Everything you would expect of a bar in the wild West… Which is still a thing
Have been out to the depot 3 times in the past 9 days! I drive 17 miles to enjoy their great atmosphere, food and staff! The owner remembers my name and greets me warmly each time I arrive….LOVE that! I did karaoke for the very first time saturday night and it was a blast!!! The whole bar was singing along with me on ‘ ITS MY LIFE’ Bon Jovi!! Step out of your comfort zone and visit and sing with other loving life minded souls! No from for haters at this AWESOME watering hole!! Try the pizzadilla!!, a tortilla covered in whatever topping you want!! Cant wait to go back! Well worth the 34 mike round trip!! Love you guys!
I love playing pool there!! Some of my best friends over the last four years are in here!! And we enjoy the new owners immensely and the manager, Elisse, is just the greatest!!
Good hamburger. Beans were cold.
Loved the charm of the pub!
Ok if you like pool hall environment. Good food, clean, warm n friendly. Great place to hang out
Very good food, had the lunch special. Nice folks, wish them all the best
Good food but I’ve called for 4 days now and no answer all day , disappointed
First off, the pictures that come up for this place are horribly deceiving. It’s a complete dive with no booths or any sort of welcoming decor seen in the photos. We walked into an open room with tables jumbled around in no particular order. They were old and rickety with mid-matched chairs. It was so bad we looked online again to make sure we were in the same restaurant we had found online. We were. The single paper menu on the table (with very little variety to offer on the inside) had dried pizza sauce on it. The waitress/bartender was unfriendly and gruff, much like the tough crowd of customers, causing us to nearly walk out. The only reason I’m giving this place two stars is because the burgers were good. Keep on driving to another restaurant.
Poor food and no BBQ. Basically a typical locals bar. Bartender was a little down. Gave him 33 percent tip to try to raise his spirits.
Margaritas over ice too much mix not enough tequila.
A true American treasure! This is the type of guitar shop I want to take my kids for their first musical instrument. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Thank you Kris for the wonderful experience! You went above and beyond to get me the perfect guitar at a great price! You won another customer for life brother
A local music store ran by a knowledgeable owner. John has good instruments for sale at decent prices. If you have any questions regarding guitars, amplifiers, or their many accessories John can answer them.
Went in to see what they had in banjos today. Had a great vintage one in nice condition. Price was sweet, got some strings, bag and picks. Chis and John both were great and helpful. Noticed everything was reasonably priced and had tons of instruments To look at. Glad to support a local business. Will be back for sure.
Thanks guys.
Dana
Low quality gear that is way over priced.
wouldn’t give it even one star! I just went in to grab some guitar strings and was never once acknowledged the whole time I was there. Not even a greeting. needless to say I walked out. Not sure what the deal is in this town but I have yet to encounter any sort of professionalism with the businesses here!!!
4. Brindley’s Music Center
Address: 836 N Arizona Ave, Chandler, AZ 85225 , Congress , Arizona , United States
Quality repairs at a bargain price! Had my bass and tube amp repaired here when other places couldn’t figure out what was wrong with them. Great service.
My brother first introduced me to Bruce at Brindleys when I first moved back to the East valley a few years ago from Vegas. I had a great dude in Vegas and Bruce has filled in as my local, better than I expected. Ive had some less than average experiences. His family biz has been a fixture in the valley for years and his experience and knowledge is evident. If you’re in need of a tweak on your guitar, a product or lessons… Brindleys is your spot in the East Valley. FACTS.
Friendly place with a surprising variety of instruments.
Good music store for those looking for something specific…not much to look at for those who want to look around or window shop (especially for drum equip). Other than that, it’s a good local music shop. They used to make their own brand of drumsticks, which were GREAT, but last time I went they said they no longer make them. Bummer!
They are wonderful people and always take care of their customer by heart.
Fix it for the most part. Still feels as if the instrument is leaking from somewhere on the lower register. Still hard to push low notes without struggle.
Sold my 6 month old Guild OM240 cuz I was struggling financially. I paid $425 for it at Bizarre Guitar. Owner tells me there’s major work needing to be done cuz wood was dry and neck was tweaked. He said he’d hafta put in humidifier for couple weeks and he MIGHT be able to repair. He offered me $150. I had to plead with him to give me $160…The very next day he listed it on Offer up for $375. Call it smart business. Call it shrewdness.
