Friendly, knowledgeable owner. Got my Instrument back in 2 weeks as promised. Location a little questionable.
When picking up a repair, they had someone working the counter who didn’t know 1) where my guitar was, 2) if and how I could test it, or 3) how to work their cash register system so I could pay. The employee said they didn’t really know anything and was just covering, but they had to phone a supervisor 3 times get information and the pick up took way longer than expected.
I get it, folks are busy, but if an employee is covering during opening hours they should have some base line of training… right?
Also if you’re gonna pay this business money for something, make sure you have Zelle or venmo since that’s what I ended up having to use, and don’t expect a receipt!
They also lost the little screws on the backplate of the guitar, and since they don’t do repairs on site they couldn’t replace them when I picked it up and said I’d need to pay 10 dollars and do another repair.
All that to say, the guitar does work and sound good though, but I doubt I’d go here again if there are other options.

If you’re pro, then you already know. Wonderful retailer and employer.
This place is an old fashioned musical trade store. Lots of used items on the shelves. Great, obscure items, reasonably priced and the owner, Slevin is cool as they come. Great place!
I Just placed an order with them online, and have been on the phone with them multiple times about getting back a guitar pedal I sold in hard times, that had significant sentimental value to me. Sleven on the phone, was so very helpful and kind through my pathetic whining and incessant pestering – he’s made my day, my week at least.
He was kind to me through the process and even offered to cover part of the shipping for me if it came out to be more than anticipated. Very grateful for their service and kind touch.
Unbelievable collection of equipment. They are geared for internet sales but accomodate walkins.
you never know what u will find here !!!
big collection, not so well sorted.
Slevin is a cool dude to chop it up with . . . .
I tried twice to make a purchase online and both times the transaction failed due to an unforeseen and unexplained error. I sent two emails and tried calling but was never contacted from the store. The product I wanted to purchase went back into stock both times without so much as an explanation or any attempt made to contact me. If this is how they do business than I have no interest in giving them my money. I will be going elsewhere. Thank you.
The owner of this shop is nothing short of a international disgrace. Im sure he is going to respond to this. My message is display my email and email messages
from ebay that we exchanged and let the public see them before you open your pathetic mouth. And the fine print about how you want customers to feel on our purchase. Respond to that clown
Beware. “Perfect condition” or “perfectly working” does not have the same meaning for everyone. There’s been an attempt from TE to fix the problem on the monitors I bought indeed. But I finally lost $600 + intl. shipping and repair. And threw the monitors away.
3. Tweed Hut Music Store
Address: 359 Merchant St, Vacaville, CA 95688 , Empire , California , United States
These guys are great. They spend time with me and my quest to pick my first strat, which is not easy when there are so many to choose from. Passionate about music, one of the last businesses ran the old-school way where you actually build a relationship with your customers.
I love this place. I have had them setup multiple guitars and basses that always come back perfect. Great selection of guitar related accessories. The staff know what that are talking about and are very friendly. They carry a very good selection of guitar amps and electric guitars along with a bunch of bass stuff too. This is easily my favorite music store, you won’t be disappointed.
Excellent service, real pros that work there, you can tell that they are musicians.
Friendly folks But poor job on my guitar.
1) I took my new guitar for setup and it has the transparent pickguard, it was all dirty inside the pickguard so i had to buy the tool to open the pickguard and clean myself also few screws were popping out. (And also they took off the protective sticker which i kept for a purpose.
2) the frets were still sharp which they said they gonna file it off. So i had to take another shop to get it done and i spent more.
Drove 160 miles total and spend money for poor treatment to the guitar.
My 12 y/o special needs son walked in this store and asked for help, by using their phone to call his mom and was refused help this is absolutely despicable. I will absolutely let people know what kind of people run this store.
