This is a great local shop for your music needs! Joseph is very helpful and knowledgeable. I called about a ukulele method book, and he had pulled it out for my ease of finding prior to my arrival—talk about service! I came for a method book and walked out with a new ukulele. I had an instrument of mine serviced there, too, and Greg the luthier was very personable and attentive to my playing needs. You will find what you’re looking for here. I’ll definitely be returning for more instruments and gear.
They have certain items in stock that you can’t get at the big box stores, and good service
I am renting a violin for my son (7yr) old from B&H. The teacher agrees that this is the best small violin she has ever seen 🙂 Thank you
I bought a Fender beginner guitar with case from Joseph for a very fair price. He carries some B stock guitars which are perfectly fine quality except for some minor blemish. Perfect for a beginner.
I later bought a beginner Cordoba classical which was also B stock bargain and was what I needed for my class at Palomar College.
Good, knowledgeable people. I always like supporting the local Escondido businesses.
They also have a rent to buy plan.
Items were not priced but service was fast. Manager had to look up the price for the music stand.
Small shop with loads of customer service! I like shops where you can ask anything and not feel you need to be an expert on the subject.
not playing with a full deck here last year I had some work done on a guitar and the bald guy told me it needed a special tuner — No I am not off the boat and been doing this for 40 years any way when I checked the manufactures statistics it said any tuner would be fine…NOT PLAYING WITH A FULL DECK…
Not a good music store. They have guitars and ukuleles and those parts, but hardly anything for band instruments. I asked for replacement parts for a trumpet and they never got them. They don’t carry much for flutes either. Maybe they’re just better for stringed instruments, but they certainly shouldn’t be called a general music store if they don’t carry supplies for a variety of instruments. They have a few maintenance supplies for trumpet, but they really aren’t for band instruments.

the most impressive line ups of top guitar brands and even better folks running this awesome showroom. big UPs to Doug, Bo and Scott
My son and I decided to take a drive up to WildCat and we were blown away. This is by far the coolest guitar shop I have ever been to. The staff is welcoming and don’t make you feel like a burden for showing up like another fender shop in town. The selection of fine guitars is amazing, but don’t fret they are a full Fender dealer and have a great selection of affordable Mexican made Fenders as well.
Recently purchased a Custom Shop Telecaster from Wildcat. The guitar and case are immaculate. Setup of guitars is CRITICAL and when you have techs like Wildcat has, that do a stellar job, you realize that this is one step you don’t want to leave to chance. I highly recommend these guys for selection, price, personal service and communication and for their incredible guitar tech department.
Los of great guitars. Super friendly, but never remember to call you back with info on guitars.
Wanted to pick up a new electric but door was locked during open hours on a Th?????

Good service
Awesome showroom!!! Flock is the man!!! My blood splatter Zeus 6 string guitar is to die for. Excellent quality! Excellent customer service! They treat you like family!!
2 Thumbs up, Flock!
When in the San Diego area, I always stop in to play the basses on display. This time I was researching which model 5 string bass I like. I liked them all! I wish they had a better selection of Kiesel shirts and hats. I really wanted a Kiesel leather bass guitar strap but still not is stock!
still closed
These guys don’t seem to care whether they sell a guitar or not.
Does not allow shipping to an address other than the billing address, despite giving you the option. “Solutions” provided were completely unreasonable and provided for a larger “headache” than they were purportedly mitigating with this policy. Despite complying with customer service in a change of address with my bank, they STILL could not reinitiate the transaction to facilitate the purchase. Currently awaiting a refund for the initial transaction. Insane.
My advice if you’re buying a custom finish is to at least be prepared for disappointment and stuck with an instrument you really don’t want after spending thousands of dollars. I’m attaching two pictures. One picture of the Kiesel Guitar I saw on the internet and asked them to make and a second picture of the guitar I actually got.
I immediaetly called to complain as soon as I looked at it. This is NOT the guitar I ordered nor is it what I was expecting. The response I got from Jeff was that “I have a beautiful bass”. Different lighting causes finishes to look differently is something another Kiesel employee told me. I agree that it’s a beautiful bass. But the world is filled with beautiful basses that I didn’t order, want to own and certainly didn’t spend over $3,000.00 on!!!
Making matters worse was that it took double the promised time to get the bass. This was during covid so I (and any reasonable person) can understand time delays. The problem was that I had to keep tracking them down to get updated lead times. The very basics of customer service is you contact your customer if you can’t meet a promise you made.
Also they don’t have a hardshell case for this guitar. I had to pay a ridiculous sum for what I call a padded dust cover. I just don’t see a company making an instrument costing over $3,000.00 and not offering a hardshell case to protect it. I was assured by the sales rep that the softshell padded case protects the guitar better than a hardshell case.
I waited over a year to start writing reviews because I wanted to see if it would grow on me. It hasn’t. This was supposed to be my dream guitar. I saved for a LONG time and made LOTS of sacrifices to afford this. It still makes me sick to my stomach thinking of saving and spending all that money to get what I didn’t want. I barely play it because of this. I really wish I would have just said “make me a Green or a yellow guitar and paid half the price.
I’m giving Kiesel 2 stars instead of only one because despite all of this, it plays and sounds really nice. And I’m hoping to recoup my money by going to the NFL and telling them I plan on selling them new helmets that are foam lined with a canvas shell rather than those inferior foam lined hardshell helmets they’ve been using.
