Had exactly what I needed. You have to call before you can go in, but that wasn’t much of a process.
Nice people
Great business. Locally owned and they will go out of their way to make you happy. They will also stand by their products.
I came in just to look around and while the employee there was very nice, he was also very patronizing. Overall enjoyed the store. It is relatively small but still very nice.
Nice service!!!
Great local business!
Staff is very knowledgeable.
Prices are very reasonable.
Large selection of instruments.
Staff really shows they care
I was not there , sorry .
I bought my first electric guitar from American Music 25 years ago. I bought my first synthesizer there. I’ve made all my major purchases there. Never again. Today, I went to pick up something for my work and left my phone on my desk. When I arrived, the door was locked with instructions to call for assistance. I look inside and see an old guy at the counter so I knock on the window and jingle the door (which has bells). As I’m trying to get his attention he ignores me and walks into a back room. Thankfully, a neighboring business called to ask for me to be let in. When she told him that I was trying to get in he told her, “I know. He needs to call.” She told him, ‘Well, he’s calling now. Can you let him in?’ I walk back over, the same old guy I saw lets me in, and I am so furious I show him what I need, I pay the $5.19, ask for my receipt, and leave. I will never spend another dime here so long as I live. I will never help American Music by referring another person to them since their employees can’t be bothered to answer the door for me. It’s a shame that our relationship of 25 years came to an end like this but I will not be disrespected just because I didn’t have a phone with me.
2. Venturi House of Music
Address: 1706 Howard Rd, Madera, CA 93637 , Biola , California , United States
I’ve been coming to this store since I was 12 (about 21 years ago) and they have a nice selection of accordions and accordion straps. They also have a huge selection of musical instruments – guitars, violins, drums, etc. – basically every instrument. They have multiple models, styles, sizes, and price ranges. I’ve gotten several accordions here over the years. They also carry Roland digital accordions. Very nice selection of sheet music, books, and other accessories. They also do instrument repairs. Nice to have a store that isn’t too far away from Fresno.
I have been a customer of Venturi for over 15 years. They have always provided me with excellent service and they are my go to place for accordion repairs and services.
As a musician, it can be frustrating when your dependable instrument goes south. Where to go for a fix? It is reassuring to know that we do have a local business with an extense reputation of being there when needed. Thank you Venturi House of Music.
Como musico, puede ser frustrante cuando tu confiable instrumento deja de funcionar. A donde ir para arreglarlo? Es tranquilizador saber que tenemos un negocio local con una extensa reputacion de estar alli cuando se necesite. Gracias Venturi House of Music.
I like the staff here, but the inside is cluttered and doesn’t seem all that organized. Not only that, but it’s also hard to tell if it’s open. You have to go up to the door to be able to see if it’s open.
Very nice people very helpful
Local busines takes care of there customers!!
Honestly, they are some of the rudest people I have ever met, on the phone and in person. Your best bet is to go to somewhere in Fresno where they have friendlier staff that don’t make rude comments towards you.
Talk to a man there was very rude when Jerry was alive he told me not to sell my great grandfather’s accordion now I called the man told me to put it in a yard sale made me cry I didn’t want to sell it but no choice
Horrible customer service.
Old guy very disrespectful and racist to say the lease. Don’t come here raza.
Also the pics are old and place looks outdated. Instruments are dusty and pricy. Nope I’ll take my business else where. Like he said in Spanish and English.
About time! Lol. The West side needed one so badly. Great prices and a little bit of everything. Though for produce and alcohol I shop local stores like Valley Food Super Center, Garcia’s Market, Kerman Carnitas and Estrella Market.
Its Walmart duh
Like they say, it’s our families ho.e away from lol. Good people, good prices.
Walmart is good to shopp but sometimes the services is poor some workers don’t welcome n don’t smile. Guess there having a bad day.
It’s a Walmart. It’s the nicest one in town. Traffic isn’t too bad in the shopping center. But…minus one star for being a Walmart.
Food has gotten to expensive not competitive anymore. As always they need to work on stocking and correct pricing . This is an ongoing problem for years. I carry my phone with me to check prices constantly.
Clean store but lines, I honestly try not to shop at walmart.. customer service isn’t great and take forever to assist you in areas where you need to buzz for them.
Horrible experience, if I could rate Walmart a zero, I would. My kids had to witness racism. Employee at self-check out, said no shopping carts were allowed in the self-check out and told me I needed to pay at the register. I was very comprehensive thinking it was something new that had just begun and then as I’m walking out, I see all kinds of people paying with there shopping carts. Employee at Walmart had no shame.
