Brittany is awesome! She is teaching our 11-year-old piano, and he is making great progress after only a couple of months of lessons. I am super impressed with her knowledge of music…this young lady knows her stuff! She definitely has a passion for music, and it shows in her excitement for teaching. Beyond her apparent intelligence and musical knowledge, she also has a wonderful teaching style and personality. She is very sweet, patient, encouraging, and funny (jokes around with and relates so well to kids). She makes lessons fun, which is an awesome motivator for a kid! My son is enjoying his piano lessons very much and has already decided that he wants to take guitar lessons from Brittany in the future. 🙂 Highly recommend!!!
Brittany is our second piano instructor to our 6 year old son. She has ignited our son’s interest to continue piano with attainable goals, flexible teaching, fun games, and rewards. She has the heart to teach kids and the know-how to keep kids motivated. She has great communication with parents and is a blessing to our family.
Both of my kids have been taking lessons and I have NEVER seen them more excited to go to lessons and even practice. She makes it fun and gets down to their level to keep them engaged and focused. We are so impressed!
3. Gone for Good – Ault
Address: 220 1st St, Ault, CO 80610 , Ault , Colorado , United States
Very helpful! Got my first guitar here years ago! WILL DICKSON and JAGUAR JAKE are juts ignorant and mad! THE WORLD DOESNT REVOLVE AROUND YOU insignifiCUNTS!!
Great local hometown bar. All walks of life welcome and present. Exactly what this town needs. 10/10
Had a Fantastic time.
Steaks are always cooked perfectly
Good place to kick back and relax. Not to load. Nice place to have a drink after work.
The owner Nancy is great and understands customer service. Butch on the other hand is not so keen. Insulting and un-personable is an understatement. Bartenders are great especially Candice.
Horrible crowd. The owner is rude.
It’s a watering hole. I have never seen this place “hopping”. Usually one or two patrons in the bar. Last visit I ordered a beer, laid down a 20 and the bartender went away to a table to do some banking business. I asked if I was going to get some change, but the banking business was priority. I eventually got my change, but I find it hard to believe that they were waiting for my $20 bill to complete a bank deposit. They also do not have a very good selection of better quality alcohols.
8. Music Depot
Address: 2318 W 17th St, Greeley, CO 80634 , Ault , Colorado , United States
Music Depot is fantastic, bottom line. They are friendly and knowledgeable, and have a good selection of everything from high end instruments to everyday accessories. On top of all of that, Jesse is a certified Fender repair tech/warranty servicer (the only one in northern Colorado), which is important to me as a primarily Fender player. They also will setup/maintain any instrument you buy from them for free as long as you own it (and their prices are very reasonable for work on instruments you didn’t get from them). Again, I can’t stress enough how good these people are to their customers. Just to give an example, I was waiting on my tax refund to buy a guitar from them, and came in almost every day to play it. I was always greeted with a smile and friendly “hello”, and after deciding on the guitar and telling them my situation, they set up the guitar for me (even asking me what size and brand of strings I prefer). They also gave me a great deal for the guitar I was trading in. I know this review is long, but I cannot stress how grateful I am to have such a professional (and locally-owned) shop in the Greeley area. Keep up the good work!
Called ahead, staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Arrived at the store, was greeted and taken care of very well.Pricing is competitive with larger chain stores….but friendly and caring staff definitely make up the small price difference! Will definitely be back!
I have instruments that aren’t from the store and the will still replace the strings.
The staff is really friendly and helpful and I love that they help with all my questions and that they have an answer for them I will use this store for all of my emergencies with music and will continue to use this store as I grow up and add more instruments to my learning.
They had a book I needed.
The absolute worst experience. They do not charge your card properly for payments. They do not return phone calls and when they answer it always is someone else you need to talk to. When they mess up and don’t charge you, nor answer calls, then you get a pounding knock at the door at 9 at night serving you. Then when you pay the entire note they give you no ownership papers.
This company is a joke. They are rude and steal from people.
Buyer beware. To many other places to shop. Thanks for the worst experience ever and I will spend a lifetime avoiding anything music depot. It anything you fundraise or sponsor.
Totally disgusted customer in Colorado!!!!!
They had my flute for 3 weeks to tune it up and replace the pads. My flute has not been playing well and after my band teacher looked at it, she noticed that none of the work was done that was supposed to be done.
Even though the state has been opened up, they still are trying to force people to wear them. Zero stars. I guess spending on small businesses is out. Amazon it is, which is a shame, because I’d prefer to go to a local store.
Great selection for AMAZING prices. The staff genuinely knows what they are talking about and are extremely helpful in every way. On top of that they are locally owned!
