Ladies and gentlemen. I have the honor today to be writing this review for the music go round establishment in Duluth, Georgia. This community NAY… this SOCIETY… would benefit immensely by taking a lesson from this music go round family. Not only was I greeted with the warmest of welcomes in the coldest of seasons but I was immediately flabbergasted by the sheer quantity and quality of each and every piece of music making equipment in this facility. From the mics to the guitars to the drums to the smiles behind each and every mask in the store – TOP KNOTCH! My reason for coming in on this fateful day was to trade in one of my guitars and nothing more BUT because of Paulie’s electric personality and vigor I ended up walking away with not only a BEAUTIFUL NEW TUBE AMP but I also brought home an even more gorgeous emerald colored Gretch guitar that sounds NOT A DAY OVER PERFECT! my trade in was super fair and just with the guitar I brought in as well, on my mama. I will definitely be coming back in the future for maybe a new Bass? or perhaps my first drum kit?! Thank you Music Go Round, y’all are legends!
Nice staff. Fair prices.
The most friendly and helpful staff you’ll come across!
Good selection, knowledgeable staff, decent prices.
The staff here cares about their customers but tend to overprice a few items.
Okay selection. Good layout.
Cool if you’re looking for music gear but terrible place to sell, all these guys do is low ball you and try to make as much profit on your gear as possible. Would give a better review if your employees weren’t so stuck up. They’ll be happy to take your money though anytime.
Went in to buy strings for my son instrument and price is 2 times higher than others store
. Not very professional employees and store also Feels like Pawn Shop . Don’t waste your time and money.
Stay away and do not support this joke of a music store…Look at anything advertised on their site. Then look at the shipping cost! For example, they charge $96 to ship a 3 pound cymbal! What tops the cake is the worst customer service you receive via phone or direct email. “We rather sell it in the store that’s why we charge so much for shipping.” Yeah, you read right: I actually was verbally told this via phone…and to back this up, they refuse to give the business owners name and claim the “Floor Manager Naeem” is the store owner and shot caller…who is the reason behind this disgusting practice. Ann Wood is the owner. Be sure to call and ask for her if you have the same issues and she’s the real problem. This review was posted after experiencing the same situation twice here, and four other times nationwide. Do not buy anything here, shop where service and fair market value is the standard.

Nice shop, great relaxed atmosphere, very helpful and kind, happy with my purchase! Thanks
I have bought from this place many times and have taken lessons and I am happen without the service and the instructors have passion about what they teach.
This is a pretty good little store. I bought my guitar and amp here
Rip off.go elsewhere. I use to really like bringing my daughter here but they must be under new management. Prices have gotten ridiculous!!!
3. Ken Stanton Music

My bass wasn’t working and they were about to close. Yet, they still managed to look and at it and fix it. It sounds great and 100% customer satisfaction. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.they helped me in 5 mins quickest ever!!!
We are so happy to have found this shop. The experience we had down the street was horrible and these guys completely turned the day around! Went in for one guitar and because of the staffs knowledge and kindness we left with two!! You guys are awesome!
Amazing service and experience.
Friendly, very helpful
I am visiting from Las Vegas and found Cheney Brannon, in the drum department to be friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to spend a few minutes with me. Cheney will be getting a call from me next year when I will be ready to buy my new Tama Star or Starclassic kit……
I’m not saying I’m being racially profiled, but every time I walk up in there, I always have older white gentlemen talking down on me. It’s disrespectful and unprofessional to a growing musician like me and I feel very unwelcomed. I know it’s Marietta, but nobody likes your white boy confidence, so please keep your employee’s attitude in check, even if you’re going through a hard time yourself
There is a reason why I have only been in this store twice in ten years very unfriendly staff. It would get zero stars if possible but one is as low as it will go.
We had a bad experience at that place. We tried to rent my son an instrument, but the workers kept giving illogical excuses for us not to rent.
4. Jackson’s Music Store Inc
Address: 1651 Horizon Pkwy #500, Buford, GA 30518 , Castro , Georgia , United States
Their cordial staff was an eye-opener; I haven’t experienced such expertise in one’s craft until I walked into that store. On a Saturday, one staff member was even helpful enough to call up a rep, who only works on weekdays, to answer my questions, and he did so willingly and insisted on not hanging up until I was more than satisfied.
