We found some amazing deal on some cute house knick knacks! Customer service was super also, we will be back to shop again.
Nice Clean place. Friendly folks for sure!
Very clean, good merchandise
Gooď well stocked thrift shop
I ues to go here quite a lot. Lately not so much. For whatever reason they have raised their prices quite a bit on many items. Not long ago I went with my sister and we found a children’s book I would have loved to have bought for her granddaughter. It was like new and still had original price on it of $5.99. They wanted $6 .What a joke!
There are lots of women’s clothing there, but
much fewer men’s clothing there.
More like the garbage left in a dead cat lady’s house than a thrift store? Smells like it too. Yacked after seeing what looked like dried barf on a pair of jeans. Hard pass.
I used to love love love this place until they started upping their prices so much because they research the original price online and then price it. that’s not right, they get that stuff for free and honestly i probably won’t be going in there much to never which breaks my heart but most of their stuff isn’t worth to buy when it’s very close to the orginal store price.
3. McDonald’s
Address: 418 E Main St, Mt Sterling, IL 62353 , Brown County , Illinois , United States
Staff were EXTREMELY friendly and order was accurate and fresh but none too speedy, Restaurant needs a bit of an update but other than that I’ll be returning!
Fries were given to us cold. I paid for 4 sweet n sours didn’t recurve them the first time I rolled through and then when I didn’t see it I had to drive back around and come get it. Get your act together please you are playing with customer money that puts money in your pockets.
Place is really going down hill.
It’s ok
Don’t get expectations, they will not be met!
Not sure where the malfunction is when they are putting orders together, but they have never got mine right. Today, they gave my son a toy from two years ago and apple slices when I was expecting GoGurt. It wasn’t that big of deal but they also put my order of nuggets in a cheese fries box. It was weird, as if they were “cleaning house” and trying to get rid of things. I think I should get a discount since they gave me old stuff.
Food was horrible, service was just as bad. Don’t recommend. ( Run )
4. Ridge View Winery
Address: 529 County Rd 200 N, Mt Sterling, IL 62353 , Brown County , Illinois , United States
It is a beautiful place. The view was so breathtaking. Wine was superb. Visited with the owners. They are very nice people. We will be back.
Great wine and gorgeous views. The owner was really nice and informative, even giving us tips for where to eat when we got to our destination in Hannibal. We’d definitely come back if we’re out this way again.
Now s word from the bartender about that wedding four yrs ago. The only “hitting on” was telling the maid of honor the history of the color of black in weddings. Which is black was a common color for wedding dresses until queen Victoria wore a white dress to her wedding .
Pretty ADA accommodated however not fully. Parking is terrible. Roads full of large pot holes. Do not drink and drive at night dangerous we counted 20+ deer running in front of car on way home. Turn left when the leaving or its a terrible windy gravel road to nowhere
Wine taste good and staff is friendly. Live band Sunday afternoons.
Wedding/Reception Review: Recently held a wedding and reception here for under 100 people this past Saturday. Beautiful place but there was a number of speed bumps throughout the weekend. Our Keg was frozen most of the night, and told we only ordered 1 where we ordered 2. Chair setup was horrible, barely enough chairs for all our guests and in un uniformed chairs. (Told they had plenty of seating) One of the Owners was cooking in the kitchen as our reception was going on, getting in the way of our caterers so she could cook herself food while still eating ours later. Rediculous. Their male bar tender was overly hitting on our guests all night. We were asked to move wedding games after we’d setup and “rented” the place for the weekend because they “have non wedding guests/customers all the way up until wedding time” which was not disclosed with us, and not ok. Not enough parking. They had customers stay for our entire reception in a corner because they don’t have a policy to keep only the guests that were invited in the building. Unprofessional owners. Wouldn’t recommend a wedding here if you like privacy, uniformity, and professionalism.
Have been calling and sending emails to them since December to try to set up an event. There’s been no answer and no answering machine. Now me emails come back as undeliverable. Web site indicates that they are open today but still no answer on phone after letting it ring 20-30 times until their phone disconnected. Good luck. Wondering if they closed up.