They had a decent selection of instruments, but I was very disappointed with how one of the workers treated my friend and me. We were playing on a few different instruments over the course of about 30 minutes, and at some point a worker walked up to us and told us that the jamming had to stop. Never thought I’d hear that complaint in a music store, especially since we were playing relatively quietly. He most likely assumed we weren’t serious about buying anything (which is far from true), but I can assure you that they won’t be getting my business any time soon. I’d rather drive the extra 30 minutes to Guitar Center.
4. Live Music Center
Address: 874 Alamo Dr, Vacaville, CA 95688 , Empire , California , United States
Excellent music store with an amazingly helpful staff.
Mike at Pete’s is unbelievably amazing! I drive all the way from south Temecula just to have my guitars set up and strings changed. He treats your equipment as if it was his own. When he’s done with my guitars, they look and feel better than they did brand new. His customer service is second to none. If you have any music or instrument needs and you are looking for great customer service, someone that even takes time to answer the stupid questions and makes you feel like the most important customer, you have to go see Mike. Just an absolute class act!!!
petes music kicks ass!every time I go i walk out satisfied.
I’m so glad they got rid of “Dr. Evil.” It was the best decision they’ve ever done in my 20 years of coming here. Buying guitar strings from him was like pulling teeth. I heard he was eventually assaulted, which is unfortunate and kind of reflects on the managers for not getting rid of him sooner.
The bearded gentleman that replaced him is worth his weight in Gold.
Give that man a RAISE. He deserves it.
In a era when local music shops are hard to find this one is a gem. Great service, great staff, fair prices. Their guitar techs are top notch and extremely reasonable…
I had some questions about a guitar repair on 9/23/14. I called to talk with Pete but he was not there. I talked with someone else about the needed repair. He couldn’t help me and when I tried to get some more information about when Pete would return he was non-helpful and then he told me that he had “a room full of customers.” Or in other words, this phone conversation is over. Am I not a customer? Just another employee filling a seat over there. I gave 3 stars for my rating only because Pete is awesome, but my experience with his fill-in was in complete contrast to working with Pete.
Place is so uncomfortable. 3 people working. Complete silence. Just staring at you. Wanted to look at guitars but felt so uncomfortable.
Done
Very obnoxious dude
6. Roxana’s Music
Address: 9773 Sierra Ave., Fontana, CA 92335 , Empire , California , United States
Looking for an upright bass? This is the best place to go in the Bay Area. No one has the selection and stock that Steve does. He’s knowledgeable, easy to talk to and just a generally cool guy. The prices are fair, he has new and used instruments that span the price ranges and there simply isn’t this kind of opportunity to A/B instruments and really get a feel for options unless you go down to LA bass works. Just go here and feel confident in your purchase.
Plus roger is a sweet little dog.
If you’re into playing bass, this is where you want to shop. Steve is extremely accommodating, and I spent two and a half hours there trying different basses with different bows. Steve’s approach is solid. He provides information, and then leaves you alone so that you can hear the bass that you’re playing… Finding and purchasing the right bass or bow can be a time-consuming experience. Steve’s approach makes it much easier, and I will definitely shop there again!
Great!
I put my guitar on consignment with Steve about 2 years ago. He lent it out for long spans of time without my permission and eventually sold it without informing me. Then he said he needed the money for his own bills, so he couldn’t pay me. He’s obviously got problems that should keep anyone from trusting him. I’m taking him to small claims court over it.
8. Watermelon Music
Address: 1970 Lake Blvd Suite #1, Davis, CA 95616 , Empire , California , United States
Needed a trumpet tune-up after joining a band after seven years of not playing one of my trumpets. Valves and slides were completely jammed, so brought it by to see if they could help before trying anything forceful. The rep there (I think Avery?) immediately understood the problem and was responsive in ensuring I had a functioning trumpet and everything I needed.
My trumpet needed special attention due to the prolonged period of time, but the staff were proactive in calling me with estimated timelines and updates. Got the trumpet back with the valves working, a new harmon mute, and mouthpiece for a great value. Will be my go-to stop for any more gear!
