Sharon is awesome! Super soulful and a true professional.
Sharon is exceptional and an amazing sound healer! With the mix of the sound bowls, instruments and her intoxicating voice, your body and mind experience sensations and visions that are incredibly healing. I’ve had the opportunity to work with her twice now and would highly recommend her healing services. You won’t regret it!
Incredible talent! My fiancé got a flute lesson from Sharon and his skills went through the roof after just one hour lesson. Amazing!! Highly recommend — Beautiful voice, beautiful musical skills. Book her at your next venue or listen to Sharon’s music asap!
4. Sedona Music Boxes
Address: 336 AZ-179 a209, Sedona, AZ 86336 , Big Park , Arizona , United States
This is the place to fulfill your childhood dream of toys you always wanted but never had!
Beautiful, high quality music boxes. You can even order custom pieces. Nan, the shop owner, has helped us select the perfect music boxes for our style over the years.
Music boxes were lovely. Staff wasn’t interested in speaking to us.
I loved the selection of product and wide variety but I’m very upset with the woman who was running the store. She did not follow CDC protocol at all and even told two older women that they are allowed to remove their mask. I understand it’s a new standard but this is a tourist attractions and the possibly of catching COVID is higher. Remember not to treat others different based on their appearance.
The woman working there was incredibly sweet and helpful. What spoiled everything was this ridiculous and offensive anti mask wearing sign at the check out. If I had seen it before I started shopping, I would have not spent money there. In the future, I hope the owner will seek a doctors advice before spreading dangerous misinformation.
The products were very charming; however, I will not be returning. The owner shows blatant disregard for covid precautions and went so far as to inform my mother and I that she will not mask. We were both masked and she waited until we were mid sale to bring up the topic and announce her stance. She also has a sign spreading blatant misinformation. I am a healthcare worker who has watched patients die of covid-19 and I will not support a shop run by someone with such blatant disregard for human life.
5. Redbox
Address: 6051 AZ-179, Sedona, AZ 86351 , Big Park , Arizona , United States
My friend and I walked to this place from our hotel. Very cute and they had great coffee! We tried the iced Campfire Latte (half sweet) and the breakfast burrito which were SO good. Service was excellent and the employees gave us recommendations of things to do while we’re in town. Overall great experience.
Wanted the Matcha Latte, but they were out of matcha. No problem. Got the Drip coffee, which was DELICIOUS!! My friends all loved their coffee choices, also. One got the Blueberry muffin, which she said had a great blueberry flavor even though there weren’t many blueberries in it. The gals were super friendly, fun, and accommodating. The atmosphere was great! We’ll stop here on the way out of town tomorrow.
Without trying to be ‘precious’, it’s hard for an Australian to get a decent coffee in the states. This place was a great find.
Pour over coffee was perfect. Good pastries and environment. I would suggest a few more breakfast options to complement the good variety of coffee and espresso options.
I was exhausted from hiking and probably seemed like an airhead when I ordered my coffee but the barista was still very kind and helpful. We ordered 2 cold press coffees with vanilla and cream. We had to stir them a lot because all the syrup was at the bottom but once we did they were tasty.
Needs work…. Austere decor. Coffee is ok. Staff was friendly. The food menu is brief, but with options for folks with dietary restrictions. I had the oatmeal with berries and banana, it tasted fine however the portion was scant, 3/4 cup?, and the banana was obmitted. It cost $6, so I expected more.
The quick food and coffee were pretty okay, but the service was a bit strange. When we walked in there was no one in line, but the two people working the counter seemed a bit scrambled by our arrival. The ordering process was clunky. We order a drip coffee, an iced coffee, a toasted bagel, and a reheated quiche. We waited for 20 minutes for the food, and all that arrived was the quiche, they had forgotten the bagel. It was just frustrating that the place was empty, the menu and our order were simple, yet they couldn’t get it out smoothly or timely. The experience was heightened because we were in a hurry, but that’s why we stopped at a coffee shop without a sit down type menu.
Asked for a large got what it looked like to be a small or a tall Starbucks drink. I ordered 2 large matcha drinks that tasted horrible not even matcha it was light green milk for 17 bucks which I thought was outrageous. I will never come back here again!!
