Jessica has been truly a joy, so patient so much fun, very talented. Grateful for this program!!
Lessons in Your Home is awesome! I mean really, the teachers come to your house! It’s so nice to not have to drive to one more activity. Our teachers, Sami (viola) and Joey (voice) are fabulous! We have been with LIYH for many years now and we couldn’t be happier. Both teachers are fun, flexible, knowledgeable, talented and truly love working with my kids. The kids have learned so much from their teachers, which is wonderful, but the best part is the confidence that they have gained. Thank you!!
My 7 year old has been taking lessons with Micala for several weeks and is thriving. We love the convenience of the set up and Alana has been very easy to work with. My daughter’s teacher, Micala, is extremely professional, talented and really wonderful with my daughter. Highly recommend.

Address: 429 Wilcox St, Castle Rock, CO 80104 , Castle Pines North , Colorado , United States
People are nice and they have a small selection of interesting and unique instruments.
Great place for repair! I brought in my violin and guitar for a couple of minor fixes. They fixed it within a very reasonable time. I’ve bought a couple of adapters and cables. Very nice customer service. They made sure that I was satisfied with the service before I left. They called me or texted me to tell me that my instruments were ready. Overall, great service and great people!
Castle Rock Music is a great place for pickers, players and students. Both of my kids take lessons there and I’m very happy with what they’re learning. There was even a great parlor guitar that I had been playing while the kids were in lessons. Eventually, the owner decided it was as awesome as I thought it was and took it home. Luckily, the manager Dave was able to convince the owner that I really wanted it and I now have a new parlor Fathers Day guitar! Thanks for going above and beyond CRM.
It says castle rock band store but it’s more of a Guitar store there’s no other instruments.
Singing lessons for our daughter is wonderful. The process is good, prices are acceptable, and the venue is nice.
The shop itself is cute and quaint, but the selection is only very low end. Nothing of value at all. Not even cheap name brand equipment, but just low end non-name brand stuff. No biggie I guess, and I’m sure their selection is ideal for what they’re going for, but you would think at least one Fender or Les Paul would be in there. Haha! Nope. I’m speaking about guitar/bass/amp selection.
Overall, a good place and great for kids or first time people.
I don’t see why many people are giving this place bad reviews, as I have good experience with it. I take guitar lessons here and the mentors are nice. I do feel a tinge of hostility towards me from the front desk workers, but they do seem approachable. I’ve never gone through a repair before with them, but that’s because I’ve never broken a guitar. If it weren’t from the tiny bit of hostility from the workers I would’ve given this place a five, in my experience and work with them.
Skip this place. Was playing an ukulele and the guy working ran over saying “Ask me if you want to hold anything. That’s why it says it right there on the tag.” I didn’t see it since my sight isn’t great. I just put it back and looked around a little more. During that time he was certainly trying to upsell this girl on some junk because it was “limited edition!” It seems like he assumes everyone who comes in doesn’t know how to handle an instrument. I’d rather hit other local shops that don’t treat their customers like they’re five years old.
Went to pick up my boyfriend’s mandaline just now. I don’t appreciate being interrogated through petty attempts of guilt.
“I’m so surprised your nice in person, you left such a scathing review.”
I don’t like you guys. It took 6 months and 3 calls from me before I got any update on this instrument. “We tried to call” … ‘In the last month.’ was conveniently what you left off, and I’m annoyed at the audacity that you couldn’t take a review I didn’t even write and decided to confront me about it like I’m the misinformed idiot.
I wasn’t going to say anything, but maybe next time you’ll learn to shut your mouth and keep some business.
UPDATE: The cost of the repair was $10 and they gave the mandolin back to me in about a week and he did it for free because of my interaction at Castle Rock Music. Every expert I talked to had a suggestion. 3D print the piece for a temporary fix, find a junk mandoline and scavenge, or just give it to someone who knows what they’re doing, etc… Not a single person said the fix was too expensive or hard. And I didn’t get an awkward talking to when I went to pick it up. Amazing.
The selection of instruments is limited to a few obscure brands and all of the staff is passive aggressive and rude. I’ve been there three times and regret it every time. I’m done.
3. Ziggi’s Coffee
Address: 7298 Lagae Rd, Castle Pines, CO 80108 , Castle Pines North , Colorado , United States
Great crew fun atmosphere! Really good coffer. Hazelnut Cream iced was delicious!
Great little shop!
Always a perfect stop, especially today with the heat and smoke. Ziggy’s in Castle Pines. ♥️
Tried the mocha, nothing special. Really miss Dazbog being at this location, such a bummer they closed.
Very good. Enjoyed it immensely.
Variety! Friendliness!
9 dollars for a latte seems excessive. Most expensive coffee spot I’ve been to.
Customer service was great but the coffee is not. The coffee flavor its self was not a good flavor. I ordered an iced carmel macchiato and there was no trace of carmel flavoring.
This was some of the worst coffee I have ever had. Almost tasteless, mostly watered down with some milk. I think they forgot the Carmel.
The server at the window was great, thats the only reason they get 2 stars.
4. Colorado Institute of Musical Instrument Technology
Address: 651 Topeka Way # 100, Castle Rock, CO 80109 , Castle Pines North , Colorado , United States
They have been wonderful. My son was not sure what insturment he wanted to play in band. They walked him through the insturments he was most interested in and played them for him a well. When he narrowed his choices they gave him as short walk through of how to play get sound from the insturment and he tried to play his choice. Wonderful customer service Jennifer was fantastic! The rental prices seemed resonable and the rental agreement was simple and took little time.
Love this place! So knowledgeable and helpful. Quick repairs too!
Top notch! I’m so glad to have discovered this place. The guy who helped me really took his time to diagnose the issue and come up with a cost effective way to have our oboe fixed. Even though it was near closing time, I didn’t feel rushed and he was kind and fun to talk to. This is definitely going to become my go-to place for instrument issues even though it’s quite a drive out for us, worth it!
Educated teachers for all sorts of instruments.

