Subway sandwitches, pharmacy , everthing a person needs!
Much nicer Walmart than other ones down the coast
Traveling and didn’t prepare for colder weather. They had what we needed. Walmart.
It’s walmart I. Medford so ya know
Hit or miss sometimes on if they have stuff in-stock, but it isnt really this walmarts fault due to where we live it is hard to get shipments in, but the employees and such can definitely step up their game when it comes to checking out customers, they rely to much on self check out, at times I’ve have spent 30+ mins waiting at customer service while 1 person tried to get the line cleared and the managers in yellow jackets just stood around talking, other walmarts they will open a register to clear lines or help customer service. But what can ya do walmart is walmart. Otherwise not bad
Couldn’t order
Too many people
80 people in line to get in. Did not wait.
Absolutely disgusting place, they recently fired my grama for being in the door way not knowing what was going on a shop lifter shoved into her and she puts no hands on him and she falls to the ground giving her a concussion after the matter she is fired, she has worked there since before I was even born sick just sick
2. Starbucks
Address: 450 US-101, Crescent City, CA 95531 , Crescent City , California , United States
The older gentleman working the drive thru is awesome!! Best service we have ever experienced in any Starbucks we have visited.
Great coffee, friendly faces are all you see here. I definitely recommend, great drinks.
Nice place, nice view, comfort, nice staff
Super clean and surprisingly luxurious for a motel. Close to campus.
Very friendly
I don’t dislike this place as much as I’m disappointed with how they’re running it right now. I waited in the drive thru for almost 45 minutes. And it’s not really the workers fault. It’s seriously dumb to have the inside open to order AND online orders AND the drive thru. How can they keep up? My drink wasn’t being made because of all the online orders coming in. They need a better system. Period.
Ridiculous they had no food available to order! If I could give 0 I would!
Extremely rude staff manager should be fired.
3. Smoke Shop
Address: 450 highway 101 north, Crescent City, CA 95531 , Crescent City , California , United States
The employees were very helpful on getting me just what I needed they were awesome.
Quick place to go and get smoking needs..regular prices and clean nice personel
This little shop has a little bit of everything. Full selection of custom glass with a variety of choices for ALL preferences. Make sure to inspect your glass pieces thoroughly before purchasing because they will not exchange or return product once it’s left the store , even if its defective.
Great selection, especially for their size and BEST prices around!
very cheap
Went by today tried to get a couple vape accessories ended up being the wrong parts. Went back tried to get a swap, no swap, no refund. Little chihuahua of a manager threw a fit, got in my face, threw trash at me, mocked me then called the cops & got me trespassed. I’ll be pressing charges on dude. I know i’m not the first one who has had problems with him. GO TO HIGH TIDE VAPE
Wish I could give you 0 stars. Got kicked out for walking into the shop with my girlfriend no body has ever had a problem with it so I assume they just got caught selling to minors one too many times
I was just in the store where I spend hundreds of dollars every month purchasing items. I bought two hype Ultra Vape bars and didn’t touch them before I left because my mom was waiting in the car and she was rushing me when I got home one of them didn’t work I called the store and they just basically said I was screwed. Like I said I spend hundreds of dollars in that store! Not anymore I will take my business elsewhere they just screw themselves out of hundreds of dollars.
4. Redbox
Address: 657 US-101 N, Crescent City, CA 95531 , Crescent City , California , United States
Love Dutch bros the only coffee that can take me up and down the west coast
I always stop here when I’m heading down the coast to Eureka. They are always so nice. You gotta pick up a muffin top, they are the best!
Lindsey’s my favorite barista but entire staff is always friendly and fast!!! They have the longest lines in town and get you through it quickly everytime!!!
Consistent.
Fast, friendly service! It was our first time visiting a Dutch Bros. Our drinks were tasty but very, very sweet! (I had the iced white mocha – pictured is a medium which was very big, imo!)
Only one entrance long lines but it is Dutch brothers so friendly service delicious coffee worth the wait
They make the best drinks in town 🙂
I’m not impressed! I guess they are looking for a younger crowd. Grunge music, seriously caffeinated staff with the inability to listen. Drink that I got was meh.
Not enough options for a diabetic, and not enough time to peruse the menu.
