Best little NON big box Music Store
Has knowledgeable staff, not like grocery stocker at those big box places…they know who they are…
The first and the last requirement of a man can be fulfilled overwhelmingly in a place called Castle Rock near CO-Springs; U.S.A.
An amazing music shop with really high quality and affordable instruments and wonderful staff. I came in to buy some picks and found a wonderful travel guitar that is absolutely amazing. The staff there sat me down and let me play it and he was extremely helpful and friendly. Hands down the best experience I’ve had in a music shop. I’d highly recommend this place over the bigger places like guitar center, it is a beautiful shop with a wonderful atmosphere and well kept and cared for instruments. I will definitely be back next time I am in town and would recommend this place to anyone looking to purchase an instrument.
It says castle rock band store but it’s more of a Guitar store there’s no other instruments.
Singing lessons for our daughter is wonderful. The process is good, prices are acceptable, and the venue is nice.
The shop itself is cute and quaint, but the selection is only very low end. Nothing of value at all. Not even cheap name brand equipment, but just low end non-name brand stuff. No biggie I guess, and I’m sure their selection is ideal for what they’re going for, but you would think at least one Fender or Les Paul would be in there. Haha! Nope. I’m speaking about guitar/bass/amp selection.
Overall, a good place and great for kids or first time people.
I don’t see why many people are giving this place bad reviews, as I have good experience with it. I take guitar lessons here and the mentors are nice. I do feel a tinge of hostility towards me from the front desk workers, but they do seem approachable. I’ve never gone through a repair before with them, but that’s because I’ve never broken a guitar. If it weren’t from the tiny bit of hostility from the workers I would’ve given this place a five, in my experience and work with them.
Went to pick up my boyfriend’s mandaline just now. I don’t appreciate being interrogated through petty attempts of guilt.
“I’m so surprised your nice in person, you left such a scathing review.”
I don’t like you guys. It took 6 months and 3 calls from me before I got any update on this instrument. “We tried to call” … ‘In the last month.’ was conveniently what you left off, and I’m annoyed at the audacity that you couldn’t take a review I didn’t even write and decided to confront me about it like I’m the misinformed idiot.
I wasn’t going to say anything, but maybe next time you’ll learn to shut your mouth and keep some business.
UPDATE: The cost of the repair was $10 and they gave the mandolin back to me in about a week and he did it for free because of my interaction at Castle Rock Music. Every expert I talked to had a suggestion. 3D print the piece for a temporary fix, find a junk mandoline and scavenge, or just give it to someone who knows what they’re doing, etc… Not a single person said the fix was too expensive or hard. And I didn’t get an awkward talking to when I went to pick it up. Amazing.
Don’t waste your time and money. The people that work here are just high school kids who look like they’d rather be anywhere else. I recently bought guitar strings specifically for a classical guitar. I asked the kid for nylon strings and he handed me a pack assuring me that they were the only nylon strings they had. I had my reservations on his assertion as the kid could hardly utter more than a teenage grunt, but I went ahead and got them anyway.
Surprise, surprise, turns out they were all metal strings. When I called to see if I could exchange them someone answered the phone who sounded like he was at least 30. That didn’t matter though since he said I opened the package that there was nothing they could do. Seriously? A brand new set of strings and you can’t take them back or exchange them? How bout you repackage them?
It’s all good though as there is nothing that I need to do at this particular place of business. I can always find another store to give my money to.
Now try hiring some staff that actually care about music and know what they’re talking about.
Rude staff who act as though you should know everything they know. Sad they have no competition in Castle Rock. TOTALLY lacks customer empathy!

THE last true independent record store in Douglas County. They have a curated selection of quality vinyl across all genres, at fair prices. Lots of great used stuff, and new. The owners and employees are as beautiful as their product selection is!
Great little music store, lots of records of all genres.
Lots of good things
Cute ma and pa vibes, a good selection of what you would hear on the radio, but nothing more “under grown” but does the job and full of nice kind people
Awesome local Vinyl, music and extras shop. Always has new stuff coming in, owners and staff are always very nice. Would definitely recommend stopping in if you have the chance!
It’s a cool little record store in Castle Rock. I stop by here every time I get a chance and I always find something for a decent price. Smelled strongly of incense the last time I went, but not overpoweringly.

Timely and efficient. Clarinet sounds great and my daughter said she can hit high notes she was unable to achieve on school instrument.
We’ve taken my daughters marching flute and her concert flute here for service, repairs and general maintenance. The guys are always awesome and so friendly. Most importantly the work is done exceptionally well, quickly and for a decent price. Won’t take her flutes anywhere else!
Lee completed a saxophone repair and adjustments in less than 24 hours. Nice work in a timely manner. I’ll definitely be using their services in the future.
The team at CIOMIT has taken great care of all of our brass instruments. My daughter’s trumpets needed some TLC after we acquired them, now they are in tip top shape. My French horn needed some cleaning and some slides unstuck, after I got it back from CIOMIT everything is working well.
I went in to get a sticky valve fixed on my trumpet, while the first time the issue was not understood and it was only cleaned I brought it back and re did it, now it’s playing like a dream!
Very knowledgable place and trustworthy. We drive all the way from Aurora to have them work on our instraments. They are also reasonably priced.
Do not rent from this place! Returned the instrument 6 months ago, they are still charging my credit card. Worst customer service I have ever seen in the state of Colorado.
I took my flute in, not only did they not bash on the flute but they made the flute worse. Now I have to get about $1,000 worth of work on it done. They striped the corkscrew and did not put the pads back in alignment, so now it is harder to play.
This place is awful. Purchased a flute from a Craigslist posting. Flute doesn’t fit my needs. Attempted to return flute in less than a day and they will not refund me my money.
They never said all sales final. Do not go here. They are shady. The guy Brad sold me the flute for cash to avoid taxes on it.
Be cautious. They may buy insufficient product to replace your expensive equipment.
