I’ve been doing business with Craig for over 20 years, both buying and selling, trading, and just having a bunch of fun! If I could give 10 stars, I would! One of the most ethical, knowledgeable, and friendly guys in the Vintage Guitar business. Super easy transactions, super flexible, no nonsense, 100 % Happy! Thanks Craig and Patti! Enjoy the Carl Thompson Battle Bass ! It’s a killer piece of history 🙂 I’m Rick, from “Rick’s Vintage Guitars and Repairs”, and I approve Guitar Broker! lol 🙂
An amazing neighborhood guitar store with a huge variety of excellent quality guitars bases in a few surprises for performance car lovers too.
Craig has been supplying musicians with just the right instrument for decades… Generations of guitarist I found those special instrument hanging on the walls at his shop.
He had a great collecting of rare and unusual instruments including ultra rare collectors guitars and bases.
He had a web based mailing list so you can keep up with his newest finds..
Craig’s a great guy. Cool guitars, each with a unique story. Worth the stop if you’re around.
I Ordered a $2000 Bass Guitar From This Place.
It Arrived, I Plugged It Up, and NOTHING. No Signal. I Checked The Batteries, They We’re so Old, They We’re Swollen Out of Shape. I Replaced The Batteries, Got a Signal.
I Tried to Adjust The Sound, and Each Control Was Scratchy and Full of Static. I Sent It Back, at My Own Expense, and They Refused to Refund My Initial Shipping Cost.
Very Unprofessional, Rude and Inconsiderate.
I Will Never Spend Another Dime There.
– Go Shop Somewhere Else.

Very rude, I called to ask a question and for whatever reason they don’t want to be helpful whatsoever. Don’t support this business

There are few people that know more about pianos than Nick. If you are in the market for a piano in live in Fort Lauderdale or the surrounding area, do yourself a favor and check his showroom out. He has a tremendous selection and amazing prices!
I bought a 6’2” Brodmann piano with player. Nick really treated me right!
Solid Experience. Honest brokers at Nick’s Showroom.
I have 40+ year experience as a piano technician in Brevard and Orange County. One of my clients purchased their piano form Nick many years ago. Nick just hired me to make sure his customer was taken care of properly. To me, that says a lot about a company.

Great buying experience at MAE. Worked with Teddy who expertly set up a lovely new Telecaster for me and suggested a great bag for it. After playing the guitar for a few hours at home, I can say that it plays and sounds fantastic. Thank you, Teddy! I look forward to returning to MAE for any future guitar services I need.
Great place! The guitar repair person was very friendly and helpful.
Very helpful
Honestly this place is pretty great. Prices are competitive and you can get anything musical here. Staff is super friendly. They even have a set of retro fishbowl shaped drums upstsirs.
Friendly staff, good selection of musical instruments and equipment. Not very well organized and displayed but still worth the visit. Been in business for a long time.
Very courteous staff present
Slow customer service.
Came in from another county because the pictures, I didn’t take any new ones but the lighting is dank or non-existent nowhere as bright as shown on Google maps. All the equipment looks old or used but the prices are full retail new. Attention was minimal and no mention of being able to work on price.
I brought my keyboard to fix and was trying to explain what was wrong with the piano but the answer me with actitud he is not the technician and, That I had to leave the piano so they can check it.they called me a the next week the piano is ready when I get there they charged me $220 I requested to check the piano before I go home And, the hadn’t fixed. Then they kept the piano for over a month and then called me saying the the mother board needs to be replace , and just the mother boad cost $500 plus labor . I do not recommend this place to have you equipment fixed.