6. McDonald’s
Address: 380 M St, Crescent City, CA 95531 , Crescent City , California , United States
Great food with high standards nationwide. We came here at 10pm since there is literally no place to eat in town at this time besides fast food. But this McDonald’s has great deals like the big Mac bundle and their service is fast. The burgers and nuggets were delicious and their order fulfillment was fast.
The drive thru is quick and responsive most of the time. I love getting a McCoffee before work. My dog knows we are going there and patiently waits for the treat they give dogs.
Best
The burger here was great. I know that it’s McDonald’s but I ve had terrible burgers from a Mickey D’s many a times all dried out or scorched but the double quarter pounder was super tasty and juicy. Perfectly salted! And the fries too. Wish I was in Crescent City now to get one.
Best customer service manager ever. Her name is Linda she was so helpful when my order was wrong. And even handed a fry to my kiddo for the mistake.
Really slow service. Cashier not at window
Very slow! Don’t have people park and deliver to the cars. Truly ridiculous!
If I could give zero Stars I would. I looked up on to see on the nutrition guide what kind of salads they had and picked ones. When I got to our local you’re supposed to go in there McDonald’s I was informed they don’t serve salads because this is McDonald’s. That was my grandson’s birthday so there were approximately 10 of us it was a rather large order the gentleman came over to our table while we were eating in front of the children and told us not to make a mess he doesn’t want to be with anything but please try not to make a mess for him to clean up unbelievable. To top things off I didn’t have a number of called and when it was called he looks at me and said isn’t that your number go get your food . I thank him for informing me and probably went and got my food to which none of the milk for the children were set out for it
Seems to be a homeless Hangout maybe I’ll try Burger King
7. Sylvia’s Attic
Address: 140 G St, Crescent City, CA 95531 , Crescent City , California , United States
This is an Antique store, not a Thrift store— Can’t stress this enough. There is already a big difference between the two. If you see this, then you may already know that antique stores are often a little more pricey than thrift stores. Regardless of this, Sylvia’s attic, being an antique store and all, is not as pricey as MOST antique stores I’ve ever been to. That in itself makes me enjoy going there the most out of any nearby antique store, and there’s quite a bit of space and things that is presented there so you can probably get lost looking at everything. I don’t go as often as I wish I could, but each time I do I always purchase something nice for far less than what it could have been priced for. Anyways, me and my grandma both enjoy going there and the lady has always been nice to us.
Nice place! Lots of books! Lots of collectables ! Nice lady runs the place and is friendly.
Old lady getting it done @sylvia’s
Nice old lady runs this place. TONS of books, antiques & furniture – because she can’t sell them at the prices she’s asking.
I can go to any thrift store and buy the SAME books for $.25 to $1.00 when she has a $3, $5, or even $10 price on it. (In fact, I did – I saw a particular Stephen King book today she had for $10 – I bought THE SAME BOOK, in better condition, a few blocks away at the Purple Cat for $1, 20 minutes later.)
Her pricing is SO out of touch with reality that I won’t be wasting my time here again.
It is an impressive place, if you have time to kill it is worth checking out – but I wouldn’t waste your money here unless you find something you won’t see anywhere else.
Owner was nice. Prices were pretty steep ($3-5 per VHS!) I would have given it 3 stars, but they had government propaganda (CNN) playing loudly.
Run of the mill antique/thrift shop but the prices are ridiculous. The prices the items were bought previously were left on as well. One item bought for .75 was marked at 7 dollars.
I was asked to leave this store due to the fragrance I had on, which I applied the previous day that stuck to my sweeter what i wear all the time. Then I was told that she did not want my kind in her store, and if i did not leave she whould call the police to escort me. I would never refer anybody to this thrift store.
8. Sac’s Thrift Avenue
Address: 1150 9th St, Crescent City, CA 95531 , Crescent City , California , United States
Great little thrift shop. They opened the back room for lots of additional items, and just got a new shipment in to further stock it full. Friendly service.
Sac’s has a collection of quality top of the line choice fashion from all over the state which by far beats the local selection in other thrift stores and sometimes even the local outlets. The Owner, James, is a great person who reflects the kindness and knowledge of fashion that goes with clothing, shoes, and accessories which actually surprised me!! I would, a nd do, recommend this little store to anyone wanting originality, different , casual and/or sophistication to stop in Sac’s first. You will find something you like. Without a doubt. Margaret Penny, customer
They have a great selection of great coats in a newly added back room and they are all half price!
