great place for kids to enjoy and their is very good and helpfull staff
My son and I had a super fun time today! The staff was super friendly, very helpful and they had a great selection of some really cool Radio Controlled Cars and Parts! The indoor off road rc car track was a blast as well as the super cool rc car rock climbing wall! We recommend this great Hobby Store to everyone and are planning our next trip right now! See you soon, Liam and Richard.
Lots of fun
Lots of different cars for purchase or you can actually rent some and race in their indoor track. Lots of fun and friendly staff!
A fun place to have birthday parties!
Nice store seem to have a pretty good selection for rock crawling trx4 reasonable prices definitely just extremely hot within the first 5 minutes of being in there was sweat rolling down my face way too hot but other than that excellent place to go.
Not a good track for real racers if your just beginning it’s good but if your a good racer than this is not the place there kids tuning all over the place and people have no clue what there doing this is not the sport I love if you want a real track go to rainmans in Bakersfield. This is not how the sport is this is a Rental/part track this is a disgrace to the sport.
Very hot
Hate to give this place a bad review. Especially because we have been having my sons birthday party here for the last 3 years. The owner is the nicest man you’ll meet….his manager however…EXTREMELY rude. I have never felt more disrespected, embarrassed and mad at a business. Especially one we love. The manager needs replacement. Like I said…hate to give a bad review, but I feel people should know what they are getting into. You can check out my Yelp review to get better back story.

I love this place!!! When I hit the lottery, I will definitely give these guys a portion. They always wish me good luck and tell me that they hope I win
Best business in Exeter. Very stocked and good workers. Best beer prices in town for the last twenty years. Keep it going strong!
All the hotties work at this store. Sometimes i make up excuses to go there at night, just to see the very charming and handsome cashier!
Nice people great beer prices
Nicel store always busy
Nice clean organized store. The gas prices are good and the customer service is fast and friendly.
Horrible service
They are very fast at getting you through the line divert their gas is highly expensive big Mike will get it there get it tight expensive everywhere just another store

6. By the Water Tower Antiques
Address: 141 S B St, Exeter, CA 93221 , Exeter , California , United States
This is the best true antiques business in our area. It’s always a pleasure to walk in through the squeaky old front door to find a large variety of old relics and treasures. The staff is always happy, welcoming and ready to assist you with any inquiries or searches. The coffee and free cookies are always fresh!
Lived the homie setting of this place. The resident cats are playful
Very intriguing place to shop for antics.
Very pleasant owners and their store was filled with beautiful antiques.
Owners are very rude . I will not buy any thing from Water Tower Antiques
7. McDonald’s
Address: 1109 W Visalia Rd, Exeter, CA 93221 , Exeter , California , United States
Great service. The staff was friendly, like really friendly. The construction is kind of a downer but it’s not a problem really. The drive through was closed due to construction so that’s the downer as well.
A late night run with me & my granddaughter & it’s a ice cream cone & a soft drink night! It’s so nice to see that someone knows how to make a good ice cream cone & the service was so awesome! Thanks to the wonderful woman who took our order & to the rest of the staff! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐’s
Yummy for the price
Mickey D’s is Mickey D’s the only difference is you have fast ones and you have slow ones and this one is the slowest employees would rather talk to their Co employees then to help the customers
It was koo
Sometimes slow and order is wrong at times
This place has curt unhelpful staff and they consistently under fill frys. It is a poor example of how MacDonalds should be run.
Myself and my co-workers eat lunch all up and down the valley. Worst meal we have ever had. The burgers were old. No COKE. Low grade dog food. So sad for the owner. So sad. No wonder it wasn’t busy at lunch.Never again. What a joke
8. Exeter Mercantile Co
Address: 258 E Pine St, Exeter, CA 93221 , Exeter , California , United States
Every time I come visit my brother we stop by here and see what is new and unique
Alot of great treasures
Could spend all day there! So much to see
Wow, I couldn’t believe how many vendor’s was in there, lots of good stuff
Great little stop in the middle of nowhere. It’s a huge place with a wide variety of items. You could easily spend 2+ hours looking at everything. If you’re in the area, stop in.
Awesome place to visit and most of all to shop for for antiques and one of a kind pieces.
