Loved the vibes of this record store. Things were very well organized with labels, but there were little areas in each letter section that you could “dig” and see what you could find! An awesome selection of new and used vinyls. The owner is so so sweet and the staff is always knowledgeable and amazing.
Purchased three new vinyls today and am super excited to go home and listen!
Great variety and knowledgable staff. Always love coming here.
I was visiting Daytona with my family this weekend from Palm Bay and decided to drop into Atlantic Sounds. No only was their stock really impressive, but the owner was super friendly and patient with helping look up different albums I was looking for. I not only found two punk album for my collection that were on my must get list, but they were pressed in varient color vinyl and very reasonably priced. Thanks so much!!!
Cool vintage feel, great selection of vintage vinyl, their newer/modern vinyl selection is quite small, otherwise a cool store
Great selection and tons to go through, you will find something you’ve been looking for. BUT, I went in there and about 15 minutes later I was having a hard time breathing due to in store smoking by the employees. Great selection, nasty environment.
One of the better music stores I have visited of late.
Great selection of new and used record’s.
CDs were a bit pricy IMHO but I’m spoiled by charity shop giveaway pricing on these.
Will visit again!
Absolutely DON’T take anything to be refurbished by that knucklehead Jeff who works(or doesn’t work) out of the back of the store. This barefoot, misplaced hippie had my tape deck for a month on the premise that he would troubleshoot the problem and fix it. Didn’t even look at it and tried to tell me that he had some Bikeweek things come in and had to push mine back. Then he lied and tried to tell me he did in fact look at the deck. Any reputable place of business would never have an idiot like that employed in their store. What a joke!
Well. After visiting hundreds of record stores over the years I was due to have a bad experience eventually.
When I arrived there was a young guy and older gentleman working up front. They both greeted me and were very pleasant with the typical “if we can help just let us know”. That’s always nice.
I went back to the jazz and soul area and was approached by an old guy, longer grey hair, who asked what I was looking for. Just like I would always do, I let him know I was just browsing and not looking for anything in particular. I was digging in a bin under one of the tables and he let me know I wasn’t going to find what I was looking for there. I thought it was odd but figured it wouldn’t go beyond that brief encounter. As I’m flipping thru records I can feel this mouth breather behind me watching. He once again feels the need to chime in with “If you just tell me what your looking for I can tell you that you won’t find it down there”. Thanks bud, that’s welcoming. I was just trying to look at records.
The bins were tightly packed so I was pulling a few out of the fronts so I could flip through the bins. Old guy at this point is still breathing down my neck complaining about how people make a mess and throw records all over. I’m about as quiet and respectful as a person as you could imagine and just don’t understand why this guy had it out for me. It was really just a bizarre experience.
I feel kind of bad leaving a negative review because the rest of the staff was so helpful and nice, and I feel the guy that harassed me might have not been all there in the head (maybe early stages of dementia?) But I want any potential future customers to be aware of this creeper if possible.
There’s too many awesome record stores in the area to deal with that.
I love this place.
2. Total Entertainment Music Store
Address: 501 W International Speedway Blvd, Daytona Beach, FL 32114 , Daytona Beach , Florida , United States
Great selection. Staff aren’t too douchy. Kate is amazing. Great pedal selection…really…not kidding. Lack of top end amps but some great guitars. Tons of stuff for every level of musician. Awesome acoustic room.
Great place to get music gear!
I feel like a kid in a candy store when I’m here. Love the selection and staff
Not bad
These guys are nice guys and they know guitars
Very patient and helpful staff. Prices are near fair at this location as well. Very organized and clean facility.
This place has a fair selection of equipment but jerks for salespeople. Signs like “Limit your demo to 5 mins” are absurd for a serious player about to drop $2,500 on a guitar.
I called to have a lyre held for my son’s upcoming event. I told them my name and I’d pick it up after work, since it was the last one left. Instead, they sold it to someone else!!! When I called to voice my issue, whomever I spoke to said he was sorry and that was my prerogative to go somewhere else. That’s the thanks I get for shopping local. They just lost my business and everyone else I come into contact with (which is a lot of people in my profession). If you say you will hold it, you should do so. Bad business practice and very unprofessional. It is a shame small businesses are closing due to places like amazon, but this is a prime example why.