8. Goddess Alchemy
Address: 44 Finley Dr Unit 444, Sedona, AZ 86336 , Big Park , Arizona , United States
I went in looking for a very specific item, knowing this store was the only one in the world that could possibly have it. They did and it was in a format I hadn’t dreamed possible.
It was also free!
I did not get to meet Tommy, but judging from the excellent attitude of the clerk, I am sure he’s a rad dude. Thanks!
GREAT GUY! Stopped in and talked with Tommy while browsing Jerome stores. He let me and my (ex) wife talk his ear off about our 17 year old son’s interest in playing guitar. He also provided us with advice and ideas for our son’s interest and improvement. Lots of great stories from his many years of performing. Cool store; cool guy.
Tommy is the nicest guy!! We chatted all things music and ukes for about 45 minutes. He is so helpful and knowledgeable. I bought the kala ubass from him and got a great deal!!! You don’t want to miss this uke shop!!! A real treat and lots of good quality ukes at great prices.
Dude man. Stick to some normal operating hours. I’ve passed through Jerome twice now and you haven’t been opened when you said you were supposed to be. It’s 10:30 am now says your supposed to be open on google. Sorry for the poor review but really wanna check out your store
An awesome rock and roll memorabilia shop in historic Jerome Arizona…kind of hard to find tho.
10. Red Rose Thriftique
Address: 41 Bell Rock Plaza, Sedona, AZ 86351 , Big Park , Arizona , United States
+JMJ This very well organized and well stocked little department style thrift shop is upscale in appeareance with moderate pricing. I had a very pleasant conversation with the thrift shop clerk who shared that he66 began his affiliation with Red Rose when he rescued a dog (or two.) What I like about Red Rose Thriftique mostly is that the store’s proceeds help to fund the programs hosted by Red Rose Animal care: free or low cost of spay/neuter, assistance paying for medications. Lastly, they do have a Facebook page which they encourage everyone to visit and to “like.”
This store is a great place to shop!!
Great stuff but quite pricy.
We were traveling through the Sedona area & decided to take a detour to see this place based on its Google reviews which were mostly accurate. It’s a cute place, clean, friendly… but we were disappointed by the prices. There were some sales going but it seemed like only undesirable inventory was on sale and the stuff we would’ve liked to buy was 2-3 times more than what we would expect at a thrift store. Since there are plenty of organizations that [selflessly] help animals and plenty of thrift stores that truly DO have “thrift store prices”, we don’t see this place as having an edge or any good reason to go back.
NOT SAFE! This store advocates no mask wearing and it walks the walk.
I’ve read the store’s response to my review. They again made their case for not doing everything they can to protect their customers.
I witnessed 3 women walk in n three women walk out and not one bought a single item…seems like their mote interested in designing a fashion show that is NOT for you to purchase rather than trying to make money to help animals.. Lower your prices…help the animals!!!!
Bought DVDs, but apparently they don’t open them up to make sure the DVD is in the case. I paid for empty cases. Hate this store.
UPDATE: The DVDs WERE taped shut, which is why I didn’t check them. You taped up empty cases. I don’t care who you claim to benefit, you stole from me, and your reply is EXTREMELY unprofessional. I’m glad you replied as such, so everyone can see the nastiness you heap on your customers.
11. Oak Creek Espresso
Address: 6500 AZ-179, Sedona, AZ 86351 , Big Park , Arizona , United States
Awesome coffee shop in West (?) Sedona, really accessible. Great selection of coffee & tea and alternative milks. Great pastry selection from sweet to savory – includes Vegan & GF options! SUPER friendly staff. For all you Starbucks addicts, swing by and taste the real rainbow.
I had a great experience here. The lady at the counter was very pleasant and we had a nice conversation. Definitely above and beyond. Coffee was good and they happened to have a band practice that day. That was just icing on the cake. Thanks guys!
The iced hazelnut latte was delicious! I’ve been drinking too much Starbucks. This place was great! Good atmosphere, lots of seating, and friendly staff. Good pastries too!
Great coffee and blueberry muffins!
