Amazing service!
I’ve had Brinkley’s service my bass, two electric guitars and one acoustic guitar and every single time the work is affordable and fast.
Absolutely incredible place to get repairs or just get a tune up.
We had a great experience at Brindley’s! They were very helpful and patient with my many questions, and no pressure sales! Found just what we were looking for at a better price than anticipated.
Brindleys is an amazing shop, staffed and run by great people. It is my go to for guitar setups, repairs, strings, picks, parts, etc.
This place is cool. Ppl are nice. IN THE HOOD IM LIKE PRINCESS DIANNA!!!

Good music store for those looking for something specific…not much to look at for those who want to look around or window shop (especially for drum equip). Other than that, it’s a good local music shop. They used to make their own brand of drumsticks, which were GREAT, but last time I went they said they no longer make them. Bummer!
They are wonderful people and always take care of their customer by heart.
Called to inquire about an instrument. Owner laughed at my question and was extremely rude. He didn’t answer my questions, and refused to give any useful information.
My son wanted to buy from a local shop. He spent $400 of his own money on a used guitar, new amp and cord. The cord tip broke off in the amp input 3 weeks after purchase ruining the cord and amp. My son attempted to get a replacement with his receipt in hand and was told he would need to pay for the repair of the amp. When I called and spoke to the owner Bruce I encountered an arrogant and condescending man with little to no concern for the customer. Instead he proceeded to blame my son for the faulty cord and infer that the damage was caused by something he did. Mind you he has played on entry level equipment for years and never had a single issue. We also had an independent professional agree that the cord was faulty and caused the damage to the amp input. Regardless Bruce repeatedly told me something was fishy, that 2 plus 2 told him something else happened, that he had been in business for 43 years and I didn’t know anything and took the Lords name in vain time after time during our conversation. When I told him it was unfortunate that he wouldn’t correct the issue he told me I would be blackmailing him if a bad review was left. Sorry Bruce but their were no threats made, only a customer wanting others not to have their hard earned money thrown away. Be a professional. Based on some of the other reviews I have looked at it appears we are not the first, second or even third customers treated this way. When he continued to argue and obsess that he would dispute a review and it was apparent nothing else mattered I hung up. No amount of logic would change this mans mind. Fortunately we know the truth and he can convince himself otherwise all he wants. Their are plenty of local shops lile Milanos and corporate shops like Guitar Center who appreciate the business and know the value of a loyal customer!
After more then 10 months taking lessons a the place, and incident where the owner Bruce, disrespected my 11 year old for just looking at around the store just show what kind of service this place have. Extremely disappointed with Bruce, going back there no more. I’m sure there are other places with better costumer service.
My guitar teacher was the best, so sad situation here.
2. The Music Store
Address: 2630 W Baseline Rd, Mesa, AZ 85202 , Canyon Day , Arizona , United States
Their guitar repair guy (Brandon I think his name was) is just brilliant with guitars. Gave me a spare part I needed for free because he had one lying around and gave me some next level expert advice on dry-climate guitar care and neck adjustment. This place is fantastic – thanks again!
A friend of mine recommended Brendan (in-house luthier) for some bridge work I wanted to have done on my mandolin. He understood exactly what I was trying to achieve and delivered quickly and affordably. My mando has never sounded better and I will be bringing all of my instruments here when they need work from now on!
This music store provides excellent and quick service. Great instrument rental options.
Great verify of sheet music and ukuleles and an awesome luthier.
The instruments we have rental have been pretty worn but still work well and it is an OK deal for the price. Customer service is helpful and friendly. We have been pleased with our violin rental over this past year and will continue renting here into the next school year.
Fui una vez a ver las guitars
Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever had, 3 people working and not one of them tried to help me whatsoever and 2 of them didn’t even acknowledge I was in the store! Very poor service
“Jp” the owner looked right at me and said “no” to giving me a 10% teacher discount for an $11 red label string. Thanks bud.
They have nothing for the drummer! Maybe some sheet music? But nothing more!
