to install a pickup!
I have many expensive guitars, but I recently purchased an inexpensive model that I could keep out so my friends would beat that one up when they came over instead of my expensive ones. I took it to Michael not expecting much because of the quality of the guitar and when I got it back from him, I was blown away at the improvement he made with the playability and the overall sound of it. It more than exceeded my expectations. If you want your guitar done right, then take it to Michael.
Mona is incredible, she pays so much attention to detail and is so careful, taking the time to make sure that you understand everything. I have noticed she adjusts to the pace of the student which is great because we all want our kids to perform the best to their abilities. I recommend Mona Rose Studios if you are looking for extremely good piano lessons.

Fantastic store!! Went in for a violin rental (I’m a total beginner), and the staff were incredibly helpful and kind in getting me started. Their prices are reasonable, and the quality of the violin I got is excellent (even my violin teacher was impressed!). Would 100% recommend this store for all your musical instrument needs.
I took my saxophones here after trying a few repair techs in LA, and i’m a so glad i did. These guys are amazing. Micah fixed up all of my saxophones in no time at all. I have had some great repair techs in the past, but horn improvement is the best!

Bad store. Employee claimed “2 months” for a repair. But there’s a catch. First they take 5 days to perform an estimate.