“Music emporium” , speaks for itself . That’s the felling I get every time I visit Armando’s store . Armando does a great job “at not just teaching” ,but also at helping you understand instruments a lot better! My daughter love’s music and every time she needs or WANTS a new guitar, I make a visit to Armando’s store.
He also is great at teaching as far as my daughter says!
Keep up the great work.
This is my favorite guitar store- amazing people work here! Today, I went to have my acoustic guitar repaired, restrung, and spruced up, and I was helped by the friendliest gentleman, Armando. I was able to drop it off and pick it up the very same day. I love this place!
Highly recommended! Best selection of ukuleles in town. Service very friendly and proficient. Thank you, Armando.
I love to visit the Penny Lane Emporium! The ambience of the store when I walk in gives me just that warm fuzzy feeling of a cozy down home “pickin’ parlor”! The wide selection of quality musical instruments and accessories, combined with a dedicated and knowledgeable teaching staff makes it a great “one stop music shop” for pro and beginner alike. I especially enjoy the monthly (first Thursday) bluegrass jam sessions where fellow musicians can gather to play and exchange musical ideas in a fun and relaxed setting. Regardless of your musical skill level, you can have a wonderful time pickin’ and singin’ at The Penny Lane Emporium!
TERRIBLE ! I WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE!
I went to Penny Lane about a week or so ago and spoke to Trey about
music lessons for my children . This Tuesday Armando called me to tell
me it was 6:30 and he was wondering where the children were for their
music lessons. I told him there was nothing ever schelduled. He says
he talked to me the last Monday and called me to confirm their appts
for this past Tuesday I told him I most certainly did not speak to him nor
did I scheldule any appts for my children I was however awaiting a call
back from Trey. He asked me what I was going to do about this ? I said well
let’s scheldule for next Tuesday he said yes if I would like to pay for the cancelled
appt I never made I told him no why would I pay for something I never scheduled
nor did I ever sign a contract. So are we going to make it for next Tuesday and
Armando said no I don’t think so and hung up. What is that? How can he expect
pmt for lessons I never schelduled?! I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone!
Not a fan, I found them very unprofessional and unreliable when it comes to a music store.
Owner seems like an honest guy but do NOT use for repairs of Digital Pianos. I was charged 95 dollars for a repair and as you can see in the photos the the key of A is clearly not aligned so it still does not play properly. They sent the piano out to be fixed and the repair guy wanted an ADDITIONAL 30 dollars for a part to fix it. Total cost would be 125.00 to make the repair. Charging 95 dollars and giving me back a piano that still does not work is unacceptable. This is NOT the place to take your digital piano for repairs. I can not speak for any other aspect of the store other than the Owner does seem like genuine guy.
*****Addition*** To respond to the owners reply I now have to take back my assessment of him as honest because I was certainly never told you would fix it at no charge other than the part or I would have agreed, You should have just let the review stand and not thrown in a lie to try and make yourself look better. If you’re willing to lie once you will certainly do it again. I recommend EVERYONE take their business elsewhere.

Great place to explore many, many types of instruments. Fun place to visit. Great staff too!
Customer service is their priority, Inwould strongly recommend their service for any instrument repair in the Broward county and Miami area .
Mitch is not only a personable guy, but knows his guitar repair!
He set up my ES335 and did an outstanding job. Plays like a dream.
Super fast turn around. I highly recommend Mitch for your guitar/instrument care. A+.
Unique place worth visiting. Lots of guitar from second hand
Horrible service. This guy will promise you the world and deliver nothing. His work is extremely poor. His turnaround time is even worse. This is one irresponsible business owner/operator. Take your business elsewhere. Don’t trust your hard earned money with this guy.
Do not go here. The owner doesn’t know how to fix guitars.
I am dumbfounded anyone can be giving this place more than one star. Complete hack. Brought a guitar in for a routine procedure, was most sloppy, amaturish job I could ever imagine. If you value your instrument at all, avoid this place at all costs. This is not a place for serious musicians or collectors. Is a tourist hole at very best. Beware.
I definitely recommend! Mark helped me with the perfect piano for my family and I. He even assisted with the delivery and getting us set up. Five stars!
Excellent selection and customer service! Traveled a couple hours to try out a Yamaha P515, which I have been wanting to purchase. Did not want to buy online without playing. Even had one in White, which I could not find in stock online. After an hour our so trying out different models, (some which were not on display but they made available to play.) I left undecided. 🙁 Did some research and decided to purchase a P125. I will be using to gig. The P125 weighs 23 lbs vs 48 for the P515. I called the next day to see if they had a White one in stock. Yes was the answer! I had it shipped and received the next day by 10 A.M. You won’t get that type of service anywhere else. Thanks Piano Showcase!
I pruchased a Yamaha Baby Grand from Piano Showcase in Feb 2016. Mark is a true professional. He explained what to look for in a Piano in precise terms. I had spent many hours on line reading about Pianos and Mark provided even more knowledge. Mark is a great piano player and he played song after song so that I could hear he was selling an excellent product. The delivery was terrific also. I reccommend you check-out piano showcase. You won’t be disappointed.
I had an upright I needed to store for a short while and chose PS after a brief internet search. Long story short I didn’t want to setup an auto pay with my debit card and unfortunately ended up missing a payment due to hurricane Irma soaking up my resources. Essentially I forgot I hadn’t paid and only realized I missed it when I received a statement at the end of the month reflecting a $125 late fee charged at $5/day. More than my monthly rate for storage. Granted I was late and forgot, I found that to be excessive. It should have a cap on it rather than charging indefinitely. I asked for a break on the charge and was flat out denied. Needless to say I paid up and got my piano out of there as soon as possible. Most I can say is make sure you understand their policy before doing business with them. Upon making arrangements to move the piano out at the beginning of the current month they had the nerve to tell me I wasn’t going to be charged for said month. What does that tell you?
Edit: I was attempting to delete the original review after owner did call to apologize for his attitude and the fact that he’s having a bad day. However google doesn’t let you. He also did attempt to give 2 numbers to possibly assist on a repair. So I am adjusting my review to 4 stars
In regards to owner response below, being that your in a small business and that your search page reports repairs. It shouldn’t matter where a person made their purchase .
If you possibly change your mindset you could possibly have more business from such calls.
A variety of pianos both new and used, all the way up to a $100,000+ Schimmel; everyone was very helpful.
Though it may sound out of place, strategically placed chairs and a television kept my young son busy and let my friend relax while I was “in another world” looking at the pianos.
We were looking for a used piano for our son, but unfortunately had the worst experience in this place. The owner was insulting and clearly did not like us, for whatever reason. He was rude, and the sales staff seems overworked and miserable. We felt unwelcome. I think this place used to be highly recommended, but recently just went downhill. I would not shop there.
Owner is Rude!!!!!!! Would never ever ever ever do business with this Jerk!
Mark is a cunning and deceptive man. Sold me a defective digital keyboard under false pretense. I would save the trouble and find business elsewhere.

