Repair service is reliable, but prices for band instrument rentals are twice what Playground charges ($99/mo vs. $45/mo. for the cheapest option on my daughter’s french horn), and Art’s does a hard credit pull. Playground is fine with having a credit card on file, no ding on your credit score for a hard pull.
Very helpful and courteous to children who show an interest in music
I am editing this review from 1 star to four due to the fact that I had to send my trumpet to the shop for the second time. Although extremely disappointed the first time, I must say I am very satisfied with the work done by Mr. Mike Rabig from the Montgomery store. Mike personally contacted me and after a short conversation, I decided to try a second time. My trumpet was returned to me exactly as I expected and was detailed in our conversation. I basically got back a “like new” instrument. Thank you Mike Rabig and the Dothan store manager Ms. Robin for taking care of my trumpet and ensuring customer satisfaction.
The Dothan Art’s Music location is now officially my LAST stop for instruments or accessories. The last few times that I have been into the store I was met with overpriced items and pompous pretentious attitudes. My last visit remains no exception. Unless I need the item immediately (can’t order online) and no other place in town has the item, I will never set foot back in this place.
Super Expensive
I hate the fact that they take all your bank information Debit card checking account before they do a so called credit check. And then don’t get back in touch with you when they say and when you call them, o we sent you a letter on Saturday. But it’s ok. Paying over a thousand for a used instrument is not even worth it. So thanks for doing me the favor and not approving it.

Very reasonable and they the best place to get your equipment service they fix my k Sub an it sounds good
Great service! Great value! Owner on premises and very knowledgeable. Master at his craft. Keep up the good work!
Great experience
I brought a subwoofer to be repaired here and after many attempts are retrieval, the company “lost it” and wouldn’t call me back. If you like having your nice stuff misplaced and companies not willing to help you find it or replace it, then Carousel is your place!
Carol is very friendly, and her prices are extremely reasonable.
Very nice store, owner is very nice and friendly. The store and owner take you back in time that is hard to find in todays world. We will certainly be back.
A lot of items for every one.
Cute little place with lots of antiques, mostly dishes, jewelry, and figurines

Best store to buy musical and good people to deal with
Great place
Great place to Shop and very Friendly people
Great knowledge of product
Might be a great music place but I wouldn’t recommend them for your media computer needs. Ill informed and try to cut corners that don’t need to be cut.
9. Metro Music

Only place I could find to work on one of my instruments, and has done excellent work with other instruments
Shout out to John and Metro Music for having just what I was looking for in a guitar, I love the this guitar you introduced me to John, I appreciate you taking the time and patience to set it in my hands… Godspeed Brother…
Visited Metro a couple times since I have lived in Dothan. There staff is knowledgable and possess a unique technique of helping a customer (that may not be as knowledgable) that doesn’t leave them feeling stupid and frustrated!! They have a great selection of guitars and their prices are fair. By a long shot, in both quality of the product and level of skill, I would say Metro is the best shop that I have visited period. There is a humble quality about the store coupled with talent that makes it a great experience all the way around. I would highly recommend this store (and I do) to anyone that is looking for high quality service and gear, from beginner to expert these are your guys.
Only giving 4 stars because l never give 5. In the event I’m ever truly blown away by a business where am l to go if I’ve already peppered 5 stars everywhere…
That being said, I do repairs and mods from the house. So l usually order my supplies online. I was pleasantly surprised that metro had everything I needed to finish a job in a pinch. They hat the exact 500k pots and capacitors l needed in stock. Knew exactly what l was talking about and had it in my hand and out the door in less than five minutes. At a reasonable price too…
Fun friendly staff
Not very well stocked. Had to go to a different music store for the rest of what my son needed for band, or I could wait a week.

The Christian mission in Geneva is awesome and Natlie and Stephanie are very nice. I enjoy my shopping there every time I go.
Staff is super friendly and helpful. I always shop here when I’m in town.
It was a great lil shopping spot found exactly wat I needed
Very nice and very helpful
Good selection of books just wish their prices weren’t so high
Wonderful service. Some of the items were overpriced for what you expect to see in a thrift store but ultimately it was a good experience for such a small town.
Costly
Expense and messy.
One lady gave a price, got to checkout and another lady gave another price. I’ve been wanting to go in there and I just made my first and last trip. You can buy better stuff at a better price anywhere else.
Great selection of instruments, knowledgeable, and great service when needed.
Bought my daughter a saxaphone here. Great prices and much better quality than the cheap instruments on Amazon.
always a pleasure!
The guys in there are really nice, and they were incredibly helpful getting me started on a new instrument. Very pleasant and knowledgeable
Great customer service and selection. We highly recommend Mike’s music. We have purchased several items and will be returning.
Came back for a second time hoping that it was better than a previous visit which occurred maybe a year ago. Nothing changed! Had a sarcastic attitude and told jokes. This guy has poor customer service. I wouldn’t dare step foot in there again after today.
Will never shop there again. He doesn’t stand behind his product. Brought a brand new keyboard from him and didn’t even have it for 2 months. All of the A#’s/Bb’s went out and he wouldn’t even take a look at it or even offer anything to help fix his shady product. Thought I found a place to get good quality instruments at a reasonable price but definitely was wrong. Now I have to spend more money on a new keyboard. I will never shop at Mike’s Music ever again.
I mean, how do you really rate a McDonald’s. Food came out correctly, but got deadpanned by the window service.
Love it
Fast drive thru, fresh buns, and. HOT fries!
Service was great food was delicious.
Foods ok but some of staff could be a lot more friendlier
Order is never right. Wont serve lunch on time
Update; 3 years later no change, Cold fries no napkins. Drink is flat
waited in line way to long went to hardee’s
I would give 0 stars if I could. Burgers we half off the bun, happy meal missing stuff, caramel macchiatos had no caramel, and the fries were as cold and hard as they could be, this was the second time in a week that they messed up, but when it’s the closest place to go, you really don’t have much other choice. Never again though.
