Awesome place. Super friendly and great service. Won’t get my haircut anywhere else.
Tried this place out for the first time, and Elijah was great! Did a good job on my hair, as well as on trimming my beard. Great conversationalist, made me feel right at home. Definitely planning on coming back!
Couldn’t be happier she does an amazing job.

3. Music Go Round
Address: 8055 W Bowles Ave #2C, Littleton, CO 80123 , Byers , Colorado , United States
I stopped by with my 12 year old daughter looking for a bass guitar. The staff was friendly, attentive, made sure we had space and time to play a number of instruments, and checked in with us just enough to make sure we were okay. For a music store, it was a really comfortable experience. They had a really nice selection of used instruments and gear in decent shape. Now I have to convince my kid we can only buy one bass instead of the four that she liked.
I’m an old-school bassist and a lefty, and worked at a music shop for years when I wasn’t gigging. I felt right at home at this place.
Great staff and fast service. I had a couple of technical questions and their answers were direct, and knowledgeable
Its usually great. Had a terrible staff that I hadn’t seen before last time I went. I won’t go back.
I had high hopes but just wasn’t impressed. Compared to the Aurora location, this store falls short.
The guitar area was decent with everything displayed nicely but the biggest disappointment was the amps. All the amps we’re covered in dust and we’re absolutely filthy compared to any other store I’ve been to. NONE of the amps were plugged into the power strips so you had to ask for all the cords and power cables just to try anything. That made trying to really test the sound of any guitar a nightmare.
The acoustic room was decent but everything good was locked up so one really couldn’t try much without assistance.
The keyboard section was ok but they definitely needed to be cleaned and at least plugged in for one to try.
The glass cases displaying pedals, audio interfaces, microphones and other accessories was good and decently organized.
All in all, it’s an ok store, but some serious attention needs to be paid to the presentation of all items, ESPECIALLY the guitar amps. All items need to be thoroughly cleaned and then put out on the floor with proper presentation with included power cables so every piece can be tested by the customer. No one wants to have to ask for all the missing pieces just to try something out.
UPDATE:
Store owner Jason followed up on his promise to resolve the situation. I stopped by the other day and Jason refunded the purchase in full and made this right. The receipt doesn’t mention needing to have original packaging for returns as Dan originally said, so the return should have been accepted within the 10 days we first returned but because store owner Jason did make this right in the end I am therefore changing my rating from one star to four stars.
Bought a sax mouthpiece for the saxophonist performing for an event I hosted. The mouthpiece was defective and she was unable to perform meaning the trio could not perform either. We took the mouthpiece back the next day and manager Jason would not accept return of the defective mouthpiece even with the receipt in hand claiming it there was nothing wrong even though the saxophonist is a top performer in the area. We would expect better from a nationwide chain.
What a scam. Very unfriendly staff, no customer service skills at all
Every time I buy gear here something is wrong with it. Just paid $60.00 for a set of Gibson Deluxe tuners. Installed them and two of the cover fell off. Someone had cut the tabs off all the covers. Really tired of the lack of attention to the functionality of the gear they sell. Will not buy here again!
I contacted the store online before buying the product online to make sure the store could deliver it within my timeframe. They assured me they would.
Now it’s the eve of their 2nd missed shipping opportunity and I won’t receive the gear in time. I had to purchase the item new and pay for overnight shipping to make sure I got it in time.
Between the purchase and now, the store had gone radio silent, despite my sending an additional email requesting information.
The upshot is that I purchased the gear through a reputable online dealer and will have my gear by Wednesday (today is Monday), rather than whenever the staff of this store decided to get around to it.
Btw… “Sorry dude” doesn’t cut it. Hope the store manager processes my refund with a greater sense of urgency and professionalism.
4. Wild Acoustic Music Co.
Address: 28225 CO-74, Evergreen, CO 80439 , Byers , Colorado , United States
Haven’t been in a while because I live so far away, but I have never found another music store on par with this one. Hopefully once I graduate and start making that career moneh I can come back and visit and maybe get another awesome acoustic guitar.
What a great find! Found this exploring beautiful Evergreen and was so impressed by the unique and beautiful instruments. Loved the inlaid wood guitars, hand crafted wood picks and unique Ocarina. Great prices and Ed was so helpful showing me around and answering all my questions.
5. Flipside Music
Address: 2231 S Platte River Dr, Denver, CO 80223 , Byers , Colorado , United States
Took my two acoustic guitars into Flipside for some TLC. Dylan helped me out. He is friendly and very knowledgeable. I am pleased with the service and both my guitars are looking and playing pretty spiffy. Good to have shops like this in Denver. Thanks Flipside!