3. De-No Music Center
Address: 801 E Florence Blvd # B, Casa Grande, AZ 85122 , Canyon Day , Arizona , United States
Great friendly people. Good at knowing all the questions I asked. I bought my daughter a trombone this last summer. Told me everything I need to know, at an affordable price.
Being new to the area it was nice to find a local music shop that offers full services (repairs, setups,& custom work). I would much rather support a local privately owned business than go to the bigger chains (that will remain nameless). Mike and the crew at De-No Music didn’t disappoint and I gave them a doozy of a repair, but they stepped up to the challenge and fixed my amp, now it sounds better than ever. Big thank you goes to Mike and the rest of your team at De-No Music, I appreciate the hard work, y’all did a heck of a job. Have a great holiday.
Helpfully and easy going
Works in a pinch but lacking in customer service.
It’s small music store with not much in there and some of the staff treats you like you dont know anything.
Went to buy a guitar but no assistance from the clerk was offered and large sign indicated you can’t touch them without assistance so we left. Makes it difficult to make a purchase. To be fair the clerk was waiting on another customer but just continued to ignore us and didn’t even bother to say “hello” when we entered the store. Not much available there in the way of instruments unless you need used amps, guitar stands, cheap guitars, or ukuleles.
Came in for guitar picks and strings and was thinking of buying an acoustic guitar on the wall. I asked if I could play it he said “yes”. I played a couple chords and got kicked out for playing it to “hard”.
I’ve been there quite a few times before. As a child the owner was alright but somehow he just became rude after a while. There was a time when I was 19(9 years ago) and there was an 800 dollar Jackson on the wall that I really wanted. I brought $850 dollars with me and jammed out on it for about 5 minutes, the owner came up to me and said “If you put one scratch on this I’m going to make you pay for it, do you understand?” I know I look young and I looked about 15 at the time but there have been several times(like yesterday{let me play for 4 minutes and told my party to leave when I wanted to buy a practice amp}) that I brought money in to make a purchase of over 300 dollars and he makes me uncomfortable or says something rude. If you need a reed, or if you need a rental, this is a good place. If you’re a musician, and you want to try stuff out, drive 40 minutes, the owner has been rude to me for 15 years. I swear he hates musicians.
4. Sam Ash Music Stores
Address: 4402 W Cactus Rd, Glendale, AZ 85304 , Canyon Day , Arizona , United States
Courteous staff answered the phone and understood what instrument I wanted to purchase as a birthday gift. I arrived to be greeted at the door and accompanied by a knowledgeable staff member. We chose a Ukulele and necessary items for it which were all in stock. Sam Ash will remain our music store for future sales. People work for People and I appreciate being treated as such, not as a number when I needed their products.
Always a good and easy experience working with the guys in the drum department
Family owned company, everyone is helpful.
The staff actually know about the gear they’re selling, unlike the competition!!
Friendly people and lots of music stuff. They need more sales people, tho. I was going to spend serious money on an amp and possibly more on accessories, but i couldn’t get any help, so i went down the road to their competition. I’ll let you know how the competition did. I’m about to go inside. Wish me luck…
The store got very busy while I was shopping for an amp but I was given a great guitar and access to the amps on the floor. When I was ready to buy the staff was quick to get the deal done and I was happily on my way. I had lots of time to try the gear and was very comfortable with my choice (which was not the amp I thought I wanted).
Don’t hate it hate guitar center
Nobody working there asked if I needed help and if you like high, over priced items, this is the place for you! However, there was a ton of electric guitars.
Went to Sam Ash to buy a $1600 used guitar. Couldn’t even try it out because of beginner guitarists cranking Nirvana almost as loud as the amps would go. No one at Samash asked them to turn down. This continued for well over an hour.
5. Milano Music
Address: 38 W Main St, Mesa, AZ 85201 , Canyon Day , Arizona , United States
Had a awesome visit at milanos music, brought back a lot of middle school memories in band 18 yrs ago!
As always Fred helped me out with all my guitar needs.
Always a great experience. Employees are always friendly and helpful. Prices are good. Happy to support downtown Mesa businesses!
Classic
We rent school instruments for our kids here. They are totally awesome. They also have a very extensive collection of instruments and music to purchase.