Attendee a show at the Melon Ball room. Fantastic venue, both intimate and professional.
Excellent quality products and service, as always!
Biggest music shop in Davis.
Used to stop by when they were in downtown Davis.. “new” location is bigger and very cool
Helpful staff.
Staffs are SO SALTY AND RUDE sh*
Don’t bring your instrument to get repaired here. Very laggy with no communication. Waste of time.
My experience was not to good. I had to wait a long time before i was assisted in buying a bass with amp. I had to get an employee s attention just to get service. The females working there are nice and polite. The male employee that was trying to help me seemed to know very little about was good to buy for first time bass player. Ill go back and see if i get better service.

Great little town music shop. Always friendly and cater to your needs. Small record collection but has some cool finds. Definitely recommend
Love this place and everyone that works there
Great music shop very knowledgeable & friendly staff
Nice selection of guitars & amps
Great music store in Hemet right in the downtown area. Good selection of guitars & bass guitars. I just wish they had a larger drum section with selection of snaredrums & cymbals.
It is a good store owned by good people. Staff is friendly. New location is nice with four booths being developed as quite rooms. The store is still in development, but is a good place for good equipment and no BS. I am sure it will be at 5 stars in no time. Prices are very reasonable.
Record selection is hit or miss but ever growing and well priced
Terrible place. My son took 2 of his beloved guitars for consignment sale. Every time he called to check on status, it was a different excuse as to why they had no time to answer his questions, or just said they were too busy and would have to call him back. They have NEVER called back. My son went last weekend to pick up his guitars, only to be told that they were SOLD!!! To who?? My son never received a penny!!! Ripoff!!! He was told the manager would call him right away. He’s called every single day to get restitution, no manager, no contact whatsoever!!! They sold his guitars and kept the money!!! Scam artists!!! DON’T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!! DON’T TRUST THEM WITH YOUR GUITARS!!!
This is a very nice local music store, but it is also a very arrogant and unfriendly place if you do not fit their desired profile. I wrote the owner before posting an adverse review, no response. Too bad, but they are the best excuse for not supporting local business.
Left my acoustic electric guitar to be diagnosed on Saturday for no sound output. Was promised by Jason that it would be looked at and I would receive a call Monday with a quote on the repair. Monday passed with no call. I called Tuesday to check on it and the guy that answered seemed bothered and impatient with me. He said he didn’t see my guitar anywhere in the store and had no idea what was being done with it. He put me on hold for a couple minutes and looked for it, it was still in the store. He abruptly answered saying, “I found it I call you back in a little bit” and then just hung up on me. 3 hours passed and I called back. Someone else answered and said the previous employee had taken it apart and then just left for the day. No call back again to let me know what was being done. Wednesday passed, no call back. I called today Thursday and was told they sent it to their outside technician to fix it, not quote it. I told them to just bring it back to the store so I could pick it up, I was tired of the run around and lack of communication on their part. Completely unprofessional and lack of customer service here. I will never step in this store again!

Come in and enjoy the company of musicians who are knowledgeable and still care about the customer experience. Samantha rocks! She is well disposed and listens to the customers needs and concerns.
11/08/2017 EDIT: No longer Music Mike’s, they sold out and it went corporate. Some of the employees stayed behind, which is pretty cool. I recently bought a breedlove guitar, and that transaction went well. Their inventory is really low at the moment during their changes and remodel, they didn’t have my fav strings. I’ll update after they become a bit more established.
(5 Star) Music Mike’s: Parking on the side street or in rear, from Brockton. Pretty cool place. Within a few seconds I was asked if I needed any help. I shop local a lot, mom and pop stores to support small businesses, this place def on my list now.
I’ve not had a problem at Music Mikes…grandson got a set of drums and they went over the whole lesson plan for someone who has never played drums in the past and even asked me to step back by the lesson area where lessons were being performed so that I could watch one on one before making a decision.
