Chuck was fun to shoot the breeze with. Certainly knows a thing or two. Hooked me up with some cheap guitar tuners when all I needed was two. Stand-up guy. I’ll give him my business again.
Chuck was awesome to talk with and showed me a variety of Electric Guitars and helped me find out specifically what I was looking for, He hooked me up with a deal JBP Guitar, Amp + Cord for a solid price. Sure he may not be here or have it open all the time but the owner Chuck is a musician himself and we are known to be busy doing other things instead of working 9 – 5’s so cut him some slack, Other than that if you want a Guitar and some knowledge while shopping this is the place to go. Friendly, Professional, and Offers Deals. Highly Recommend this place.
He is really helpful and friendly, He’ll order the thing your looking for if he doesn’t have have in stock. Also there’s a good selection of Guitars and drum heads.
Business is permanently closed
Bad customer service.
This place seems to be open at the owner whim. I stopped by many times and found them closed with a sign that tells the hours, to buy simple things and they say we can order it from the internet. (so can I) They have no stock. I’d avoid this place if you are looking for any equipment.
2. River City Music
Address: 2164 McCulloch Blvd N # B, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 , Desert Hills , Arizona , United States
Best music store in Havasu. Eric always takes care of his customers and the deals are amazing. Highly recommend.
Went in looking for a new guitar and Eric had helped me find exactly what I was looking for. The guitars a reasonably priced as well.
Nice little store Father and Son are real cool fair prices
Lucky to have a music store in town
Very helpful and able to fix my problem.
this music shop has some of the worst service I have ever had to deal with at any music shop they don’t do things in a timely manner example I dropped off my guitar for a simple tuning and intonation set up and they had my guitar for over a week and it still wasn’t done completely and this isn’t the first time I have had service problems with River City music here in lake Havasu Arizona so please take my advice and find a different shop for your musical needs hope everyone has a glorious day today happy late new years

Shop here almost everyday. Since it is the only store here in Lake Havasu that has all of my needs at one place.
It’s a Walmart. If the could get their employees off their cellphones and stop moving EVERYTHING every night that’d be great!
Clean and helpful
It’s Walmart…what else can one really say. I seem to spend more money than I planned to because I am always finding great deals (LOL). I do not purchase the “fresh meat” as I have a personal hang up. I do I have a complaint though (that’s why 4 stars) I have NEVER seen enough check outs open. I made it a point to shop later in the evening thinking I would be checking out faster. WRONG!! ONE check out open. ONLY ONE OPEN…who does that? Self check out was closed. I wasn’t the only person irritated standing in line…and if someone was to start a “open another check out” chant I’m sure an ugly event would of occurred. Of course just as I placed my items on the check out conveyor-belt (been waiting for that special moment for a GOOD 17 minutes) did a gal with a yellow vest take a few customers to check out. Sigh.
Have to check myself out and Walmart’s not cheap anymore. They replaced the cashier with someone that stands there and tells you goodbye. Seems nonsensical. Also many of the older female associates very irritable. One even walked over to me and tried to pick a fight with me. Manager is nice and helpful. Its a miracle she gets some of them to do any work.
I need to get an oil change. But I realize I can not call this Walmart to see if they have a tire and lube department, or to see if they can squeeze we in tomorrow, since no one answers the phone at this Walmart.
The cell phone department is very decieving.they don’t tell the truth because they are not wal Mart employees…I bought a cell phone and minutes card with the help of someone in the department.i asked about returning it when I bought it and was told I could as long as I didn’t use it…well I didn’t use the phone or minutes card which didn’t match up and was useless, because of the mistake of the person who helped me out. Unknown to me there is a no return policy on minutes card and was refused a refundable amount of purchase..I had to speak with the manager of the store to get my refund which was not very pleasant conversation…I. Am a senior citizen and I was treated very disrespectful because of the agrivation of this problem…When your representative of the store makes a mistake and sells a person the wrong item it is the store responsible to make it right not me arguing for my refund.my experience was abusive and stressed me out..the date of this was 2-15-2022..time was around 11:30 am…check with the manager…she was rude to me

Found myself a couple gems including this amazing lantern. The owner is also a gem, making our experience amazing. Unfortunately we will be back often to spend more money because there are great items!