Very helpful and new where and what I needed
The pianos are poor quality here, and not worth the price. I was going to purchase a piano here, I was very pregnant and didn’t want to shop around, but was treated poorly when I asked some questions. Ended up spending a little more for a great quality piano elsewhere. Glad how it turned out.
Too expensive!
Where is my refund? I’ve been renting a violin for my student for the past 2 years. When the pandemic broke out students were not allowed back to school. The music teacher always encouraged the students to leave their instruments in class so they weren’t carrying them back and forth. When school shut down, they announced that any instruments left at school would be returned. Legacy partnered with milano when I rented the instrument. The school has been closed since march and I’ve been getting my account drawn. I’ve been told twice that they’d refund me for the last month, and still havent seen it. When I believe that I should be reimbursed for the last three months. This company has not been very undersranding how financially difficult times are right now.
6. Guitar Center
Address: 8538 S Emerald Dr, Tempe, AZ 85284 , Canyon Day , Arizona , United States
After my last experience at the Tempe store, I’ll drive past another Guitar Center to get to this one because the service at the Tempe store is AMAZING! At this store, you’re greeted with a smile and the sales associates will happily answer your questions (unlike another location where I felt like I was bothering the associate just to get their attention, much less get a question answered about a product I wanted to purchase).
End result, I would highly recommend the Tempe location!! I ordered a new bass here and had it shipped to the store so I could look it over before taking it home. They had their guitar tech look over it as well before I left the store with the new bass.
Great bunch of folks at this location and again, I will drive past another location just to get to this one where I get excellent service, even when they are busy. The associates here may not be immediately available for you but you are certainly not forgotten and the associates even remind you that they’ll be right back to get to your question or assist you with whatever you need as soon as they finish up with their current customer. I greatly appreciate their attention to detail as well as their very friendly attitude at the Tempe location!!
Keep up the great work and I’ll definitely be back to your store!!
Found it to be a great experience… Got in .. Asked for some help. Got what I wanted.. Got out.
I needed new strings for my guitar & I needed someone to put them on for me. That s exactly what I received in a timely manner from the tech guy that works there for a reasonable fee.
Had mail order . No call came in 5 day i ran a tracking to find out it was there.10 days ago
Needed strings and accessories, great customer service but they were out of what I needed. Usually doesn’t happen but overall great place to stock up!
Repair shop can’t fix a simple switch! (Not really a repair shop)
Good selection, but the employees don’t seem to care at all about the customer.
Don’t buy an acoustic guitar from here. I tried playing 7 different guitars and all of them had dead notes somewhere on the fret board. While this can be fixed with just a simple truss rod adjustment, most new guitarists don’t know how to set up their guitar and this store doesn’t have a luthier on site.
The inventory is small and has a lot of empty space. Here and Amazon are the only few places you can pick up Elixir strings, but if you’re picking up an instrument try to find it second hand somewhere else
Not very helpful staff. Was shopping for a baby grand. They told me to order one online without trying due to better stock, and if I didn’t like it I could return it. They weigh several hundred pounds! Wanted to try before I buy, but they only had 1 on display. And I would have to pay return shipping if I didn’t like it. Guitar Center claims they price match, but it isn’t true. I got a lot of runaround about it, so simply bought from a competitor and saved a few hundred bucks. For pianos, at least, I don’t recommend.
Hannah was a pleasure to work with! She was so helpful with selecting an oboe for my daughter. Being able to try out 4 different instruments before purchasing was a huge benefit. The whole process from start to finish was wonderful. She answered all of our questions and did an evaluation over Facetime for us since we didn’t have anyone here to help with that. But that’s not all, she also made some inquiries and helped us find a local teacher for lessons. Give her a call, you won’t regret it!
Hannah made the process of selling my english horn easy and pain free. I would highly recommend her services.
I am not a fan of computerized “chatlines” and other impersonal methods of so called “communicating”, but the experience I have enjoyed with Hannah in buying my oboe was more in line with the good way business used to be done. Easy to get answers, very knowledgeable…and refreshingly, not a robot! I am left with the feeling of making a good purchase from an honest business!