I call it dishonesty. Only Guild I could ever afford and I’m humiliated. Regret going here.
My son wanted to buy from a local shop. He spent $400 of his own money on a used guitar, new amp and cord. The cord tip broke off in the amp input 3 weeks after purchase ruining the cord and amp. My son attempted to get a replacement with his receipt in hand and was told he would need to pay for the repair of the amp. When I called and spoke to the owner Bruce I encountered an arrogant and condescending man with little to no concern for the customer. Instead he proceeded to blame my son for the faulty cord and infer that the damage was caused by something he did. Mind you he has played on entry level equipment for years and never had a single issue. We also had an independent professional agree that the cord was faulty and caused the damage to the amp input. Regardless Bruce repeatedly told me something was fishy, that 2 plus 2 told him something else happened, that he had been in business for 43 years and I didn’t know anything and took the Lords name in vain time after time during our conversation. When I told him it was unfortunate that he wouldn’t correct the issue he told me I would be blackmailing him if a bad review was left. Sorry Bruce but their were no threats made, only a customer wanting others not to have their hard earned money thrown away. Be a professional. Based on some of the other reviews I have looked at it appears we are not the first, second or even third customers treated this way. When he continued to argue and obsess that he would dispute a review and it was apparent nothing else mattered I hung up. No amount of logic would change this mans mind. Fortunately we know the truth and he can convince himself otherwise all he wants. Their are plenty of local shops lile Milanos and corporate shops like Guitar Center who appreciate the business and know the value of a loyal customer!
Terrible. The service is great but. 13 dollars for 1. 1 Bari sax size 3 Reed is way to expensive. I could get 5 for 30 on Amazon. That’s a amazing price. The sax repairs are way to expensive. 100 for a check up. When you Could go down the street to superstition mountain music and get everyone about 50% cheaper.

Great store! Rick is super friendly and helpful! Rented a saxophone and the process was quick and easy.
For a small town store front music store Ric totally delivers with a wide selection of quality instruments, equipment and quality customer based service. If he doesn’t have it in stock, he will the distance to get you what you want or need.
I highly recommend Quigtone to everyone.
7. Music & Arts
Address: 2025 Pebble Creek Pkwy Suite A05-A06, Goodyear, AZ 85395 , Congress , Arizona , United States
Adrian was very helpful when I went in to rent a trombone for my son. It was a quick and easy process.
Really nice store, with variety of instruments and musical equipment for sale and rental. The staff is very friendly and helpful, Adrian Jones helped me find a good bass amplifier and made sure that it was what I was looking for. Very professional and experienced.
Adrian was very helpful he was able not only tell me but show me the quality of the flutes I was looking at. It was also very helpful to talk to someone that knows about Flutes.
Three stars. There’s not enough supplies for a beginning tenor saxophonist. I’m sure my rating will be higher once the supply chain situation improves.
NIce store and studios. The gal working there is very nice, but isn’t so familar with their products and services, otherwise I’d give it a five star rating.
DONT GO HERE!!!!
Paid to have my daughters flute tuned up, pass, springs, etc. less than two months later a pad is falling off. I returned to the store and was met with a rude supervisor who told me to just call him Ty, he wouldn’t give me his name. When I inquired about a rental he told me there was no way I would get a free rental even when it’s been less than two months and we already paid good money for both a rental AND their repairs. Once “ty” was done talking AT me he told me I was being hostile after every question I asked him and then he just rolled good eyes, crossed his arms and told me to let him know if I would be leaving my daughters flute there. Absolutely would not recommend this place. I’m going to contact corporate as well. DON’T GO HERE!
Old head must can’t hear himself so he scream talks. UGH. 2 stars for Chris, he was AWESOME 🙂
Needed to pick up some guitar picks. Entered the store with no greeting. The gentleman was helping a customer. No big deal. I looked around for what I needed and found it. Waited to patiently to ourchases. The guy was trying to sell a small electric quitar that apparently wasn’t functioning. Thankfully I didn’t have any questions and could easily go somewhere else. Which is what I did and recommended you do as well.
