My son is a college music major and was looking for a 5 octave “practice piece” when we found the Monkman Studios website. I reached out to Jesse Monkman to inquire about the studio and the marimba, as at first it seemed “too good to be true”. My son’s marimba arrived last week and it is EVERYTHING promised! We were able to Facetime Jesse to ask questions, see and hear him play his marimba, and have him explain the different features. This is an investment, and trusting in someone you have just met was at first a bit intimidating. Jesse was very honest and transparent with all aspects of this process, and being mom, I would frequently email to check on progress and shipping (: Jesse was extremely patient and gracious, usually responding the next day! My son said the assembly instructions were clear and he was able to assemble alone. The look and sound is everything he hoped for, truly a beautifully and well built professional piece. I would highly recommend you reach out to Monkman Studios, an adjustable 5 octave marimba with resonators of this quality will not be found at this price! We have had a very positive experience…he even offers a student discount!

Very nice record store! Neil was very informative and kind, quite interesting to talk to. There’s a variety of music, on a variety of formats. They had just what I was looking for, too! I’m very happy with my purchase. Rocking out to In The Air Tonight!
Cool place. Just opened. It’s nice to see a locally owned record store on Lookerman! Neil and Eric have done cool records with fair prices for vinyl. I look forward to seeing the selections over the upcoming weeks and months.

They had a great selection of every type instrument that they had in store with very courteous staff members as well as a nice atmosphere.
Found this gem here at a pretty good price and in great condition for a used amp. He has some nice guitars for sale, and a few on a rotating sale.
You could tell from the stock and the building the business had longevity, and is bigger inside than appears from the outside. I didn’t venture past the electric guitars into to percussion or acoustic room, but my friend spent time in the acoustic room and came out smiling.
Overall it was a good experience and I may be back to get one of his guitars before I leave town.
Great selection of guitars! I just wish that they had better sales and deals on their instruments.
Nice place to buy music instruments. Also they employee are nice and helpful. Recommended
Horrible customer service, sent my wife In This morning just to grab some picks w a picture of what I want. Manager basically was not very friendly and basically said goes by color which she knew and said this is what we have but she also knows enough to be wary because is it a jazz or 1 or 2 or 3 or 3 xl or normal shape etc. … she does not know what’s she’s looking for they had fender on logo and not tortex jazz3 and the and she wanted to make sure one they were the right pick … she was frustrated in his lack of helpfulness and enthusiasm… I get it, it’s picks but we had never used this guitar store so sent her in to grab something small. I have spent 20,000 on guitars and amps this year including a Gibson custom shop ES335 and Fender custom shop strat… they will never get my business this is just typically guitar shop arrogance… and yes I did call to ask him what the deal was w a bit of an attitude which his tone even on phone was not very customer is always right more like (his quote was I do t need this attitude from me.. true it privately owned so the manager has every right not to listen that I am upset at servce…) but a very bad way to to make money in shop.. if he would have calmed me down and been cool, basically said sorry bud I could have grab some picks and taken a bit more time vice continuo g to do what he was doing… my wife would have come back in and I would go check out some guitars and amps ..customer service is why people still go to guitar store otherwise we would all just order from Sweetwater.. all he had to do is taken some time to be a bit more helpful. I should have had less attitude on ph e but the tone was annoying . We won’t go back and they will not get my money … if the owner sees this please feel free to start some communication and maybe I will give it another try ..
My friend and I were treated like we had the plague on our 10/1/22 visit. I made the mistake of actually playing one of their guitars and the owner of the store snatched it from my hands and instructed his employee to “wipe it down”. I promise that you will NEVER see me in there again. You might actually sell something if you had reasonable prices. This is exactly why people buy their gear on-line. Worst shopping experience I ever had. I promise we will bad mouth your shop to every single musician we know.
I bought my sons trumpet here. No problem. Good deal, But the manager was restocking the guitar picks. The prices were from 25 cents to 75 cents. I heard the manager tell the employee to make them all one dollar. The employee hesitated and the manager said: Do it, Frig it theyll pay it. I never went back. I was very disappointed with their train of thought.

My daughter has been with Timbella Studio for a year. It’s amazing how fast she has learned to play the piano and read the music. They have wonderful teacher that teach them how play the instrument and to sing. I would recommend to anybody if want to sing, play the piano, and play the violin they should go to Timbella Music Studio.
Throughout COVID Mr. Timothy was able to accommodate us multiple times! He is always willing to bend over backwards for us and has been a great teacher addition!
Timbella is an amazing studio with wonderful teachers. My daughter takes piano and voice lessons and absolutely loves it. They are very accommodating with my schedule, and I love that they give back to the community. I highly recommend Timbella!
I contacted these people concerning violin lessons. They never answered my email or phone call. However, they used my email to solicit funds from me. When I addressed this issue with them, they were defensive but still did not reply about the violin lessons. I continued to receive letters asking for money until I had the emails sent to spam.
Is the the place where I can find all the music CDs and DVDs. Great store.
Great place
They have a lot of movies and CDs that I was looking for.
Good entertainment for me I believe y’all will like it
Interesting variety
Store is a bit disheveled, doesn’t really welcome you unless you’re there to buy a dvd you knew you were getting or a funko pop.
The music in the store was distracting. I just wanted to check out and they kept asking for address, email, etc., And they were pushing their specials. Finally, the prices are too high
I’m better buying stiff off Amazon cheaper
As soon as I walked in there was nobody on the sales floor. The girl working was in the backroom yelling on the phone the entire time, I watched several customers walk in and walk out, she needs to be fired. HORRIBLE customer service.

I bought a fender acoustic guitar from here and it works fantastic they also have a very good selection to choose from and the employees are polite and helpful if your around the area and are interested in instruments I suggest going to this place
Always knowledgeable and helpful!
Scott was a huge help. I called the store looking for information and to see if they had a specific model in stock. He found it for me and offered to hold it for the day until I got off of work. The price was even better than the big box store. The staff was really friendly and the selection of musical instruments and accessories was great. I highly recommend this store.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I find their prices a little higher than elsewhere, but their location is convenient, and sometimes it’s just easier going into a store rather than dealing with another music store on the phone.
Mat was a great guy that works for you.Spent 4,500 this year already.
Signing up for lessons with this company is one of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made. Their billing practices are extremely criminal. They continue to charge you after you have canceled services with them. They also bill you for holidays when their business was closed and you received no services. The representatives in the store and on the customer service line are no help with billing as they know nothing. You are billed money on a different date each month but never receive a statement for what you are being charged for. This company seems to be money hungry and filled with thieves. I would never recommend anyone doing business or taking lessons from this crooked company.
I would never recommend this place to anyone. It’s sad that the schools direct you to such a in trustful company. Please take advice and stay away from this place.
Went to purchase my 8 year old daughter piano lessons back in December and was told I needed to purchase a piano or she wouldn’t succeed in lessons. I explained she wasn’t even clear if this is something she wanted to peruse but just wanted to try it. The cashier wasn’t helpful and I went out hopeless. Fast forward to a little over 2 months and we found an excellent instructor who guided us toward a keyboard to practice and she absolutely loves it. A piano purchase is probably in the near future but I won’t be returning to this shop. Just to think, this visit to the store could of altered my daughters life had I gave up.