Coffee is really good when they are open. Went the first day I arrived, sign said closed at 12. Went the next day before 12, not open. Went the next day to get ice cream for my granddaughter as advertised, didn’t have any. Says ‘bakery’, was very limited. I did get a coffee and that was excellent.
Nice place in town to get a cup of coffee and a light snack.
Honestly the coffees were great, we had the chai and it was delicious. We waited in the drive thru 15 minutes the first time and the second time we tried again we waited over 20 minutes. We tried to order pastries but they were out of everything and the girl says this happens all the time, which might mean they need to order or prepare more. We also asked for our croissant to be warmed up and they served it cold. We were the only one in the drive thru with one car out front, but the people inside we’re just playing around and not really doing much. On top of that it was $17 for two coffees and a cold croissant. We won’t be back. :/
I stopped by to try and grab an ice coffee. They dont serve standard ice coffee and only cold brew. I’ve had my fair share of cold brew and this batch tasted absolutely disgusting. It was way too bitter and frankly tasted burnt. I had my travel buddy try, and they mentioned the same thoughts about the coffee.
The shop itself is a nice size and plenty of seating. There was also parking available and convenient.
I’m sure the rest of their stuff might be good. The employees did kind of stare at me because I wasn’t sure what I wanted and went to put my stuff down at the table. Didnt appreciate the stares or awkward looks, but overall they were nice.
Since I was traveling thru, I most likely wont be back. If you’re looking for true breakfast food, dont stop here. It’s the basic pastries and oatmeal stuff. We were looking for a sit down breakfast joint.
My opinion, you could try and it and see for yourself. since I only order the cold brew, I dont have much else to review.
My Americano was burnt to the point that I gagged lol
12. John’s Corner Music Shop
Address: 8680 AZ-69, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314 , Big Park , Arizona , United States
Ol’ man John and the crew are the coolest and most helpful musical people I have ever met. If you want a hell-of-a-deal on an instrument and for the BEST price in town- you have found the right place. Also, the owner John can fix/repair ANY instrument you need fixing! He is also very gifted at making his own unique instruments! <3 We love you PAPA JOHN!
Went in to buy clarinet reeds with my 10 year old. Ended up staying awhile making some new friends. Super sweetheart of a guy (Jon). Chris was way cool too. Jon showed my daughter a few things on the guitar. He makes interesting instruments too. It’s all second hand and really good prices. My daughter will be getting guitar lessons for Christmas. What a great little shop!
John’s is simply the best. Always learn something new. They have a little something for everyone. Fun place, everyone is always welcome and their is usually someone playing a little something. A Musicians home away from home. I just can’t sas enough great things about this spot.
Low quality gear that is way over priced.
wouldn’t give it even one star! I just went in to grab some guitar strings and was never once acknowledged the whole time I was there. Not even a greeting. needless to say I walked out. Not sure what the deal is in this town but I have yet to encounter any sort of professionalism with the businesses here!!!
13. Decanter Tasting Room
Address: 7000 AZ-179 A-100, Sedona, AZ 86351 , Big Park , Arizona , United States
My husband and I got there about 30 minutes until close due to an unfortunate road closure. However, we were still treated so well by Brienna (Brianna?) She was so sweet and knowledgeable. We got a wine flight, beer flight, and charcuterie board. We enjoyed them all! The charcuterie was amazing! My husband really enjoyed the Oak Creek Amber Ale he tried and I personally liked the rosè I tried! The atmosphere was super cool! I will definitely go back if I’m in the area again!
Love this atmosphere and the service!! Highly recommend. Cheers!
Would absolutely recommend the Arizona red wine flight. Cameron was our waitress and explained each wine thoroughly, and was very attentive. My husband and I will definitely be back next time we are in Oak Creek / Sedona area. They had live music as well which is always a plus☺️ thanks Cameron!
Pretentious but nicely and expensive. Thats all.
Lovely little place to stop for a wine tasting. I wish they had more food options but the meat and cheese board was tasty. Dog friendly patio!
We enjoyed our visit. Great selection of wine by the glass.
This place could be great but the service sucks. We were seated by the same girl that ended up being our server but were never given a menu or anything until we finally asked who was taking care of our table. Even after that it was a struggle to get anyone to bring water or get the check. We couldn’t leave quick enough.