8. Music & Arts
Address: 891 E Baseline Rd Suite 101, Gilbert, AZ 85233 , Canyon Day , Arizona , United States
Very nice experience here. Everyone was friendly and very helpful.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Bought my first acoustic guitar from this store. The employee there, Eric, was a really awesome and accommodating dude. Very knowledgeable about guitars and willing to help me out with my 1000s of questions. He told me about what accessories would be good to buy as a beginner and was just a great guy. 5/5 experience great worker and great store.
This place is a great place. They are helping navigate being the mom of an orchestra student and it’s a task! They are so nice about helping me figure out what book I need to get him and what size chin rest he needs. They’re super nice.
It’s a good shop with kind staff and great teachers. But it’s missing some TLC. Cello bow options are limited and there’s this huge tent inside that is just in the way
Definitely not as friendly or helpful as the Power location.
Difficult!!!
While the in-store staff are friendly and you shouldn’t have high expectations because this is generally a company designed for beginner instruments for young children, I was less than impressed across the board.
The “brand new” trumpet we rented had to be repaired within just a few weeks and it was replaced with another “brand new” product. That is just the beginning of the issue.
I knew my card was set to expire and it had been compromised so I replaced it. When I tried to go in store to change the card on file, just as I had done to set it up, I was told I’d have to call customer service directly. I got a letter a short time later asking me to provide all of my card information on the piece of paper and mail it back to the company. Due to security issues and having just had my card compromised I opted not to go down that path. I even attempted to reach out to the company through email and got no response. I later got an automated message from the company closer to the due date and it told me to call a customer service line. I went online and located the number and called the customer service. It was clearly an out of the country representative who assured me multiple times that the only way to provide the card information was to give it to her verbally and she promised it would be secure. I asked about an online account set up so it could be done electronically and was told this was not a feature of the company at this time.
I understand this is a smaller company designed for equipment rental but if I can set up a rental in store with my card I don’t understand why I can’t update it there. Additionally there didn’t seem to be a lot of consideration for security of financial information as the only option is to do it over the phone verbally. This is not a bad company and the staff in store tend to be nice but it’s not a quality instrument, the instrument itself is overpriced if you want to buy out and they don’t seem to consider the security implications for financial records. Accordingly at the end of this rental year / school year we are likely moving to a different company.
Stood in front of store for 1 hour on Thursday no one there to open. Needed repairs and supplies had to go else where. New management can’t be like this if you expect to keep customers. Music and arts also just opened another “experimental” store dedicated to string instruments. That’s fine, fix your current stores before setting up new ones.
Horrible customer service! Teacher for piano was unreliable. We live so close to this place so we are disappointed
9. Boogie Music
Address: 3562 W Cactus Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85029 , Canyon Day , Arizona , United States
This place is Awsome, its not huge! but has a little of everything! and amazing prices and great Customer Service Knowledgable proffesional and Very helpful. Real Glad i Came across this place and they have a soundprooof jam room and separate rooms for different accessories. was verty pleased and recomend this place to anyone who is looking for quality service and price on what they are looking for
Came in with a guitar I wanted to sell. The manager was very helpful. Sold what I had and took home a new Taylor. Couldn’t be happier.
I have been working with Boogie Music/Drum Alley for 6 years now. They have tremendous support for musicians and educators in the Valley who have reasonable expectations of prices and services. They have in many cases gone out of their way to help me get the job done for my program. They will special order anything you ask for. Their rental instruments are in good repair and tend to be better then I can afford to provide students when compared to school instruments. Their luthier (string repair technician) completely rebuilt one of my orchestra basses to better than it’s previous playing condition. I highly recommend this shop for anyone.
They will not sell you small pieces for bass instruments (i.e. springs, valve corks, or other small parts) instead they insist on bringing the instrument to their repair shop (not really expensive to do either) but if you are a person like me who needs their instrument on the daily it would be more time efficient to just buy the piece and fix it my self.
They are very helpful and answer my questions about learning how to play the guitar.