Cute antique store. Owner was quite nice. Store is not temporarily closed, it is very much open. Worth stopping by. Prices are reasonable.
Not open on weekends even though online it states open

Great Sales
Beautiful store
Great place for shopping for higher end things such as clothing and kitchen supplies.
We went When they had their New Year’s Day sale. They did have a counter at the doors to make sure they didn’t go over the 1200 capacity. Everybody was to wear masks. Little disappointed to find out there was not consistency throughout the store. Some cashiers were wiping down the tables and credit card machines others weren’t.
Helpful and nice employees
Creepy place always empty and hard to find an employee that will step away from relaxing to help you purchase your items. Lol
No leather soled shoes
Bought a Tommy Bahama T shirt last week for my husband. Even on sale it was $35.00. After the first washing with only two other T shirts the fabric became pilled all over. Calling Dillard where I purchased it I was told by the first person I washed it incorrectly and the second person said I could show the dept manager and it was up to him if they would take it back. Why? Because they could not resell it. WOW! Why would you resell a defective item. Let me help you……you would return it to the vendor. Never shopping at Dillard here again. Too many stores even here in Lake Havasu to waste my money.
10. John’s Corner Music Shop
Address: 8680 AZ-69, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314 , Desert Hills , Arizona , United States
New favorite music and guitar shop. The staff is all very helpful and John is such a sweetheart.
He helped me fix a small broken piece on my guitar for me and let me watch him do it.
Afterwards, he let me try out some of the guitars he had around the shop.
I was also extremely suprised to see how cheap the instruments are, price wise not quality wise.
So glad this place was recommended.
Went there yesterday. Jack fixed my guitar and put strings on. The price is so reasonable it’s hard to belive.
And Jack well can’t say enough about him.
Thank you guys for everything!!!!
Very friendly and helpful. Walked out with a nice amp for my son…thank you.
wouldn’t give it even one star! I just went in to grab some guitar strings and was never once acknowledged the whole time I was there. Not even a greeting. needless to say I walked out. Not sure what the deal is in this town but I have yet to encounter any sort of professionalism with the businesses here!!!
Low quality gear that is way over priced.
11. Sam Ash Music Stores
Address: 4402 W Cactus Rd, Glendale, AZ 85304 , Desert Hills , Arizona , United States
I had a pick up installed wasn’t your usual install.
Michael did an awesome job was very happy with the work he had done. I’ have been buying my guitars there for some years now as there service and help have been great ! now I have a new tech!
Helpful workers, nice place
Great, but over priced.
They have a used Martin Shenendoa D1832 at about $500. Supposedly USA. MADE> Come to find out, these are made in Japan and shipped in a few pieces then assembled here in the USA. These old guitars may have bridge issues that are tricky to repair to say the least. Be carefull.
Sam Ash is great if you’re not in a hurry. The service is slow. They are friendly and knowledgeable but Everytime I stop there it takes forever. Prices are good and I like the used stuff it’s usually a good deal.
As a store this is a lovely place. The other departments were nice. But I have no clue what happened to the DRUM department.
They have close to 15 electric kits set out and today when I went in to test some of them out, I could not. They were all broken, not properly plugged in, or half set up. The only kit I went in there to play was the new Roland electric because I am actually considering getting one. It was plugged in ready to go set up and everything and yet I still couldn’t play it because it was on display on a large stage and the employee told me serious offers only. Guess he didn’t want the commission.
The acoustic kits were in bad shape, out of tune, and the only acoustic kit I was told we are allowed to play is in the sound proof cymbal room. Before I went in I was told to “keep it down”…(Drums?) I proceed to go in there to play and they didn’t even have decent pedals or cymbals on the kit anyway. Whomever is in charge of this department should no longer be. The drum department is in need of some tender love and care. Sam Ash used to be a musician haven to come in and try stuff out and make some purchases.
