You know, before I started my private lessons with Charlie, I thought I knew a lot about my bass. Little did I know that I knew barely anything and then Charlie showed me how deep the rabbit hole really is, and I’ve just started digging. I’ve learned so much about tone production, posture, left and right hand, like I don’t think I would be knowing any of this if I didn’t have Charlie as my private teacher I’m also currently getting ready for all-state as of this review, which I have high hopes about. Charlie has also shown me all different kinds of basses and has now convinced me to get a U-bass. All in all, Charlie has really expanded my knowledge and experiences with the double bass and in hoping to see what else he has in stock for me.
Just the greatest string instrument repairs!
Bought a new bass and bag there today. Great experience. I got to play a number of different basses so I could get an idea of the sound I wanted. Wasn’t rushed. You can’t beat the knowledge, service, and selection. Great for other acoustic stringed instruments (violin, viola, cello) and some electric.
Enthusiastic staff, great selection, however people need to know about the billing department. My advice to anyone dealing with the billing staff is DO NOT give them any other credit or debit card numbers to cover your monthly bills. They will use whatever card they can with or without your permission.
Had an issue with my “real” credit card that I provided for billing purposes when I signed my contract and used my debit card to cover my monthly payment in the past. Fast forward to today, where I emailed their billing department stating that I had some financial issues and would be able to forward the whole payment to them within a week (my next payday). 45 minutes after sending the email, I look at my online banking and find out that they had already debited the funds from the debit card today presumably because they payment wouldn’t be fast enough.
I understand that they are running a business, and that we are contracted for the monthly payment. However, most of the people renting instruments are parents renting them for their children, and parents occasionally fall on hard times. A business that thrives on parents business shouldn’t make them have to choose between a monthly payment to them and their light bill… oh wait, I didn’t have any choice. Just taking the funds from any account that they might have held onto the debit card number from is devastating to families in some circumstances. Currently I will be left with next to no money until my next payday.
I am considering returning the instrument immediately because of this, if only to get them out of my life.
In my personal opinion owner is a narcissist. Extremely unprofessional and unethical in their interactions would strongly not recommend. The most unprofessional business owner I have ever interacted with.
When consigning my violin and selling my bow I ran into some minor issues with cashing a check.
1.) When calling the business and trying to find an alternative resolution the owner tried to extract money from me falsely stating that a check costs 150$ to cancel, acted in a condescending and haughty manner as if his time was the most valuable thing in the world. Tried to and attempted to extract money from me and weirdly accused me of trying to cash a check twice. During my actual interactions with him in person- several times berated employees for taking too long to inspect the violin, consistently displayed a contemptuous, haughty attitude.
2.) They failed to advertise the violin online for the actual consignment. Owner was very aggressive in his pursuit of me consigning the violin probably because he has no intention of actually trying to sell it. When expressing concerns about the contract they failed to make any alterations, and after retaining an attorney it is abundantly clear that they took advantage of me.
These are extremely dishonest and unethical people and I would steer clear from doing any form of business with them.

My daughter started taking lesson with Mr. Gottlieb-Vasquez at the tail-end of June and over a period of 2 months, she made great progress . Mr. Vasquez is a professional in this field and has a lot of patience to teach, which is a plus. I highly recommend Mr. Vasquez to anyone who is looking to learn the piano and most importantly, the right way.
He is the best!!!
Having worked with him before, Mr. Vazquez did a great job of teaching and being patient with me, despite my limited skills at the time. I prefer a one-on-one teaching approach, so this was exactly what I needed. That said, I personally learned a lot and did better than I anticipated. Thank you for a job well done.
I’ve know Eric for some time, and have learned more about music composition, appreciation, composer histories, teaching methodologies, etc. than I can remember! Nonetheless, I appreciate the source of knowledge he is. His love of the art is wide and deep. He is demanding in his expectations and standards, and this can be intense – but this is also the standard of anyone I’ve met with a love for classical music.
Demanding, but an excellent source of learning. I marked “Good Quality” above because of the love he has for music.
My daughter has been taking piano lessons from Miss Jane since she was five years old and she is now 17! Jane expects excellence from her students, but she is also very patient and understanding! I credit Miss Jane with the fact that my daughter has continued with piano for so long!
We love Ms. Jane’s music class! It has been an amazing experience to watch my baby grow into a toddler and see how music has such an impact on brain development in young children. I learned my little guy likes to bounce and rock and needs to do it! Ms. Jane is an expert in her field and we are grateful for her and her classes!
I’m not sure who loves Miss Jane’s music classes more, my toddler or me. At home, she regularly starts singing, dancing, playing instruments, doing hand gestures or talking about friends from class. We’ve met lots of neighborhood kids her age, and the classes help teach social skills using the activities. If it works for your schedule, the unlimited package is a great deal. Highly recommended.

A great record store in Miami, I could spend a whole day in here flicking through the vinyl.
La atención al cliente es muy pobre, sobretodo el cashier, mala actitud para ayuda
No make sence, thy said in this app. “OPEN AND CLOSE AT 8PM” I’m here and is close in top of that you call this guys and the answer machine do not allow tou to leave a messages…. Very Umprofessional… but I know I have the solution on my hands… Don’t even try to come Again
DO NOT COME HERE!! Staff is very sneaky, not helpful at all with questions (especially prices). They cater to the regulars, and will help them over any other customer whenever possible. Prices are mixed between an additional $1 to $10 dollars added compared to other stores. Go down the street to Sweat Records, very helpful. They will try the best they can to help out any customer. Go any other place then here!!! Scratch a Lier find a Thief, you have been warned.