Staff very helpful.
I took my flute in, not only did they not bash on the flute but they made the flute worse. Now I have to get about $1,000 worth of work on it done. They striped the corkscrew and did not put the pads back in alignment, so now it is harder to play.
Do not rent from this place! Returned the instrument 6 months ago, they are still charging my credit card. Worst customer service I have ever seen in the state of Colorado.
This place is awful. Purchased a flute from a Craigslist posting. Flute doesn’t fit my needs. Attempted to return flute in less than a day and they will not refund me my money.
They never said all sales final. Do not go here. They are shady. The guy Brad sold me the flute for cash to avoid taxes on it.
Be cautious. They may buy insufficient product to replace your expensive equipment.

Great local source for vinyl! Found what we were looking for (and more) and were able to order something extra!
Family owned business in Castle Rock for many, many years if you need to find some hard to find old vinyl LP’s music or Cd’s they can get it for you. They also have some great T shirts and rock posters and other stuff check them out.
This place is just the best!! The staff is very friendly and helpful, and everything is so reasonably priced. By far one of the very best shops castle rock has to offer!
Cute ma and pa vibes, a good selection of what you would hear on the radio, but nothing more “under grown” but does the job and full of nice kind people
Awesome local Vinyl, music and extras shop. Always has new stuff coming in, owners and staff are always very nice. Would definitely recommend stopping in if you have the chance!
Get all my music’s here. Great place.

