Frank is very friendly and informed. He’s been playing guitar himself for over 40 years and gives very good tips and recommendations. I trust him completely with my money. Very highly recommend his place if you are a beginner and have no idea what to get or even if you’re experienced, he will give great advice regardless!
Maria is super helpful and knowledgeable. She helped me get the guitar I needed for my son’s 15th bday! The best guitar shop in town!!!
Purchased my beautiful guitar from the owners here. They were kind and considerate. Let me take my time trying out anything I wanted. When I heard this guitar’s sound, I knew she was mine but I was enjoying my visit so much I lingered in the ambiance a while and enjoyed the company before I told them I’d take her. They moved heaven and earth (boxes and bins) to find a case that fit her since she is a traveling size, not full size. I bought her months ago and still remembered fondly how well I was treated. I just had to come find them and make a point to let others know. Please go see them if you are interested in guitars, guitar anything.

4. Organ Stop, Inc.
Address: 543 Front St, El Cajon, CA 92020 , El Cajon , California , United States
This business was in Kearny Mesa when my grandmother asked me to take her there. They were professional and comfortable to deal with, and sold her a Kawai organ, with seat and music booklets. Soon after they delivered it to her apartment in Escondido.
After she recently died, and I was selling all her possessions, it occurred to me that this business might be interested in buying back the organ. I phoned them, and eventually one of the principle persons of the business was able to visit me.
After test playing the organ, he got out a moving dolly and we rolled it to his van. After getting it up and secured in, he informed me that he prints company checks from his computer, so he would have to create and mail one to me. I was surprised and vaguely suspicious that he didn’t bring any payment method with him. But the organ was in the vehicle, and I wanted it gone, so… off he drove.
A few days later, I was pleased to receive his check in the mail, and even more pleased when it cleared into my bank account. If he had failed to pay, I would have had no proof of sale. So, kudos to Organ Stop for being ethical.
5. San Diego Drum Repair
Address: 512 Raleigh Ave, El Cajon, CA 92020 , El Cajon , California , United States
Not our first time there. PJ was awesome in helping to pick out my son’s new keyboard. Thanks PJ and guitar center!
Always love to see the good deals they have nice I’m in the store about an hour checking out the new equipment
I’m giving it 5 stars because the quality of the merchandise and equipment is excellent. The customer service has been great too, there’s a couple of know it alls that need to drop their ego and realize they gotta sell their company’s merchandise and not hate on some of the customers that go and play, but other then the one or two dudes in there who need an attitude adjustment everybody else is super cool, super nice, and super professional. Be stern with the employees, there is always deals and you have every right to ask for an online price comparison and any sale or possible discount. Excellent music store.
Helpful service and rep. Made good knowledgeable recommendations for what I was looking for.
The size of this store and the amount of merchandise is incredible. I would absolutely recommend you go there if you want to try before you buy. The customer service was very minimal. It’s probably best that you go there already knowing what you want.
Had what i needed
They refuse to pick up their phones and have very little to no care for any customers. I visited to pick up a curbside order that had been ready in the store for almost a full day. When I went to pick up my order i sat at the curbside for around 30 minutes until the worker walked out made eye contact with me grabbed the “curbside pickup” sign and brought it inside and locked up the store. I even attempted to get his attention just to ask a simple question yet he completely ignored me and walked right back inside. This store is terrible save yourself the trouble and have anything you order shipped to your home not the store.
This guitar center blows.
I’m thinking about returning back the items I purchased, and re-buying them at Sam Ash Music store.
The customer service at this place is non-existent. Be prepared to stand around looking for somebody to help you.
Don’t look for a greeting or anything like customer service. Once again this location never fails to disappoint me with its abysmal management. In the store 25 minutes and only acknowledgement was some self important sales person who walked by twice and at least excused themselves. Skip this gc and head to Sam Ash
15. Rack-It Custom Drum Racks
Address: 1330 Peach Ave, El Cajon, CA 92021 , El Cajon , California , United States
very happy with the price, quality of work, and customer service. he knew right away what i was asking for which was very impressive given the breadth of his offerings
Called with just a very important question (no purchase) regarding properly powering my keyboard and Randy was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He not only knew all the answers but was patiently willing to explain all the nuances in detail for my benefit. He definitely secured all my future business…!!
Very professional and helpful. I highly recommend using Jarvis Keyboards.
I hope they read this review. Their voice mail is full and I can’t get through to leave a message.
0 stars. They kept my vintage synthesizer for 6 months with no contact, when I finally called them they had not yet touched it and had excuses about how they had computer problems. They had it another four months, charged me $125, and not only did they fail to fix the problem, when it got back to me it was in even worse condition and completely unusable. These guys are a bunch of overpriced hacks, I’m not sure of anyone else in San Diego who does this kind of work, but you are better off driving to LA than dealing with these people.
edit: Of course they respond with lies and even more excuses. Never was I offered my money back, the fact that they refused to refund my money after effectively destroying the synth was the entire reason I wrote this review chronicling my experience. This place is a scam and I hope they are out of business by now and the incompetent geezer running the place off to a place where he can’t steal from anyone else.
No response to my voicemails. Perhaps out of business?
I’m actually not sure if they are in business. I called a couple of times about repairing a Technics synthesizer keyboard. It went to voice-mail. I still have not heard from them.

He’s a great music teacher, positive and encouraging with the kids
Wonderful teachers here!
Excellent instructors. My son takes drum lessons with Matthew Taylor who is outstanding. My other son is learning guitar with Patrick Hinke. Both sons have excelled beyond our expectations. I would highly recommend this business if you are wanting to learn guitar piano drums voice lessons, etc