Rude!
Good old things
I wasn’t happy with the prices or the merchandise. I thought the prices we’re very high compared to many of the antique shops I’ve been to, except for the tourist traps in places like Cambria. But you kind of expect to pay more in high traffic areas, which is why I was so upset with this place. It’s so far off the beaten path that it’s not touristy or trappy. So I really can’t understand how they determine their prices. Especially since you can drive five minutes into downtown and get better prices on similar items.
10. White’s Music Center
Address: 100 E Caldwell Ave, Visalia, CA 93277 , Exeter , California , United States
I have been going to White’s off and on for maybe 20 years? Some long-time staff are cool and extremely helpful, and I have also walked out when I was ready to lay down 7 to 800 bucks on a guitar because of the rude sales clerk they had at that time. They are the last of the local “mom & pop” music stores we’ve had in town over the years. I avoid Guitar Center with a passion and prefer to go to White’s when I can but, similar to Wal-Mart & Lowe’s compared to Ace hardware & your local department store (which there are few left), it’s hard to pay 5 bucks for an item you can get for 2 at the mega box store. Overall I like White’s but I have had a few bad experiences there (however the people who were rude seem to pass through, Guitar Center is almost ALWAYS rude as if it is corporate policy) in my experience.
Be careful of the instrument rental contracts here, very shady. There are many other options to rent instruments from places nearby, and I would recommend going with a place like Guitar Center over this one if you want an honest and straightforward agreement. We were told by the owner, Robert, at a rental night that we pay monthly on the balance until the value of the instrument is paid off. When automatic payments stopped getting charged, we assumed it was because the instrument was paid off. After a year, we got a notice from a collections agency saying we owed almost $1000 in rental charges, without any prior notification from Whites music that there was still any kind of balance on the account. Whites music claimed that the reason charges had stopped was that the expiration date on the card expired, and that we would have needed to go in and state that we wanted to own the instrument or we would continue to be charged for renting. The owner, Robert, was very rude to us on the phone and hung up on us when we asked questions about the music contracts. Other workers there said the person in charge of sending out notifications of the account being past due had recently been fired and refused to say anything else about the notifications not being sent out. One worker, Joseph, stated, “Are you in the habit of not reading the fine print on contracts?” in response to inquiries. If you rent from this company, you need to read carefully and keep careful records. Their contracts are set up in a way to take advantage of people, with a stipulation in fine print saying that you have to take additional measures then what is told to you on first signing. Furthermore, they are not afraid to lie about their services or speak unkindly to customers. It is apparent that Robert sees his business as a way to make money and that is all. He does not care about his customers, and he doesn’t care to run an honest business.
Update: After reading the owner’s reply, you should know that they did not lose money on this deal. This is a shady comment in itself, because they are referring to a small fee that was paid to the collections agency for them taking on the account. White’s Music received a payment in rental fees of over $400 from myself and the trumpet was returned to account for the other fees. They made hundreds of dollars as a result of this deal, not including the value of the trumpet which they can now rent out again. The owner also mentions the contract continuously as a reason why it is okay to behave the way they did. My dilemma has, and continues to be, that I received no notification of any late fees before being sent to collections. This dilemma was never responded to and the owner did not make up for this oversight. This company did not go out of it’s way to help me with this matter. They took a lot of money from me and did it in a dishonest way. If you notice, the owner makes no mention of hanging up on me, being rude, or the comment made by the employee about how I should have read the fine print on the contract more carefully. This business believes that it is established and it’s long-standing history with the community can make up for poor practices, and that as long as something is written into a binding contract, they can swindle people however they want. Just because this company once had an honest reputation in years past does not mean it continues to be that way.
I ordered a piano book from this store and was told it would be there in two days. When I called to see if it was in I was told to call back. Well it’s been about 10 days and no book. when I called to ask about it the guy said still not in,.when I said do I need to go somewhere else to get it, the jerk says sure we’ll just cancel your order. Thanks a lot for wasting ten days of my life and now my granddaughter has to go to piano practice two weeks in a row without the supplies she needs!
Never has anything in stock. Had to go to Guitar Center’s Percussion Department for what I needed.
