Very nice establishment. Great in store selection of instruments, and accessories. Teachers are all incredibly professional, and work well with students of any experience level. Staff was friendly, and eager to help or answer any questions.
The first and the last requirement of a man can be fulfilled overwhelmingly in a place called Castle Rock near CO-Springs; U.S.A.
Castle Rock Music is a great store! I have been shopping here for years and will continue to do so. The staff is is very informative about the brands that they carry and can answer pretty much every question you would have. I also like the diversity of the store and their wide range of instruments! Easily the best music store within 50 miles.
I don’t see why many people are giving this place bad reviews, as I have good experience with it. I take guitar lessons here and the mentors are nice. I do feel a tinge of hostility towards me from the front desk workers, but they do seem approachable. I’ve never gone through a repair before with them, but that’s because I’ve never broken a guitar. If it weren’t from the tiny bit of hostility from the workers I would’ve given this place a five, in my experience and work with them.
Singing lessons for our daughter is wonderful. The process is good, prices are acceptable, and the venue is nice.
The shop itself is cute and quaint, but the selection is only very low end. Nothing of value at all. Not even cheap name brand equipment, but just low end non-name brand stuff. No biggie I guess, and I’m sure their selection is ideal for what they’re going for, but you would think at least one Fender or Les Paul would be in there. Haha! Nope. I’m speaking about guitar/bass/amp selection.
Overall, a good place and great for kids or first time people.
It says castle rock band store but it’s more of a Guitar store there’s no other instruments.
Rude staff who act as though you should know everything they know. Sad they have no competition in Castle Rock. TOTALLY lacks customer empathy!
Took my mandolin in for a relatively simple repair several months ago. Picking it up today because they are too incompetent to fix it… or call us and provide us with that information.
One of my students took his trumpet to be repaired there because it wasn’t actually changing notes, no clue what work they charged for, but they somehow missed the giant crack in the lead pipe! Not impressed at all.
I’ve only been there once to get cork grease, quick easy purchase (reason for two stars instead of one).
2. Colorado Institute of Musical Instrument Technology
Address: 651 Topeka Way # 100, Castle Rock, CO 80109 , Douglas County , Colorado , United States
Love this place! So knowledgeable and helpful. Quick repairs too!
Thank you for helping us find the right cello for my daughter…. She’s excited to start learning!
Fast and great service!
I went in to get a sticky valve fixed on my trumpet, while the first time the issue was not understood and it was only cleaned I brought it back and re did it, now it’s playing like a dream!
Staff very helpful.
Very knowledgable place and trustworthy. We drive all the way from Aurora to have them work on our instraments. They are also reasonably priced.
This place is awful. Purchased a flute from a Craigslist posting. Flute doesn’t fit my needs. Attempted to return flute in less than a day and they will not refund me my money.
They never said all sales final. Do not go here. They are shady. The guy Brad sold me the flute for cash to avoid taxes on it.
Be cautious. They may buy insufficient product to replace your expensive equipment.
Do not rent from this place! Returned the instrument 6 months ago, they are still charging my credit card. Worst customer service I have ever seen in the state of Colorado.
I took my flute in, not only did they not bash on the flute but they made the flute worse. Now I have to get about $1,000 worth of work on it done. They striped the corkscrew and did not put the pads back in alignment, so now it is harder to play.
3. Bogey’s West Music
Address: 311 Third St, Castle Rock, CO 80104 , Douglas County , Colorado , United States
BW is an awesome place. It’s nice to look at vinyl in a store. You see more awesome things that you forgot you loved! Owner is awesome and really appreciates you purchasing from them cause she knows they are competing with online sellers. Highly recommend Bogeys West.
Loved it!
Great funky vinyl shop
Cute ma and pa vibes, a good selection of what you would hear on the radio, but nothing more “under grown” but does the job and full of nice kind people
It’s a cool little record store in Castle Rock. I stop by here every time I get a chance and I always find something for a decent price. Smelled strongly of incense the last time I went, but not overpoweringly.
SHOUT OUT TO SEAN G AT ALLEGRO MUSIC FOR PROVIDING THE MOST EXCELLENT SERVICE IVE EVER HAD AT A MUSIC STORE, PERIOD!!! The luthiers here are very experienced and professional, and their rental program is truly amazing ! Anytime I need my guitar adjusted or fixed up or new strings, I bring it in and have it back within one day or that same day, which is outstanding!!!!
The rental program has changed my life musically and allowed me to Persue music on a budget I can afford.!!! It’s truly amazing and such a huge blessing for me, thank you Sean and the rest of you guys for everything y’all do!!!
