Cool old school music store!! Will definitely be going back!
Very good staff
Awesome independent music equipment store! Ask about the tube harmonica!
See Derrick. My first experience here and he was a great help. No high pressure sales here. So far, I’m pleased. I’ll report more in the future.
These guys are awesome. They’re not pushy salesman/saleswomen. They have a vast array of equipment and instruments. They are very helpful with any questions you have. 4 stars is only because of ONE issue. Their building is offset from the road, just enough that the faces of other buildings, block the storefront. A sign at the right of way would make it more easy to find.
Very nice guitar selection. Certified Gibson dealer so that is always a plus. Also, the carry quite a few beautiful used Martin’s. Friendly, helpful staff will assist you in any questions or concerns to make your experience there enjoyable.
Rude never going back
I like to support local businesses and buy my guitars local. But being turned away because of not wearing a mask when The CDC even says it ok to go with out a mask is down right bad business! Every other music store including “Guitar Center” no longer requires mask. I was coming in to buy a les Paul standard 60’s that I have been saving for and was looking forward to buying today but because of your mask policy I will order my Les Paul online. Sad thing is I liked your store. Just thought whom ever runs the place should know what their dumb mask policy is costing them.
Remember when is better!!
3. Guitar Center
Address: 6927 N 9th Ave, Pensacola, FL 32504 , Ferry Pass , Florida , United States
First time ever in a music store for myself. I don’t know squat about how to play a guitar. I am 60 and that is about to end. Prices were reasonable and great service. I will return.
Great place, pleasant atmosphere, helpful folks, my favorite music store
Wonderful customer service! And beautiful selection! Definitely recommend!!
Joey and Kel were great. Joey help with some gear questions and sold ne a mixer. Kel fixed some issues of lessons from last year
That the customer service is really great.
Hard to get waited on…..limited inventory on hand.
I went there because their website said they had several brands onhand which their competitor did not. Their selection was terrible, and I had trouble holding the attention of a salesperson. When finally I did pin one down, it took over a half hour to get them to order an instrument off their own online site. The salesman said to expect a week for delivery. I asked that it be delivered to the store, so they could check it for defects and set it up. The receipt said to expect 7-10 days. It’s been 10 days, and it’s still not at the store. I expect another day after it finally arrives, for set up; but wouldn’t be surprised if it takes a week. Avoid them, ever after.
I used to love Guitar Center in Pensacola. Customer service was terrific, selection was great, and I enjoyed shopping there. I was excited to see it come back after it closed a few years ago. The selection is still great, and the store looks incredible, but the customer service is severely lacking.
No one spoke to me the whole time I was there, which is fine, but still not typical of a place like Guitar Center. I went to check out and there were about four employees standing around talking. I had to get the attention of one of them so I could check out. The cashier (His name was Clark according to the receipt) was very cold, and acted like the whole process of ringing up my purchase was a major inconvenience for him. He asked me for my name, which I told him I preferred not to provide since I typically elect not to share personal information when I make purchases, and he passive aggressively slammed on the keyboard before informing me “Well I have to put something”. Furthermore, when I was putting my credit card in the reader to pay, without saying anything, he walked away from the counter to talk to another customer, while there were three people standing behind him who could have done it since he was in the middle of checking me out. I had to flag him down and get his attention to get a receipt. Maybe he was having a bad day or something, but still. This is not a way to treat paying customers. It shows a lack of professionalism and respect for customers. I will probably utilize other music stores like Leitz Music or Blues Angel from now on.
Most Guitar Center locations are staffed by musicians who have done their time on the stage or in the studio or by techs who have done time behind a console or amp rack. Not here. These pips don’t know a G string from a g-string. Pompous, with attitudes unsupported by experience. On top of all this they have no consideration for personal needs. Keep in mind that not everyone not wearing a mask is being a jerk. Some have medical reasons for not wearing them.
If you are serious about gear, avoid the Pensacola location.