8. Atomic Guitar Works
Address: 8550 N 91st Ave, Peoria, AZ 85345 , Congress , Arizona , United States
The best guitar shop I’ve ever been to. Tim & Harry are consummate professionals. I’ve been bringing guitars to them for 10 years now, ranging from 5-figure custom shop instruments to imports, and they treat every one of my guitars with the utmost respect and consideration. They’re master certified to work on Gibson and Taylor acoustics, which is an important variable to consider when bringing in non electric instruments.
Over and above the quality of their work, they’re just great guys. Always kind, conversational, and sharing their wisdom in areas that are helpful to players and owners. Highly recommend.
I took my favorite guitar there the other day to have the frets leveled and crowned and to get it set up for drop A tuning. The fret work is well done and even though my guitar has a Floyd Rose floating bridge the set up they did makes the guitar feel very smooth and easy to play, even with the heavy 12 to 62 gauge strings they put on it. Thanks guys for doing such a good job. Highly recommend.
Excellent service on ES- 339 pickup selector switch! Kudos to Harry!
Small but impressive guitar shop. Nice selection of after market parts and strings.
You have been warned. They talked like they knew the product very well to build trust. They overpromised and underdelivered when I got my guitar back and still wanted to make excuses???, the work I asked for was clearly stated in the receipt.
A great place to get a custom made guitar
Just got off the phone with one the associates here. Arrogant and unhelpful.
I took a mid-level Martin to them with a crack. They humidified it to where the crack closed. They told me it was repaired but to be sure and keep it humidified. The fact is they humidified and the crack closed they didn’t do the repair but they charged me for it.
I bought a charvel jake e lee model that supposedly was built by someone at atomic guitars and it was the worst thing I’ve ever played, held or experienced. Everything about it was off from the neck pocket to the fingerboard and frets. I was told that it was built by the guys at atomic guitar and I hope that wasn’t the case at all.
9. Buford’s Workshop
Address: 0095, 22772 AZ-89, Yarnell, AZ 85362 , Congress , Arizona , United States
Knowledgeable of Taylor Guitars and has repaired several of mine at reasonable prices.
Friendly and very accommodating!
I’ve been going to Boogie for 27 years and have always experienced great service. It’s a wonderful store specifically for bass players. The owner is never afraid to talk shop, help you out, and share his own opinions and experiences as he is a well seasoned bass player. Most recently, he helped me find the right set of pickups to breathe new life into my first bass; purchased from the one and only, Boogie Music. As a small shop that was triangulated by the big box music stores, Boogie has weathered the storm of competition by providing great service and taking care of musicians time and time again. I’ve had an opportunity to watch him interact with customers over the years and I can’t say that I’ve ever seen him attempt to upsale for the sake of profit or just to move product that he had in-house. The same can’t be said for those other stores. He truly wants you to be happy with your purchase. Other stores just want to sell you product.
They will not sell you small pieces for bass instruments (i.e. springs, valve corks, or other small parts) instead they insist on bringing the instrument to their repair shop (not really expensive to do either) but if you are a person like me who needs their instrument on the daily it would be more time efficient to just buy the piece and fix it my self.
They are very helpful and answer my questions about learning how to play the guitar.
I have been renting a flute from Boogie music for my daughter for 3 years now. DON’T believe the 100% return on all rental fees towards purchase of a new instrument! There are loopholes for them. Not 100% of the fee you pay a month is the rental fee, roughly 2/3 is. They also only will give you this credit if you are purchasing a higher end instrument. I will have to rent a flute from them for 8 years to pay for the 1000 dollar flute they will give me the credit on. They have a much cheaper flute on their websight, but say it is not American made and that one will not count towards the credit.
While they do have repair facilities and will fix anything broken, they have not done any maintenance or cleaning on this flute in 3 years and when asked if they would, I was told bring it in and they will check it out, but no maintenance is needed.
This flute has been fine for her in grade school, but I will need to pay for it almost all the way through high school to get the trade in they will do. Just be careful make sure your child wants to play an instrument forever before getting into the contract if you want to be able to get any trade in credit.
Rude and condescending.
Worst music store in Phoenix! Old man that works there has a bad attitude and lies about guitar prices! Definitely not going back there ever again!
The person at the store followed me around the store the entire time and was super critical on how I played the guitars (which was not abusive or disrespectful). Made me not feel welcome or wanted. I would buy from anywhere else. Wish this was not true, I love little music stores.