I really like this place, it sells really good reeds. Quick question.. Do you guys fix violin’s?
Ok. Went in today to pick up my son’s clarinet for band.. place my order online witch is nice. Thumbs up for that. Walk in to store to pick up instrument. Tell me why when i open the case for the clarinet the poor thing look like it’s been neglected for years. Not clean look like water spots all over it. Before i signed anything i had them replaced it before i took it home.. the second one was just as bad as the first one … Just a heads up all ways check your instruments before leaving store… Update make sure you bring back your instrument before they charge. Your month. Once charged you get no refund or prorate
Absolute Gyp. Offered $20 pawn on a $1600 guitar with $1200 quad-camera live-broadcast setup built-on.
Absolutely untrustable.
Rude employees. When I’m dropping 93 dollars in your store, I don’t appreciate jokes like “let’s see how much money we can take from you today” or “it’s double price day”… Will not be going back.
12. Nick Rail Music
Address: 1770 Orange Tree Ln, Redlands, CA 92374 , Empire , California , United States
Very helpful and friendly. Had everything we needed.
I have a trumpet from Nick rail
This music supply store has just what I need for my playing and my teaching others how to play guitar and piano. Very friendly and helpful.
I called in advance and asked if they had specific items I needed that night, they said they did. When I got there they didn’t have anything I asked about in advance. The employees are uneducated about musical instruments and accessories. Go to another music store.
I have an old baritone sax. Up until a couple of years ago, it played just fine. I basically concentrate on my soprano, alto , and tenor. Occasionally I play the flute/piccolo. The bari spent most of it’s time on a stand, unplayed for a couple of years. It got knocked over a couple of times and a couple of things got bent (register key, key guard). I took it to them and they said it needed a complete overhaul. I disagreed since the last time I played it, it played fine. Even gave me the “your car needs a major overhaul and you just want me to put spark plugs in it’ analogy. I took it elsewhere and they straightened the key and the other physical damage, replaced a spring and a couple of pads and the neck cork and it play just fine once again.
Very knowledgeable, excellent service, great communication,
I took my Taylor custom 414 to Chad , even though it was only 3 years old it was developing quite a few issues in the neck. I was referred to Chad by Taylor service department, and Chad at Empire was able to confirm that it needed warranty work done, so he facilitated that work as well as he went over the whole guitar and corrected several issues. Chad is meticulous at his work , he has a well equipped workshop and is a very good at taking time to articulate what he sees as issues and explains how they can be corrected. I’ll definitely go back to get my instruments worked on my Chad…. It’s a bit out of the way…. It worth the traveling to get someone who actually knows how to work on a guitar ( I’ve had some bad experiences!). I only have one suggestion, please install a restroom for clients… it’s a long drive… and.
Anyway. I highly recommend Chad!
Empire provides high quality professional work. It’s a blessing to have a talented pro in this area of Southern California. I trusted my very high end guitars including a custom made acoustic, Gibson 335, Detemple Tele to have various work done and I was not disappointed. I am very discriminate about a repair shop touching my instruments and I was very pleased with the quality, professionalism and responsive nature Chad Gerbe delivers at Empire Guitar Works.
Chad makes our old guitars play better than when new
14. Perfect Circuit
Address: 2405 Empire Ave, Burbank, CA 91504 , Empire , California , United States
Fantastic customer service! Best selection of modular gear and obscure musical gadgets that I have ever seen. So much love. <3
A fun lace to check out synths and other gear.
Very clean shop with tons of options. Syd was super helpful too. Definitely recommend this place
nice team although you need to be there and observe the team explaining the products to other customers to be able to choose the one . bcz in this shop as i tried before . not all attendants are of same level of interest expertise or will to help. some have knowledge of brochure and some are players. pick and choose the adviser before the equipment. if you re a pro then it makes the whole thing very easy and the shop is very filled with wuality modules and great service .