Best service in this category
Pretty good store with decent prices
First Visit. Nice small shop, great pedal selection and some nice guitar brands (Reverend, G&L among others). Really friendly folks.
Overly expensive and also lots of homeless people hanging outside on the street near by. It’s a dump.
6. Music & Arts
Address: 7350 W 88th Ave Suite B, Westminster, CO 80021 , Byers , Colorado , United States
Music&Arts are amazing they fix my son trumpet in just 2 minutes thank you very much..!
My granddaughter’s violin was given to ger for Christmas and was not put together. So when we took it to them to get strung she was great n tried but unfortunately the bridge was not the right one. But we appreciate the effort to try to make it work. Thanks again
These guys were great! My son joined band this year and we needed to get him a saxophone. I was frustrated from talking to other music stores. When I called I talked to Patrick on the phone, he was knowledgeable and polite. My son and I went into the store to purchase the saxophone we talked about. I didn’t feel pressured to buy anything. When I asked about additional itemsI felt like everyone went out of there way to help get them and make recommendations. I wasn’t left to figure it out myself. They talked to my son and made him apart of the process. We will be going back in the future for our music needs.
Was able to buy a great violin
I am a music teacher. This is my go to for lesson books for my students.
Organized and clean nice staff they don’t buy instruments
This place is a total rip off. When we rented this at my son’s old school, we asked if we could return it and get a different instrument next year if he changes his mind. We were told YES. I’m here now needing to do an even EXCHANGE and because its not an ORCHESTRA instrument that is offered at his new school we can’t exchange it. So we LOST all the money we already put into it.. Nothing but LIARS at this place. Do yourself a favor and DON’T RENT FROM HERE. There are PLENTY of other places that will not lie to you just to get your money..
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE RENTAL PROGRAM if you think you’ll end up buying the instrument later. They lie about the details. I was told several times to keep renting in order to accrue funds to purchase a good instrument but found out after 3 years of renting that only 24 months worth of rental money goes towards buying a new instrument. You’re allowed to use more than 24 months worth to buy a used instrument but they jack the price of the used instrument up so you’re actually loosing money overall. They charged me over $900 for a used instrument (that I can buy on Craigslist for $400,) which cost $1100 new! I reached out to them to correct the issue and they didn’t even bother to reply back to me. DO NOT RENT!!!! Buy a used instrument and you can always turn around and sell it again if you/your child change your mind about playing.
UPDATE: about 6 months after I posted this review M&A finally got around to contacting me about the problem. The service rep I spoke with told me the serial number on our instrument indicated that we had purchased a saxophone. Except of course it was NOT a saxophone. But it might explain why they charged me an outrageous price. The rep had me email some information to customer service and she said I’d hear back from them. I did not hear anything from them for months so I finally called back. I was told they had closed the complaint as resolved.
Well 6 or so years ago my daughter got her violin from here and everything was fine. She stopped after two years. My youngest son has been playing at it for two and a half years, so we needed a larger violin. Now they want to sell him one. I have had that come up in the past but I always said who knows if the will keep going. Well today they bring out this thing of beauty. My son wants it. It’s only for sale. Oh and the one he brought home, he thought it was a viola we had to look it up. Badly out of tune.
Side bar we could buy it, but the kid never practices and isn’t good. My daughter was way better. Not to be a you know what.
Anyway I ask will you buy it back if he decides he wants to stop. They say no. So we keep renting. What the heck am I supposed to do with a violin once’s he is done? Nothing sells like it use to but really of it was that great why not buy it back. So all in all if this kids goes on to be some great violin guy, then I will buy him one. But a kid nope. I guess after six kids you know how way to many things work. So hey store buy them back sell them used.
7. Flesher Hinton Music
Address: 5890 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80212 , Byers , Colorado , United States
The repair techs are the best in the business and supplies are competitively priced.
I am a musician and have been involved with Flesher-Hinton for over 10 years. They always have a wonderful selection to meet my needs and the staff are very knowlegable. I highly recommend Flesher-Hinton for all your music needs!
The best place to get what you need. Service dept is tops and they are honest and fair with pricing and get the instrument back to you quickly. Even after several visits the quality and treatment is excellent. This is only shop that I will go to.
The people employees are professional, knowledgeable, and ready to help!
As with any store like this, you can expect them to be salesmen, though they don’t push too hard and don’t avoid helping you find the lowest priced items.
The technicians are great, but I wish they had a bit more enthusiasm.