11. Milano Music
Address: 38 W Main St, Mesa, AZ 85201 , Congress , Arizona , United States
Very satisfying, helpful fast service. Discounts on items and lessons
Helpful staff and easy to park and energy the shop.
This is THE place for guitar effects pedals! Such an awesome selection, Its H U G E !
Easy parking in the back. This store has everything a musician could ever want or need.
Very helpful and new where and what I needed
Quite helpful, but pricey. Gave them my business but could have done better on – line.
Where is my refund? I’ve been renting a violin for my student for the past 2 years. When the pandemic broke out students were not allowed back to school. The music teacher always encouraged the students to leave their instruments in class so they weren’t carrying them back and forth. When school shut down, they announced that any instruments left at school would be returned. Legacy partnered with milano when I rented the instrument. The school has been closed since march and I’ve been getting my account drawn. I’ve been told twice that they’d refund me for the last month, and still havent seen it. When I believe that I should be reimbursed for the last three months. This company has not been very undersranding how financially difficult times are right now.
Took a guitar to a practice room and was rudely reprimanded for doing so despite no one telling me not do that and no signs posting any rule of that sort. Did not feel like a valued customer, ended up purchasing a guitar somewhere else. Other employees are friendly, this older gentleman was rude and not customer friendly.
Never again
12. The Music Store
Address: 2630 W Baseline Rd, Mesa, AZ 85202 , Congress , Arizona , United States
Stopped in to have our guitar checked out, Brenden was awesome, filed the frets and made sure it was properly tuned. Didn’t get a chance to explore the expansive store, but my son is excited to go back again when we have more time!
Friendly people. Sold me a great instrument
This music store provides excellent and quick service. Great instrument rental options.
Fui una vez a ver las guitars
The instruments we have rental have been pretty worn but still work well and it is an OK deal for the price. Customer service is helpful and friendly. We have been pleased with our violin rental over this past year and will continue renting here into the next school year.
Great verify of sheet music and ukuleles and an awesome luthier.
Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever had, 3 people working and not one of them tried to help me whatsoever and 2 of them didn’t even acknowledge I was in the store! Very poor service
I’m renting a clarinet and they gave it uncleaned (had old spit) and with broken parts. Horrible customer service. My tried fixing the first rental, but after a week, they just returned it without fixing anything.
“Jp” the owner looked right at me and said “no” to giving me a 10% teacher discount for an $11 red label string. Thanks bud.
13. Ziggie’s Music
Address: 3309 N 3rd St Ac, Phoenix, AZ 85012 , Congress , Arizona , United States
If you like music, and have the opportunity to visit Ziggie’s, I hope you` visit. If you’re lucky, you may show up when others are having an impromptu jam session, or possibly other patrons and staff are just chatting or joking around. This is such a warm and welcoming place to be. I used to stop by when, I still lived in Arizona, after work, all the time and continued to do this as did many other people, for decades! It was so much fun just to look at all of the instruments and chat with the staff and teachers. They are all so very nice and informative! Dionne Hauke, the owner, is a wonderful person that is one of the kindest and most intelligent people I’ve ever met! Very “down to earth” people, all of them. This is a place where many people would just stop in and leave their children for lessons and come back to pick them up later, or many of the parents would hang out and chat too. There are “swap meets” on the first Saturday of each month where there are usually refreshments and fun too… The pricing is normal, and in many cases modest. Dionne will buy or trade instruments too. Chuck Hauke, does all the electronic repairs of amps and such, where Dionne repairs the accordions. There are other repair staff too, for any sort of necessary repair, but I don’t know them all. John has been a major part of Ziggie’s for at least 20 years that I know of… He and Dionne are a great team and he is also very kind. Megan Hauke is now the 4th generation to be working in the store. I know many of the teachers, and there are YouTube videos that are made from time to time too, that people post from the store of jam sessions, etc. Dionne is very easy to work with, and versatile as far as if you need something for a gig, or if you need a repair quickly, they will bend over backward to help you where I can’t say this of any other store there. I now live in Nashville, and can’t say I have ever come across another store like this one. That’s probably why it has been part of the Phoenix landscape since the 1920’s when Ziggie opened the store… These people genuinely care! Check them out.
Really cool little mom and pop. Loved the atmosphere here, definitely will revisit this shop.