A lot of gear- for those inclined- and a knowledgeable staff to guide you along.
It’s aight. All the mainstream modules are usually in stock, but if you want someone to actually help you with your setup and demo what you are interested in, go to Analogue Haven
I liked this place until they took over 2 weeks to ship cables they had in stock. No communication about the delay. They only shipped when I wanted to cancel the order. Horrible, I’ll buy elsewhere.
This review is only based on the efficiency of their shipping department not the products they sell, or to at all deter customers from shopping with Perfect Circuit rather make them aware.. I have been ordering from Perfect Circuit for a couple years now and living in Southern California you would think orders especially when you pay for Overnight On a Tuesday Afternoon would be processed at least by Wednesday for a Thursday delivery. I understand there is a cutoff for overnights depending upon pickup time from the carrier so if you order later in the day it might not be the next day. So it is 6:57pm on the day it should have been shipped and still no tracking email and I call in and the overnight order was not shipped with no valid explanation. Yes they waived the shipping which I do not really care about I cared about getting what I ordered on a day I had planned to work on my studio. I could drive all the way to Burbank and spend 6 hours of my day picking up an order that should have shipped. It was a pretty basic order a few modules and a eurorack case not complex. So basically my point is when you pay for overnight or any sort of expedited shipping it may be a good idea to contact Perfect Circuit if you do not receive tracking in a timely manner. Maybe they are under staffed I know it is the holidays but I run an online business with over 12,000 unique products and it can get overwhelming but Customers that pay for Overnight shipping move to the front vs. those that get free shipping that is just how it works. Maybe they do not work that way and if they don’t they need to make some changes – why offer premium shipping if you are not going to do what you are suppose to do. This has happened several times over the past few years and I really hope they can correct this or maybe it is only me as I really did not read any other reviews just love their product offering. I hate getting and have never placed a bad review and like I said this is just to let them know this has happened several times to me and it is very frustrating. I should have called in the morning today, I should have known better, but why should a customer have to do that every-time when you have given them thousands of dollars in business. I pray an amazing Synth store opens in South Orange County. Sorry guys I love you but you really need to get things together in your shipping department as once again I am disappointed with your backend order workflow.
My first order from these guys I NEVER even received. No one EVER answers their phones. Never Again will I spend / loose money at this place.
15. Beaumont Music Centre
Address: 725 Beaumont Ave, Beaumont, CA 92223 , Empire , California , United States
My 5 year old daughter takes piano lessons from Patrick Jones and she works so well with him. He is patient, yet stern which makes for good productive sessions. Jack and Andrea are very friendly and welcoming and make our experience comforting and enjoyable each week we come in. I am glad to have such a wonderful place for my daughter to have a great learning experience, close to home and with a business that is a staple in our local community! Thank you guys for being you! You ROCK!
I called looking for a double bass for my daughter since she was traveling from out of state and couldn’t bring hers with her. Although they did not have one, the store owner was extremely helpful, polite, and was able to refer me to another shop without any hesitation.
This place has a great mom and pop feel and I felt that I received excellent service even through the one phone call. Just based on the sweet and caring nature of the owner I recommend this shop!
I have been taking my autistic son to piano lessons here for several months and I could not be happier with their service. My son and I especially appreciate our teacher, Dion. He is very patient and kind and professional. My son has improved greatly and he loves going to the lessons each week.
Lovely little place where we are usually greeted with a hello. My guitar instructor is an awesome young lady who has great patience with me and my sister. We are very busy and usually don’t have time to practice much but we try our best. I am thankful for her.
Didn’t get a good feeling when I got to the door and an older gentleman immediately asked me what I was there for. First time I had been there and was made to feel like I was just a sale. Not what I was expecting from a community business. Oh well
Very nice people
16. Amoeba Music
Address: 1855 Haight St, San Francisco, CA 94117 , Empire , California , United States
What a place! A real treasure for vinyl, comics, music, dvd, even vhs lovers. You’ll find everything here, in a great atmosphere that you struggle to find anywhere else.