I’ve gotten some great deals on like new things, although recently prices have risen. Great place to shop.
friendly warm environment with a variety of vintage and modern clothes ♡
Nice clothes, kinda limited for other stuff. Good prices
Crescent City needs a decent thrift store!!! This one smelled very poorly, had a high pressure salesman, and they had a common black and pink hoodie that said ‘Las Vegas’ on it listed for $42.00. Not acceptable.
Special grime compared with many thrift stores. Interesting people working there. Woman walked in on me in the dressing room because the formally open curtain being closed didn’t give her a clue that I was in there. Good selection of leather jackets and fair prices but small, dark, and overall unpleasant
Unfriendly. Walked in and not even a greeting. Not a hi. No hello. Maybe she can’t speak but who am I trying to kid? Anyway, it’s not great for business and it shows. Clearly. The only other car in the parking lot probably belonged to the owner/manager/employee on duty. But if you can look past that, there’s a good amount of clothes but lacking in other thrift store essentials (books, movies, electronics). And whatever’s available has clearly been there for a while.
9. Redbox
Address: 475 M St, Crescent City, CA 95531 , Crescent City , California , United States
Purple cat thrift store located down at the Crescent City Harbor every Saturday they have something half price from housewares to clothing to entertainment and every 4th Saturday the whole store is half price
Update 7/19/2021 : its under remodel and closed right now. We checked out this place on an overnight stay in Cresent City and the prices here are great! I was used to so many places overcharging but this is exactly how a thrift shop should be. It’s a little small but they have a little of everything.
Really well organized. Friendly atmosphere, lots to explore. And there are a few very sweet resident kitties hanging around too for extra coziness. Fairly priced.
Like others before me, I, too, noticed an overwhelming odor of cat urine when you enter the store. However, if you can get past that (some people can’t I guess), there are deals to be found.
It’s an okay thrift
store I with money going to the humane society.
Good, smaller thrift store with genuine thrift store pricing. Will be returning for more.
There’s cats.
My Fiancé and I were so excited to see this thrift store but sadly the extreme odor made it next to impossible for us to browse the items for sale… We couldn’t leave soon enough…. Hopefully they can get the smell under control.. otherwise I don’t see how they will attract customers.
The two cats that wander in and out of the store is this place’s most redeeming quality.
11. Enoteca
Address: 960 3rd St, Crescent City, CA 95531 , Crescent City , California , United States
Local hangout .. great food and excellent assortment of draft beers
A nice line up of micro brews, good food, & the atmosphere was quiet; the band box wasn’t active as I was there midweek in the early evening (5-ish). Everything I’ve been to Enoteca, it’s been a good experience.
Good food
great food
Ok
On two separate occasions the wait staff did not serve the meal with what was listed as on the menu. Has to ask for it. Took a long time. Furniture is uncomfortable.
Food was okay. Fries were not done well and another table returned onion rings. TERRIBLE service.
Covid protocol = FAIL. This is not really a restaurant, more like a local dive bar. I love a good dive bar, but this was not a GOOD dive bar. None of the staff had on masks none of the patrons. The tables that were set aside for social distancing got filled up as soon as people walk through the door. In addition they were out of almost all of their in tap beers. The food was just barely okay. I had a terrible meatloaf sandwich. Better and safer choices.
12. Verizon
Address: 1302 2nd St, Crescent City, CA 95531 , Crescent City , California , United States
Jacob worked efficiently and with a good attitude. Though I needed a new phone… I was in and out in a short amount of time. Great help.
Fine.
Went in to transfer pictures to my new phone and the experience was quick and painless. William was knowledgeable and friendly. Was in and out in under 20 mins!!
If ever there is a problem, management takes time to work it out with the customer and I appreciate that
Covid precautions in place. My questions answered.
Customer service was free flowing and fun. I got help with everything I needed
Twice now the guy that took my payment failed to post it, and I lost service until I went BACK to the store and waited over half an hour for the guy to stop trying to hit on a young woman who was interested in buying a new phone and ask why I was there. I explained the situation, and at first he laughed and asked who helped me. When I said it was him, he stopped laughing, but still took another half hour to figure out how to get my service back on. Once was one thing, twice was too much. I switched to US Cellular, which has much better coverage and service, and far less smarmy employees. Verizon sucks.