I waited 20 minutes to receive help in getting a razor from a case. Pressed button twice heard call on overhead twice still nothing. So finally walked away without razor. Not to mention their customer service is horrible. Sorry this was a horrible trip. Will stick to target
5. Guitar Center
Address: 5330 N Blackstone Ave, Fresno, CA 93710 , Biola , California , United States
I spoke to a sales person about Reverb and delay pedals and he taught me a lot about how to use them properly and made suggestions of what brands I should go for.
Atmosphere and staff are Amazing! I go after work till they close lol. Highly recommend it for any instruments(:
Good Job you guys
Oh I love it there this is where I buy all my equipment.
I purchased the Scarlett 2i2 studio bundle and they wouldn’t price match my wish app price even though just a few days earlier they told my wife if I could bring in my phone showing me able to check out with that price then they would honor it and when I went back they said that they don’t honor third-party sellers only verified sellers. So I ended up spending $70 more dollars than I wanted to but it was the same price as on Amazon.
A typical music store, some good deals if you are aware of the specials, musicians always needs more pics and cables.
I have searched items on their website many times and when I get to the store the item isn’t in stock. This has happened many times at this location. They need someone who is solely on stock and manage it right. It’s their lazy.
Always had terrible service, they have sold meh beat up floor models when I paid for new, & it seems like they are becoming more unfriendly everytime I come in… just grabbed some picks and jammed this time. It’s getting old and we don’t need this shop if that’s how they are going to treat us!!!!!
Not friendly at all and felt as if they wanted you to leave them alone and not ask questions. We felt judged just because my husband was in a wheelchair and thought we had no money to buy. We went with the intent to buy since we buy there all the time. It’s time to change their employees
6. Patrick’s Music School & Store
Address: 769 E Barstow Ave, Fresno, CA 93710 , Biola , California , United States
If you need quality instruments, this music store is the place to be. Great stuffs you can find here!
I did violin lessons here. Everyone that worked there was very nice.
Great staff greeted me once I came in the door.
Patrick the owner is a great guy. He knows the various schools and school districts in the Fresno area and he knows how to size your child up with the right instrument for the school district they are in.
they don’t answer the phone
7. Mystic Music
Address: 1822 Van Ness Ave, Fresno, CA 93721 , Biola , California , United States
MM is the old school shop with built in funk. Take a 6 pack of beer and be ready to do some jamming.
Neat place
They were very nice. I would have appreciated knowing the specialist tuning gjutars wasn’t there before the long bus drive with the guitar. He’ll be there Saturday.
8. Moravia Wines & Event Venue
Address: 3620 N Bishop Ave, Fresno, CA 93723 , Biola , California , United States
Awesome food, entertainment, and of course the wine.
Beautiful place to have a wedding with a great staff also!
My boys and I go to Moravia atleast 2 weekends a month!! It’s just a blast. My boys are 4 and 2. They love the SS Moravia ship, sand and the whole playground area!! June starts family fun nights which my kids and I are looking forward to! Rich, Wendi and their staff are very welcoming Get ready for a fun time when coming out to Moravia
I’m not too much of a fan of their wines, because I prefer reds and their tasting menu is heavy on the whites. But I really like all the precautions they’ve taken for COVID. They are being extra respectful and have made fun flights so you can meander through your tasting on your own. I do wish there was more information on the flight menu about the wines so you could learn about them as you tried them. I also wish the flights came in real glasses. The “shot” glasses that were used made it hard so swirl and smell the wine. The grounds are beautiful and there is plenty of shade. If you like whites, go check them out. If you prefer reds, maybe skip this one.
Great white wines! Symphony is so yummy! Great snack boards too!
I dont drink but my wife and mother in-law sure enjoyed them selfs. They both got a bottle of wine and were looking forward to coming back in June for live music on Fridays
Went here for company holiday party the wine was pretty good but the food that was served was cold and did not taste very good I would recommend for this coming out to use a catering party again other than that the wine was good the seating arrangements were really nice had to place really well decorated only thing that I can say about it was the food that was served with cold
Hard to find. No visible signage from Shaw Avenue. Went to a wedding reception in early September and it was hot. I can’t drink wine for health reasons and had to settle for water as a refreshment.
I attended a wedding here on July 7th. The venue is just beautiful among the vineyards. The only space for a wedding is in the direct sun, and it was 102° that day. Pretty much from the first of May to the first of October you are going to cook in the sun. Too bad, it is really a lovely space.
