I’m a huge fan of Laredo Taco Co and was willing to make the drive but I could not have ever expected the experience we had. Domini, first of all needs a raise, because WOW!! what an asset. I can honestly say she provided legitimately the best customer service experience I’ve ever received in Colorado. The whole team at this store was outstanding, I’m absolutely impressed! Thanks again to Domini, we will definitely make the drive again.
Absolutely love the energy, i would love to work with this store cause the energy…
Pulled in with a mechanical issue. Fixed it and was on our way
This 711 is always dirty and they never stock anything, always out of everything. The pop machine has been out since they opened and ran out.
Their fuel pumps, pay at the pump, often don’t work correctly! Can’t read the debit/ credit cards, don’t recognize the PINs, and can’t get a receipt. I’ve gone into the store a number of times to report problems, but no one seems to care.
Going downhill quickly, done fueling company trucks here.. none of the pumps print receipts, very dirty for how new it is, terrible customer service, employees are always rude. Sad.. I can only imagine the management.

Low prices / small business / no wheelchairs / access limits..
Was told by an employee that a bounce house was tested by the owner to be in good condition. It was set up when I got home, the blower was way to small for the unit. I used a much better blower to blow it up. There were so many holes covered with tape that it would not hold air, it also had mold over most of the unit. It was definitely not suitable for a young child.
I was told that it was not returnable and no refund. I understand those terms but I do expect honesty from a business regarding merchandise. This store is not good for our community or its families.

I needed a string for my guitar. The bottom e if you have to know. These people not only gave me a string they put it on and tuned it up for me and when they heard a little bit of my backstory didn’t charge me not one red cent. Love this store love this type of service hope that these people stay around for a long time and do a lot of business. Please visit them as soon as you can.

Ayumi is a talented piano teachers for adults! I came to Happy Players Piano Club without any background in music, but she explained music theory in a clear and easy way to understand. She was also extremely patient with me throughout the process. If you’ve ever been slightly curious about picking up the piano I definitely recommend seeing Ayumi, I’ve discovered a new passion through her!!
I would highly recommend Happy Players Piano club to anyone learning the piano; from beginner to experts and everything in between. Ayumi is so kind and teaches you specifically tailored to you, which is something you don’t see done well often.

10. Woods & Son Piano Company
Address: 14929 Harrison St., Brighton, CO 80602 , Fort Lupton , Colorado , United States
Working with Joe Woods was a pleasure! He has a wide variety of excellent pianos. I’ve shopped most of the piano stores in the Denver metro area and found varying results from them, however, when you go to Joe’s place you know that the pianos are going to be excellent! Not to mention that he sells a couple of the absolute best piano brands made, Bluthner and August Forster.
I think it would be difficult to find a better group of pianos than what Joe has.
I bought a brand new August Forster 190, and the whole process has been enjoyable. I was especially happy when it was delivered today, with Joe himself making absolutely certain it was perfect for us.
Thanks so much Joe!
After visiting several piano dealers and private sellers from Craigslist, I found a perfect preowned baby grand at Woods & Son Piano Company. The owner and technicians are knowledge, honest, and hardworking. When we had an issue with the piano after it was delivered, they took care of it in a professional and pleasant manner which I appreciated very much. They have high end unique pianos that you cannot see anywhere else in this area. They also have budget friendly used pianos for beginners. This company is a jewel in the piano industry.
After extensive research, I selected to work with Joe of Woods & Son to buy my new August Forster piano over 10 years ago. I couldn’t have been happier. Honest, fair, great selection of the best pianos, let me try the piano as much as I wanted before buying and followed up purchase with excellent service. I recently had to sell my piano and worked with Joe again with the same great experience. If you’re in the market for a new or used high end piano, I highly recommend working with Joe!
Great!
They are advertising a 1970s Yamaha on their website as a 2011. This was pointed out to them weeks ago, and the ad remains, uncorrected. BUYER BEWARE! See attached screenshot.
11. Wholly Stromboli
Address: 410 Denver Ave, Fort Lupton, CO 80621 , Fort Lupton , Colorado , United States
This place is amazing! My friend has been talking about it for a year. So I finally made him take me tonight. I am in heaven!