Dissapointing. After receiving “service” at this store, my business account, plans and hardware were throughly messed up. I’ve had to call into Verizon Tech Support to get errors corrected, plans fixed and new SIM cards activated. Poor customer service. If you have a business account, do not go to this location. So much time wasted and on my dime.
I purchased a tablet from this Verizon store because the employee I spoke to encouraged me to do so . It didn’t perform the way I wanted it to, so since the employee said I could return the item in 14 days and have all my money returned to me I went back the following day (today) and was charged $20.00 for the time the employee spent “working “ with me. Seriously? How about my time? The employee should have told me, “there’s going to be a charge no matter what,” instead of just charging me. Dissatisfied? Of course, a deals a deal. You say a person gets a full refund, that’s what it should be.
13. Rite Aid
Address: 575 M St, Crescent City, CA 95531 , Crescent City , California , United States
Holiday Music and kind. DMV is harassing me again. Identity thief is high.
Clean. No waiting.
I lovr the pharmacy. These ppl are just awesome.
Pharmacy staff is always very helpful, knowledgeable and kind, been a going to rite aid pharmacy for 7 yrs
I stayed in C. C. for 5 days and really enjoyed this Rite Aid. Easy in and out, very nice staff with helpful local information. Also, very convenient to the Safeway right nearby.
The pharmacist is great he is kind and attentive. However there is one clerk/ cashier in the pharmacy department that is so rude. I go in every single month for my diabetic medication. I waited in line for a half hour I finally make it to the register Iris tells me to sit in the waiting area another 20 minutes. For what I’m not sure I called to have everything ready hours prior to coming in. I have prescription cards I asked her to apply she tells me go and sit down. Im like omg! Then she throws my cards down at the window and walks away. I get up and go to the register and say these are mine correct? I go over to the drop off window to complain to the pharmacist. The crazy woman hears me and screams ITS RIGHT HERE ITS READY! REALLY! I was so embarrassed! This attitude happens every single time with this woman. I complained to the pharmacist he said next time ask for someone else to help you. Why is this rude woman allowed to represent rite aid? She’s horrible! It stresses me out every month. I really like rite aid i guess I’ll have to switch just to avoid this rude woman.
Seemed very helpful in person and friendly. But they NEVER answer the phone, doesn’t matter Pharmacy or general store line. After 2 days of trying to call them I still have not gotten through to anyone in the pharmacy regarding a prescription.
Horribly inconsistent service, literally half of my refills have been delayed (currently looking forward to a weekend of hot flashes and body aches due to this), other times can only get needles or medicine but not both. Recently a family member went for a prescription, had to tell the pharmacist 3 times and had to show her the message from the store that said it was ready before she was able to find it.
Visiting in Crescent City. Went to check out and wasnt asked any customer service questions. No interaction at all. Had to wait to be helped because employees were too busy talking to one another. Awful customer service. Definitely would rather have dealt with a bad self checkout.
14. St. Vincent de Paul Society
Address: 1440 Parkway Dr, Crescent City, CA 95531 , Crescent City , California , United States
Always plenty to choose from and reasonable prices!
Best place to get clothes and other used things
This is a great local thrift store. Friendly people and good deals.
Prices are good. People who work there are very kind and helpful.
>it was okay.
I’d rate them higher but they take NO credit cards and they have an $8 minimum to use a debit card.
I have been stopping in this thrift store for years. Every time I drive through Florence. I’ve always been able to put my two chihuahuas inside the shopping cart and take them inside the store with me. But we got kicked out. She said it was a new policy. No dogs allowed. I will never shop there again. Because I do not leave my dogs in the car. I will not risk them dying of heat stroke.
The food pantry people are very rude, scrutinizing, and treat you in such an inhumane manner as if you were stripped of your dignity for seeking help there. Not worth the food, I’d rather be hungry on the streets than be treated that way again.
15. Leos World Dispensary
Address: 265 L St, Crescent City, CA 95531 , Crescent City , California , United States
Super nice staff and really bad a** stuff. Any time I’ve had any problems with anything (which is only been 2 maybe 3×’s) she’s been more than happy to make it right!! I’ve been very satisfied so far with everything and my son thinks it’s the coolest place ever !! Lol.