Why go to Guitar Center when you can get better and friendlier help at Spotlight!
Fantastic music shop with a wide selection of guitars. Very helpful assistance in purchasing. They will take the time to put every possible guitar you would want to buy in your hands and give you the full experience of each instrument’s capabilities. Locally owned, lots of attention and care to customers. I send all my guitar students there and they come out with the right gear at the right price. Great servicing on instruments. Kind and very helpfu, absolutely love having this music store near me!
nice selection of guitars and equipment ,and associated equipment … of string’s piks & suff!
I’ve got a Breedlove Stage Pursuit, 7 years old, played nearly an hour every day. Prob needs some setup by July 1 for getting back on-platform at Timberline Church. Do you have a tech available (a number of guitar stores – including Guitar Center – say they don’t have one anymore) who could do the work? Would love not to have to drive up to Cheyenne or down to Denver. Thanks.
The atmosphere is friendly, and this is clearly not a corporate chain establishment. Unfortunately, they no longer carry Taylor guitars.
.
We called to verify that they repaired musical instruments. When we got there, the desk person (who was NOT the repair person) said that they don’t really work on my brand of saxophone because they couldn’t get parts for it.
Having worked as an instrument repair person, I told them that no parts needed to be replaced, that it was a lever that needed to be moved in front of another lever, and it was a 15 minute job.
They grudgingly took the sax, but then called and left a message at my home without even allowing the repairman to look at it.
Beyond disgusted. Go someplace where your instrument can be fixed.
It was the worst customer service. All I needed was my guitar tuned up. I was given a time quote for when the guitar would be finished. When I called to ask about the guitar after the time quoted, some one told me, it wasn’t done and it would be another 3-4 days. When I asked why I was told the original time frame, and what changed that a tune up would take 5 days instead of the 1-2 I was originally quoted, the response I got was, “Well, I don’t know what to tell you.” The customer service was deplorable. I decided to go pick it up with out the work being done. When I picked it up and made a comment about why couldn’t someone have figured out how to quote it correctly, or at least notify me when they realized it was going to be longer, the guy I spoke with at the shop was rude, and even suggested that the reason it wasn’t done was somehow my fault. So, not only did I have to go pick up a guitar after it was not worked on I was then told I was also my fault that the it never got worked on. After years of me having exclusively shopped at Spotlight. I will never ever return.- As a local business I expected that customer service mattered. The current employees don’t reflect any of those values that I assume the owner does, unless I’m wrong and the employees DO reflect the values of the owner….unfortunate.
I came to Spotlight to pick out a starter violin as an adult learner. When I Arrived, the crew seemed friendly enough, but were completely unknowledgeable (about anything other than guitars) and not of much help. I probably shouldn’t have bought a violin at this point, but I needed one to begin lessons so I went for it. I was told that the store has a 7 day return policy, so I figured it was all good. I happily bought my violin and went home and had my first lesson. In the short time I began to figure out more of what I was doing, I decided I needed a larger violin to fit me. I took it back to the store before my seven days were up and was told, “This is a commissioned instrument. We can’t return or exchange it.”
NOBODY EVER TOLD ME IT WAS COMMISSIONED NOR DID IT HAVE ANY TAGS OR MARKINGS THAT WOULD SUGGEST SO.
Also, when I bought it, the fine tuning pegs were put on backwards and upside down and it was not strung my anyone who knew what they were doing. You’d think as such “professionals” they would inspect the instruments they put on the floor. After all of this, they never offered any consolation for my waste of a $250 violin plus the money I spent at a real music store to fix it. I guess I should have just known it was commissioned through magic or something. Don’t waste your time. If you want to deal with professionals, head to Boomers Music Company, Music Go Round, or hell, even Guitar Center. Literally anywhere. A pawn shop maybe?
Thanks, Spotlight, for your fantastic customer service.
10. Main Street Music
Address: 609 Main St, Windsor, CO 80550 , Ault , Colorado , United States
My Daughter has been with Main Street Music for 4 years now. She has taken lessons in piano, voice, violin, and flute.
Adina is a very good teacher, patient, creative, fun and so knowledgable. I am an older adult student who has been taking voice and music therory lessons.
I am very pleased with how much I am learning and the improvement I am making as a singer.
Cannot recommend Main Street Music enough. Great instructors, amazing flexibility with our schedules and an extrememly welcoming environment.
Very helpful with new violin and restringing. Tried lessons and decided not to continue there. No progress in lessons over 5 weeks at $90. You might have a better experience but we would not choose them again.
I went in today to check the place out. The woman working looked at me like I was crazy. I had no help with anything. Awful place to send children or anyone for music lessons.
