I just love the people that work there they’re so informative and nice
Paul at Hanger 18 is excellent at his work. My Gibson Firebird had some fret buzzing issues and I brought it in and he fixed the issue and did a perfect setup on the guitar, exactly the way I wanted it. It plays better than ever and was extremely fair priced for the work. Would highly recommend
Great guitar tech service. I was very happy with the job done. Way cheaper than guitar center
Really nice guys there, always a friendly smile.
Did some guitar repair work for me, turned out pretty good.
What a wonderful job Sylvia (Phillips) did during our sons service. She was so considerate to our requirements, we could not have asked for more….sounded amazing!!
I went in to get a string fixed on my husbands guitar and came out with a Kazoo for my oldest daughter. It only took a few minutes to put the string on (the employees did it for me and we so courteous!) and mean while I looked in there clearance section and found the perfect valentine’s gift for my husband! I plan to come back very soon so my husband can get a stand and case for his guitar. What a wonderful little store!
While I am used to handling two kids a stroller and their equipment if you are not as savvy I recommend you park on the same side of the street as the shop as traffic is very nuts!
Lots of inventory and they are willing to deal
Fun shop for sure! Eye candy hanging on all the surrounding walls. The shop’s main focus is guitars so it’s definitely the place to go if that’s your go to instrument. Workers are knowledgeable and always very helpful. It’s no breaking news that guitar shops tend to give off awkward, intimidating vibes (understandably so when you visit any shop with high pricetagged merch) and I do have to try and hide my feelings of squirminess while there, but I enjoy going and will continue to.
I went in to get my guitar repaired, the staff members sat at the counter and talked and ignored me for several minutes. Then after they finally looked at my guitar it turned out to be a very expensive repair so I decided to just buy a new guitar. One would think this would be cue to start selling a guitar, instead they ignored me some more and made me feel awkward for playing any guitar they had. So I went to swing city music right down the road and they instantly came to help and found a guitar that was right for me.
After years of taking time off from playing music, band break up really made me step away, I’ve decided to look around for a new guitar and rig, have gone to Mojo’s, have purchase three terrific instruments from them in the past 15 years, never had a bad experience, today, however, was not the same. I walked into a store deflated of its prior pulse, I was seen and ignored, walked around looking for what would be my next stage guitar. Two employees, yet no time to greet, or attempt to make a sale, to show products, I even made an attempt by asking what’s new, even then not a singular spark of interest in my affairs with them was of significance. I walked out of there for the last time, sad to see such a place become so cold and uninviting.
8. Flatlander Sound Studios, LLC
Address: 502 N Market St, Mascoutah, IL 62258 , Aviston , Illinois , United States
Worked with this guy Sunday very easy going guy wants to try and bring out the best music from you as he can. Very comfortable relaxed environment. Very professional guy made my music sound amazing. Highly recommend anyone to this studio for your music needs.
My band just wrapped up an 11 song album with Rick at Flatlander Sound Studios and I’m positive there’s not a better place to get more bang for your buck. Rick is about as laid back as they come and cared about this album as much as each band member did. He’s patient and professional and has top of the line equipment. When you walk into his studio you will not believe you’re in Mascoutah, IL. It’s like the town’s best kept secret. If you have an upcoming project no matter how big or small, go to Rick at Flatlander Sound Studios. We love this guy.
We love coming here for Coffee, relaxing spot before starting the work day! (They also deliver in Breese, IL!!!)
Great service and great coffee! Love to have a good coffee place in town 🙂
Excellent iced coffee ☕️. My wife and son live on it. Some of the best breakfast goodies in town are available here. They also feature unique entertainment opportunities like puzzle contests or just simple quiet time to relax and refresh with a good book… Staff is always friendly and helpful!
Love the lavender, brown sugar latte.
11. Miller Music Inc
Address: 4510 N Illinois St #3, Swansea, IL 62226 , Aviston , Illinois , United States
Mr. STEVE Miller treats his Clients like Friends. There is a Good Selection of Pianos & Musical Instruments, Learning Books AND TEACHERS !
Love this store. Owner is very helpful and doesn’t just try and sell u stuff you don’t need. Been doing business here for over a year and I look forward to more to come.
We brought in a clarinet to be fixed. It was fixed on the spot! Great service, pleasant interactions, all around great visit. This is now our go to place for repairs and reeds!
They appear to no longer be in business.
I took my niece to Miller Music to see about having an issue fixed with her flute. The guy working looked at it for a few seconds and said he didn’t notice any issues (leaks) visible to the eye. I then asked if it would be okay for her to play the instrument for him so that he could listen, and hopefully make a diagnosis that way. He responded with, “Yeah, hurry up.” Needless to say, the instrument is still having an issue. When we purchased the couple of instruments we have, he was polite. Now that there’s an issue, “Mr. Nice Guy” left the building. I’d never recommend anyone to buy anything else from them again.
The owners were rude and condescending. I got the impression that not EVERYONE was welcome in their store. They may have a large selection of music, but I’ll take my money and my dignity to other music stores.
Do not put an item on consignment with this business. You will never hear from them again. Disgraceful business tactics + no communication regarding the issue. I will do everything possible to discredit this business.
12. Aviston Family Restaurant/The Veranda Bar
Address: 201 Harrison St, Aviston, IL 62216 , Aviston , Illinois , United States
Good home styled food and on Fridays they have a clam and lobster chowder that’s great..
The food was delicious the prices were reasonable the staff outstanding.
Way above average is very good
Good service! Food was good. My husband ordered breakfast & said it was very good!
Good food nice ppl
Don’t come here and expect prompt service. It took 10 minutes to get our drink order taken and by the time the server came back for our order we needed refills. Four people in our party, and 10 people in the whole place and took 45 minutes to get food. And it is a family dinner. No complicated order, no substituted request. The cook (s) must be doing a “One at a Time” grill.
Entertainment was GREAT
Slow service, ok food, and not very clean.
Asked several times for napkins amd never recieved them.
Asked for barbecue sauce twice and we did not feel very welcomed.
