The renovations made the place look great. It is now an even better place to enjoy live music.
Wonderful guitar gallery that includes an amazing old theater. They host many local musicians and also allow the School of Rock to present their student rock concerts. A true member of the local scene. Go check out their guitars and other instruments….and catch a show.
Vintage theater with amazing history and vibe.
it’s alright. selling broken guitars for the pieces they’re asking is outrageous, though.
Nice local concert venue. BYOB.
Had no idea how cool & big this place was on the inside. Saw a great show & enjoyed the ambience. Check it out for a live performance sometime. I’ve disregarded this spot for 3.5 yrs but will likely be attending more shows now that I’m aware of this gem.
Worst experience with a music store ever! Lack of knowledge. Limited amount of guitar strings. Just terrible experience first and last time there!
Canceled concert and never got refund
2. Arkansas Musicworks
Address: 2400 SE J St, Bentonville, AR 72712 , Bentonville , Arkansas , United States
It’s the first time I had been to a place of music that sells music instruments from guitars to pianos from tambourine doldrums . P.A. systems to strings for fiddles to cellos and a warehouse full of all the parts to fix it all. The one place that has it all.
Employees are very helpful and friendly. They have always had what we where after in stock.
The best music store for all your musical needs. Very attentive staff. Yet they will leave you to try instruments on your own.
Nice guys old school music guys with a lot of knowledge
There was a guy there and knew a lot about guitars and help me out with a old guitar I had he was very nice to me
Great place
Case And bow is falling apart. I wouldn’t recommend musicworks to anybody. Complete rip off. I got a 15 inch viola and within a year I had to get rid of it, because it was poorly made.
Selection was ok. Only 2 left handed guitars both strata, no lefty basses. Limited drum selection. Good selection of music books and accessories, though. Guy behind the counter (older dude named Tom) was a jerk both times I’ve been in there. Will not be going back
I thought I would take a chance on them, and bought an AllParts p90 spacer kit. Simple enough, most p90’s dogear covers are the same or very close. The All Parts one is WAY too big for Gibson, Epi, Lindy Fralin, and most dogear p90’s. Had they adequately given the measurements on their ad I would have bought elsewhere. They will refund, but with a %15 restocking fee because I opened it to see if I could make do with it, but it is almost 1/4″ too wide and 1/8 too long. What a waste of time. I went to a nearby autoparts store and bought a set of gasket materials and cut out my own in 15 minutes. Don’t buy the ALL PARTS p90 spacer kit. Or any of the others for that matter get a gasket kit and cut your own for $11, any height you want.
3. Block Street Records Bentonville
Address: 100 NW 2nd St #110, Bentonville, AR 72712 , Bentonville , Arkansas , United States
Awesome selection in a sweet little space! Great music, rad atmosphere, check this place out!
Great place, people, and selection of vinyls.
Friendly people, great selection of new and old records. The bargain bins are fun to rummage through.
It’s a nice place for sure, clean orderly and the VIP rope at the door is a nice touch. But it really only appeals to one demographic of music fan. Which is vinyl collectors, and even then the selection is very limited and mostly newer albums. Also seems like everything is a bit on the expensive side. If you’re looking for CDs they have an extremely small amount but it’s not enough to even lure in hardcore collectors. Glad I stopped by but wouldn’t do it again anytime soon.
Nice little street corner record store. Mostly new and released with some great hard to find used. Go get a coffee from Onyx next door and spend some time perusing their selection. If new records are your deal, you will not be disappointed.
The atmosphere was so nice, just a little bit cramped, and I felt a little lost at certain points because their labeling system is a bit confusing. Other than that it was amazing!!
Sadly, this location has been a bit of a disapointment. Brought a new release out over a week late and didn’t restock the new release. Also, if I can purchase a record at Barnes and Nobel at a cheaper cost that’s a concern. We want so badly to support this local meant-to-be gem, but it will be some time before we try again.
Not sure if anyone in Bentonville has been to any record store anywhere else but I think they need to get out more.
Understocked.
Overated
Vastly overpriced.
When you can’t find a used record under $10 you know it’s just another example of profiteering from the ” vinyl revival”
Sorry I wasted an hour going out of my way to visit.