Cool little store
I come from Oregon where we can look at and smell the buds we purchase prior to laying out cash. Here that was not an option. I took a good guess and bought one pre-roll that was supposed to be very high THC content. I was not happy whatsoever with it. Fortunately I always bring some of my own indoor grow with me when I’m traveling so things turned out okay
The guy checking IDs was pretty cool, but the bud tender was not the nicest in the world. I certainly would never come back here but appreciate all of you that live here that like the place.
Peace
The lady is really helpful amd nice
Worst dispensary in town, beware.. steer clear of this establishment and location. Horrible prices, horrible attitude, building stinks inside.. all the pot is garbage, expensive and not worthy..I don’t know why they even started a dispensary here, the glass is from China, bought a 80$ pipe it busted first night.. don’t buy from here.
16. Parkway Drive Antiques
Address: 1650 Parkway Dr, Crescent City, CA 95531 , Crescent City , California , United States
Excellent Antique store! Great selection of Paintings by local artists, and loads of collectibles.
This photo is taken on Railroad street as it passes over Hwy 101.
The actual storefront is farther north on Parkway, West side of the street. There are usually flags and signs, but you can’t actually see the store until you pass the driveway for it…
Owner is a nice woman 🙂
Very friendly owner ! Lots of stuff
17. C C Diner & Ice Cream
Address: 1319 Northcrest Dr, Crescent City, CA 95531 , Crescent City , California , United States
The food is great. The service was awesome . With great atmosphere
Great friendly place
Nice little restaurant. Better than the typical fast food.
As someone who has family owned restaurants and has worked in the business myself, the food was good but the burger was Extremely greasy and way overcooked. There is no good reason for a burger to be gushing grease on top of being overcooked.
For those who like sweet potato fries, the ones served here are very good.
Food really good staff is a little understaffed when we went.
Very good burgers. Higher quality than most diners.
I couldn’t even get the chance to eat their food because when I called to order, the young lady on the phone was so rude and impatient. I asked what was their signature burger and lady responded with, “you can go on facebook and look at our menu you”. Couldnt even answer a simple question then when I asked if they were doing curbside pickup the lady said “yeah but you can just come inside yourself”. I hope the owners take action against their rude employee.
Would give them a 5 but the place was nasty dirty. the floor under the stove and across the floor was complete disgusting. I could see it from paying at the counter.. Food allover the floor and under the stove. It looked Like when they dropped food they just left it and possible even kicked it under the stove . Meatball looking thing , fries and more. Smorgasbord for what I image has to be a infestation because one cannot have that much food on the ground and not have some sort of infestation.. I just gave them a second chance and I get all lettuce blt. Only half my sandwich had tomatoes and I had one slice if bacon per slice of sandwich. Bacon was extreamly burnt and just awful… this sand witch was God awful. I asked for avocado and got no avocado. Never again. Not even if it’s the best icecream in town.
You got to be kidding me, order took forever and it was wrong. So had to wait even longer. The food wasnt even worth the wait. If you think it is good food, you need to eat better.
18. Elk Valley Casino
Address: 2021 Elk Ranch Road, Crescent City, CA 95531 , Crescent City , California , United States
I don’t gamble much but I use casino for parking for my 33′ camper. This place has a gravel parking for RV in tje back side of the casino and the attendants told me that I might see some elks. Well I sew cows but elks. Anyway, I spend good night sleep there.
People were very nice. I didn’t win though lol
Had a nice experience, except we lost
Good Eats
It took an hour and a 1/2 to get a table for lunch. There were several empty tables details so we don’t know why it took so long. The food tasted All right but you have to flag the waitress down if you need something else… They don’t just come to your table and ask you if you need anything.
Just like any casino
Really unimpressed. No restaurant, and a food truck that’s only there Thursday through Monday?! And what’s with the no backpack policy? This place must be pretty ghetto. From the outside it looks like a tin barn. Waste of a 30-minute detour for sure.
Full of crackheads
The bar staff in this casino could stand to be more friendly and make their drinks faster, with making several at a time so more people get served. When I ran a tab for my drinks for the night, I had 3 pending charges that totaled $165 that was held from my bank funds when I only spent $36.75. That doesn’t sit well for me since I cashed out once at the end of the night.