Excellent food, great service…management does a superb job for people who have special dietary needs/food allergies such as severe Celiac disease
Great decore, great service, surprising for the location. Lives it and will be back many many times
It was great but they messed up on my girlfriends gluten free lunch they had to remake it and it took them a very long time to do it when they was not even that busy at all.
We love this place! Small but so good and worth the wait time. The waiters and waitresses are amazing! We have our favorites for sure but love them all. The reason for the missing star is that they removed our favorite pizza from the menu but were told we can always order as a create your own, which is a bit more expensive bit we will still pay it!!. However, some people get a little snippy about it when we do order it. All in all, so happy they made it through the covid disaster and can’t wait to sit back down and eat and drink here again!!
Tried to order food to go, they won’t make Italian nachos to go, but I could order in the restaurant and then ask for a box to go, pay and then leave. You could still make them and not put the sauce on it, let the customer do it, chips won’t be soggy when they get home? Ordered from somewhere else tonight.
Ambiance was nice, food was lack luster and fairly greasy. Servers were polite.
Our server, Jen, was so cool and fun. The food was not cool, or fun. I’ll probably have trouble removing my shoes later. Ingredients were perfectly prepped inside my Stromboli however, I think the Munster is to salty. Plus, they must have dumped garlic salt and possibly imitation butter on top of the whole thing before baking. Don’t trust the other reviews. Greasy and salty is the only flavor. My stomach hurts.
12. RMN Events
Address: 13015 Co Rd 16, Fort Lupton, CO 80621 , Fort Lupton , Colorado , United States
Middle School State Tournament ran flawlessly. The music and lights got the wrestlers pumped up for competition!
My son loves competing in RMN events. The put on some of the best wrestling tournaments we’ve been a part of. We are looking forward to Who’s Bad National Classic at the end of December!
Fun tournaments.
Excellent place
$20 to weigh in Thursday plus $15 for parking. Friday, $15 for parking $60 to get in the door… WRESTLED ONE MATCH AND WERE DONE FOR THE DAY BY 9:15AM. Saturday, $15 for parking, $60 to get in the door. Thankfully wrestled 3 matches but we’re done around 1pm. Why couldn’t this have been a one day tournament??? Back for dual tournament today… Guess what??? $15 for parking and $60 to get in the door. Pretty sure this will be our last RMN Event. Sad.
I did the Rocky Mountain Nationals as my 1st RMN event. I entered my 3 boys in the individual folkstyle and had 2 of my sons on dual teams. I have to say I feel that RMN is a big rip off. The weigh-in fees, parking costs, coach band fees, extending small brackets into two days to get you back into their building for a 2nd day was all way too unnecessary. Plus, high individual costs to wrestle per kid. An eight man bracket does not take 2 days, well it does with RMN. Paid $105 to weigh in, parking and weigh in fees. teams in duals and they gave out cheep small coins to the kids. The kids 3rd and 4th place individual metals were unimpressive for a national tournament. I have never complained about costs and fees to wrestle but this is the 1st time I feel riped off. I had my kids dual gear stolen while he was wrestling. The building was dirty and dusty. The 1st two days of the 4 day event their was bumper to bumper traffic to get to their building. Competition was very good and the refs were very polite but so much strategically unnessary money grabbing has me giving a 1 star and no interest to return to RMN. Go to USA wrestling events and NuWay events if you can. Nuway Nationals were so much bigger, better and in a nice clean venue. Plus no parking fees.. Nuway and USA wrestling had 2 day national tournaments not 4 days.
We are a big wrestling family. My kids and their friends love to get all the mat time they can get. We have been to many RMN events around the country. To me it seems RMN events is about making money more than it is about the kids. I am not complaining about the prices charged.
Cons: they do not offer trophies to rookie divisions.
They hold events in little towns where there are no airports and limited hotel options and little to no accommodations. Farmington for one example. Farmington is awful to stay in.
Staff is not always the friendliest or accommodating. I have been to a few tournaments where they did not have enough refs or staff to even efficiently run the meet.
13. Guitar Hut
Address: 1385 Forest Park Cir #106, Lafayette, CO 80026 , Fort Lupton , Colorado , United States
Evan is awesome. Got my guitar fixed in less than 10 minutes
Evan has worked on a couple of my guitars and the results have always been excellent.