Much gratitude,
Marco Killian
We used Allegro for both clarinet and guitar rentals for the past 3 years. Always friendly and helpful. Have had a repair in the past and again this week on my daughters clarinet and it sounds so sharp now and is all cleaned up. Very reasonably priced. Good little music shop in Parker.
Great music store with awesome teachers and staff. Always a pleasure coming to your store!
I suppose it couldn’t be personal, that would be silly. Some of the visits are just awkward and incomplete I suppose…
It’s a nice place, they just don’t seem to carry much for Ernie Ball electric strings. I’ve always had to wait and order even in the old store.
I’m sure y’all make bank on lessons anyway, not strings.
Good place to buy musical instruments. Very helpful staff
Great shall music shop with a helpful staff. Looks like a great place for learning young musicians.
We are looking for a viola and came to your store today to purchase one. We walked in and there was 1 person in front of us and 2 others walked in behind us. We waited over 20 minutes as your worker kept helping everyone else that walked in behind us. Needless to say you guys just lost the purchase of upwards to $1,000. Too bad because you guys have some really nice looking Violas from the shelf.
I came for the guitar lessons. The staff was very polite. For a long time, they asked a teacher whom I even very briefly met. We agreed on the price, schedule and I left my phone number on which the teacher should contact me. No one contacted me. What is most surprising is that the manager sees that something is wrong, the student did not come to the planned very first lesson and does nothing. This place is probably so overloaded with work that they can choose individuals to be their students… Unfortunately, I can not recommend this place.
I wouldn’t shop there for anything except for guitar picks or something maybe not even that.
6. Music Go Round
Address: 8055 W Bowles Ave #2C, Littleton, CO 80123 , Douglas County , Colorado , United States
I bought my kids’ band instruments here a year ago and had excellent service. We were new to the world of playing instruments. We bought one new trumpet new and a used cornet. It made more financial sense than renting through the school program. A year later and they are both still playing the same instruments. We got all our questions answered. I would definitely shop here again and recommend to others.
This place has amazing gear and its always priced reasonably. Definitely recommend to musicians trying to save money on gear!
I’ve been going here for years for all of my musical instrument needs these guys are professional and very nice!!!
Great place to look for used gear! They have a decent selection of everything especially if you have kids! and the employees are nice. I’ve sold a few thing here and I’ll say they offer the absolute lowest price they can when you don’t take store credit… If you have something to sell and need the cash quick it’s great otherwise you have to be looking to trade for something in the store for it to be worth it.
Staff is a great bunch of guys who have a grasp of what’s what about musical instruments. It used to be a good place to sell your used appointment. I would give you a a decent price but nowadays they won’t even give you a price better than what a pawn shop will give you. I’ve noticed in last couple of years their prices have gone up. They don’t negotiate the prices, which puts customer at a disadvantage Because condition is a huge part in what you pay. I will still stop in and check their inventory. But not as often as I used to.
Very knowledgable and helpful
Bought a DJ mixer online and paid shipping. Called up after 3 days as I didn’t receive any update about my order. Guy told me that they sold the mixer at the store and will just issue me a refund. What a joke of a store.
Inquired about, and tested an amp, (The Roland Bolt-60) it wasn’t acting correctly so I mentioned it to them. It appears to have some grounding issues, making noise from filter capacitors most likely, as well as issues with the pots. I was still interested in it, however rather than correct their advertisement and pricing, or repair the amp, they told me to forget about it and that they wouldn’t be repairing it.
If this is how they handle broken products and continue to sell them in states of disrepair. This might serve as a good warning. I would worry about other products without completely testing it, and potentially having a second opinion.
Was just in the store upgrading my daughters amp not realizing you close at 4pm. Innocently thought you were open till 5 atleast like most places. Besides the miss understanding with hours. You don’t turn off the lights on your customers while they’re about to make a purchase. I come here alot and have always been treated with respect. But turning the lights out on us was a pretty low and rude move. Basically felt like you were all saying FU to us!
If you can play or sing in front of an audience you should atleast have the confidence to make an announcement that you’re about to close ahholes!

I bought a used violin from their sister store after deciding I wanted to try to pick it up again after almost 20 years of not playing. The violin I received needed the bridge installed and needed tuning, so the sister store sent me to Music and Arts for help. Christopher helped me get the violin set up and ready to play. I told him my situation and he helped me pick out a music book to learn from and some accessories. What I appreciated most was that he was genuinely excited to share a love of music with someone looking to get back into it. Thank you for your help!
Nice little store.. knowledgeable and friendly.. As a novice to this, I was impressed. I will definitely do business here.