No other music store has such a unique variety of instruments. The owner and staff there are extremely friendly. The best part about this place is that there are no bench fees period!! Definitely a place to rock out with the weird and gilly.
Very helpful the information what’s good
The perfectly imperfect music store with a hometown feel.
literally 30 minutes b4 it was supposed to close me my mom and friend were trying to get in it was closed and we were looking in it was dirty that didn’t bother me it was just the fact there were no employees there 30 before close hours meaning it wasn’t we had just missed it meaning they had closed before hand
Was looking for a decent music store but this is not it. The place is dirty, and only carries used gear. The selection was very disappointing. Look elsewhere
Store hours say 10 til 6 M thru S but they don’t follow them…..went by at 230 and no one showed up…..zero stars if I could
14. Zimm’s Guitars
Address: 1305 W Guadalupe Rd Ste E1, Mesa, AZ 85202 , Congress , Arizona , United States
Cool store…everything is used, couple of interesting options while I was there. It’s the kind of place you check in with on a regular basis because they are bound to have a gem once in a while.
nice selection of used acoustic guitars and owner was super helpful…..its hard ro spot as from the road but its right under the palm tree cell tower
Excellent small guitar shop one of the best on town
Nice guy. Mostly cheapo brands. Lots of pedals. Guys deals in used gear. I have found a few cool items there. But you need to stop in every week or two as inventory changes.
Love this little local shop. (watch all your vids btw) Only reason for 4 stars is everything has to be fairly quiet because the tenant in the unit adjoining them complains. Kind of a bummer for a music store. But everything else is aces. 🙂
Showed up right after 5:30pm and they were closed. Hours say open until 6pm.
Heard good things about them, but don’t advertise that you are open hours that you are not open, maybe I’ll change my rating for it when I go in there and they’re actually open when they say they are
15. Acoustic Vibes Music
Address: 2070 E Southern Ave, Tempe, AZ 85282 , Congress , Arizona , United States
Great customer service and very knowledgeable! I’ll be back.
This is a beautiful store with an unparalleled selection of mid and high end guitars and services supported by a very courteous and knowledgeable staff.
Helpful staff and a beautiful selection of high end guitars
High end guitars on an eclectic atmosphere with no pressure sales.
Best acoustic guitar selection I’ve seen
Best music store in the area to peruse some of the best acoustic instruments by selected boutique and mainstream builders. The stock is priced between $3 and $10k but the reward for spending more is finding the equivalent of a Steinway (beautiful tone, resonance and playability) in a steel or nylon string guitar. Cheaper instruments are available, but comparing them to the better ones is motivation to indulge yourself or reward yourself for hard work in getting better. Better sound makes you play at a higher level. Check this small store out!
Good selection, but weird atmosphere and left me feeling unwelcome. One might think such a ‘high’ tier guitar store would offer a ‘high’ tier experience, but that wasn’t the case for me. When I first entered the building I was met by a few older customers and employees and got nothing but a sour face by everyone just by opening the door, no greeting, nothing- super awkward, everybody literally stopped talking to look at me with an irritated look, as if I had interrupted something. I then had to excuse myself past the small gathering of what looked like employees talking to customers that wouldn’t move just to get to the first guitar room. I then was greeted by a salesman who instead of letting me tell him what I’m looking for, proceeds to go into a shpeel on all the different Martin models, basically making me interrupt him to tell what I’m looking for. The salesman also told me HD28s don’t come with dot inlays yet here I am looking at older models with them all over the internet. There was nobody else browsing the store in the guitar sections. I was then told I could play guitars, but the adjacent rooms are used for things like Banjo, which made it so I couldn’t even hear the guitars I was trying to play because somebody was in there clawing away. I really don’t think I’ll be visiting again, regardless of the selection. I’ll spend thousands of dollars somewhere else that takes every customer seriously. I went to Milano music right after and was treated respectfully and seriously without hesitation, and I didn’t need to schedule a high-pressure sales pitch and waste an hour of my time.
Very unfortunate visit, coming in to try out and buy a steel string guitar. We were greeted with passive aggressiveness and a magazine thrown across the main entrance before entering the guitar room from the shop keeper, young guy. incredibly rude and 0 customer service.
Made the whole stay unpleasant.