I went in to have a guitar looked at and have some repairs done. The repair guy, Evan, had just left for the day when I arrived. Gillian still had the store open and called Evan, and he gladly came right back to the shop to help me out! Both Evan and Gillian well extremely helpful. They were both very knowledgeable and willing to share information on how to take better care of my instrument. Not like a lot of these other places you go where everything is a secret or you have to pay for information. The work I needed done was simple but Evan explained everything as he worked right in front of me. He only charged me a few dollars for the repair. Then we jammed for half an hour before I had to take off. The absolute definition of excellent service!! I would give them more stars if I could! I will be back guys, thanks again!!
I had these guys take a look at a signature bass of mine. It had some electrical problems going on with it that were a bit out of their knowledge base but Evan is great guy. Very honest and very hard working. I will return with any other problems I have in the future and I would recommend them. Their pricing is very fair and they are willing to help out customers any way they can.
I called to sign my boys up for guitar lessons and had a few options worked out and was told I would be called back to confirm which times worked. I never heard back. Then, when I called back to confirm options, I was told they didn’t have any of my information logged and there were no longer any time slots available for lessons.
Everyone I have met there seems very nice, but very poorly organized.
14. Gravity Music Gear
Address: 6487 Federal Blvd, Denver, CO 80221 , Fort Lupton , Colorado , United States
I wanted to say these guys are awesome and an honest group of people. They have some good guitars and worked with me on one that I really liked. I would definitely come check them out in the future for the next guitar…and the next….
Guys are cool and always up for trades. They are willing to work with you to get the gear you want at a great trade or price. Never a bad experience.
Picked up a great used Thunderbird today. The two gentlemen working were super nice and helpful. They really do have amazing gear here, can’t wait to stop by again!
Got used drum parts cheaper than new
Good place, little pricey.
Always a good experience selling and buying!
Recently made them an offer for a hi-hat they had listed on an online auction site. Their admin laughed at my offer and told me next time I want something to “not be so cheap”! Do not do business with such rude people.
Bought an amp from these guys one ebay. It arrived with the wrong parts and broken. They refused a refund. Buy somewhere else.
Main guy was very mean when I asked him for help. Don’t visit has terrible amps and they are not trustworthy and they are broken. Bad Store Low Quality Bad Worker. DO NOT VISIT YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT they used bad words at me when all I asked was do you know how to fix this not I want my money back or return just do you know how later that day we went to a professional electrical engineer who could fix the amp for us I just feel like he tried to make it seem like we were the bad guys, DONT GO HERE.
Very nice guitar room. I bought a very nice fender acoustic there.
Brought my guitars to Rob for a setup & adjustments, I was very pleased with the quality of service and how fast he was able to complete everything. He gave me some great tips as well. Thanks to Jen (if I have that name correctly) for the friendly customer service over the phone.
Highly recommend!
Why go to Guitar Center when you can get better and friendlier help at Spotlight!
The atmosphere is friendly, and this is clearly not a corporate chain establishment. Unfortunately, they no longer carry Taylor guitars.
.
nice selection of guitars and equipment ,and associated equipment … of string’s piks & suff!
I’ve got a Breedlove Stage Pursuit, 7 years old, played nearly an hour every day. Prob needs some setup by July 1 for getting back on-platform at Timberline Church. Do you have a tech available (a number of guitar stores – including Guitar Center – say they don’t have one anymore) who could do the work? Would love not to have to drive up to Cheyenne or down to Denver. Thanks.
I came to Spotlight to pick out a starter violin as an adult learner. When I Arrived, the crew seemed friendly enough, but were completely unknowledgeable (about anything other than guitars) and not of much help. I probably shouldn’t have bought a violin at this point, but I needed one to begin lessons so I went for it. I was told that the store has a 7 day return policy, so I figured it was all good. I happily bought my violin and went home and had my first lesson. In the short time I began to figure out more of what I was doing, I decided I needed a larger violin to fit me. I took it back to the store before my seven days were up and was told, “This is a commissioned instrument. We can’t return or exchange it.”
NOBODY EVER TOLD ME IT WAS COMMISSIONED NOR DID IT HAVE ANY TAGS OR MARKINGS THAT WOULD SUGGEST SO.