Support your local, small business. This place has an excellent variety of drinks that will satisfy all tastes and preferences at every price point. Friendly service and easy to find just off I-25.
El cervicio mu bien
Friendly staff that will get to know you even on your first visit, just making every visit after that much more enjoyable. Legitimately feels like walking into a group of friends sometimes when they’re busy, instead of a cold store. Keep up the great work, guys.
I love the service every one really friendly.
great staff with good recommendations… nice selection
Way overpriced. We just moved to the area and checked a few items that we had recently purchased at winesellers. We walked out as the wine was $5 more and the other items $7-10 more. Crazy!
Not open until 10 on Sunday!
Very expensive place
8. Musically Dreaming Studio
Address: 12963 S Cory St, Parker, CO 80134 , Castle Pines North , Colorado , United States
As a drummer I find this place incredibly resourceful. I have an electric kit that I’m constantly buying accessories for and asking questions about and the workers here always point me in the right direction.
They truly go above and beyond.
Will always go here for my instrumental needs!
My kiddo goes here for music lessons, and the instructor (Kelly) is awesome. She is so patient and kind, and really knows her stuff! The perfect teacher for establishing a great foundation and love of playing instruments.
We happen to always be in the store the day that Andrew is working. He is so knowledgeable and professional. Andrew patiently answers the thousand questions my kiddo has every day about every musical instrument – keeping the passion for music alive! While I wait for my kid, I’ve also noticed Andrew is really great at taking time with customers who come in and on the phone. He is honest and very kind, and I’m impressed with his customer service. Great customer service is what you’ll find at Allegro, as well as what seems like a great selection of instruments. If they don’t have it they’re happy to walk through what can be ordered. I really appreciate this place – their instructors and staff are top notch.
Idk its neat and my teacher is cool
The staff was easily the best feature of the store. They were very friendly and supportive in helping me understand their products and services. Not only do they sell instruments but they offer lessons and practice rooms too. The selection of used electric pianos was limited and the prices of new instruments was higher than what I could pay shopping online, but with services like rent-to-own (great rates) and such knowledgeable staff I will be a return client.
Good selection of piano books for students and teachers as well as band and orchestra books. I was disappointed there wasn’t popular piano sheet music, but not surprised considering that it’s a small music store. Instruments are available to rent and they have some supplies there for guitars and such. They also have recorders for those 4th graders, which is why I went there!
I came for the guitar lessons. The staff was very polite. For a long time, they asked a teacher whom I even very briefly met. We agreed on the price, schedule and I left my phone number on which the teacher should contact me. No one contacted me. What is most surprising is that the manager sees that something is wrong, the student did not come to the planned very first lesson and does nothing. This place is probably so overloaded with work that they can choose individuals to be their students… Unfortunately, I can not recommend this place.
If there is an negative star I will definitely rate this shop. We rent two cellos for our kids for 9 months with their rent-to-own program, we had been told that we can use the rental equity purchase ANY music instruments. However, when we returned them the staff told us our equity should be used on those rental/used musical instrument, if we want to use them on something different, they will take 25% from our equity and they also sell us those musical instruments $100 more. I went to the store three times and every time I got different explanation on their policy. Can you imagine they sell an $500 used Yamaha student flute which costs only $200 on amazon? And an ukulele for $145? Come on! We paid about $900 rental just thought we can get something interesting for our kids when we return but it ends up we just got 2 cheap Yamaha junior guitars which Allegro charged $250 each (only costs $135 on amazon). Highly recommend those who plan to rent musical instruments from them to get an used one from Craigslist or Facebook marketplace.
Update 6/24/19
You are very welcome to post the policy I signed here, if there is any. If you told customer the equity can be used for “rent to own”, I don’t understand what is the issue when we really want to buy some instruments. The problem is you guys keep changing the words you say to your customer. You literally want to throw an used Yamaha 220 student flute to us for about $500, which the a brand new newer model costs only $480 on amazon, that’s a rip-off! And come on, we both know what quality your cello are, those just basic student cello which you can find the new one in amazon $250 each.
To those who want to rend musical instruments from Allegro, I suggest you do some research first on Facebook marketplace or Amazon, unless you do not care how much you paid. Their “rent-to-own” program will sell over-priced instruments to customers when they want to use the equity.
My son dropped his guitar off over two weeks ago to get fixed and they never even pulled it out of the bag to fix it. They lost the paper work and we’re worthless at customer service! My son had to find his own guitar in the mess and nothing had been done to it. Never getting our business again ( actually didn’t have to pay because they didn’t touch it) and I’ll tell everyone they are horrible.

Got my guitar here manager was super nice and understood what I wanted and helped me in every way she could
Nice people and 1000x quicker than guitar center
Have rented and bought many instruments here and always enjoyed it. Staff is very helpful and the renting program is greatly priced and has great benefits with the credit towards buying something.
Very limited options. Good for beginner or any starter . Cheaper instruments and cheap music stand. Not recommended for intermediate or professional needs :/
Good selection of musical gear, instruments, some sheet music, and other necessities. The rental prices are high – the markup on their instruments is, too- but overall it’s a good store with a friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Your one stop shop whether you want to buy or rent or repair musical instruments. They have friendly staff with reliable service and they do have branches at many places in Colorado
Purchased a viola starter pack at a school rental night. Was told it would be delivered to the school within a few days. It is now more than a month later and my kid never got the starter pack. To top it off the customer service line does not answer the phone. I sent an email to see if I could get it resolved and the same day I got a random $30 charge on my credit card. This has been a very frustrating experience and my daughter still has no viola pack!
I rented a trumpet for my daughter and as I was returning it, one of the workers said that I could get a hundred dollars credit for a different instrument. I told her that I would wait until my kids were out of school so they could pick which instrument they wanted. Last Thursday, I went in with my kids to return the trumpet and find a new instrument. I gave the trumpet to the man at the cashier, expecting him to complete the process with the credit opportunity. Without a word, he returned the trumpet without mentioning the credit opportunity. When I asked about it, he said “Sorry I already returned it. I can’t do anything about it.” This employee scammed me, and his response was a pathetic excuse of an apology. I am incredibly disappointed. If I could give zero stars, I would.
Very poor experience with lessons. Tried to cancel lessons because we were traveling for the holidays. We missed 3 of 4 lessons before they called and asked why we weren’t coming. We had originally planned on continuing our lessons, but after multiple refusals to work with us (saying “you signed the contract and there’s nothing we can do”) by staff and manager, that’s not going to happen. I wasn’t expecting much as they are technically correct – we did sign, but didn’t understand the auto renewal policy. They can do better, and should.