In response, your version of events is completely false to cover your own reputation. I called and the business was about to close in ten minutes. I was told when you reopened and I left my full name. I also called back when you reopened and informed them my husband would pick it up that day. He showed up THAT VERY DAY and it was sold. Your version of events is incorrect sir. Your excuses won’t help your poor business practice. Maybe try taking some accountability for wasting our time and offer a sincere apology or resolution? I can’t imagine how you treat customers who actually have a bigger concern or complaint at your establishment. Being rude, unethical, and a blatantly lying about the events just to cover your own shortcomings that led to my review just proves what kind of person you are. I’m more than happy to spend our money somewhere else sir.
After being hung up on, I called back to continue asking questions about a certain product. Employee was short and unhelpful
3. Guitar Center
Address: 220 Daytona Blvd Suite B-200, Daytona Beach, FL 32114 , Daytona Beach , Florida , United States
Great helpful staff. My son loves taking his guitar lessons with Mr Scott.
Found all my husbands Christmas stocking stuffers here. Sales associate Montana was super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. My guitar playing guy was a happy man! Thanks guys☺
Very helpful staff, found what I wanted.
Another big box instrument store. No, Rickenbacker’s… 🙁
There acoustic guitar selection is about what is found in the big box arena. Lots of shiny dull sounding lower to middle priced stuff. The big names like Taylor, Martin there too, even saw a guild.
Nylon cross over and classical here too. Cordoba though main stream seems to always offer a decent sound at the price point. Ramirez but lower end stuff. And Chinese brands which can surprise a player if willing to ignore branding. And some Japanese brands like ibenez and Alvarez both can surprise. Every person has their own ear for what sounds good. The experienced player knows strings, set up and tunings play a role with playability tone and overall sound. Yet nothing can beat solid wood sound boards and good designed internal bracing. Found several bodies with bracing that rattled. Acoustics settle in the more they are played. But loose bracing never pans out.
Don’t know if this store has an in house luthier? Most folks buying at these prices aren’t concerned about a set up or bother replacing the dull strings the factories put on most products. this is like other big box stores. They have what they have and offer order in if needed. We only looked at guitars…but this place offers brass, orchestra strings, drums and more. The guitar store in Winter Park had a separate acoustic room for classical guitar which is VERY nice.!!
We like to visit just to kill time. Did buy a set of classical strings. And since our first visit they have stocked the Stubb’s capo…
Come on down and check the place out….
Smaller store. Not much selection
I didn’t have time to see everything. Wish I could have had more time. The books and magazines could have been better displayed. (Maybe their own area). Still all was injoyable. I will be back.
Second time I come to store and ask about their price match policy. Both times they (store manager) have refused to price match a major retailer. I’m in the market for two decent speakers and found them online for $200 less each. Same model, I was not asking them to price match a used unit. Manager there was no help, as soon as I mentioned price match he passed me to another agent and assisted other customers and the agent was more confused then I was.
I now have visited Sam Ash and without a question they price matched the two speakers and made me feel welcome. Too bad my local guitar center could not do the same.
Poor experience the manager Chris was acting rude towards customers kicked me out for no reason. I spent over 8 grand on equipment and this is how they treat us ?Don’t waste your time coming here. Shop Sam ash all the way !
The new manager Evan is a tool. Everyone who worked there before covid was the original staff, Very helpful and honest, Very good people. And the new manager fired everybody in the middle of the pandemic with no notice. Now this guitar center is just like any other corporate GC. Really pushy most staff didn’t know what they were talking about. Someone sucked the soul right out of this music store. Go to Total Entertainment for a bigger selection of gear including left handed instruments and sales people who know what they talk about.
4. Vintage Gold Music
Address: 2987 Bellevue Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32124 , Daytona Beach , Florida , United States
Had a simple repair done on my vintage Strat. Eric handled it in no time flat. Nice job! Also had a switch issue in my Les Paul. Again, problem solved! I highly recommend Sunland guitars for any work needed. Eric is prompt and honest about his abilities. Check them out!