Also, when I bought it, the fine tuning pegs were put on backwards and upside down and it was not strung my anyone who knew what they were doing. You’d think as such “professionals” they would inspect the instruments they put on the floor. After all of this, they never offered any consolation for my waste of a $250 violin plus the money I spent at a real music store to fix it. I guess I should have just known it was commissioned through magic or something. Don’t waste your time. If you want to deal with professionals, head to Boomers Music Company, Music Go Round, or hell, even Guitar Center. Literally anywhere. A pawn shop maybe?
Thanks, Spotlight, for your fantastic customer service.
These people are the biggest rip-off artists in the world.
Selling defective guitars and equipment. ..
These are all factory seconds, and cheap cheap cheap Chinese knock offs…
It was the worst customer service. All I needed was my guitar tuned up. I was given a time quote for when the guitar would be finished. When I called to ask about the guitar after the time quoted, some one told me, it wasn’t done and it would be another 3-4 days. When I asked why I was told the original time frame, and what changed that a tune up would take 5 days instead of the 1-2 I was originally quoted, the response I got was, “Well, I don’t know what to tell you.” The customer service was deplorable. I decided to go pick it up with out the work being done. When I picked it up and made a comment about why couldn’t someone have figured out how to quote it correctly, or at least notify me when they realized it was going to be longer, the guy I spoke with at the shop was rude, and even suggested that the reason it wasn’t done was somehow my fault. So, not only did I have to go pick up a guitar after it was not worked on I was then told I was also my fault that the it never got worked on. After years of me having exclusively shopped at Spotlight. I will never ever return.- As a local business I expected that customer service mattered. The current employees don’t reflect any of those values that I assume the owner does, unless I’m wrong and the employees DO reflect the values of the owner….unfortunate.
16. Boomer Music Company
Address: 3761 S Mason St, Fort Collins, CO 80525 , Fort Lupton , Colorado , United States
The gal that I asked for help was incredibly nice, knowledgeable and helped me pick the perfect gift!
All your music needs in one stop!
Knowledgeable and helpful people!
Very helpful staff
Needing a larger selection of classical piano solos
It was pretty great. I got my trombone fixed for a reasonable price, and bought accessories for almost nothing. Although I had a little trouble with the employees, it was still a nice experience.
We made an appointment to get our bari sax looked at and to get it repaired and drove 3.5 hours to the store when we got there we were told oh no we have to put it in a bag and let it set in our store 5 days then we can look at it and decide if we can fix it or not. that was never told to us on the phone before we made the drive. the person was a total jerk and could careless about or sax I would never recomend using boomer music for any work they just dont understand the meaning of customer service
I wouldn’t get a gift certificate for anyone from this place… My husband tried to use his after just a few years and they wouldn’t honor it!! It makes it hard to support locally when things like this happen.
Go anywhere else but here!! They quote times for repairs that are so far off. My daughter has waited for her instrument for a month (when it was estimated to take 2-3 weeks) and they just told me another 2 weeks.
They told me I didn’t need instrument insurance for normal wear and tear, and then stung me with the bill that was equivalent to insurance anyway.
This is not the only music place in town….go find another place!
So glad I brought my amp here. It’s 20 years old, and now it sounds brand new! Super good service. Thanks, Tommy!
Brought my JCM800 in for repairs. Thomas was very knowledgeable, professional and was great to deal with. Turnaround was faster than expected and his workmanship is amazing. Will let all my musician buddies know that this is the place to take your amps.
I brought my vintage Peavey Rock Master preamp to Tommy for what was effectively a restoration. It had numerous issues and Tommy got them all fixed. It now sounds brand new. Tommy was quick to respond to my emails and was able to to get my amp back to me in two weeks. A good amp tech is really hard to find, so if you need one I would strongly recommend Tommy at Filament Amp Repair.
Brought a couple amps and a cab for Tommy to fix, and told I just needed them running. The first amp only required a couple tubes and a cap replaced. I pay for the parts and he hits me with a $500 labor bill (on top of $200 in parts) without even consulting me first. He did a bunch of unnecessary work, basically a refurb, without consulting me. I hooked him up with a bunch of studio time a few years ago, and he repays me with an outrageous bill that I didn’t even ask for. I wouldn’t trust him at all.