Drove over 30 mins today after checking the website to make sure this Winery was opened, we get there, walk half way up the steps only to find out from a man in the parking lot, with his trunk opened, that they were in fact closed until the 13 of February! Not a good way to run and establishment people. Not to sure we will be coming back.
5. Don’s Music Land
Address: 7717 N University St STE A, Peoria, IL 61614 , Brown County , Illinois , United States
We called in search of a cleaning kit for my son’s instrument. They were more then helpful on the phone holding the last kit they had in stock for us until we got there from out of town. They were very courteous and help when we arrived and made our experience quick and easy. It was worth our drive. Thank you so much!
Great teachers
Great space!
Very friendly staff. Nice selection of organs and guitars.
Really nice stage space for recitals.
Gd selection
6. Halpin Music Company
Address: 139 S Locust St, Centralia, IL 62801 , Brown County , Illinois , United States
The best place to go for anything music related. They have an amazing staff and can pretty much fix anything. You will leave with your equipment repaired and looking and running brand new. Also great for accessories as well.
Neil, the gentleman that runs this store is top of the line, I’ve been to music stores where they act like they don’t want you to touch anything and some of this I understand, but I enjoyed the time I spent there and the prices were right, I will buy my next guitar from Neil
Great service!!
Average music store
The website says its open till 5 on Saturday not 3
Good prices
I had to have my horn sent to Alton because this tech in Centralia is discriminatory against people with disabilities. Had to drive two and a half hours 200 plus miles and no discount for a simple repair I will never use them again thinking about taking legal action.
Good stuff just could be better with details and price
7. The Piano Network of Illinois/Springfield IL
Address: 3700 Wabash Ave, Springfield, IL 62711 , Brown County , Illinois , United States
Huge selection. Knowledgable and helpful staff. Thanks guys!
I know I’m biased, but with FOUR locations in IL, this IS the place to find a piano, keyboard, organ, accessories, etc for EVERY player at every level from beginner to professional, or even if you just love music! Btw, ask for me & make an appointment…
This place have become a favorite of mine! I purchased my first acoustic guitar, guitar lessons with adam, and vocal lessons with michael. I am extremely happy so far over the last 6 weeks. Great people, honest advice, reasonable prices, and expert direction. You can’t go wrong starting here!
visually, the shop is awesome. Frank and Conner are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. top quality tech work, reasonable prices on new and used instruments. they put a guitar I had been searching for for 10+ years in my hands less than 10 days after letting them know about it so yeah, Aurora aims to please 🙂
11. HELP
Address: 220 E Adams St, Rushville, IL 62681 , Brown County , Illinois , United States
Great quality guitars and pianos with fair prices, and amazing employees!
This is the best music store in the tri-country area. Randee himself is easy to work with and a great owner, and Tim and Isaac, the guitar-side techs, are both knowledgeable and immeasurably friendly. It’s a lovely walk-in-and-play store with a clean, polished storefront and the best selection of acoustic guitars for a hundred miles. I can’t recommend it enough or say enough good things.
Great place for all of your guitar needs!
Well, I purchased a Gibson guitar on line from Randee’s. It came somewhat damaged, but it had to to do with Gibson. The nut on the guitar was bad.
Here is the catch, this was bad from the get go, so the either did not inspect the guitar, or just past the problem to me.
I had to pay 2 in shipping to get the repair. I am waiting to see how good the repair will be.
Yet, to be satisfied.
Very knowledgeable and helpful.
Randees has great pianos, however they hire cheap labor to deliver those great pianos! and drag their feet when it’s time to pay the worker!
Extremely rude, I called with just a question and got my call sent to two different people the latter that was rude and was just ushering me off the phone by saying he was busy. Good luck ever getting my business!
The prices are OUTRAGEOUS, their shipping is a joke, and everything is damaged. I’ve seen the EXACT SAME PRODUCTS at Guitar Center for about 2000 dollars CHEAPER! I will never be going to this place again. Guitar Centers service might suck, but at least you get QUALITY!