If you are testing out brass instruments or such, the practice room they put me in had too much reverb to get accurate samples, even with a recording device. I have yet to ask if they had a more acoustically dry room.
They can order sheet music and products, and have all the basics and many accessories for band musicians.
Like always the services people were just great.
There’s parking at the new location. Really reasonably priced supplies. Not the best selection for buying instruments though. Since their relocation, seems they’re putting more emphasis on instrument repair. Still probably the best music supply shop in the area
Went in to check out acoustic guitars earlier today. Got an important call as I was about to tune a guitar I was checking out and the guy behind the counter just starts blowing into some sort of wind instrument seemingly deliberately because taking a quick phone call. So I hung up the guitar and just walked out.
But the guy who welcomed me when I walked in seemed nice.
Just terrible experience! Purchased a new wood clarinet 5 months ago. Found out it was cracking, unfortunately happens if not taken care of, but not in the first 5 months.
Took 2+ months to fix, when we finally picked it up, some old guy in the store started telling my 16 year old daughter about keeping it greased every six months- lecturing her because it was so dried out! Finally stepped in and told him…we bought it here less than 5 months ago…in other words, you sold an old dried out clarinet for $2000.00. Will never ever step foot in this store again d/t the service dept.
8. Graner School of Music
Address: 4460 Barnes Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80917 , Byers , Colorado , United States
My son is taking lessons there at the moment. His instructor is excellent and the guys in the store are super helpful and friendly.
This is great place to buy instruments or accessories. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially that guy Dean that works at the guitar counter. He answered all my questions and was very professional. Come here for all your music needs!
Every time I shop here I get music tips for free that help me become a better musician. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. It is easy to rent and instrument and they have high quality instruments. I would recommend this place to any musician. It
Great service, very helpful!
Great place for kids to get musical lessons, voice lessons and books and instruments. They also do repairs here
Very helpful. Explained all contracts well, good with kids, instructors onsite. Staff helpful.
Did not repair what they said they were going to repair. I trusted them and only realized when my kid went to play it. If they make it right I will update my review. This is absolutely horrible. I can’t believe they would do this to a local school teacher.
Rental beware! I started a rent to own process about 2015 payed on the instrument for about 4 years and thought so myself hmmm how much is a viola? And why have I payed about $1000 for this one? Their response was wow you definitely don’t owe us anymore money, you over paid, however we do not offer refunds! Wait what? If you do not pay attention they will just keep taking your money and not give it back. Two stars because at least they were nice about. So now I have an instrument that was way over priced.
Chelsea with Graner music is the most unprofessional and unreasonable person I have ever dealt with. I would highly encourage you to go with another company and not rent equipment through this one. The principal at my child’s school forewarned me about Graner and I wish I would have listened.
9. Monkton Guitars
Address: 1505 W 1st Ave A, Broomfield, CO 80020 , Byers , Colorado , United States
Awesome, best shop for new and experienced students ….David has a host of guitars for sales and an teachers for new students
Great selection and personalized service. I really enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend Monkton Guitars!
I found Monkton while searching for a Nash Telecaster locally. I emailed the shop to let them know what I was after. The owner was kind enough to email me photos of the guitar before I drove out the next day. I picked it up, strummed it twice, and knew I was taking it home. Easy.
The shop is clean, organized, and fully stocked with guitars of all levels and prices. The staff was polite and helpful and made sure I had a quick and easy experience shopping with them. While it’s a little further out than I’d normally like to go, I’ll definitely be coming up with reasons to drive to Broomfield to shop with them.
Thanks again for the killer deal! I’ll be back soon!
Best shop around!
great place to try and buy, they know their stuff and are super nice and willing to help you find what you’re looking for. they have great recommendations and will let you play whatever for however long. very cheap for repairs and guitar work, much cheaper than other places. got my frets leveled/crowned and it sounds fantastic, however they did kind of gauge/scratch the neck on several frets. sucks, but not a huge deal as it’s not a high end guitar and the price was right ($60). again, sounds great but i would be weary of bringing a higher end model in as they weren’t very careful about taping off the neck to avoid cosmetic damage.
do not take your guitars here for repair! simple jobs will end up being 2 hours in labor charges. they will take your working guitar and send you home with a non-working guitar. they will mix up the wiring on the pots. they will give you pots too large so your knobs have a huge gap underneath. unbelievably unprofessional and incapable.
EDIT: The business response is not a fair respresentation. First guitar, volume pots wired backwards. Second guitar, repair only lasted the car ride home. Second fix only lasted the next car ride home. Third fix, incorrect tone mapping and too large of pots. Every single trip a problem. Why would I go back?