18. Music Go Round
Address: 2925 S College Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80525 , Fort Lupton , Colorado , United States
Hear ye! Hear ye! Come one come all to the best music store in FOCO!!!! Seriously If you’re your new to the game, a local musician, or just passing through this is your place.
Great Service and Fair Pricing
My guitar was out of commission and I needed it ready for my upcoming gig. The staff at Music Go Round were Rockstars, helped me troubleshoot my guitars issues, and got me back in action in time.
Awesome place
Pricey stuff. But good condition. Great service. Would love to go back and see what else I may want to get in the future
Pretty cool…!!!
Asked about where to repair my amp, told him I had it looked at by a local sound guy that has been repairing amps for decades(including four of mine, which I was very happy with) but wasn’t sure if I wanted to return it to the factory to be refurbished. The guy behind the counter(the manager) took that opportunity to bash the guy I went to(pretty excessively), and try to convince me his amp guy would be better than having it factory refurbished. It was rude, unprofessional and I’m doubt I’ll ever be back in the store.
A little pricey for used
Had good experiences in the past here both buying and selling but chose to offer me $200 for $1500 worth of bass gear. At least guitar center offered me 50% of the total worth. Avoid if you are selling. If you are buying check EVERYTHING over as much of the wind instrument stock has issues.
EDIT: Went back last week to trade another guitar. The salesperson claimed that the neck was twisted (so they of course couldn’t buy it) which was debunked later by a good luthier. I really want to like this store but they don’t employ honest people.
Mr. Brandon Barrios:
I went to Music Go Around today on purpose to give a local business my money rather than Amazon. I left right away, however, as your shopkeeper responded in an unfriendly manner that I was not wearing a mask. I explained that we are an asthmatic family and his ungenerous response was, “I’m an asthmatic, too, and I’m wearing a mask.” It is your prerogative to wear a mask and force your customers to do so, but it is also my prerogative to take my business where I’m not forced to wear a mask that hinders my breathing and does little to nothing to stop the bad flu called covid-19. You just lost the $500-$1000 I was prepared to spend.
19. Shredquarters Studio
Address: 825 S 2nd Ave, Brighton, CO 80601 , Fort Lupton , Colorado , United States
I have found some gems there over the years. I have never left with buyer’s remorse. Every time I go in there is so much new stock. Visa loves Music Go Round because I find myself dropping a lot of bank 3-5 times a year.
Have yet to have an experience that was other than very supportive, friendly and informative. Have bought and traded quite a bit and have only positive things to say. Thanks Guys! RaWk
I’ve been here on several occasions and they are always the nicest and most helpful music store around. No one ever talks down to me or seems annoyed With all my questions. So patient. And affordable!
Great shop! You can expect to pay a little more than average for used fear here, but they are VERY thorough with inspections before they buy. You can trust you will get good gear. Use as a last resort for selling though. They will give you next to nothing for your used gear. They have to make money right. Overall, staff is very friendly and helpful and new gear rolls in pretty consistently which is good and bad news for those of us with incorrigible G.A.S.
Staff is a great bunch of guys who have a grasp of what’s what about musical instruments. It used to be a good place to sell your used appointment. I would give you a a decent price but nowadays they won’t even give you a price better than what a pawn shop will give you. I’ve noticed in last couple of years their prices have gone up. They don’t negotiate the prices, which puts customer at a disadvantage Because condition is a huge part in what you pay. I will still stop in and check their inventory. But not as often as I used to.
Musical Go Round is a great place to find certain used gear at a decent price if you know what you are looking for. It is a fun place to look around. I have bought guitars, sound and drum gear over there. I like the fact that they have a variety of instruments / other gear there too. They also do guitar set ups here too. I have to give Doug props for making my old Squire Affinity play nice again.
Every time I buy gear here something is wrong with it. Just paid $60.00 for a set of Gibson Deluxe tuners. Installed them and two of the cover fell off. Someone had cut the tabs off all the covers. Really tired of the lack of attention to the functionality of the gear they sell. Will not buy here again!
What a scam. Very unfriendly staff, no customer service skills at all
Nice selection of instruments. Prices are on the high side for used equipment. But what really cemented my decision to never go back is that, of the five employees in the store, not one approached me to see if I needed any help. Save your time, money and effort. Go to a different music store.