19. 2nd St. Gallery
Address: 1228 2nd St, Crescent City, CA 95531 , Crescent City , California , United States
Well organized with a lot of variety and interesting exhibits. The staff seemed very friendly and happy to host a variety of events. All around a delightful and pleasant experience.
I’m one of the officers BUT this place is the best. A co-op of beautiful art and wonderful people
Nice music
20. Port O’Pints Brewing Co.
Address: 1215 Northcrest Dr, Crescent City, CA 95531 , Crescent City , California , United States
Genial – viele Hausbiere und gute Snacks. Die Menschen sind faszinierend offen – ein wahnsinnig toller Platz!
What and amazing place to be! My brother and I where just passing by on our way to Seattle and decided to have a beer.. I found this place thru google, oh wow.. What a great decision, we made new friends (Case and Terri) who are locals here, they really help us to have a good time. Staff is fantastic!! Thanks to Ayashe and Jeff for the really good time also!
Brilliant Pub and brewery! Loads of atmosphere, exceptionally friendly service and great advice on beer and all things Californinan.. Sean is really well informed and friendly.. their beers deserve the awards they have won.. best brewery on town. Food was fun and Irish Nachos were really good. The establishment is well frequented by locals. Go there already!
Its very close knit bar and brewery between the ownership and its patrons. You’ll find this place has a more cozy community feel. By contrast, the other brewery in town SeaQuake, is more touristy, more wide open, and more corporate feeling. Port O’Pints has a food menu, but its very limited in choices and is not available every day. They do allow you to bring in food, or have it delivered. There is live music here.
The craft beer here is as good as those offered at SeaQuake, but seems to be more creative. Port O’Pints seems to enjoy more artisan freedom whereas SeaQuake tends to limit itself towards what beer sells better. Port O’Pints offers more seasonal releases than SeaQuake.
By contrast, the food offered at Port O’Pints is not as good as that at SeaQuake. Port O’Pints tends to look and taste as if cheap ingredients were just thrown together. I’d recommend having the local Thai delivery, its actually a popular choice here.
Great pub. Great atmosphere. Great music. Great staff though admittedly was only the one bartender(ess) there.
I wont ever get the $16 ‘brewben’ reuben sandwich again (plenty meat but was kind of dry and dunno what was up with the bread, had a texture of super condensed wonder bread, weird).
Didnt get the $12 mac and cheese, saw it on a neighboring table and looked like a tiny portion. (Maybe it was a special menu item, but still). Corned beef tacos looked fun but had to try to reuben.
Cider on tap, good for me as im not a beer guy, but they make and serve a bunch of their own beers on tap.
Nice little Irish pub/brewery. Stopped on the way north after a hike in the Redwoods before heading back to camp on a Monday afternoon. The IPA and pretzel bites were tasty. The taptender was super stressed out and borderline rude…definitely not welcoming despite our generous tip and helpful attitude. Not sure if they just want to see locals or what, but YMMV.
Food was decent and beer was good. Couldn’t enjoy or finish my dinner with the ungodly amount of gnats hovering my table. Coming from Washington and looking for a comfort food dinner spot, I am utterly disappointed.
I was very excited to visit here. I researched the best places in Crescent City before my trip here. This came up as one of the best. Unfortunately my experience was less than ideal. Upon walking in, we were not greeted, we stood at the bar for approximately 7 minutes. During this time we were never acknowledged. I witnessed both cooks in the back prepping food without masks or gloves, one even pulled money out of his pocket and handled it while prepping food. Another couple walked in several minutes after we had been there. They appeared to be friends with staff as one of the kitchen staff came out and made small talk. The female bartender served them before acknowledging our presence. The male bartender was likewise inattentive and never acknowledged our presence either. Unfortunately that was enough for me to take my money elsewhere. I was very excited to visit this establishment, it’s truly unfortunate that the service was terrible. I was very disappointed.
We did not get the feeling that this place was a brewery. Appeared to be more of a local dive bar.
The two IPAs that were on tap, weren’t great but not awful. (I’m a huge IPA guy so not saying that because I don’t like IPAs)
The food was decent and hot when we received it. Definitely bar/pub food and nothing more.
Staff friendly. The “brewery”/location gave us more of a feeling of a dive bar and spot for the local drinkers. Was loud and vulgar most of the time we were in there. Not a great family environment.