10. Los 3 Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant
Address: 486 US-36, Byers, CO 80103 , Byers , Colorado , United States
This place is easily one of the best Mexican restaurants in the entire Denver area and we ain’t exactly close to Denver out here. Great menu, tons of choices and the best part is they have so many authentic dishes you could try something new for like 30 visits. They have Molcajete!! That is something you don’t see very often. Food is fantastic, service was great, cool menus and big tables for large parties is another nice touch. I definitely recommend coming here if you have the chance.
Excellent place it’s our favorite place to go
AWESOMENESS.
We enjoy the food here. The stuffed chili relleno is pretty spectacular and the Mexican hamburger is really good too. My wife likes the house margarita.
Every time I’ve been here there is drink problem (Out of something or just never shows up after being ordered). Also the service is hit or miss.
The server that we had was acceptional she was kind and very helpful. Made sure we had everything we needed.
Food was fantastic, very well made, and large portions.
Would highly recommend to anyone in the area!!
Place was full of flies
Recently experienced sitting down and waiting an hour and 45 minutes for our food to come to the table. You might think the manager would have finally stepped in. Maybe he could have come to our table and offered anything (conversation, explanation, apology, effort etc). He could have been a manager and supported his staff, but we saw none of that. And when I went to talk to him, he blew up and was the one who seemed to be offended. We will not be returning.
It is interesting that there are no responses to the low star ratings. Hmmmm
The service is fine, food is okay. However the fruit flys are bad. Super bad. I don’t even wanna go there anymore until it’s fixed. Thankfully another place is opening soon.
It took over an hour to get our food. People who showed up after us ate and left before we got our food. I think they forgot to put our order in. The staff was friendly, though.
11. Affordable Music
Address: 104 Village Pl, Dillon, CO 80435 , Byers , Colorado , United States
Very nice place. Super grate prices and very polite.
Gary is the man. The shop has a killer selection.
Affordable Music has amazing service. I has an amazing selection of music as well as instruments. All of the locals are so nice and so is the owner. They also have two dogs that are so sweet. Anybody that goes there will love it.
Great store, lots of music, plenty of stringed instruments.
Limited selection, average prices
Surprisingly good 45 selection.
A shambles. Nothing affordable. Maybe okay for guitars, but not music. Looks like a yard sale gone bad. Used vinyl is poor quality, C- vinyl and covers disorganized and twice the price of Denver. Boxes of unsorted records strewn about. New stuff is full list price. Not worth the effort of stopping. Waste of time
Owner is a racist. He harassed my friend for shopping while black , four times AFTER he bought a CD. We went outside and had to show the police his recite.
Great place to shop if you are worried someone is impersonating you. Don’t shop there if you are black, he might call the cops.
Terrible customer service. Was out of town for a wedding – asked about return policy and he went on a rant about him being a small business and how he would only give store credit. He was very condescending and unprofessional
12. Music Go Round Colorado Springs
Address: 410 W Fillmore St, Colorado Springs, CO 80907 , Byers , Colorado , United States
Still the best music store in town! Great gear and staff and the owner’s pretty cool too. Want a sweet amp? They got it! How about a rippin guitar or bass? Yep,got that too! Keyboards, recording gear and a ton of pedals to choose from. If that cash is burning a hole in your pocket then go no further! And bring something to trade, they’re always looking for decent gear.
I only got a couple of inexpensive items, but they took the time to check it over. Nice selection of gear. Fair prices, not giveaway prices
Great store, great values, great staff. I bought a sweet DBZ Imperial there today. They were extremely friendly and helpful, and willing to let you browse to your heart’s content. Outstanding experience!
Decent gear, and prices, friendly staff.
Don’t go to guitar center.
Friendly staff, variety in used guitar gear
Staff seems ok
I brought these guys a tube amp to sell to them and the kid checking to see if it works obviously doesn’t know to use music gear. He turned it on and played on it for a few minutes and it worked fine, then he proceeded to hit the power and standby knobs down at the same time and completely broke my amp. Then They offered me $60 for a $700 amp. I refused and when I got home I found that my amp no longer worked and when I called them to tell them the issue the owner refused to admit it was their fault and declined any kind of reimbursement
This place is a bunch of thieves they prayed on my wife not knowing anything about the special edition bc rich warbeast with the cream finish she brought in that had never even had the case open and only have her 200 for it after works I called multiple other vendors to see if they had just used her inexperience to steal from her and the consensus was that they should have ok the low end paid her 600 these people are scum that prey of those with not alot of knowledge in musical instrument and should be utterly ashamed!
