Small but a great music store. Employees are happy and helpful. I will be back.
The only music shop in Decatur
I just went in here for the first time today to get a guitar repair done. They originally said it would be done by tuesday but then they just did it today instead. Very nice people and very quick to help you with what you need. I will definitely be coming back here in the future.
Good place to check out some instruments. Bought a Fender Zabrano a few yrs back, great guitar.
Staff is super helpful
Little out of place win I went and ask about a instrument
Exelente
Rude did not want to wait on customer like it was bothering them
There’s one guy there (Chet ? Chester?) who is really nice. The older gentleman comes across like he’d rather be in his office or something rather than dealing with the public. Seems he can’t keep young and talented help either, which may also be a result of his extremely unapproachable personality. I agree with the other reviewer … Decatur needs another music store.
It’s music for crying out loud … the atmosphere does not lend itself to the encouragement of instrument try out. It always seems so cold and uninviting. Not to mention that the selection is poor. No used instruments either.
2. Urban Atlas
Address: 219A 2nd Ave SE, Decatur, AL 35601 , Decatur , Alabama , United States
Urban atlas is my favorite place in Decatur! I visit here at least once a week, and I always leave with at least 1 thing! They have the coolest records, crystals, art, plants, and so much more! A must see place if you’re in Decatur!
Such a great calm environment to be in to get away from the chaos. Love how it’s a small business that sales their own things but also like local artists too!!!
Great place.. Great environment.. Great prices
Always love stopping in here when I am in Decatur! The teas are made with a french press which is so incredibly cool and unlike other coffee shops near Huntsville! Plus the selection is so cool!! Would recommend coming by. Only knocking a star because since post-COVID i havent seen anyone wear a mask.
Great record store. Nice tiny little shop found some great punk and metal here and a lot of stuff I have never seen on vinyl before. Wish I had brought more money because I would have a bunch of records to bring home. Service is also extremely nice.
Cute store but I’ll never shop here again. I was given a gift card for Christmas, which was purchased mid-December, and didn’t realize it had an expiration date. This wouldn’t have been a problem, except the expiration date was April 1st, a mere four months after it was purchased. The problem isn’t the expiration date itself, it’s the fact that it’s not even six months out + we’re in the middle of a global pandemic. It’s not the easiest to get out and use gift cards at the moment. According to the store owner, the money “can’t be held that long” as it’s “unfair to others who sell in the store,” despite the fact that the gift card was paid for, in cash, and should be treated as if it’s cash. This is bad business practice and has turned me off as a customer.
