We stopped in this adorable, neatly decorated store! The shop owner was so nice and welcoming. We talked with her for a good while. I loved all her home decor, touristy items and much more. Stop by when in town and visit her little shop! Highly reccomend!
Cute quaint. Great prices and customer service
Very nice quaint little store with something for everyone in the family. Great prices, too! We spent quite a while taking with the owner who is super nice. Highly recommended!
4. Harry’s Bar
Address: 306 Marine St, Carrabelle, FL 32322 , Carrabelle , Florida , United States
Quaint open air with pizza, wings, burgers…food was really great and staff super friendly
Been there several times, have not had a bad meal yet.. I’m hooked on the Philly cheese steak
Pizza was so so. Bar food and local flavor. Kind of a dive but stays open late.
Food was terrible. Got loaded nachos, they were cold, and the cheese and chilli came right out of a can. Shrimp Po boy was pretty hard to eat, had no sauce on it. Kids wouldn’t eat their hamburgers either. Pretty large waste of 50 bucks. Steer clear.
Food was ok. Didn’t seem to be prepared fresh in the restaurant. They advertise a brownie but it ends up being prepackaged by Sara Lee. Was looking forward to homemade. They do allow dogs and the ladies behind the counter were great. They are in the middle of a remodel and were aging wood while we were eating which wasnot cool. Restrooms bar next door where it is full of smoke. Anyone uner 21 is not allowed which is quite an inconvenience when you have a 3 year old.
Waited 45 minutes for take away. Turned out it was done the whole time the guy just didn’t understand when I told him I was there to pick up my order I wanted my order
6. Mornin’ Bite
Address: 203 NW 6th St, Carrabelle, FL 32322 , Carrabelle , Florida , United States
Wonderful breakfast restaurant to have our Easter breakfast while staying at the Carrabelle Beach RV Resort! Everyone was so friendly, quick service, food was fantastic, and we enjoyed the atmosphere inside.
Had Buffalo Bleu Sliders and Bite Burger. Both came with a side, we had cole slaw. Food quality was excellent. Coffee was hot and tasty. Service very good. Prices reasonable. They have done a nice job with the decor. So nice to have this restaurant in town.
I was told that this restaurant had great food. That may have been an understatement. Went for lunch and had the pulled pork sliders. While I would give them a 7 of 10, my friend ordered shrimp and grits. Off the chart delicious!!! And, I have had many shrimp and grits. Great menu and a little different which is a refreshing change. Stop by for Breakfast or Lunch. You won’t be disappointed.
Parking: Plenty of parking at restaurant.
Friendly staff and a beautiful restaurant. We got only dessert, which was probably not worth going back for, unfortunately. I would like to try their other food however.
Awesome eggs benedict. Machiatto left a lot to be desired. Neat breakfast place but hit Starbucks for anything other than regular coffee.
Great customer service. Very clean. A little pricey, but the food is very good.
Besides the fact that we had to wait 1 hour for food, we were missing two items from the order after we had to get it boxed up. What we did receive was burnt toast, unseasoned scrambled eggs, and a hefty helping of disappointment. Bacon was 10/10 and the water was pretty good. Very nice and apologetic staff
Outrageously expensive for what you get. It was good BUT $12 for an omelet with toast or 1 biscuit. No potatoes, grits or any side item. This is not a resort town, not affordable for a working class community
We had a party of 6 (3 adults, 3 kids) we came in at 10:40am, we wanted breakfast but they stop serving at 11am, we didn’t get seated until well after that because of the wait, we got our food (lunch) at 12:35pm. I’m just about ready to least at 1pm. Over 2 hours to just eat lunch here, the servers were surprisingly nice, that’s about the only good thing they have going for them. They ran out of a lot of things, couldn’t get what I wanted, so me and my dad got the BLTA (bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado) My bread was as hard as a rock, it cut my mouth, I thought it was hoping to chip a tooth, my dad’s bread was the same. Our kids grilled cheese was okay, chicken was frozen strips, not made here. The fries were great. It is not the coolest place to eat. Overall, it’s not the best, if you’re in a hurry, do not come here..
