I contacted Lighting Joe’s via email and told them I was looking for a classical/electric guitar with a cutaway , not a very popular type or guitar. They emailed me back the next day and said they had several options. I mentioned that I was coming up from AZ. When I walked into the store and told them who I was I got the first class treatment. Marelene escorted me up stairs and showed me several choices and I found exactly what I wanted. While playing the guitar through an amp it was popping and cracking. Joe stepped in and fixed a lose wiren in no time at all. The store and inventory is
Amazing, staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The Guitar Center should take note. Sooooo worth the drive.
Me gustas
Set up my dad’s Washburn sweet as rain and super quick!
Awesome store huge selection
Cool shop with a decent selection (as long as ukes, mandolins, and guitars are what you are looking for!) I was seriously in danger of walking out with (yet another) resonator guitar. And I’m not sure that danger has completely disappeared…
The prices are good for some things, a little marked up for others. But nice layout, selection, and service, and it feels good to support a smaller, local business.
USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN PURCHASING A GUITAR OR ANYTHING FROM GUTIAR HEAVEN!!!!! a “JOHN LENNON REVOLUTION CASINO #338 OF 1965 WAS SOLD TO ME IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,459.40 PLUS TAX.
THEY TOLD ME IT WAS COMPLETELY ORGINAL AND I HAVE E-MAIL CORRESPONDENCE TO PROVE THIS!
COME TO FIND OUT AFTER SEEING OTHERS FOR SALE, THE CASE THEY INCLUDED WITH MINE WAS NOT THE ORIGINAL CASE FOR THE GUITAR! IT DID NOT HAVE JOHN LENNONS ART WORK ON THE CASE!
I FEEL SO CHEATED AND ROBBED!! CONFRONTING THEM ABOUT IT THEY SAID “SORRY WE CAN’T HELP YOU”!!
I WOULD SUGGEST THAT YOU USE CAUTION WHEN BUYING SOMETHING THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE “IN ORIGINAL USED CONDITION”. ACTUALLY I WOULD ATTEMPT TO FIND THE PRODUCT ELSEWHERE AND FROM A ****REPUTABLE DEALER****!!!!!
I have lived here all my life, and I went into this story for the very first time just the other day, because my son plays guitar now, and we needed a new string. The women that works there was very rude to my daughter, she stayed with me the entire time, and she knows the rules (don’t look with your hands, look with your eyes) my daughter is very well behaved, she is homeschooled and suffers from a rare illness that has caused her to grow up allot faster. This women obviously had it out for my daughter as soon as we walked in. She followed behind us the entire time, and if my daughter even looked like she was about to touch something she would jump right in, and either push her hand away, or tell her to not try to touch it…. finally right before we left my daughter was looking at a little table with guitar strings attatched, she strummed one string one time! And the lady grabbed her hand shoved it away, and said don’t touch, you don’t know what your doing!! Ok? Ok? Ok? Say ok! My daughter said no thank you and turned away. The lady said no thank you? Really?….the only reason I did t leave sooner was because they had my sons guitar, but I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER go in their again, that lost my business and anyone else I know that plays instruments!
I went in to look at guitars with my son, I saw the store online and really was looking forward to seeing some cool guitars. The woman approached me right away and was super rude, saying we couldn’t try any guitars unless we were going to buy something. Then we went to look at acoustic guitars and the guy was just following us, he didn’t even care to help us out or ask if we had any questions. I was looking to purchase a nice Martin, but not from there not ever. Super rude!!!! I have a lot of friends who were looking to check this place out as well. I will let them know about my experience too. They would have gotten some great business but they missed out. I would have given their store 0 stars but had to give them one.
Justin at Fluent Guitar is helping me immensely to develop my skills as a classical guitar player.
I’ve benefitted so much from his teaching. He has helped me develop proper technique for this style, and he has a knack for selecting repertoire that is fun to play and gradually raises my abilities.
He’s friendly, gives excellent information, and inspires me to play better. I’ve enjoyed every session, and look forward to my lesson every week. Highly recommended! Thanks Justin!

Doesn’t have the selection offered by some other local shops but Steve is a cool guy and it’s always worth dropping by to see what’s in stock
Awesome work from a very pleasant person. It’s always a pleasure to visit and I’ve never heard a name dropped or unkind word.
Had Steve do a setup for me and I couldn’t be happier. Will be back soon!
I’ve only went in once but Steve was automatically asking how I was and attended to what I was looking for even though he had a project he was working on when I walked in. I mentioned an issue I had with my Taylor and he already knew a solution that I tried hours and hours on the internet trying to figure out and even gave me options to fix it. The only reason I can’t give it a 5 is the lack of selection of guitars. Though I’m sure he would be more than happy to order whatever I wanted.
Steve the owner is very knowledgeable and willing to notify a person on the event a guitar does come across his path.
Guitar repair store, not really a place to buy a guitar.