Brought another guitar to Erik, and once again he did a great job on it. Great to be able to wait while he does his work, rather than dropping it off for a day or two. My guitar plays perfectly. Thanks again Erik!
Excellent experience. Loved the organized repair format. Erik was super efficient and knowledgeable. In no time, restored my guitar to its former glory. Thanks again.
Very prompt and professional help. Definitely would recommend a visit. Don’t throw out that old guitar, these guys can fix it up for you!

I’ve shopped the pawn shops in the area and this one is, by far, the best. There’s a wide selection, employees are extremely friendly, and prices are reasonable. Great place!
The quickest cheapest drum sticks in town LEE HOOKED ME UP
Great Place… Cool Workers I’ll Definitely Be Back
Throughout my time in Daytona I’ve done plenty of shopping here, from Xbox, to Rifles, they take care of customers and will work a price to make a sale.
Thank you for the call !
If u want a guitar they have a large choice and amps and other electric tonic’s..#musiclover
Called you see if they had somthing guy didn’t even bother to look just was very rude about it!!! I will not be taking my business here ever!! Not the way to treat would be costumers!!!
Advertise they deal in quality instruments. They have no clue about quality or vintage instruments. Everything I saw there were cheap Japanese knock offs or low quality Mexican knockoffs . Or just cheap low end instruments. Waste of time.
I looked for a necklace. And the man said round $300 but it was verme’ gold over silver! I feel that your race matters I saw the favoritism and disposition that they treated Caucasians verses African Americans.
11. Feral Note Studios
Address: 225 Carswell Ave unit b, Holly Hill, FL 32117 , Daytona Beach , Florida , United States
Killer spot great vibes love the showcase set up. Great place for streaming and getting a promo video for your band. Sweet owners that are in the I’m entertainment industry. Thick soundboard room walls. Very clean great internet. Recording and rehearsal in style! Very impressed can’t wait to go back!
It feels like home and I plan to keep it that way. Great place and great people.
12. Rainbow Records
Address: 2900 S Nova Rd APT 2, South Daytona, FL 32119 , Daytona Beach , Florida , United States
Jeff is a real stand up guy. Will help you with anything and let you know if there is valuecin equipment and repairs. His envenrory of vinyl is out of this world. If you are looking for vinyl at a great price go see Jeff and his team.
Owner was very friendly and knowledgeable
Great service, good prices, and they don’t sell junk.
Nice set up with stock divided and alphabetically sorted. Owner was welcoming and knowledgeable. Mostly vintage used material but well worth a visit.
Un poco elevado los precios de los vinilos, pero buenas cosas
Extremely depressing atmosphere, no air circulation at all, and had a smell that I cant really describe. Whoever was tending the register at the time was fine though, I didn’t really think they had bad customer service or anything. It just had a very unwelcoming feel to it.
Another sad example of overpriced “vinyl revival” store.
Even the CDs were silly priced.
Prices are kinda high.
13. HEAVILY MEDICATED PRODUCTIONS LLC
Address: 900 S Peninsula Dr, Daytona Beach, FL 32118 , Daytona Beach , Florida , United States
Cool little shop jammed full of nice gear, several higher end kits.
Dig it.
Daytona Beach Drum Center is THE place if you’re looking for anything related to drums and percussion. Owner Dan Grabski is awesome. We were looking for a mid-level kit to round out a music room in our new home. Dan listened to us, walked us through a number of options, and put together a kit that’s perfect for our skill level and the sound we’re looking for.
This is absolutely the place to visit if you’re just starting out, have a little experience or know exactly what you’re looking for.
Great staff
Many drums for sale. Knowledgeable sales people.
Small store but plenty of stock. New and used kits, accessories, knowledge salesperson. Would have given 5 stars but no electronic kits in inventory and no space for a kit to be setup. Some stores let you play on one. Overall, good place. Fair prices and a couple really good deals.
Great place to buy music needs
We may would have given this place 5 stars if they were actually open. We have been here since Sunday and have been every day since (not including Wednesday because they’re closed) and still have yet to see an open sign.