Great employees
Very friendly staff. Bought a Fender Strat about a month ago (Sept.2017) and no major issues so far. I will suggest to them that when they sell a product, like a guitar, they should put a set of new strings on it before turning it over to the customer. When I tune my strat, it loses the tune before I can finish pllaying the first song. Otherwise I will continue using Jackson Music in Buford, GA.
I come here for instrument repairs. I’m a professional musician that need his instrument asap. Mark at this location always fixes my sax perfectly. I’m going for a repad in the next two weeks
Chad was very helpful.
Employees know there job but convenience is a -1
I had been going in the store for music lessons for boys and now it is on the way home from work.. I paid almost $60 for a microphone and a piece that connects it to the speaker. I like support mom and pop shops. The microphone did not work. When I tried to switch it with the same sales person I bought it from 3days before. He remember me and accuse me of damaging it and lying about it. He pulled it up and it did not work. Instead of apologizing he said if the new one broke I could not bring it back. I told he did not need to worry because I would not be back to that store. I went to speak to the owner and she ask him to apologize which he could not do and I told her it was okay and not necessary because I would not be back. I guess next time I will order it off online and pay 1/3 the price and not get such horrible treatment.
Probably the rudest treatment I’ve ever gotten from the owners of a store.
If you need to get repairs or looking for new instruments. Go online or guitar center. Please don’t waste your time here. They have no clue how to treat customers.
Also: They don’t have any good equipment for musicians actually wanting to play. If you want some cheap guitars or any other instruments. You wont finde any there worth buying. And they also don’t have any high value gear. Things are over-priced, damaged, and/or not what they tell you it is. The return policy also has many flaws. Don’t come here to try out things. Come here if you want to waste some money and buy cheap quality gear.
Don’t go here. They have the worst service ever. I have a clarinet and the thumb rest broke, and I had to get a realignment for my bottom keys and they only fixed my thumb rest but took money for both realignment and my thumb rest. They didn’t fix both things but took charge for both. How pathetic.
5. Guitar Center
Address: 970 North Point Dr Suite A120, Alpharetta, GA 30022 , Castro , Georgia , United States
Great location to get product knowledge! Tanner helped pickout some streaming gear and they are very understanding when it comes to questions and inquiries about tech equipment.
Stopby and ask away. Very impressive on selection and easy to work with.
Best place for everything musician!
Love this store” I love guitars and this place is home away from home for me when ever I need to unwind I go to guitar center an I’m good when I live in Texas & before that I live in Michigan I went to guitar center now I’m in the peach state guitar center is my joint” just brought me a new guitar from here the other day and I love it I will be back who knows I’ll probably get me another one soon.
Ok, staff was confused when I mentioned the high cost of their products compared to just a few years ago.
lots to do
Good selection, good prices, experienced helpful staff. I’d give it 5 Stars, if it was a locally-owned store instead of a big chain.
This store tries to sell a lot of open box and damaged merchandise as new gear. BUYER BEWARE!
The sales staff is very knowledgeable and makes excellent recommendations based on what you want and not so much on what THEY want to sell you.
Also the 5 star review from store manager Matt Bullard is DEFINITELY a conflict of interests.
Went in for a keyboard piano for my daughter, our first purchase of the kind and was approached right away (pounced!) by sales guy named Tanner, asking if my daughter and I were “together”, weird considering she’s 11 and I was basically holding her hand. We were on a budget but he proceeded to show us the most expensive models, and left us to look. Another salesman was around when I had a question about one I wanted and he was super helpful. Went to check out with him and Tanner rudely cut in, I could only assume to make sure he could get the commission or credit for the sale. Awkward situation, and really I didn’t want him to check us out because he was pushy and borderline rude. Kept throwing around the keyboard like a toy and trying to sidestep giving me what ended up being a 5% floor model discount (also realized later that keyboard was missing a $25 music stand attachment piece too) . Kept pushing and making me feel cheap bc I didn’t get their “warranty”. I almost walked out at one point when he went for “approval” and probably should have, but I didn’t want to ruin my daughter’s excitement. They took care of that for us He was approached by someone who walked in during my checkout and got super distracted, threw my receipt towards me and no thank you or anything. Won’t be back due to this employee’s odd way of customer service and “comission” structure here.
Very understaffed
But pie was very helpfull
Speaker riom not working