7. Rio Carrabelle Gallery
Address: 102 St James Ave, Carrabelle, FL 32322 , Carrabelle , Florida , United States
On the same block as the “World’s Smallest Police Station,” the gallery is a collaboration of several local artists that display and sell their works, as well as paint there and teach classes, it’s very talented work and priced accordingly, maybe some day I’ll be half as good
A must go to in Carrabelle. Very friendly quaint place with only 60 seats available. In groups smaller than 4 you will be seated with 2 other people. This was one of the best things for us as we were seated with a couple that we now have new friends in the area. Great music tonight by Tom Mason and the Blue Buccaneers. It is BYOB so grab your favorite bottle and go enjoy. The shows do sell out so buy advanced tickets to be sure you get in.
Perfect acoustics, great art.
8. Rockulla Music Emporium
Address: 4395 Crawfordville Hwy, Crawfordville, FL 32327 , Carrabelle , Florida , United States
Kevin is an excellent piano teacher he really is very encouraging to his students. My son is always excited to go to his lesson and learn new things.
Kevin is knowledgeable and helpful and works great with both adults and kids. Whether it’s for instruments, supplies, advice or lessons, he is a great choice to do business with.
Bringing the experience of music to Wakulla County
Really good with children. Great fun.
Piece of trash.
9. The Old Carrabelle Hotel
Address: 201 Tallahassee St, Carrabelle, FL 32322 , Carrabelle , Florida , United States
This place is a GEM and the best part of Carrabelle… Owners have made this place so darling, cozy, and welcoming! Bed in the Hemingway room is quite comfortable, and the bathroom is lovely. My husband and I really enjoyed sitting in the Monkey Bar when we arrived yesterday, and out on the comfy chairs on the balcony last night. There is a very sweet and chatty tabby cat who welcomed us and hung out while we were on the back patio. If ever I come back through Carrabelle, this is absolutely where I want to stay!
We were able to book a room last minute for a quick relaxing weekend. Staying at this property delivered just what we needed. This was our first experience at a B&B and will definitely return to this location and recommend to friends and family.
I love staying at a place with history. Love the low ceiling on the porch. Old hardware on doors.. Transom wibdows. Love to imagine all the characters that have walked up these creaky stairs and shut the original wood doors. Clean. Great ambiance and decor.
Great quaint establishment!
Clean room and coffee in the morning. Problem there’s 18 steps to carry your luggage up.
Stayed without reservation in their Hemingway room. The coowner, Skip, is cordial and lighthearted as you arrange your stay. The establishment is small, the bathroom comprising likely half of the total of the room (quite spacious). The atmosphere of the room and the communal living spaces is adventurous and lively, with tribal masks, African artwork, and old photography from safaris past adorning the walls in the room. As you rest, mosquito netting enshrines the head of the bed. A chimpanzee Butler greets you at the door with a comfortable sitting room just to the left as you enter.
As for the stay, the hotel is not a picture of cleanliness. It’s not abhorrent by any means. There were some stray hairs in the linens from past tenants, and a layer of dust laid over much of the furniture and fell from the ceiling fans, which we wound up turning off.
As far as hotels go, you can easily do far worse. They would do well from more rigorous cleaning, but the experience is worth the price.
SCAM ! When we arrived, no one was here, I called by number on my reservation, some lady came and said that they don’t have 2 beds, as we booked. They had only one and offered to sleep 3 people in one bed. She said if we don’t like that option, there is Franklin inn nearby. Of course, we did not stay in one bed and moved to a different hotel as the lady advised. But my card was charged by Old Carabelle Hotel for 250$.