This is the first time I have been in years and it will be years before I ever go back. I am heartbroken and so very disappointed.
Walked into this store at 6:15pm to see if they would be interested in purchasing a Benjamin Adams saxophone and a Boss pedal, both in excellent condition with minimal use- I was patiently standing a bit behind a couple that was being helped by an employee behind the counter in the room to the right after walking in, looking over the information posted and various advertisements just inside the front door, since I didn’t see anyone in the first room the entrance leads directly Into and I heard people talking so made my way to where the people were and just stood there calmly waiting, looking at items on the wall since I have never been inside this store before and was interested in seeing what they had on display and also wanted to pick up a headphones adapter while I was there so generally observing items around me to see if I was near where that item may be when the employee stopped seemingly mid conversation with the couple he was attending to and VERY RUDELY ask me “Is there something you need?” To which I replied “I’m just stopping by to see if you’d be interested in a saxophone and boss petal”, I was told that I would need to return before 6 if I want to sell an item per store policy, I asked if he would be willing to take a look at what I had to see if they would even be interested in my items since it was a 20 minute drive for me to get there so I know if I should make the trip back tomorrow or not so I didn’t waste either of our time, was ignored completely, stated I had looked over the website quite thoroughly and did not see that stated anywhere nor did I see that posted anywhere upon entering and looking through the information on the wall inside the door or anywhere in the lobby area which I took the time specifically paying attention to when I walked in which I wasn’t give any response to either- ignored again, not given any answers or explanation- just ignored me as if i was no longer there after being told they don’t buy anything after 6 and directing his attention back to the couple. Horrible customer service, very disrespectful before knowing anything about why I was there. Would not recommend that anyone visit this place for any reason considering the lack of common courtesy, condescending attitude and overall unpleasantness of the entire interaction with the staff. Having employees that don’t seem to want to be there and have no problem running customers off isn’t a business worth dealing with. Look elsewhere/ literally anywhere else for your instrumental and musical wants/ needs- not worth the negativity that’s barked at you by the employee when you visit this location
My review is for Sam Ash online, not a brick and mortar store.
I tried to order online as a guest and their website kept giving me error codes that I couldn’t make any sense out of, so I was forced to make an account and order it. After ordering they have a popup on screen that says you’ve received a $100 dollar gift just fill out this survey, me…thinking this was a reputable company, clicked on it and filled out the survey. It’s for magazines, $100 dollars for magazines that they will no doubt keep sending to you for the rest of your life demanding money. Apparently Sam Ash attended the survey monkey school of business, stay classy. That was my first red flag.
Then…they charged me TWICE in pre-authorizations, leaving it there for the weekend like it’s no big deal. So I called them to get an idea of what is going on. Their customer service is HORRIBLE. One guy on the phone just pretended like I was full of it and their live chat Xed out before I was finished. They really just didn’t give a damn. They kept saying, “we only show one charge,” and I kept saying “well my bank shows two”. Eventually I called my bank and they said there isn’t anything we can do until monday, if and when they eventually charge it. Who knows, they certainly don’t.
I don’t know about everyone else but my experience with pre-authorizations is that they are usually a fraction of the cost of the item purchased and even so they only last a day at the most. Not so with Sam Ash, I’ve got other bills to pay and now this means that my account is pretty much depleted until monday, wasting my entire weekend. Thanks alot. The bad customer service after that is just a slap in the face. You couldn’t pay ME to order anything from these guys again. Even though what I bought was a great deal, doesn’t matter that much if the rest of your website and customer service is absolutely horrendous.
UPDATE: So, as if everything else weren’t bad enough. I ordered my item on Friday at 9 or 10 am, they didn’t get it sent to FedEx till 5:30pm on Saturday. Over 24 hours and even then I’m still charged twice on my account.
