My daughter didn’t enjoy the lessons. Rooms are small and cramped, and the instructor refused to practice her school music with her. Additionally, the instructor tried to sell her copies of pages out of a book every week. I’m not sure how other instructors were, but this one caused us to find a new place.

Don Bailey is just the best! Super great guy, experienced, talented, creative, and FUN engineer to have on any and every project. I can’t recommend him highly enough. (He also has lots of famous people stories that you can drag out of him if you’re really nice and make him feel like he’s not bragging…!). Five stars! :))
I have recorded here many times and each time is a pleasure. The space is awesome—it is intimate and has professional gear making for an outstanding sound—and versatile. Don Bailey is also a pleasure to work with. He is honest, helpful, compassionate, and professional. Hopefully I can get back in there soon; the best sessions I’ve been a part of have been held in that space!!
This place rocks. Recording here is always a thrill and a breeze. Don is a great producer and engineer; he knows just how to make you sound like you.
The hours are not ones that accommodate my needs and the atmosphere would be better if it were mostly out of doors. Jazz and music are not very prominent.
Arrived here on a Friday evening near 7:00 pm. Four patrons talking at the bar and I’m the only patron in the lounge that seats about 30, mostly at 2-top cocktail tables and an island of leather seats seating eight. As you walk in, you walk straight down stairs then to the right. Lighting is obviously dim and cozy, giving a secluded, Speakeasy feeling.
They have two small humidors, with Montey Cristos, Oliva, Rocky Patel, Gurkha’s, CAO and a smattering of other known cigar brands. The filter provides an ample breeze removing the cigar smoke from dancing in your eyes.
Bartender, Michelle is friendly and inviting. Jazz begins at 9:00 pm.
My spot … always a nice time
Only giving one star cause I can’t give it a zero.
I (29 yr old) woman have allergies and was in search of napkins since I didn’t have any in my car. I walked in around 10:30 pm on a Wednesday night. I asked the man on the stool downstairs and other folks at the bar if they “could point me to some paper towels or napkins”. The closest man to me at the bar says “Walmart”. A woman at the bar says try the bathroom.
I get to the corner to see the bathroom in a narrow hallway. I grab 3 paper towels 1 for immediately and the other two to hold me over til I get home. I turn to find a man asking me
“what are you doing?”
I just came for napkins
“I’m the owner, Are you getting a drink?napkins cost money. You need to ask for stuff”
I say I asked as soon as I came in and think does this man want me to buy a drink for using 3 paper towels
“Don’t give me that face. No, you didn’t I’ve been sitting here all night”
It’s the very first thing I did. Ask if someone could point me to some napkins.
“You didn’t ask me, so I’ll take those and you need to leave.”
I surprised by the owners behavior quietly followed him out.
Once outside he continues to tell me how
“nothing is free and I should’ve asked and what do I even need the napkins for”
Just disappointing, I’ve gone to open mics here and now I’ll never be back.
I can’t speak highly enough about Dr. Allison! Through his teaching I have rekindled my love of playing the flute and grown my skills far beyond what I knew I was capable of achieving! He makes lessons fun and entertaining- celebrating every incremental improvement and breakthrough along the way. In addition to becoming a better flute player he has also helped me in growing as a well-rounded musician- always ensuring that the musical message within each piece is brought to life. Whether you are a beginner just starting out or an advanced player seeking to win the principal chair- I have observed him adapt his style so that each student feels challenged and encouraged along the way. Thank you, Dr. Allison, for helping me discover my musical voice through my flute!

I had to get my guitar restrung while I was in Belleville today. The gentleman who waited on me was very personable and knowledgeable about guitars. He strung my guitar quickly and efficiently, This shop is well stocked with all kinds of books and music for all instruments. I will be coming back when I am in the area.
Miller Music is awesome. A great experience from beginning to end. Steve is a no pressure type of guy. Fun to get to know, professional & easy to be around. My delivery included his brother who was just as nice. I would recommend Millers to anybody. The piano I bought looks like new. Thanks for a great & easy experience.
We brought in a clarinet to be fixed. It was fixed on the spot! Great service, pleasant interactions, all around great visit. This is now our go to place for repairs and reeds!
They appear to no longer be in business.
Simply call to find out the brand of acoustic guitars they sold when I mentioned name brands the lady was set off very rude on the phone and hung up on me her name was Sharon
The owners were rude and condescending. I got the impression that not EVERYONE was welcome in their store. They may have a large selection of music, but I’ll take my money and my dignity to other music stores.
I took my niece to Miller Music to see about having an issue fixed with her flute. The guy working looked at it for a few seconds and said he didn’t notice any issues (leaks) visible to the eye. I then asked if it would be okay for her to play the instrument for him so that he could listen, and hopefully make a diagnosis that way. He responded with, “Yeah, hurry up.” Needless to say, the instrument is still having an issue. When we purchased the couple of instruments we have, he was polite. Now that there’s an issue, “Mr. Nice Guy” left the building. I’d never recommend anyone to buy anything else from them again.

While I was looking for my textbooks, an employee noticed that I didn’t know which ones to get and offered to help. He quickly assisted me and the rest of my visit went smoothly.
Nice and clean, knowledgeable staff, customer service is ok.
Friendly, helpful staff!
They sold me a printer with my financial aid I got home and it’s broken. Going to be interesting trying to get the money back.
Prices are high compared to online but selection is great.
Not much of a book store than a merch store for SWIC. Overprices books and products as usual. Its pretty though
Worst selection of any major chain.

Wow. The staff was amazing. Took the time to explain to my daughter all about her instrument. Showed her how to put it together and clean it. Store was open and organized. Awesome experience
Got a music book, very nice….
Went in to get a string replaced on my daughter’s guitar, they were extremely nice and even tuned it after replacing the string. It only took about 5 minutes and we were on our way, will definitely be doing all our shopping here for anything music related.
Great selection!
This location was respectful and as helpful as they could be in my experience; HOWEVER, when i reached out to customer service regarding being double charged the representative hung up in my face. I called back 3 additional times requesting to speak with a supervisor and was immediately hung up on yet again. UNBELIEVABLE.
Great place to bring your child for an instrument, and they offer other services
Fun trying great 12 string guitars and playing songs with others.
Just want to clarify a couple things for those who might find themselves in a pinch, having to sell their gear to Guitar Center. They offer up to 40% of market value for your guitar, “brand new” or “mint”. Not 60%. And then chop 20$ right off the top of your take, for a “restringing fee”. They will pay you in cash up to 700$, not 1000. Guitar Center has been dependable in a pinch, but I just want you all to know what to actually expect if you choose to do business with them.
Nice selection, helpful staff.
Great staff
All the employees look homeless lol
Ghetto lady was very disrespectful and didn’t even give us large flurry.
Semi not so friendly,,,ehhh…..