Great record store
Huge music store! Records, cassettes, CDs from every genre.
Stopped in here when a friend was in town; this was really neat as there were a ton of records and really cool place. The staff seemed quite friendly and knowledgeable, helping people with any and all questions they had (including recommendations).
Grande variedade de álbuns antigos.
Not much there for my strange tastes (spoken word; radio dramas, etc), but I found a few gems.
Really terrible live music and mic feedback to round out your time browsing antiquated media. Wasn’t for me
Good CDs… But they stole $600 worth of video game equipment (a Nintendo switch, three games, and it’s case) from my bag while checked in.
Don’t go here if you have a bag on you.
Or just don’t go here and find a better music store.
I spent 4 hours at Amoeba looking for anything of interest that was also in good enough condition to buy, and I came away with nothing but a headache. In my opinion, it’s quantity over quality here. I kept seeing a lot of the same records over and over again. I think they need to curate more than they are. The second star is for personality which they definitely have.
17. The Piano Store
Address: 4881 Granite Dr, Rocklin, CA 95677 , Empire , California , United States
I’m a professional pianist. This is a store run by someone who truly loves and knows pianos. I have purchased a couple of digital pianos from the store for professional use. As well I like to peruse the selection of fine grand pianos always in stock. Ben’s love of pianos is matched by first rate customer service. The company I ordered instruments from had some difficulties and Ben’s diligent follow through got instruments to me on time despite tremendous machinations to do so. He will bend over backwards to make sure one gets the best service possible.
Ben (the owner) at the Piano Store is first rate! We were looking for a digital piano for our daughter who takes lessons. Ben took the time to explain the different options and features. He wasn’t pushy. He really knows pianos! We took a month to consider our options and in the end we returned to the Piano Store. Our whole family is blessed and excited about our new piano. It was a pleasure doing business with him and his family. Thank you!
Had a great time in this store today–
I was initially greeted by Greg, a professional pianist. I let him know I was looking for a digital piano so he pointed me to the dozen or so that were in stock.
After talking to Greg for a while I was introduced to the owner Ben who ended going way above and beyond– ultimately cutting me an unbelievable deal on a Roland digital piano.. he also threw in some accessories free of charge which was pretty sweet. They also were able to ship this piano 400 miles away for a very low cost (probably at a loss when it comes down to it).
A little known fact about this store is that it also doubles as a recording studio. When I was there Ben toured me around and I could see some people working in a mixing room on a track.
All in all I’d just say this place should definitely be checked out if you are looking for a medium to high end piano. The deal they cut me was pretty unbelievable and they seem like really stand-up people who care about the music.
I’ve been looking for pianos for awhile and was satisfied with the selection here, but I felt like the person working there was a little pushy and rude which led to me wanting to leave. I’m not sure if I’d be comfortable coming here again.
Reply: My point is that my experience here was very uncomfortable. It was difficult to look for pianos in peace, yet I’d understand why you’d feel the need to be persistent with asking questions in an attempt to help out. My dad isn’t from the US and doesn’t exactly communicate well, so I became anxious when you told him, “People usually don’t just walk in” as he was taking a look around; this made me feel as if we were unwelcome. I tried to elaborate his vague response by telling you that we have indeed been looking for a piano for awhile; this was in no way defensive although I didn’t get the chance to fully explain myself since you quickly cut me off by saying, “Yeah, I know”. I willfully admit that what you said to my dad slightly irritated me, which is why I blatantly answered the question you asked me and continued to browse around the shop (considering the reason we visited was to look around, obviously). I just recently turned 18 (which you know since I answered when you asked) and would consider myself a sociable person, so the reason of me seeming “rude and standoff to the max” is only the outcome of feeling like our visit was bothersome for you. I was antsy the entire time and it was disappointing since I’ve been meaning to visit for awhile. And I understand that maybe you weren’t having the best day, but my review is an honest recap of my PERSONAL experience, and isn’t being said to bash your business. No one is “trampling” you Ben – I’d greatly appreciate it if you considered what I’m stating rather than argue.
