Great small family music store that been there for decades with all the things most families need for their kids music studies, including books, reeds, strings, instruments, tuners, guitars, amps, bass, drums, horns, violins, etc. Nice staff that really tries to help.
Great pricing very kind and helpful
its a great store but there’s a lot of bad stuff that happened to me when i was shopping there. The first thing was that it took almost 45 dollars to restring and tune my violin. i wasn’t too mad about that part but the thing that made me do the 3 star was that after 2 days, its out of tune. when i took my violin back from the shop, it seemed like the strings were really stiff and were extremely tight.
Left my guitar there for about 3 weeks and when I went there they still had me wait for 3 hours for my guitar and they wanted me to pay more after I payed 60 Bc I payed 60 for strings they have no idea what they are doing
I have no idea how good they are because I have spent too much time sitting outside their store waiting for it to open! However, I should thank them because the last time I got fed up waiting for them, I found Music Unlimited on E. 14th Street and my music needs are now fulfilled.
My wife bought a string from this store. She said the person on the phone was friendly but when she arrived mood quickly changed, idk if because she is from Brazil or what. The string she bought, she put it on and after one use, it broke. I took it back for her because she had to work, and then wouldn’t accept a refund. I asked what the refund policy is and she didn’t give me an answer. I will never go back to this store or shop here again.

Great place with a wide variety of records, really takes you back in time.
Absolutely awesome time. The owner was super cool and extremely knowledgeable! I grabbed some super cool stuff 10/10 highly recommend
Great little record shop with that classic, local feel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Good prices and selection as well!
Got a lot of records I could see for size of store I admit and some CDs. Unfortunately, didn’t find anything that stood out. The guy that owned it was very nice and knowledgeable. Might check back again.
Very welcoming, intimate location. Good but incomplete selection.
5. Castro Valley School of Music

Got lessons from Nate for my granddaughter… she enjoyed his teaching style! They have a very well run school with lots of space and fun things for youth. They also have many offices where the individual private lessons occur. Staff are professional and courteous!
Great place love it there went to go get my drum sticks and guitar strings there and they give every option and are super friendly. Defnetly suggest coming here for any music needs
Great customer service! Came in to buy some strings and they had the exact ones I was looking for! I also walked out with a new orange bass amp after they kindly offered to let me demo it. It’s the most tidy, clean and well organized family owned store you’ll ever walk into. Highly recommend Music Depot to anyone. Thanks guys!
The staff are knowledgeable and really friendly. Highly recommended
Went in for mandolin strings, probably would’ve bought em here if they had Elixir. Employee made snarky comment as I walked out w nothing in hand. Perhaps if there were better choices I would’ve supported the small business :/
Place is never open-at least not during the posted hours when i have tried to stop in! Not a real useful store, if i can’t go in to buy something.
Came here twice. Hate driving out this way store was closed with no signage or reason. Called and no answer either. At least update your times or put a sign up