Very underwhelming. Cold pita bread, had to remind the waitress/manager for each next flight of wine tasting. They seemed unorganized and challenged to serve people well.
Not sure if they were short staffed or not but we waited 20 minutes before we got another pour from wine flight. We ordered hummus and canceled it took an hour.before almost getting it. The mask our server wore was very disturbing. It was a see through plastic one that gathered moisture in it and you can see it dripping. gross.
14. Arizona Music Pro
Address: 122 E Rte 66, Flagstaff, AZ 86001 , Big Park , Arizona , United States
Always get top quality customer service here, they are extremely friendly, easy going, and helpful. I especially appreciate the Instrument repairs guy, I think his name is Neil, who will put you first as a person and give you the top of top quality service, it’s good to know there is still that type of humane top quality business interaction, thank you Neil.
This place is amazing! They fixed my guitar with no charge! Thanks to Neil my guitar sounds so much better!
I’m a regular client of amp for strings and other general items for my instruments however i was super impressed by the repair shop! I took in my electric bass to get a new nut installed, and without fuss or the feeling i usually get of disturbing the tech at such places they swooped up my bass and performed a quality professional fix including sizing the nut for the strings i use! To say i was blown away by the service would be an understatement, if you need your instrument repaired and comfort in knowing your musical investment is going to be taken care of in the best possible condition and handled with respect and care go here!!!
Brought a PRS in to have the intonation adjusted. Quoted me one price, and upon picking it up, they charged an additional $15, and nobody could answer why. They said the “luthier” (and I use that term lightly) would call me and tell me why the price was more. That never happened. Upon getting the guitar home, the strings were set so low they were absolutely unplayable. Fret buzz on every note. The intonation was off on all six strings. And the worst part is one of my bridge screws was lost and replaced with a screw that doesn’t match. Complete waste of money. First and last time they get my business. Sub standard work, and poor customer service.
To follow up… Neil called me several times to follow up and make things right. I missed the call each time but he left messages stating he would correct the problems. Unfortunately I’ve moved away from the area so unable to take him up on his offer, but it is much appreciated. He was willing to go out of his way to make it right for me.
Thank you Neil!! This guy totally hooked up the hardware. Then actually took the time to explain to me, how to do it myself. Quality merch and inspiring customer service.
I’ve been in this store many times. Sometimes I found what I was looking for and some not. But I have never been treated with anything but concern for what I needed. “Just a suggestion to all folks that don’t like the way people look at them. Take a look in the mirror at what they see.”
Try Facebook marketplace or anywhere else. This place will rip you off. Plus they aren’t very polite and won’t let you play their instruments if they don’t think you Look like you can afford it.
I’ve never met a group of people who are so condescending, rude, and blatantly disrespectful. This business is just taking up space in downtown flagstaff that could be used for something more friendly, relevant, and helpful. If you’re going to be a music shop, teach people about music, encourage them to try new instruments, help with purchases, and EMBRACE the community.
Not the greatest selection, and the workers didn’t seem to care that we were even there. Played on some of the instruments a bit, but nobody offered help or advice or anything. They seemed to be out of stock on quite a few items I asked about – but they were “getting some in next week”. OK, sure.
15. The Blue Note
Address: 3250 Gateway Blvd #262, Prescott, AZ 86303 , Big Park , Arizona , United States
I had a PRS in need of some work to make it playable. Rick did a great job installing new pickups, new nut and a set up including adjusting the intonation. It’s like night and day. I was very impressed and wouldn’t hesitate to go back in the future if my guitars need a “tune up”. 5 stars.
This place is really special. The owner is literally a legendary custom guitar builder, and the place is packed with photos and artifacts from some of music’s biggest names. Every time I go to Prescott from Sedona, I have to stop by. He fixed my Taylor guitar that another shop had messed up and it plays like a dream. The selection is fantastic. This is truly a rare gem in the music store business. Go check it out, and if you need some new equipment, this store does not disappoint.
Great place
Listed as open on Monday. Drove from Spring Valley to find them closed. Need to correct this.
The owner is a pretty cool guy. Very knowledgeable on everything in the store. He has also made guitars for some of the biggest names in music history.