Absolutely the most friendly group of people you’ll ever meet! This place is like a second home to me and hopefully everyone who comes in! Such a good team!
Been a long time customer to this location. Never had any issues that could not be resolved. Great staff and service.
Went to buy a little gift for a friend and some bubble wrap for shipping an eBay item. Brock helped me find the bubble wrap in all of 10 seconds. Thanks man
Nice having a ups location in castle pines
Appreciate the effort this location is doing, this place used to be really hard for me with bad experiences but lately the customer service has been actually really nice!! Keep it up. Def has a better feeling coming in now.
Not a bad place, the people are friendly.
If I could rate it a negative that would still not due it justice. Jerry the clerk was extremely rude when I complained that I was being charged double the rate for the exact same item I just shipped 2 months ago for double the distance. He also stated he “got through” 75 years just fine with his attitude when I admonished him of his poor customer service. Ah ha, he did not state he was successful in life with that bad display of behavior. Go any place else, drive far out of your way than go to this store, unless you like crabby old men to provide poor service. Unfortunately the item was dropped off other wise I would have had it taken elsewhere. He conveniently would not wait on me while the person waited. Now I know why!
They charged me $25 to laminate 5 pieces of paper. I can buy a machine for that much on Amazon. This follows other reviews of this store price gouging customers
Very disappointed in the service from the ‘boss’ of this location today. I like to support small businesses, but this may be the first and last visit to this store. The gentleman who helped me, Mike, was amazing and patient. I wish I could say the same for the ‘boss’. I needed to return something with specific instructions. The system seemed to not be playing nice. Instead of exercising some kindness of her own, she told him to call support. After waiting over 30 minutes, she finally came by his station, rudely pointed out how to process the order and walked away. I’ve been in customer service for over 20 years and would NEVER treat an employee or customer this way. I really hope you own up to your behavior and apologize to Mike and treat your other employees with respect moving into the new year.

Ms. Lois Music Enrichment Program at HighPointe Christian Academy is amazing!!! Ms. Lois puts her heart and soul into providing a fun and learning environment for the children that is second to none.
I’ve improved so much since she became my teacher, she is definitely a talented musician and teacher! <33
I have taken from Lois for several years. Initially we had lessons in person and now I take from her online. I am an adult student who had never played the cello before starting my lessons with Lois. She is encouraging, knowledgeable, talented, and patient! She presents skill exercises to address problems, and suggests a variety of instruction books and performance pieces. I look forward to my lesson times with her.
Fernando, Debbie and Emmanuel provided excellent, personal customer service, not to mention products that seamlessly enhanced the audio/video capability of my home. Fernando came over for a visit in order to fully understand my requirements, then made recommendations to support them and was available for consultation and help after the installation. I’d highly recommend SmartLife because they understand their products, their market and provide the best customer service!
The Smart Life team has been exceptionally attentive to any of our needs. They have provided ongoing support as needed and explain high tech concepts in a way that low tech customers understand. Thank you Fernando and Deb!
The team at SmartLife surpassed our every expectation! From our first interview, we experienced such a comfort level and sense of professionalism from Deb and Fernando. The design process for our home automation system, including selected audio, video, lighting, and automated shades, was organized to cover every consideration. Their level of detail during field coordination, installation, and programming was incredible. We are enjoying our systems every single day; they really are the heartbeat of our home! Furthermore, we appreciated Fernando and Deb’s insight to strategize for future phases. We highly recommend Smartlife, for their kind and impeccable service, their exceptional products, and their continued prompt support with any questions along the way. They are a wonderful company!