Nice people and 1000x quicker than guitar center
Your one stop shop whether you want to buy or rent or repair musical instruments. They have friendly staff with reliable service and they do have branches at many places in Colorado
Very limited options. Good for beginner or any starter . Cheaper instruments and cheap music stand. Not recommended for intermediate or professional needs :/
Good selection of musical gear, instruments, some sheet music, and other necessities. The rental prices are high – the markup on their instruments is, too- but overall it’s a good store with a friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Purchased a viola starter pack at a school rental night. Was told it would be delivered to the school within a few days. It is now more than a month later and my kid never got the starter pack. To top it off the customer service line does not answer the phone. I sent an email to see if I could get it resolved and the same day I got a random $30 charge on my credit card. This has been a very frustrating experience and my daughter still has no viola pack!
Helpful staff, but totally under staffed. If you roll in expect a huge line and pack a lunch. It is a very poor experience.
I rented a trumpet for my daughter and as I was returning it, one of the workers said that I could get a hundred dollars credit for a different instrument. I told her that I would wait until my kids were out of school so they could pick which instrument they wanted. Last Thursday, I went in with my kids to return the trumpet and find a new instrument. I gave the trumpet to the man at the cashier, expecting him to complete the process with the credit opportunity. Without a word, he returned the trumpet without mentioning the credit opportunity. When I asked about it, he said “Sorry I already returned it. I can’t do anything about it.” This employee scammed me, and his response was a pathetic excuse of an apology. I am incredibly disappointed. If I could give zero stars, I would.
I’ve had great experiences buying vintage tubes from Fuzz Audio!
Purchased Telefunken NOS Ax tubes. It was a excellent experience. I was looking at another tube but after telling them my situation they recommended these and I am so glad I listened. They gave me an excellent price. They know what they are doing. I definitely will be using them again. 6 stars
I ordered 3 NOS Mullard tubes from Fuzz audio for my 1969 Marshall. They quickly shipped. Unfortunately USPS destroyed the box.
Jon sent me out a fresh set of tubes, specially testing them ahead of time for low noise. I put them in my Marshall, and it’s never sounded better. Highly recommend!
I messaged Fuzz Audio before placing the order as I was particular about the condition of the tubes. I wanted to have legitimate new old stock condition tubes. I wanted to spend the extra money to get clean working tubes and not have the hassle of trying to piece together all of them individually for my Deluxe Reverb. The order initially took over a week to ship out and then when the tubes arrived they were in less than “NOS” condition and the 12AT7s RCA blackplates I had requested were substituted with RCA 6201s. Not a big deal but it would have been nice to have let me know beforehand. Besides this the tubes all looked used, I got that they are old but these had noticeable wear on the glass and pins. Their were issues with microphonics, logos worn and no original boxes. Were these tubes even tested? It was a big let down. I messaged Fuzz Audio Support and after a week or so they said I could send back the tubes I didn’t want and get a replacement. I sent back a microphonic RCA 12AX7 and worn out RCA 6V6. He sent me a message and let me pick out which replacement I wanted. Which was great but then the wrong tube arrived and after he messaged me saying the one I picked had been sold. He then let me know he would message me again when he got more tubes in but then never replied to my response so I decided to just leave it alone. Now I’ve been having issues with my reverb and tremolo so I took it to a shop to be looked at and what would you know I’ve got two tubes testing low. I’m not hard on my amps and this one’s been used rarely the past 6 months. Luckily the tubes should still be covered under warranty. So I sent an email to Fuzz Audio Support letting them know the issues and no response. I re-sent the email again a week later and still nothing.
Bottom line: There is a big difference between “Tests” NOS and NOS tubes and I’m extremely doubtful these tubes are truly NOS. I’ve had multiple fail in less than 6 months, issues with microphonics, terrible customer service and attention to detail, and impressively slow shipping. Save your money and look elsewhere.
No response from their customer support for various questions. Website boasts shipping product within 24 hours, but I still have an order unfulfilled after 5 days. They charged me and took payment within a day, though. This company or website may be a scam. There is no phone number or address listed, and all contact is via text or email.
Update: they answered email inquiry regarding order and upgraded one of the tubes to make up for the delay & lack of response. Which was a nice gesture. (All prior questions remain unanswered – which was about product I was intending to buy, and now most likely won’t buy from them)
Within the same day I had a fraudulent charge made on my credit card for a large amount at Amazon – which I have not ordered from for over 3 months.
Security on Fuzz Audio’s website may be compromised, or perhaps one of their employees isn’t trustworthy. I would be wary of ordering from this company.
It’s been 5 business days and many order hasn’t shipped
10. Musically Dreaming Studio
Address: 12963 S Cory St, Parker, CO 80134 , Douglas County , Colorado , United States
I’ve been going to this store fore about a year or so and it’s hands down my favorite music store. Everyone who works there is super nice and it’s always a pleasant experience. They do great setup work too. They also have a small music school in the back, although I think they’re moving in the near future. I like their prices and they’re friendly people. I always feel welcome.