Happy to find these gem not expensive at all !! Come and support a local business
Vinyl Destination is a gem. They have such a great selection of vinyls in a wide variety of genres and the owners cultivate such an incredible and friendly costumer atmosphere. The records are priced very fairly and are really great quality. 10/10 recommend this place.
It is a small space, but the selection is great. And it’s very well organized.
Little in the way of anything EX and beyond for my visit, though to be fair he does actually grade the records. Was a little disappointed at the plethora of somewhat tatty, or ringworn VG’s. I didn’t see anything in the way of reissues or remasters at all, but it’s a small shop with obvious space limitations.
The owner plays records, (Maybe he’s grading them) while you browse on something tinny and almost devoid of bass, amusingly two of the records skipped. Prices are reasonable though, no complaints there, and I did find three albums I would have bought had they been in better shape.
I’d really looked forward to my visit and arrived with cash in pocket, so was disappointed I left with nothing. I prefer to buy a record once and not end up on the ubiquitous upgrade path, so was looking for NM- to SS (NOS) LP’s. “Suit yourself” was the farewell proffered. I Doubt I’ll be back.
There’s a TON packed into this little shop. Mainly used vinyl. Owner is super nice and willing to play anything you want to hear. Everything is sleeved and graded. I like the attention to detail and they have a lot of oddball vinyl.
I’d give this place a 4, but it’s just so small and hard to maneuver around. I fell that if he had space to spread out, the shop would be a lot more user friendly
Despite excellent musical selections , the owner is a 100% TOOL IMO
Was chatting him up about music and then he abruptly asks “ Are u going to buy anything, cause I have work to do”
Really …
Then just say excuse me , I have some paperwork to do.
First , Browsers become customers if you respectfully engage with them.
Second, if you truly loved music, ud relish conversation with another fan whether they purchased anything or not.
So IMO ur just in it for a buck and not the love of music .
But thats cool , we all need to eat.
Alls Im saying is other shops have equal or better inventory but have some soul about the magic of music and the industry they represent.
That is the type of people and authenticity I will seek when I spend my $$ on vintage music.
Def stop in and browse before or after a movie at Gateway or dinner at Canyon or Mulino.
Fight ur way past the owner smoking out front and engage him in conversation
See if he treats you as you deserve to be if you dont make a purchase within a few minutes.
Cool inventory
Deplorable people skills
Aloha