P.s.: by the way, everything was shabby and very dusty,
These are the pros and cons…decide for yourself. We are staying in the Reggae room tonight. The thermostat in the hall regulates the whole top floor and it is set on 77; a note beside it says do not touch it. The ceiling fan in our room barely turns, and there is only one a/c duct in our room. The bed is very comfortable. A band playing down the street is very noisy. Fortunately, we have a floor fan than drowns it out; the fan is not helping cool down our very hot room. There is no breakfast served at this B&B hotel. We got vouchers for either a breakfast, lunch, or dinner at 3 different restaurants. Our room is larger than we had expected. The bathroom is also larger than implied in its description. A power strip by the bed has 2 cellphone charging ports which is very handy. The B&B is very accessible from US 98. The owners were not on site at anytime during our stay; they left us a letter of instructions in a box outside the front door. We left the key in the door when we left.
After checking the Old Carrabelle Hotel’s website for rates I called the hotel to make a reservation. I was quoted a price that was considerably higher than listed on the hotel’s website. When I questioned the owner he said “yes, we’ve been doing quite well”. So I guess their website is useless. Out of principle I figure if the owner is that dishonest I don’t want to stay at the place. I passed and booked my reservation at another hotel in Carrabelle.
10. Carrabelle History Museum
Address: 106 SE Ave B, Carrabelle, FL 32322 , Carrabelle , Florida , United States
We were vacationing and worried about a clunking sound from the suspension that developed from our long road trip. We took it in for an inspection and was told it could wait until we got home. Sure enough, we got home and the item was covered by warranty.
Everyone was extremely friendly and trustworthy! Our only regret is that we don’t live here and can’t use Neel as our regular service station. Highly recommend!!!
10/10 recommend them to anyone who asks. They have great customer service and the work is fantastic and you are in and out before you know it.
I can’t say enough good things about Neil Automotive. After a vibration started while pulling our travel trailer (we are full timers) I determined it was the truck. I made an appointment here, they quickly figured out the problem and ordered two replacement tires which arrived the next day and problem solved. Angel (in the office) and Wes (one of the techs, I didn’t get the other’s name) were all fantastic; friendly and professional. They know what they’re doing, so there should be no hesitation giving them your business.
I dunno how johnny neels skills are but he sure is fun with party favors at the timber island restaurant
Used them for hub work. They put a bad hub on, went out a month later, now 5 months later the same hub needs to be changed and they are wanting to charge labor to probably put another bad part! Everything was great until now. Definitely don’t recommend.
12. Crooked River Grill
Address: 151 Laughing Gull Ln, Carrabelle, FL 32322 , Carrabelle , Florida , United States
We stumbled across this restaurant quite by accident. Great food and service and a lovely setting with golf course views!
Great Food, Great atmosphere.
Had dinner and brunch here. After a minor hiccup which manager Jessica graciously took care of, we absolutely loved it. Food is fantastic and reasonably priced. Especially liked the brunch. Wide variety of foods. Kids loved the chocolate chip pancakes. I loved the shrimp and my wife loved the fried mushrooms. Highly recommend.
I ordered the seafood platter. It was blackened nicely, but we are on the coast, and their filet ended up being Swai, a catfish from Vietnam, and scallops were smaller than popcorn!! Beautifully decorated place, friendly staff.
Love. It.
Used to be best food in carrabelle area but they must have found it cheaper with another vender now no se egg rolls .taco salad cheap shells. Didn’t try anything else probably won’t. Will drive 20 extra miles 2 tropical trader.
Rude service, bland food, poor management. Never coming back.
The staff did the best they could with a surprise large party coming in, but nothing we ate was worth the almost 2 hours we ended up waiting. 🙁
I got a 5 par breakfast from there, mind you I have eaten there several times because I work next door. My eggs where not cooked properly and my toast had mold on it! I have pics to prove these aligations also! When I called the restaurant the manager hung up in my face after telling me that I was lieing! So I took the food back and got my money back and she told me I was not allowed back there to eat!
