I rented a speaker and mic for an event and it started raining shortly after I rented the equipment within the next hr once the rain slacked up a little bit because i didn’t want to get their equipment wet for numerous reasons. So I then immediately returned the equipment unused, never even removed the equipment from my vehicle and they still charged me full price for the rental. They’re rental policy is horrible. If I have to rent equipment again it will not be from EatMyBeats based off my experience with the rental equipment. I work retail and I understand policies but I also understand customer experience and how it effects business. The guy that I returned the equipment too showed no empathy and basically made me feel like EatMyBeats doesn’t care that you never used it and we’re going to take your money regardless.
Booked two parties at once and tried to make us wait 2 hours to start ours when we were the ones on the books. Compromised with an agreement then they did not hold up on their agreement. Man was VERY rude!
$70 restocking fee!

Worst customer service! Really had no interest in talking to my child who is the one to be playing the instrument. Will gladly spend my thousands of dollars somewhere else!
I was looking for an instrument on a budget and they said they didn’t in a rude manner and while walking out, I heard them laughing at me. Absolutely disappointed that people would treat potential customers in such a manner.

I spoke to Mr. Huggins who connected me with his mover Mr. Coleman who would move a baby grand piano for us. Mr. Coleman called within an hour and confirmed his availability. He did an excellent job picking up our new piano and transporting it safely to our home. It was wrapped carefully and transported carefully with no damage at all. He was friendly and responsive. Thank you so much for your excellent service.

He has been patient, energetic, and flexible to our schedules. My child loves piano lessons with Mr. Steve. He even DJs weddings and other events!
Great place to learn a musical instrument. Steve is a great person who wants to take care of you or your child’s needs when it comes to music. He even DJs for social events such as weddings across the USA.
I would highly recommend Steve Rayborn for any of your special events. He was our DJ for our wedding this past weekend, 10/28, and was blown away by his professionalism and knowledge.
Not only a DJ, he can play several different instruments.
I had never been in the store before and stopped by to sell a guitar today. I spoke with Dan and he was very friendly and helpful, and gave me a fair price for the guitar. I would recommend checking them out.

Sadly, it appears that GG is moving away from guitars — their bread and butter. This is no longer the place where I bought a Taylor 614ce and a Rickenbacker 381. Nowadays there’s not much of a selection, and the actual Fenders, etc., have been replaced by the cheaper, Asian-made cousins from Squier and the like. Too bad; I know times are tough, but it seems that GG is running up the white flag and surrendering.

The store itself is pretty good. I can usually find what I’m looking for there and the prices are usually competitive. I don’t mind paying an extra buck or two to buy locally, when the item is right there and I can play with it.
The problem with this store has always been their staff. They are all arrogant and rude. The main manager has a downright mean attitude and demeanor. All of the staff has a holier than though attitude and they make you feel like you are imposing on them when you want help. Oh, sorry I bothered you. You know what? Nevermind. I’ll get it on Amazon for less in two days.
I have bought a lot of gear at this store and still will, but it’s definitely not because of the staff. It will strictly be due to convenience. I shop in several departments, so it’s not just a department-level thing, either.
Get your act together, folks. Wearing a laminate all day doesn’t make you a rock star.
Surprisingly good selection. Was impressed with the acoustic guitar selection- it ranges from cheap starter to nice starter to midrange and beyond. Prices are reasonable. Staff is helpful and friendly
I would normally give this place a 2 or 3 star review because prior visits taught me that some of the persons that work here are rude and arrogant.
If this were my 1st visit here today, I would have given a 5 star review. The person who helped and saw to me today was very helpful and respectful. I hope future visits can be this enjoyable.
For example, they did not have what I was looking for but the employee not only directed me to another manufacturers equivelant but kept me from making a purchase I did not want. It was electric guitar strings. They did not have the sizes I wanted so in a hurry I just grabbed the next size I could find without realizing they had a wound 3rd. That woulda sucked because I do not play jazz lead (althouhg I do like jazz strings tone).

The staff and store in hoover is a wonderful place and this review is not towards that store but the online store is horrible!
I recently order a large amount of equipment from the online site. I was told 3 to 5 days shipping. On the 5th day the order was partially shipped. I called customer service service serveral times and was told several different things that all turned out to be not true. As an example we are understaffed and your order has been in processing for 4 days a brief hold amd its ready to ship and it will leave this afternoon. Shipped a day later. Another lie i was told was we will have it in the store it is being shipped to by the end of the week even if we have to overnight the order. That didnt happen either. Long story short my order cam in 11 days after ordering it. How is that 3 to 5 days? Why does it take 4 days and 2 phone calls to process my order? After this experience i will not by from guitar center again. The online store has now made it were i will not due business with guitar center again. This does suck because it is cloae to my house and work and i buy alot of equipment. Looks like i will be doing alot of shopping on amazon from now on

Man this place has went down hill.. Customer service was a joke. I had to round someone up. They want give nothing for your trade. They had very little inventory of drum pedals. I drove 40 miles and they made me feel they were doing me a favor answering my questions.. Absolutely want be back.