Very rude walked into the store ready to spend upwards of $20000 on a piano the employees were very rude and didnt feel like answering questions and they would watch every move u made made me and my cousin very uncomfortable how am I supposed to spend lots of money on a piano when i can’t test it due to them being on the phone all the time them not having a back office where they can take phone calls is very unprofessional i was in there for about 10 minutes until i couldn’t take the constant questions them watching everywhere i go i would not recommend this place for anyone who wants piece and quiet to shop for a piano
No, he doesn’t buy pianos.

What a great store very friendly bought a beautiful guild First class operation
Best guitar shop I have seen in the area. All high end and vintage. Not for the beginners:) Great guy, super friendly!
Robby hooked me up with an OG Tube Screamer. It was exactly as described, I got fantastic pictures beforehand, and shipping was super fast. Will absolutely look to GW for anything cool and vintage in the future.

Easy to find good stuff and it’s easy make a good purchase cause you could listen to your selection before making a purchase. They buy records but I like to just do a swap…
They have a lot of records from a wide arrange of genres for great prices. You can spend hours looking through boxes or what’s on the shelf. The staff is very helpful and kind.
Great little record shop. 90% vinyl, lots of varied genres. Decent prices and friendly staff.
Well didn’t answer phone but give them a chance . Very good selections
Pretty cool shop
Great place to discover new music, nice chill vibe with friendly staff
Shame on u for deleting comments
This store sold me two fake vinyls and I am extremely angry! They sold me a 2020 Cherry Bomb vinyl and a 2017 Flowerboy Vinyl (Both Fake Special Editions). He charged be 80 dollars for it and I was very happy because I woke up at 3 a.m. just to get this vinyl. Once I asked a friend he told me both were fake. I immediately confronted the owner ,but he tried to change the subject and told me there were more in the San Jose location. This store tried to scam me by paying full price for fake items. The store could easily get shut down. They last time deleted my review of this place so the stars are biased. Once I asked the owner where he got them he immediately gave my money back and tried to ignore me. Some service! I did not wake up at 3 A.M to get ignored and sold fakes!!
I feel like I was ripped off a little……..
20. Siren Records – Monterey
Address: 527 Ramona Ave, Monterey, CA 93940 , Empire , California , United States
Easily the best record store there is in Monterey county, friendly staff, amazing in store decoration and a huge and great variety of albums
Great Record store! Always find a rare record here for my collection. Big Jazz section. Very good selection of used tube and solid state stereo equipment. I always tell my wife I’ll only 10min; but really it’s 3 hours.
Great Employees, great prices, and a great variety of metal albums.
Amazing selection of vinyl, the cd selection was very lacking, would love to see the cd selection expanded
Casi no tiene para mexicanos
Nice selection of records. Pricing is a bit tricky. Have to look up the LP on a printed list to find its price. Kind of cumbersome to say the least.
Rude and seemingly dishonest.
HORRIBLE, THESE PEOPLE ALSO OPERATE INTERNET SALES UNDER THE NAME RAREWAVES US & RAREWAVES UK, EXPLAINS THE “F” RATING WITH THE BBB
Very good selection: all new and popular albums. After reading other people’s reviews I figured they’d be the same price online so I decided I’d check this place out. They were right in the sense that no vinyl had a set price on it. When you ring out, the cashier doesn’t even tell you how much each one is just tells you your total. They overcharged around $10 or more on every vinyl. It wasn’t until I had to ask the cashier myself how much it was that they gave me the correct pricing. Cool place I guess but because of the overpriced records, I recommend just buying them online as it would save you a considerable amount of money. Will not be returning.