I got one heck of a deal on some Christmas records and the guy was very helpful !
Friendly staff, great selection, good prices
Older gent in his house packed with an AMAZING record collection. First timers get 30% off (shhh) an incredible selection.
A pretty decent record store in Pensacola, the guy behind the counter was friendly and helped me out. The store was organized into proper sections which is nice. The prices were not bad for most of the vinyl as well. Worth a stop for sure, but not the best record store in Florida.
They have a big selection.
Been to Remember Wynn several times and have enjoyed their selection…but I just had an experience that blew me away. I called several days ago and asked about turntables they had for sale and J, the record guy, told me to call back and talk to Wynn…well, he more or less barked that at me – like he was in the middle of something – which is ok…and I just wanted maybe an idea of what turntables they had in the back. Anyway, I called back and talked with Mr Wynn…very nice and informative and had me more or less sold on a turntable. I called back today and said I was planning on coming in and checking out the turntable on Saturday and was it plugged in so I could check it out. Well, it was almost like that offended J and he told me that Mr Wynn checked it out and if he said it’s good it’s good and no reason to test it. Then he said Mr Wynn would be in the store after 1pm and I said I had something else going on and would be there in the morning if that was ok. He said sure….I then asked him if he was authorized to haggle the price with me. “We don’t haggle – we are white people here” Which took me back and I was silent and then J said – and he sounded aggitated, what the price is is what the price is, we are not a thrift store. I mentioned that he has given me discounts on album many times in the past and he responded that was his business and electronics were Mr Wynn’s department. I apologized for offended him and hung up. Sad – because there are only a few good record stores and I enjoyed going up there but if I show up tomorrow asking to look at that turnrtable J will probably kick my ass.
I stopped by at noon on a Tuesday, the place was locked up tight with no one around. According to the posted hours it should have been open. I’ll change my rating if they update their hours or something.
Went to this store with my 4 girls, sign was posted with business hours stating customers were required to wear masks, spent 20 dollars on masks at Walgreens came back only to find store was closed.
I have been three times. The first time I was basically shot down before I walked in the door. The second time I asked a friend to come along, a male friend and I was offered $80 for the same records I had brought the first time that he basically wouldn’t even bother to look at before. I left with $90. I went a third time and was told “honey, there’s nothing here I can use I have so many of the same already in my sheds. No room for more”.
I’m fairly certain that being a woman with dreads showing up on my bicycle had a lot to do with the way he treated me. Certainly men are not so quickly shunned. Boo on you Mr. Man who seems women not worth the time.
6. The Pensacola Music Company
Address: 2264 La Vista Ave, Pensacola, FL 32504 , Ferry Pass , Florida , United States
Whether you have a young one who you think would benefit from music lessons, or you’ve ever wanted to learn to play an instrument, or even if you’re already rockin’ and want to take your performance to the next level, you’d be hard pressed to find a better place to get that direction than the Pensacola Music Company.
From guitar to brass, to keys, vocal or percussion, they do it all with a friendly smile and a professional attitude. Plus, students get an opportunity to perform at one of their recitals held at a local venue in front of a live crowd: how cool is that?! This place is the real deal: don’t sell yourself short by going anywhere else!!
Michael really helped build my confidence as a musician and taught me a lot about my instrument as well as playing it. I really loved taking lessons here!
This is the most fun I’ve ever had playing music. Mike Lockwood is the best music teacher I’ve had the pleasure of working with. He makes learning to play fun. I look forward to picking up my guitar everyday and challenging myself. Mikes has the ability to convey music theory and practical techniques in an enjoyable way. The Pensacola Music Company has everything a beginning, intermediate or advanced player needs to grow as a musician. Highest marks for The Pensacola Music Company.

Great music shop, especially for band instrument repair and service. They are extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
Love the staff, nearly always have what we need or will get it in ASAP if they don’t.
Great
Excellent repair department.
Very helpful and friendly staff. They have a large variety of instruments and accessories.
Too expensive
Bought a clarinet from them for 1,111.94 was on sale originally 1900. A year later tried to trade it in. They offered 75$. They services this clarinet as well. Upgraded mouth piece. Long story short bad customer service owner wouldn’t even talk to us. Said he had lots of inventory but we saw none in store. Went to Schmitds and they offered a fair price for this and gained a customer. They were extremely nice. He said he gets a customer a week come in mad at these guys. 75$ smh.
I came to the store looking for some help on purchasing my first violin, I ended up getting snubbed. I was trying to get some general information on purchasing and what I needed, instead I was told at least 3 times how expensive they were. I was deffinetly judged upon walking in the door, as it was I had just returned from a trip and did not feel I needed to dress up to go into a music store. In the end I am glad I had this experience because it allowed me the opportunity to find another business that was actually customer service oriented, and was not judgmental. I am now on my second violin and enjoying every minute of it, no thanks to this store.

Jared was awesome. Choice of products was astounding! Really a great experience.
Knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff. The take the time to help out with every aspect of your service needs or purchase. In my case both. I’ll definitely choose them for any future guitar needs.
Love this place! My husband brought his Taylor guitar to have it set-up. We stayed here awhile and looked around. My husband was in guitar heaven! Love their drum aquariums. All the staff are so helpful and friendly. Jim is the best!
This is a great little music shop it has a large selection of instruments and Instrument accessories also the employees were very helpful they helped me find the proper fitting case for my new instrument highly recommend this place for those music lovers looking for anything they need
The staff was so helpful
This store is okay, the people are friendly but they’re a little over-priced.
With the lack of customer service and products I don’t see this company surviving another 2 years with online sales with Companies like sweetwater around I have been loyal customer for years, I will never set foot back on this store! Sad to say Guitar Center won my business on my purchase and treated me a hell of a lot better.
Called about an item that we needed in an urgent situation while traveling and was told it was in stock. Called back to see if I could pay over the phone because I wasn’t sure I could get there before close and was told no, but salesperson said they would put it behind the counter. Called back after driving wide open for over 3 hours to tell them I’d be 6 minutes late and was told they didn’t have the item. No one ever tried to be helpful. I’ve been in sales for over 20 years and this is not how you earn any customers business.
Nice people but I was told that they would buy certain guitars for particular prices, causing me to decline other offers. They did not stick to the pricing. They were not dishonest it was just a misunderstanding among their staff. It was however, a monumental waste of time for me.
