I had a custom guitar built from the ground up. Dan worked with me on all the details from selecting several different wood species, to the custom inlays. I couldn’t be happier with it. It sounds amazing, and is a beautiful piece of art that I love playing!

Dan made a custom guitar for me that is beautiful. The craftsmanship is top notch and stays in tune. I play this guitar daily and perform live with it weekly. However, the best part is the sound. It is well balanced with clean high notes and a deep low notes. The sound comes out like a canon, just the way I like. Highly recommend getting a guitar from Dan.

We happened to be driving through and passed this little shop! We are always looking for records to add to the collection so we stopped in. SUCH A CUTE LITTLE SHOP!
Also the woman working behind the counter was amazing! She shared several places we should visit on our next trip to CO. What a gem!

It is so nice having a music store in woodland park, not having to go to the springs. I was restringing my guitar and broke a peg, went to Rock N Roll and they had it, What a life savor. Very friendly, nolegible and good prices too. Thanks Ron

I had a horrible experience at this store. The lady at the counter found 2 seconds to get off her phone to say hello and then proceeded to stay on her phone the remainder of the time I was in the store and ignored me as I greeted her and asked her how her day was going. The store had very little to look at but I did happen to find a guitar pedal that I’ve been searching for a while. When I asked if I could test it she seemed annoyed I made her take time away from her phone and she then asked in a rude tone am I going to buy one. I was confused at her tone and replied yes. She then proceeded to put on a fake smile but the damage was done. When she asked which one I told her I was no longer interested and left the store. This store needs to retrain there people on customer service.

You should consider shopping at big box corporate retailers instead of attempting to damage our small business that has an outstanding reputation within our community.

If this is misinformation then why did you not make it a point to defend yourself against any of the points I stated? You being a local mom and pop business does not make you immune to bad criticism when you give customers a bad experience. I’ve worked in retail for a number of years and try and go out of my way to support local business. This is extremely unprofessional to reply to complaints in this manner. Playing the victim after a negative interaction on your part is not becoming of you. I do wish your business the best of luck with all of your endeavors but I hope you can take this review with a grain of salt and do better with your customer service.

I love their answering message! They have have just about everything you would ever need for your music needs and a very nice selection of guitars. But be aware: They have nothing to do with the Moon or dogs.

This is a great little shop. The owner is cool and they carry some of my favorite brands of guitars.

My favorite music shop in town, Mike knows his guitars

Everyone says this place is always closed when they say that they will be open. Well unfortunately that is the reality I too have experienced. Multiple times I’ve tried to visit during posted operating hours but I can never seem to catch the store open. I’ll keep trying though maybe they need some extra help like a part time employee. We need local musical instrument stores or all there’s gonna be is guitar center.

I was sent here while on the hunt for a violin and was very excited to see everything from the window. It says its supposed to open at 11 but its 1120, windy, cold, and there is no sign of them opening. Unfortunately due to time constraints I will need to take my business to Guitar Center.

2nd time I’ve stopped by during advertised open hours and shop is closed. I mentioned this to a friend and he laughed… Apparently it’s pretty difficult to figure out their schedule even though it’s posted on their front window and on the internet. He told me that’s definitely their reputation around town. Maybe it’s an amazing shop. I keep trying to find out.

Not that great, I went in there with high expectations and came out disappointed. First, I got blatantly ignored, the person who worked there was talking to another person and didn’t acknowledge my existence, He didn’t say anything like ”I’ll be with you in one moment” NOTHING! I stood there awkwardly for about 10 minutes, finally the guy stopped catching up with the other customer and got to me quite UN- enthusiastically.

I have been going to Cari for guitar lessons for over two years and she took a novice with no experience playing any musical instrument to a person who can now enjoy playing guitar to some of my favorite songs. Her talent is not only in her own playing but as a great teacher. Her patience and class structure is perfect for beginners as well as experienced guitarists looking to get to the next level. What a delight!

Cari Dell has been teaching my son for a couple of years now and she has done a great job! I would recommend her as an instructor to anyone looking to learn the guitar.

Brought my classic guitar in last week for new strings. The owner took to the time to do it right. You can tell that they know their business and care about their customers.

If you build instruments in Springs area, this is the place to sell them. Support a local business.

I just moved to Colorado from California a few months ago, and I was looking around for a good music store to buy guitar strings, and other accessories. Anyway, I found this place. I went in for a simple restring set up for my acoustic guitar. The owner, Cordell was super chill, and easy going. We talked about music for a little bit while he did the set up on my guitar. He was very knowledgeable, and informative. Excellent customer service. I definitely recommend others to check this place out. You will recieve quality service. This place is great!

Dead business. No one answered the door, or phone during normal business hours. Would have liked to drop some $$$ on a local business, but I guess I’ll go to another major retailer.

It’s hard to find a good, honest, and used music store. These guys know what’s up.

Very knowledgeable and friendly

Prices can be a little wacky, but the staff is super nice and decently knowledgable. Keep in mind that Guitar Center price matches amazon before coming here. You might get a better deal and it will also be new equipment.
That being said I had a decent experience buying a mic stand for about 3 dollars less than what I would have paid online, and I’ll probably be back next time I want to buy non-electronic hardware.

BTW they do NOT sell cables. Save your time.

