Very nice people helped us out fantastically even with our lack of knowledge
Jimmy has excellent customer service
Great selection of instruments and supplies with knowledgeable, friendly service and repairs. Also a cool place to find quality used gear on consignment. Every town needs a great music store. Jimmy’s fills that need for Durango and beyond.
Cute store pack with tons of things.
Good local music, guitar store
Jimmy’s music was very nice store however seemed understaffed.
Had my mind set on buying a new piano keyboard and supporting this local music store in Durango and to know that the workers (maybe even the owners) don’t know how to treat their customers is very disappointing. When I walked in I wasn’t greeted, even after a few minutes I wasnt asked how I was doing or IF I NEEDED HELP FINDING ANYTHING. I know what you’re thinking “maybe he was busy” nooooo! Because there was another worker there and no one else was in the store. I wasn’t addressed or anything until I was about to leave. I know I’m an adult and maybe I should have just asked him myself but if I’m gonna spend a few hundred dollars at your store then I’d expect to be treated like it let alone be WELCOMED INTO THE STORE! But my question is why? Did I not looked like a serious buyer? Was it cause I was wearing a mask? Or was it cause I was brown? My questions are valid and justified through the actions of the workers. Sad to know that people are treated differently for whatever reason. Such a bad impression on the community and very disappointing experience.
They did not have what we were looking for.
2. Toast Records & Bakes
Address: 643 A Main Ave, Durango, CO 81301 , Durango , Colorado , United States
This is a great little record shop, and I highly recommend a stop in to peruse the focused and potent selection of vinyl. I’ve picked through record shops in Canada and throughout the US, and enjoyed this shop as much as many other small shops. The offering seemed curated, with the best of the classics, to the most notable emerging. I also really enjoyed talking with the owners and look forward to going back for a more in-depth discussion of how they choose their selection. Enjoy your perusal!
Great place. It’s a record shop and a bakery, run by a husband and wife. Small but good selection of various genres. Have worked with store owners to special order items and customer service is top notch. Never had a hint of elitism or snobbery. The baked goods are delicious too. You’ll find it hard to walk away empty handed.
I was in town for a week and happened by this shop on my walk through downtown Durango. The store was nice, clean, and simple. It was well organized and everything was properly stored etc, etc. Most of all, the guy at the checkout counter was very nice (a good combo of pleasantries, vinyl talk, and letting me poke around peacefully) and even gave me some really cool toast record stickers which I now have proudly displayed on my water bottle. My purchase was great, and my good experience has stuck with me to the point of writing a review (which I never do). Check them out for a good experience 🙂

I cannot ever say enough to promote this man. I am just sincerely grateful for his continued existence in Durango. We will never know how good we have it…
I’ve been working with Bruce for many years, his knowledge and skills are second to none. Durango is lucky to have a luthier this fine. Don’t hesitate to call on Bruce to revive that sweet old guit-box, or address that top crack, or set up your action as best as possible. When the job requires the best skills, for orchestral, folk instruments, or electric guitars, he’s your man.
Trust this man. Been using him for almost a decade. NEVER been disatisfied. Hes the only person id let touch my Hummingbird… Glad youre in town man!!

New to the spot. Scooter is a serious pro. Berkley grad and very professional. The sound quality speaks for itself.
Scooter’s Place has great equipment, a fantastic space and a very easy to work with and knowledgable sound technician is Scott “Scooter”. I recommend it to anyone in the Durango area looking to make a professional album.

Very talented singer and kept a fun/engaging atmosphere the entire show. Enjoyed his music and covers of famous songs. When I go back to the Colorado/New Mexico area, I’ll be sure go to another show again!

I thank god for my few friends!!
Not trust worthy, I took a violin. You chipped it, it was not tuned and stings are slipping. And please do not contact me thru Facebook. The instrument was brand new had no chips. No it was not high quality although is worth more than you claim it to be. You did not deliver quality work, I will not be going back to you. Have a splendid day sir.

I brought John a hundred year old Bruno parlor guitar that had not been
played in 20 years. He built a new bridge, repaired a few cracks, etc. It
is WONDERFUL!! Absolute joy to play! Thanks john.
Hands down THE BEST Guitar repair company out there! HIGHLY recommend!
Experts, My guitar was new from the factory and it needed some tweaking, Co Guitary Co knew just what to do. It now plays much easier and smoother. Great techs who know guitars.
I had a crack that I didn’t think was there when I dropped it off. John disagreed and said it was, but took care of it nonetheless.