I have been renting a flute from Boogie music for my daughter for 3 years now. DON’T believe the 100% return on all rental fees towards purchase of a new instrument! There are loopholes for them. Not 100% of the fee you pay a month is the rental fee, roughly 2/3 is. They also only will give you this credit if you are purchasing a higher end instrument. I will have to rent a flute from them for 8 years to pay for the 1000 dollar flute they will give me the credit on. They have a much cheaper flute on their websight, but say it is not American made and that one will not count towards the credit.
While they do have repair facilities and will fix anything broken, they have not done any maintenance or cleaning on this flute in 3 years and when asked if they would, I was told bring it in and they will check it out, but no maintenance is needed.
This flute has been fine for her in grade school, but I will need to pay for it almost all the way through high school to get the trade in they will do. Just be careful make sure your child wants to play an instrument forever before getting into the contract if you want to be able to get any trade in credit.
Was treated very rudely by the owner. Went there to try to sell them a guitar and he looked at my guitar and very rudely in my opinion said he wasn’t interested at all then I continue to look around the store for a little bit with some friends. I saw a stand up bass which I wanted to play in the Jazz way there was no sign or anything mentioning that this was not theirs and that this was someone’s that was there for repair. I started to play on it after moving it from where it was and the owner came back and said something to the effect of that’s not ours man that’s here for repair or something else similar. He did not at all say excuse me but that’s not our instrument can you please put it back in like a nice calm manner he said it in a way that I took very rudely and that you’ve been my friends which was 3 agreed was very rude. On top of that I feel like although the store is kind of cool because it does have some older vintage instruments from the early 20th century I just personally think that I Won’t Go Back unless that is my only option. Not everyone probably gets rude customer service but I definitely did.
IDIOTS
I am appalled by the awful customer service provided by the very owner of this establishment. I felt discriminated against and disrespected. Though I entered with a cheerful attitude and a desire to rent an instrument, the owner was rude, condescending, and did not seem interested in doing business with us. As an educated woman and a musician of many years, I could not fathom why an owner of a small business, who understands the significance of connecting with the community, would engage with customers in this fashion. We remained calm and intended to proceed with the transaction. Unfortunately, the owner continued to present obstacles, leading us to finally leave empty handed. Thus, I do not recommend this music store to anyone in the area.
10. Ziggie’s Music
Address: 3309 N 3rd St Ac, Phoenix, AZ 85012 , Canyon Day , Arizona , United States
Had my Fender P-Bass set up there and the result was outstanding. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the lessons there are great.
If you like music, and have the opportunity to visit Ziggie’s, I hope you` visit. If you’re lucky, you may show up when others are having an impromptu jam session, or possibly other patrons and staff are just chatting or joking around. This is such a warm and welcoming place to be. I used to stop by when, I still lived in Arizona, after work, all the time and continued to do this as did many other people, for decades! It was so much fun just to look at all of the instruments and chat with the staff and teachers. They are all so very nice and informative! Dionne Hauke, the owner, is a wonderful person that is one of the kindest and most intelligent people I’ve ever met! Very “down to earth” people, all of them. This is a place where many people would just stop in and leave their children for lessons and come back to pick them up later, or many of the parents would hang out and chat too. There are “swap meets” on the first Saturday of each month where there are usually refreshments and fun too… The pricing is normal, and in many cases modest. Dionne will buy or trade instruments too. Chuck Hauke, does all the electronic repairs of amps and such, where Dionne repairs the accordions. There are other repair staff too, for any sort of necessary repair, but I don’t know them all. John has been a major part of Ziggie’s for at least 20 years that I know of… He and Dionne are a great team and he is also very kind. Megan Hauke is now the 4th generation to be working in the store. I know many of the teachers, and there are YouTube videos that are made from time to time too, that people post from the store of jam sessions, etc. Dionne is very easy to work with, and versatile as far as if you need something for a gig, or if you need a repair quickly, they will bend over backward to help you where I can’t say this of any other store there. I now live in Nashville, and can’t say I have ever come across another store like this one. That’s probably why it has been part of the Phoenix landscape since the 1920’s when Ziggie opened the store… These people genuinely care! Check them out.