The owner of this establishment is beyond rude, he didn’t answer any questions (which I believe is because he has 0 knowledge of anything pertaining to his little business) and he over prices everything. I understand it’s a local business so prices will be higher but his USED banged up instruments are at least 70% higher than anywhere else for the same NEW instruments which is unreasonable.
I’ll be shopping at a honest local music shop.
Thank You
16. Gray Dog Music
Address: 231 N Cortez St, Prescott, AZ 86301 , Big Park , Arizona , United States
Great service at this place. Great place to checkout very nice amps and Guitars. They are always ready to get that special axe of the wall to let you give it a whirl! I have been in there many times without buying a whole lot, and they always treat me like i am there best customer. I will be making a dream purchase there very soon!
Just a Great shop with lots of cool amps and guitars Addison is the Best
Nice, friendly family owned shop with a great selection of used guitars and reasonable prices.
Its a nice store really small some prices are expensive but overall good store nice customer service
Great atmosphere and good service. The special of a day which was a beef salad was rather mediocre and tasteless.
Owner operator was extremely helpful to blind customer I was chauffeuring
Gray Dog music is only good for when you need something in an emergency, otherwise there’s no point is paying those prices. Prices that you only realize are so high when you get all the way to the register since almost nothing in the store has a clearly marked price on it. You have to individually inquire for every item… Even there used equipment was priced similarly to buying it brand new elsewhere. To top it off the gentleman working the counter actually got short with me because I kept having to ask what all there stuff cost. Horrible experience would not recommend to my worst enemy.
Parking: The parking is the ONLY good thing about Grey Dog Music.
It’s a nice store. But they only sell guitars and related supplies. The pedal selection was weak if I was looking for pedals I would go online. Pretty much zero music scene in Prescott anymore. They cater to trendoids in my opinion. The selection was a huge bummer for me nothing but acoustic guitars.
17. Sam Ash Music Stores
Address: 4402 W Cactus Rd, Glendale, AZ 85304 , Big Park , Arizona , United States
Great people always willing to help. Knowledgeable in their crafts. Andrea and Nick in pro-audio are savage associates of audio.
Always get the best service when I go in! Michael Strenn does awesome making sure I get everything I need and answers any questions I have.
Great friendly staff. Excellent customer service. Good wide selection. Definitely recommended
Almost no selection of reeds for soprano saxophone.
I purchased a guitar yesterday 2/19/2021. The staff was very friendly, and more than willing to help. They acted very professionally and you can tell the people really enjoy what they do. I’ll purchase from them again.
While my son returned a guitar, I shopped through the piano music. I apparently need more lessons. Not much for easy to play tunes without kids on the cover. But I found something regardless.
I brought in two items, a near-mint-condition Pearl double kick-drum pedal and a good-condition Pearl steel snare drum, for store credit and was offered $60 for each one. There was no negotiation. I took the deal because I am impatient and wanted to use the money to buy other items right away. That was my bad. It’s just that I used to think music stores had a different philosophy than other retailers; that they genuinely wanted to help musicians and not just maximize profits. I now realize that I’ve been mistaken. Lesson learned, but I’m DONE with Sam Ash.
As a store this is a lovely place. The other departments were nice. But I have no clue what happened to the DRUM department.
They have close to 15 electric kits set out and today when I went in to test some of them out, I could not. They were all broken, not properly plugged in, or half set up. The only kit I went in there to play was the new Roland electric because I am actually considering getting one. It was plugged in ready to go set up and everything and yet I still couldn’t play it because it was on display on a large stage and the employee told me serious offers only. Guess he didn’t want the commission.
The acoustic kits were in bad shape, out of tune, and the only acoustic kit I was told we are allowed to play is in the sound proof cymbal room. Before I went in I was told to “keep it down”…(Drums?) I proceed to go in there to play and they didn’t even have decent pedals or cymbals on the kit anyway. Whomever is in charge of this department should no longer be. The drum department is in need of some tender love and care. Sam Ash used to be a musician haven to come in and try stuff out and make some purchases.