16. The Bass Place
Address: 9880 W Peoria Ave, Peoria, AZ 85345 , Congress , Arizona , United States
I can’t recommend this place enough! I’ve used them for years for setups and repairs, and I’ve never had a problem, needed anything redone, or had to complain
The service is always stellar! I just got a bass back, and I had brought along strings for the setup. They ended up not fitting, but The Bass Place had a set that fit a pretty obscure set of requirements (scale length and string number) on-hand, so me providing the wrong strings didn’t delay my bass getting back to me at all!
If you haven’t tried this place, you should
17. Central Music
Address: 5038 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85012 , Congress , Arizona , United States
Best place for classical guitar music. Super friendly staff!
Just the BEST since Forever in Music books, music with CD’s, instruments and repair
Got lots of really good help.
I go there frequently to buy strings, picks (I love the “cool picks” and the “ice picks”), polish, fretboard conditioner, etc, and no matter if I’m spending $1.00 or $100.00 they’re always friendly and helpful. I just wish they had guitar parts and things like effects pedals. Maybe someday they will but until then I’ll keep buying my essentials there.
Great selection of sheet music
really great service but nothing is perfect
They didn’t help me they said I had to make 4 other drives to get it
CentralMusic purchase policy of NO REFUNDS NO RETURNS: bought a gig bag/very nice. Also bought, and am now stuck with, Kremona KNG classical guitar pickup: rubber on the plug end is brittle/cracking. I tape-wrapped it BECAUSE NO REFUNDS/NO RETURNS. However, I do apologize to you, Central Music, because I should have examined that pickup, should have said “rubber boot has breaks” or something to that effect. But I bought it the day before my wife’s funeral service where I was scheduled to play for a bit. So, I was a little pressed for time, grieving My Beautiful Wife’s passing, not thinking before I posted my comments about Central Music. So, I am sorry if I sounded rude, because that’s not who I am. On the bright side, your shop was open, item was available, product does work, and I wish I could read music better because you have lots of sheet music available and other gear for sale.
No tiene variedad de cuerdas,no ve de guitarras de calidad.
18. Music & Arts
Address: 5350 W Bell Rd #132, Glendale, AZ 85308 , Congress , Arizona , United States
I called and talked to Gary about an old flute that I wanted to get checked out. He was very nice and helpful over the phone. I went down to the store and Gary was extremely wonderful. Above and beyond. He spent time looking over the flute. He fixed a few things on it and showed me how to shine it up.I will be back for everything I need from now on. I also noticed a young woman and another man at the front desk. They were both extremely courteous and helpful. It’s nice to go into a business where the employees are happy and kind.
Very helpful staff, great stock (not as great for percussionists), excellent quality. I refuse to go anywhere else.
If you have a problem and you need it fixed come here they have the solution. If you are
thinking playing the Violin, viola, Chello And want a good teacherAsk to talk with Amanda Myers she’s my teacher and she’s does a great good job I’m proud of the way she treats me and how much I’ve learned from her.
Staff was super
Jih ill
I was there picking up a instrument for my grandson The associate in the store was very helpful an courteous. For me it was a good experience
Be very careful getting anything from this place read anything you sign. The instruments they sell or lease must be priceless. I paid over 1800 dollars on what I thought was a rent to own instrument to find out three years later they are still billing me. When I went to turn in the instrument and resolve the issue they told me it was no rent to own but a lease that builds credit for another item when I end the contract I could purchase an instrument with that credit. WoW was I shocked to find out that the items they are offering you for that credit are Clapped out I’m talking a $50 tops flea market condition. I was insulted and walked out! Now I see a $50 balance that I had with them a year ago is @ almost $500 dollars.!!! In my opinion they are @ the level of predatory lending because @ the time my son needed the I instrument I didn’t have the $300 to buy one. The school sent me here and this was the outcome I am nauseous..
More of a gift shop then a music store. Non musician sales people, don’t have a clue.
These are horribly rude staff. The manager Ms Niki and the front person Ms Kaila have been extremely rude and have inappropriate behavior towards the customers. My wife was unable to give the credit card number available for a session so we requested to offer cash pay or check for one day but the whole management and front team was extremely rude towards her and the child. They all teamed up and decided not to offer the lessons to the kid which was kind of totally inappropriate. Even we requested that our kid has an exam but still they denied any sessions . We will never recommend them to anyone for their child education , as we go there to have our kids being helped and not to listen to rude and inappropriate behavior of the staff there. Absolutely will never recommend them for anyone.