Place is amazing. A small little shop that has houses tremdous surprises. You can find vintage equipement to latest marvels. Friendly atmosphere and local family feel. Need repaired or purchasing an instrument or just a set of strings. Everything I found there was in great descent shape. A variety of Instruments from accordians to brass to strings instruments of all sizes. Plus nice sortment of great name brands and nice selection of amps as well. I noticed that the instruments were all tuned and not looking all pawed by tuns of people. The person behind the counter I believe was the owner. She gave me a nice discount and a great story. I can share lil. Every first Saturday each month THEY hold a community event were locals and anyone out of town can participate in the Vintage swap and trade meet. Right there out on the side walk and the street next to them.
Amongst the other little story she shared.
Great nice little place to go. Enjoy.
The perfectly imperfect music store with a hometown feel.
Very helpful the information what’s good
Store hours say 10 til 6 M thru S but they don’t follow them…..went by at 230 and no one showed up…..zero stars if I could
literally 30 minutes b4 it was supposed to close me my mom and friend were trying to get in it was closed and we were looking in it was dirty that didn’t bother me it was just the fact there were no employees there 30 before close hours meaning it wasn’t we had just missed it meaning they had closed before hand
Was looking for a decent music store but this is not it. The place is dirty, and only carries used gear. The selection was very disappointing. Look elsewhere
11. John’s Corner Music Shop
Address: 8680 AZ-69, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314 , Canyon Day , Arizona , United States
First time visiting and shopping there today. This place was exactly what I was hoping to find.
Such a laid back atmosphere with years of knowledge instead of just pushy kids who don’t know squat. This is a place where you walk into exactly what any good musician would want…old pros sitting around swapping stories and picking out tunes.
Their selection covers EVERYTHING with pricing that is down to earth and beyond fair.
My new home!
John’s has a large selection of guitars and other string instruments. There are also some brass instruments. We got a great deal on a trumpet. Great customer service!
If I could rate 10/10 I would. John’s a sweet man and treats you like family. I always leave there with something new. No other music shop is the same, great guys working there and great prices too. Love everyone there.
wouldn’t give it even one star! I just went in to grab some guitar strings and was never once acknowledged the whole time I was there. Not even a greeting. needless to say I walked out. Not sure what the deal is in this town but I have yet to encounter any sort of professionalism with the businesses here!!!
Low quality gear that is way over priced.
12. B&D Guitar Repair
Address: 2202 W Lone Cactus Dr #4, Phoenix, AZ 85027 , Canyon Day , Arizona , United States
Billy and Lowell are the best combo in the Valley.
Stop in and meet with them once – ask questions and receive HONEST ANSWERS from men that are at the top of their game in guitar and amp mods / repairs. You will never use anyone else .
I am Navajo Indian and I live on the Navajo reservation and work with Native students who play guitar and want to learn the guitar. I have been working with B & D Guitar Repair for several years now and the quality of the work done is outstanding and excellent. The atmosphere in the shop is positive(almost heavenly) and Billy is down to earth in his disposition and his work. He is friendly and he will tell you exactly what is wrong with the guitar and what would be the best path for you and that guitar. He often asks the question, “Where do you want to go with this and what do you want to do with the guitar?” He tries to tailor-make his responses and his repair work to the person he’s talking to, and tries to get to know you a bit before giving you any real advice for you as a guitar player and for the guitar you are using. B & D has been honest in guitar evaluations, repairs, and price, and that’s why I drive the many miles to North Phoenix for all my guitar repairs. I highly recommend him….!!!!!
My experience was less than stellar. A vintage pickup mysteriously stopped working while in his care. I forgave it. Then, one guitar was given back filthy even though I specifically asked him to clean it as part of the service. Spare parts strewn in the case. And he was late. I was in a hurry when I picked up my stuff and didn’t realize most of this until I got home. I guess it’s just me he does this too. I try to frequent local small businesses, but why bother. You can’t count on anyone nowadays.
Person was rude on the phone. I was trying to explain how a guitar’ bridge was causing me problems.
Then he tells me “not to take my frustrations out on him” when i was simply attempting to explain the situation.