Bought a mpc for 200 a month ago, went to trade it in and they offered so little and said they would resell it for 150. So I got ripped off a month ago barely used the item . Used to be a awesome spot to trade old gear but I’ll just sell it myself and get more.. super disappointing will not buy here again. To think I recommended this place to so many fellow musicians

I called the store asked if they were taken in drum sets I load the car take it all the way down there take two pieces in the store and another guy says oh we’re not taking drum sets today how high can the employees be in the store this is wrong to have somebody go down there for no reason so my advice to you if you got something to sell don’t take it to them take it somewhere with employees still have brains in their head

Good store .. guy had exactly what I needed

Great little shop, but not a whole lot of in store instruments. Staff are friendly and helpful.

They don’t act in the best interest of the instrument or customer. I now have to have the same work redone at another shop.

Less than one star. Don’t waste your time. I went it to buy something, but they didn’t have in stock, but did have it at another local location. The person I spoke to assured me they would have it there by 11 30 the following morning for me.
So I go back at noon the following day and he clerk said “oh I saw it it the box I was supposed to bring, but something happened it’s not in there, I must have taken it out. Didn’t apologise for wasting my time. Did not make arrangements for someone to bring it right then. She then resumed talking to her friend on her cell. I will never shop there again.

Only weird thing was the long haired older fella working there kept trying to correct my brand pronunciations but was in fact pronouncing many names wrong. Not really a complaint just strange to me. keisel guitars isnt pronounced KYE-SULL sorry bro.

Over the course of the last few weeks I have spent 7 or so hours in pro sound, between multiple trips. I mainly deal with Luke and he is absolutely amazing, he will go out of his way to help, give demos, and teach you. I had ordered 2 items I needed for a show 10 days away.
Sadly Luke has not been there this week for me to work with and see the status of my order.
In the mean time I have been dealing with a guy by the name of Mark, and I have to say mark is the most useless person I have ever seen with a job. Every time I go into the store he is sitting around, not helping customers. I asked him to check the status of my orders, and he didn’t even look it up in the system, just walked around for 5 minutes and said it will be a few weeks. I was very clear when I ordered I needed my stuff no later then this week, he still didn’t look up the order and was just rude, like sucks to be you. I proceeded to call pro sound back a few hours later which mark answered the phone, I asked if luke was there, and he proceeded to hang up on me. I am only deducting 1 star atm in hopes that I can deal with someone of more intelligence then Mark and still receive my stuff for the show I am doing on time. However this review may drop stars pending on how the service is today

(Mind you i have spent over 400$ there in the last week) and this is the service I’m getting

Guitar tech sucks

I had a great shopping experience in this store about 23 years ago. That was the last one. It seems as if people just don’t like working there, but it’s what they’re comfortable doing.
To be honest, most music stores have that vibe. I loved working in them when I was younger, but also knew when it was time to move on

If you want to give away your money then go here. They can’t figure out our rental agreement to save there life. Bu the time they figured out how much longer we had on our rental we had the onstrument paid off and they kept charging us even after that. What a hastle.

Really nice little store with many price points for guitars and other instruments. Will was a huge help. He was polite,
friendly, knowledgeable. I will differently do my business here. Will took the time to answer my questions. If you need to rent an instrument for school or buy one this is your place. They also offer
music lessons and clinics. A+

My home away from home..

We have been going here for music lessons ever since they opened. Our experiences have always been positive and our children really love working with their instructors. The employees and instructors have always been friendly, helpful, and eager to make every visit a positive one. If you are looking for a place for musical instruction, regardless of age, this is the place to come!

Unknowledgeable in pricing. Was told deposit was required with 2 or more instruments, ok that’s fine. Have been in contact with the 888 number to make payments and what not. Call to make a payment today, one is in collections. They are under 2 separate accounts, so I have only been paying on one instrument. Ask the 800 number why I had a deposit for 2 or more instruments if they are separate accounts anyway. I was informed that deposit is just based on customer. According to reviews this location loves to lie. Very displeased with my experience with music and arts. I will most definitely be checking my other options out next year. This has been a nightmare.

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. I rented an instrument from them back in 2020 when schools locked down during the early days of Covid. I then returned the instrument in October of 2021. Everything seemed fine. A few months went by and I noticed I they started charging me monthly again, so I called them to dispute it. They said that they had no record of my returning the instrument. Since it had been MONTHS I couldn’t locate my return receipt. And that’s it. They’ve been charging me ever since. YEARS NOW. With seemingly no way to get them to stop. What a joke. They’re just like every other subscription company looking to swindle you.

My recent experience with Music and Arts was not very pleasent,they came to canon city to sell books and instruments to student and teachers in band across canon city, I walk in to where I was told along with the rest of the canon schools that they’d be ready at 5:30 when I went in they were not ready and we’re not polite when telling me that they weren’t ready they were also rude when we were confused at the price if the book because I was told it would be $5 just like last year, I hope you can understand why I am not happy.

Were I buy all my equipment!

Went in last week to get an amp, the lady was really helpful, went back in today to get help restringing my uke and it seemed like no one wanted or “could” help. They all said “it’s so easy” like I should know how to do it, but then said “idk how to string a uke, I play guitar” Pretty disappointed honestly I just wanted some pointers on restringing my uke and they made me feel stupid and unhelpful

Fast, friendly trade. I would have given them 5 stars, but I have bought two used products from them that I had to return, they weren’t in the condition advertised and I had to eat two different shipping charges for a total of over $50. other than that they have always been helpful and fair.