This is the first time I have been in years and it will be years before I ever go back. I am heartbroken and so very disappointed.
i recently purchase a presonus audio box for 220.00$ and the sales man said i would receive a gift card in mail in two weeks .never came was in the store for other things and ask about the card 2 months later the rep.nick issued me another .it had a june 30 i purchase some string on july 8 thinking they might honor the card they did not and i paid full price for the strings.it a little thing but those little thing never leave your mind.
18. Mystical Bazaar
Address: 3058 W State Rte 89A, Sedona, AZ 86336 , Big Park , Arizona , United States
Gabby was super chill gave a great aura photo reading 10/10
Very Pricey
Cool aura photo and report. Presentation of report not that great. I was expecting a real photo print but it was just on plain printer paper
Looks like a great place to buy the mystical stuff
I wish I could take stars away from them. I’m extremely disappointed of this place. My best friend and I traveled up from Phx just to go to this place for a reading. With all the positive reviews we surely thought this place was going to be great.. After telling her that my GF passed away a few months prior, For a whole hour, I was being told that it has taken a toll on me and that I need to move on from it. She then asked me if there was something else I wanted to know, so I asked about the future. “They” told her that i have to focus on this first. It got so bad that I dosed off and was awakened by a twitch. Stones were overpriced as well. The only good thing that came from this trip was Picazzo’s Italian Food. Thank you
Picazzo.
High price points for jewelry that turned out to be made of dyed stones (the pigment rubs off on skin). Had a reading from a psychic here once before who was very obviously (and very poorly) cold reading. Huge selection of crystals and friendly staff.
Beautiful crystals but way overpriced. The energy in here was more about taking your money than healing.
19. The Music Store
Address: 2630 W Baseline Rd, Mesa, AZ 85202 , Big Park , Arizona , United States
This music store provides excellent and quick service. Great instrument rental options.
This review is for The Guitar Service Center’s Brendan Dezember. His workshop is inside The Music Store. I have a classical guitar I use in my work that had a previous repair requiring cleats and the action was also too high due to a neck angle problem. Brendan determined a way short of repositioning the neck to make the action responsive and closed up and supported the crack that someone had previously repaired. Results: at a very reasonable cost my guitar sounds great, plays great-happy musician!
Friendly people. Sold me a great instrument
Fui una vez a ver las guitars
Great verify of sheet music and ukuleles and an awesome luthier.
The instruments we have rental have been pretty worn but still work well and it is an OK deal for the price. Customer service is helpful and friendly. We have been pleased with our violin rental over this past year and will continue renting here into the next school year.
I’m renting a clarinet and they gave it uncleaned (had old spit) and with broken parts. Horrible customer service. My tried fixing the first rental, but after a week, they just returned it without fixing anything.
“Jp” the owner looked right at me and said “no” to giving me a 10% teacher discount for an $11 red label string. Thanks bud.
Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever had, 3 people working and not one of them tried to help me whatsoever and 2 of them didn’t even acknowledge I was in the store! Very poor service

It’s an AWESOME place alright!
But….
DEE is What you want
LOVE YOU DEE!!!!❤️ Shar
Spoke with the wonderful lady who was running this buisness years ago while visiting Sedona. What an amazing experience I will never forget. She knew I was a young traveler and shared her time and experience with Me, made me feel at home thousands of miles away from my home. I will never forget the funny/ great name of the store or my experience in it.. I hope to make it back someday..
Products were high end quality, and good prices when I was there..
Amazing! So much energy! Beautiful!
homestead Zombie homer
Nice shop with lots of cool stuff!!
Unique pipes!
We drove from cottonwood to come to this shop and the sign said it was open and the door had a lock and the lights off this is false advertising and if the store is closed cut the light off and change your hours on the sign and online!
Seemed like a decent but small head shop but when I asked asked if they carry nicotine vapes and the owner said “Nope, I care more about you than you do about yourself. I smoke cigarettes.” Cute! But none of my business or concern and she will receive neither. Not worth checking out the rest of the wares. Maybe they should figure it out so their shop doesnt pop up when one searches for a nic vape on google in Sedona. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
“Open till 6” it’s 517 and the door is locked and the “open” sign in bright neon colors is also on. Not even remotely worth it