He seems arrogant and condescending
Nice posters, but where are all the tools???? Instead of wasting your money on bogus YELP adds, spend it on tools.
13. Atomic Guitar Works
Address: 8550 N 91st Ave, Peoria, AZ 85345 , Canyon Day , Arizona , United States
This business is amazing with excellent customer service. They’ve set up many of my axes. One was fretting out after about a month. I took it in and they adjusted it on the spot with no charge. WOW! Right? It’s really nice to find places that are just the bees knees with excellent customer service. I highly recommend AGW.
After getting a ridiculous runaround from another shop in town, I took my Hummingbird to Atomic. They had it back to playing great in one day at a low price, and were very friendly and knowledgeable to boot. Won’t take my guitars anywhere else! Best shop in town.
Got me setup in no time. Definitely recommend
A great place to get a custom made guitar
Small but impressive guitar shop. Nice selection of after market parts and strings.
You have been warned. They talked like they knew the product very well to build trust. They overpromised and underdelivered when I got my guitar back and still wanted to make excuses???, the work I asked for was clearly stated in the receipt.
I took a mid-level Martin to them with a crack. They humidified it to where the crack closed. They told me it was repaired but to be sure and keep it humidified. The fact is they humidified and the crack closed they didn’t do the repair but they charged me for it.
The guy who answered the phone was a jerk. I took my guitar to someone else.
Just got off the phone with one the associates here. Arrogant and unhelpful.
14. Guitar Center
Address: 2750 W Peoria Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85029 , Canyon Day , Arizona , United States
Huge place and great selection! Probably one of the best I’ve been to in quite awhile. This is including the Scottsdale location.
I wasnt there actually. I visited Party city and didnt find it to be void of much selection. Candy by the bulk was hard as a rock. I miss the old Party City
Lots of choices. Organized shop. Top prices
Great staff and products. Everyone was willing to help find anything you needed with great recommendations.
I frequent Guitar Center but I was rushed and the gentlemen ended up getting me the wrong cables because he was trying to leave for the day. So I went on a road trip without what I needed. Customer Service was pretty poor but product selection is always great. If you know what you need…no worries. If you are looking for knowledge…make sure they arent about to get off or go on break.
Paid for fast shipping and it didn’t happen. Not spending a penny with guitar center ever again.
As a many year customer, Guitar Center is my go to place for all instrument, music and audio needs. All their prime brand products are great, sometimes their lower tier brands are really good, and they stand by their guarantee and warranties and provide services to help you stay loyal customer. Customer service sometimes is lower than expected, mostly on the audio technician side. Just recently I went in and had a not so pleasant experience with an employee, that seemed like he didn’t even want to be there, let alone help me. He gave the typical “Can I help you sir?” but in a not so willing way, more in a “I have to because it’s my job” kind of way. I do understand we all have our days, but this wasn’t a single case. Just a couple days later I went back in and purchased another product I needed and forgot my Gear Card. Usually they can look up my card and account with no issue when this happens, but for some reason he was not having it. At first, he didn’t want to look it up saying, “Really man? For $15 you want to do this” (I think this is very rude, your the employee and I am the customer, this is a rude way of addressing the situation), when I insisted he began to look it up but was having “problems” looking up. Eventually I gave him all the appropriate info and was out of there. Sadly, there are few stores close to me so this is my go to place, but if I had to chose, I would go to another store.
As a former Guitar Center employee for the Seattle Washington regional flagship store, I can say this is the least well kept store I have been in to. Off the bat, all of the employees seemed too busy to be bothered to greet me in any fashion when walking into the store, the gear selection available on the floor was Less than desired, and the overall maintenance of the store seems as though it has been neglected. The stock selection seems as tho it is from 2 years ago and is more aimed at the EXTREME novice who would not know the wiser about guitars in general. Most of the guitars on the wall were either non playable ( being either broken, not playable due to terrible setup, or various other reasons). The amplifier selection was also sorely lacking. There was never a cord to be found, even if I did want to try a guitar and there were also no picks available around the amps to be able to play.
I feel that this location needs to have a management overhaul to address the current issues with the store.