These people ROCK!! I bought a tube amp that was fantastic, unfortunately after about a month and a half it decided to completely give up its life of metal mayhem and die. Brian the owner did EVERYTHING possible to get it living again, but it was DEAD. He then choose to offer me store credit for the amp. I got another tube monster, and I could not be HAPPIER!! I know his shop took a hit on some serious bucks, but he said he’d rather have a happy customer. I want to say THANK YOU music go round aroura, and especially to Brian.
THANK YOU!!!!!
So nice to have a music shop close by. Repairs and service are good. Have unique and good finds, played a pre war Martin parlor guitar there!
I bought a Epiphone 335 guitar on 12/7/20 from Guitar Center, but the case was on back order. I waited a month to find out that it was pushed out again till June 2021. Fed up, i googled music stores and called this one. Visited today with my guitar, and I found/purchased a great case for a fair price. Staff was friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely come back! Highly recommend!
Nice selection of acoustic guitars with a quiet room to try them. Very limited selection of band instruments. Good service, if not exactly warm and friendly.
Got a keyboard from here one time good price and it works out great for me in my studio.
Most of their stuff is severally over priced and even damaged. You are better off buying new from Guitar center. This speaker stand they had was severally damaged and they wanted 79.99 for it. Go to Guitar center. I was not rude to the staff, he was very short and had horrible breathe standing too close to me. They should have nicer staff that are helpful. Before even showing me ANY equipment he personally suggested I go to Guitar center before trying to help me. Take accountablity for your ineptitude.
Went in here to pick up a keyboard stand a bench. My 6yo daughter picked up a $5 recorder and was looking at it while we were shopping around, I also found a guitar I’ve wanted for 20 years! It was used and cheaper than I’ve seen so I got on my phone and transferred enough money to buy it. ($800.00 takamine gb7c) while I was on the phone they came over and let us know that since my daughter tried to play the recorder we have to buy it now. So I bought the recorder and left. Instead of a $800 sale they got a $5 sale. Extremely bad business practice. I understand they don’t want kids putting these things in their mouth but how about putting them where kids can’t reach them or instead of watching us walk around the whole time waiting for her to do it (cause all kids will) say something when she picked it up. Last $5 you’ll get from me! And just so the employees know I found the same guitar new at guitar center for $150 more and when I told them this story they matched your price! I run a business close by and I intend to push as much business away as I can. Horrible people! Forcing people to buy stuff for their kids doing something you know they are going to and doing nothing to prevent it is the same as theft in my book. Get these crooks out of the neighborhood!
They are not friendly at all the person who answered the phone was not nice and did not want to help out at all

Lois is by far one of the best teachers I have ever had. I have been taking music lessons since I was at least 7 or 8 years old. I have a degree in music (vocals and business) and decided that I really wanted to continue my education and develop my skills with piano as an adult. Lois first taught my daughter at her school and as I listened I realized there was something amazing about how she taught. Ways I had never experienced before. If you are thinking of lessons for yourself or your kids, look no further. She has incredible skills and patience.
Lois is a great teacher! She’s patient, kind, and genuinely invested in her students.
My son has progressed so quickly since starting violin lessons with Lois. He has loved learning how to play this year! Lois is good with encouraging kids to follow their musical passion.
The Musicians here are amazing!!! Very knowledgeable, very friendly, understanding, and excellent at what they do! I wouldn’t take my kids anywhere else for music lessons, huge variety of musical professionals here and lessons catered to your individual needs. Looking for a great music school? look no further! Joe took the time and effort to tune my daughter’s new cello perfectly, and refused to charge me. I am so grateful! I appreciate you so much! I will be bringing my daughter and later on my son for lessons soon hopefully!
My son has been with Karan doing guitar for almost 2 years now and there isn’t any other person id rather have working with him. If you need someone patient, kind, personable, knowledgeable and can make it fun… ask for him. You won’t regret it.
I love being able to learn the guitar at a pace I can manage, the teachers are patient and very friendly which I like. Overall a great experience!

I’ve been doing business with them for about 3 years. From purchasing some mallets… To owning my very own drum set. I take lessons now… These guys are so great. They are very helpful and great to work with
These guys know there stuff! Very helpful and friendly too!
I’ll be back.
Great staff. Helped me find exactly what I didn’t know existed. I came in with a problem, they promptly guided me to the perfect solution. Its tricky to find, the entrance is in the back of the building. You’re welcome.
The staff is very knowledgeable. They have degrees in percussion and music. They have a fantastic selection of med-high end product in store and any accessory you would want or need. They also offer lessons at about a buck a minute.
