I’m just getting into playing guitar and had three new guitars in need of professional setup. Was getting the run around from the store I bought them and I was fortunate enough to find Tweed’s. Matt was and is awesome! He was able to get my guitars setup on the same day and did a phenomenal job! The store has this very welcoming aura in addition to Matt’s friendly and down to earth demeanor, you know your equipment is in great hands. Definitely will be a repeat customer, if you’re looking for an amazing music store experience….look no further than Tweed. Highly recommend over any big brand store in the area.
Just an honest to goodness guitar shop with the best damn luthier in the river region for repairs! Matt approaches each guitar as he would his own and his attention to detail is phenomenal. He just re fretted my 65 Fender Mustang and its never played better!
I’ve never been to a guitar shop I like more than tweed. Matt’s knowledge and skill as a luthier Is incredible. I’ve had 5 guitars setup at this shop and they always come out perfectly. Matt has always been friendly and helpful regarding any questions or advice I need, and has never tried to up-charge or oversell me. If you’re looking for a great deal on a guitar, I’d also recommend stopping by. I’ve bought both an electric and acoustic here, and have gotten a great deal on both.
Very cool place.
3. Lisenby’s Music Shop
Address: 831 S Memorial Dr, Prattville, AL 36067 , Deatsville , Alabama , United States
Absolutely love these guys. These guys are very kind and will help you with anything you need musically. And if they can’t (which is very rare) they will point you to those who can help. Great prices and even better people.
Best music shop in town! So much here at the store. The owner, Lance, is a great guy, I get all my guitar gear from him. Recommend to any fellow musicians in Prattville.
Excellent service and very good price and guaranty recommend!!
Lance and Tracy are nice folks. They have a good selection of strings and accessories. Neat place for obscure instruments.

It’s the box great movies good prices 4k coming soon.
It’s redbox, lol
Have you heard this saying…If momma is not happy then I am not happy.
We have ordered pizza from this company many times but due to the cost for a pizza hut pizza we have cut back on purchasing. On top of that my wife ordered pizza from this company and was not satisfied of service.
WELL???
6. 1Latham Enterprise
Address: 4420 Coosada Rd, Millbrook, AL 36054 , Deatsville , Alabama , United States
Redbox has lokts of games and movies to choose from at a very reasonable price. I Love how they have new movies available (after they show @theater) and we can watch them for a a fraction of what it would cost us to see in the theater.
I love redbox but they usually are out of stock on a lot
Convenient and great rental prices!!
9. Art’s Music Shop, Inc
Address: 3030 Eastern Blvd, Montgomery, AL 36116 , Deatsville , Alabama , United States
Love this place. I just started to play the violin and whenever I had a problem with it, they fixed the violin (like putting up the bridge, tuning it, showing me how to use it etc) ALL for free! It’s a great store, I love the architecture of it as well and how the prices are so low!!
Excellent service, Incredible caring employees….Go check these guys out!
I love this music store. I have shopped here for years as a music teacher. The staff is friendly and very helpful.
Great staff, very helpful, quick in and out service. Easy to find!
Good place to buy musical instruments.
The level of customer service you receive really depends on who you speak to at the company. Some do not understand customer service while others go above and beyond to help you out.
Very nice store but wasn’t able to find what I needed
They really price gouge parents of high school band kids. My daughter needed a clarinet. The salesman convinced me that for $90/month she could have a durable, great sounding, top-of-the-line instrument. Well she got to play it for 1 season because of Covid-19 causing cancellation of most of the events. So basically she got a couple months of usage and I had to pay on the thing for years, amounting to about $4000. Then they offered me $400 to buy back the clarinet that was still in pristine excellent condition. I probably would have taken $1500, but I think they could have offered at least $2000 since they can easily resell the instrument. To add insult to injury they made me pay $50 to ship it back to our house after it took them almost 2 weeks to appraise it at the store 3 hours from here in Mobile because I rejected the offer for $400. If anyone needs a nice wooden clarinet, find me on FB and message me. I’ll give you a much better deal than Art’s.
Completely ridiculous prices for violin strings! The only reason they’re getting two stars is because they weren’t rude about it. $100 for a set of dominants.
Johnson String Instruments sells custom sets of dominant A, D, and G with your choice of e for $76.
Amazon charges $54 for a set of dominants. About half of what Art’s was asking.
I was traveling and wanted a spare set of strings in case one on my instrument broke- I decided to just risk it. Do you people have any respect for working professional musicians or are you just trying to extract as much money as possible from witless amateurs and students who come to your shop?? Shame on you.
10. Bailey Brothers Music Company
Address: 231 E Jefferson St, Montgomery, AL 36104 , Deatsville , Alabama , United States
As always was very satisfied with my sales and service with Bailey Brothers Music. Purchased an Ibanez Artwood series’s acoustic, and Fender Strat Special to include a Peavey Envoy amp. Will be purchasing many more in the future.
Bailey’s never disappoints. The question is can you get out without buying something awesome!!
Awesome service. Very helpful. Great guys. I will visit again and recommend to others.
The manager was very helpful & the prices were very reasonable on what we were looking for!
Lots of instruments. Knowledgeable staff who are willing to help. Try here before you go to guitar center. Be warned seems like some of their prices are kind of high.
Told the repair guy I was on my way. When I got there he had left. I was going to wait until the two employees I talked to just laughed instead of apologizing. I went to Lisenby’s in Prattville and they took care of everything.
I have supported Bailey Bros. since I was a kid, but it’s time for the Montgomery store to be put out of its misery.
I usually try and call in before I go into the store and these guys usually sound like they don’t really have time for that. Quick to get off the phone, I ask a question and they respond with one word and are very blunt and just overall just seem to be uninterested in what you as the customer wants unless you’re trying to buy.