19. Music & Arts
Address: 891 E Baseline Rd Suite 101, Gilbert, AZ 85233 , Congress , Arizona , United States
Absolutely wonderful staff and music teachers for lessons. We had piano lessons there for several years. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I like this place. It is pretty good and cool, they have good prices on guitar accessories. I always go there for guitar strings.
Helpful employee who gave me a discount once he found out I am a music teacher.
It’s a good shop with kind staff and great teachers. But it’s missing some TLC. Cello bow options are limited and there’s this huge tent inside that is just in the way
This place is a great place. They are helping navigate being the mom of an orchestra student and it’s a task! They are so nice about helping me figure out what book I need to get him and what size chin rest he needs. They’re super nice.
Definitely not as friendly or helpful as the Power location.
This company failed to inform over the telephone that if you show up with the cash they will be ducting $50 cash out of your money as a deposit and after ending the lessons the store ” policy ” is designed to not give you your cash back and require access to your banking card and information to release your deposit. After over a week of the classes being finished the store contacted me to inform me that my $50 cash was at the store to be picked up as my refund for my deposit. After driving across town to go to the store I’m informed once I arrived that they can only put it back on my debit card which was never used to make the transaction in the first place. It’s already been over 24 hours my money has still not been relinquished to my account. I am an experienced musician and have had lessons in the past and by far this was the worst experience.
Hi owner don’t reply to this also
11 5 star ratings and
Horrible customer service! Teacher for piano was unreliable. We live so close to this place so we are disappointed
20. Sam Ash Music Stores

I was looking for a fake book I wanted replaced. They didn’t have it but ordered it for me and it showed up on my doorstep like 3 days later.
I also went in there one time to get my bass electric bass looked at because it was making a crackling sound. The repair guy took something on it apart, put it properly back together. When I asked him what I owed, he said it just needed a part tightened; not to worry about it. I thanked him and slipped him a $5 and told him, well let me buy you a drink.
I’ve only had good experiences at Sam Ashe.
Extereamly helpful staff and a great selection. My daughter wanted a acoustic guitar and they delivered! We had gone to Guitar Center first and didn’t have a great experience. Highly recommend Sam Ash.
Only place I buy my Music needs.
Very helpful guitar department staff.
My husband favorite place! Best deals in town!
Staff was very friendly, work was performed well, pricing seemed fair. I was told about two hours so I left 5 hrs later I called for update and told work not finished but said was almost done.. they called back about 1/2 hour later and said work complete. Picked up my stuff and all was good. I just wished they had told me the actual time they needed.
Went to Sam Ash to buy a $1600 used guitar. Couldn’t even try it out because of beginner guitarists cranking Nirvana almost as loud as the amps would go. No one at Samash asked them to turn down. This continued for well over an hour.
Went in, the guy at reception was pleasant and sent me to the “guitar guy”, I had a bass and a guitar to fix (actually 5 minute jobs top) and was looking for a bit of help.
The guy at the guitar section (had an attitude) tells me there’s a 5 WEEK wait on any repairs. Laughable. I drove down the street to guitar center and had both my instruments fixed in 10 minutes for $15.00.
Save yourself the trouble, “the best in the state” shouldn’t take 5 weeks to work in any job, no matter how big or small it is.
Sam Ash did not do anything to get my bass guitar from Ibanez in the time promised. All they had to do was call over and tell them to 2 day ship. Instead of my ship date being 1 week from time of purchase (standard), it was 7. The employees seemed dumbfounded by the long wait and kept saying sorry, maybe next week (over and over) instead of working for me and making it happen. They did not offer to throw-in a little something for my trouble, I had to ask. And it was nothing really. The employee Sam (who has been there for 7 months or so) said, “You know, we’re not making much off of you, so…” as his excuse for not trying to go above and beyond for this customer. He kept telling me about customers who have had to wait longer than I did, even when they spent $1,000 on a guitar. As though they deserve a trophy for that. I think that’s even worse that Sam Ash wouldn’t work hard for the person paying that much. But EQUALLY, customers should get what they paid for. I cried in the store when I finally picked it up, trying to explain things to Sam and the manager and they legit didn’t act like they cared about me at all. I left defeated, tears in my eyes, and angry. I will never purchase anything from here again.
