Rented a violin from here about 6 months ago. First violin the bridge wasn’t in the correct position, I called and within a day they were able to exchange out that violin for another.
From there on everything was smooth! Felt like giving up a loved one when I turned the rental back in. I likely would have done their rental to purchase program had a family member not gifted me a violin of my own.
Highly recommend! The process was smooth and easy and the employee’s super nice!
Trustworthy. Genuine help behind the sales desk and genuine knowledge behind the work bench.
My acoustic guitar had been acting up and Mike was able to diagnose and investigate possible solutions – a cost free evaluation. No pressure or gimmick to proceed with repairs. I will be coming back to Betrand’s / Pete’s!
Excellent service, job well done. Very pleased with the work on my basses. I highly recommend
In a era when local music shops are hard to find this one is a gem. Great service, great staff, fair prices. Their guitar techs are top notch and extremely reasonable…
I had some questions about a guitar repair on 9/23/14. I called to talk with Pete but he was not there. I talked with someone else about the needed repair. He couldn’t help me and when I tried to get some more information about when Pete would return he was non-helpful and then he told me that he had “a room full of customers.” Or in other words, this phone conversation is over. Am I not a customer? Just another employee filling a seat over there. I gave 3 stars for my rating only because Pete is awesome, but my experience with his fill-in was in complete contrast to working with Pete.
I’m so glad they got rid of “Dr. Evil.” It was the best decision they’ve ever done in my 20 years of coming here. Buying guitar strings from him was like pulling teeth. I heard he was eventually assaulted, which is unfortunate and kind of reflects on the managers for not getting rid of him sooner.
The bearded gentleman that replaced him is worth his weight in Gold.
Give that man a RAISE. He deserves it.
Very obnoxious dude
Place is so uncomfortable. 3 people working. Complete silence. Just staring at you. Wanted to look at guitars but felt so uncomfortable.
I cant say i have been to alot of music stores but this is defiantly one i wont be going back to watch out for the middle age bald guy. Literally the rudest most obnoxious man i have ever met in my life. DONT GO

Great place full of music and very nice and welcoming staff. Definently would recommend.
Very clean, good prices
muy agradecida con el trato de la vendedora habla español y te orienta con lo que tú necesitas
It is a good store owned by good people. Staff is friendly. New location is nice with four booths being developed as quite rooms. The store is still in development, but is a good place for good equipment and no BS. I am sure it will be at 5 stars in no time. Prices are very reasonable.
Record selection is hit or miss but ever growing and well priced
Great selectiob
Over priced on everything…service has gone bad
Left my acoustic electric guitar to be diagnosed on Saturday for no sound output. Was promised by Jason that it would be looked at and I would receive a call Monday with a quote on the repair. Monday passed with no call. I called Tuesday to check on it and the guy that answered seemed bothered and impatient with me. He said he didn’t see my guitar anywhere in the store and had no idea what was being done with it. He put me on hold for a couple minutes and looked for it, it was still in the store. He abruptly answered saying, “I found it I call you back in a little bit” and then just hung up on me. 3 hours passed and I called back. Someone else answered and said the previous employee had taken it apart and then just left for the day. No call back again to let me know what was being done. Wednesday passed, no call back. I called today Thursday and was told they sent it to their outside technician to fix it, not quote it. I told them to just bring it back to the store so I could pick it up, I was tired of the run around and lack of communication on their part. Completely unprofessional and lack of customer service here. I will never step in this store again!
Terrible place. My son took 2 of his beloved guitars for consignment sale. Every time he called to check on status, it was a different excuse as to why they had no time to answer his questions, or just said they were too busy and would have to call him back. They have NEVER called back. My son went last weekend to pick up his guitars, only to be told that they were SOLD!!! To who?? My son never received a penny!!! Ripoff!!! He was told the manager would call him right away. He’s called every single day to get restitution, no manager, no contact whatsoever!!! They sold his guitars and kept the money!!! Scam artists!!! DON’T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!! DON’T TRUST THEM WITH YOUR GUITARS!!!

John Suhr, the owner, found out about my issue with a used amplifier I own, insisted I send it back to have them fix it. I did so and they repaired and returned it, no charge. That’s a great company!
Can you guys fix clarinets? If so please respond ASAP

muy buena atención mucho respeto amabilidad muy profesional
Took my daughter to the Canyon Springs Guitar Center store because she decided she wants to play acoustic guitar. We had no idea what we were looking for. Sage came into the acoustic room and helped us TREMENDOUSLY. He let her hold different guitars to see which one felt the most comfortable. He told us how to look for a quality instrument, and even taught her how to play a few things. Super nice guy! Thank you so much, Sage!
Great store, great vibe, tons of gear, no pressure to buy, and the employee Jah was very informative; it’s where I will buy my next guitar amplifier.
Staff were very friendly. Very knowledgeable.
Personalized attention given by sales reps
Just average…staff is helpful, but try to upsell…but if you know what you want you’ll be fine..was surprised at the dismal shape of the electric drum area and the lack of drum hardware out on the floor, but all in all it is ok .
Second time dropping in and buying guitar strings at this store.
Second time of a 10 minute wait at an open register while employees ask everyone around me if they have been helped yet.
Clearly you all are looking to make commission and my paltry purchase does not interest you in the slightest. But, you carry strings. Which means I must have a stringed instrument. And who know when I will see something that catches my eye in your store or hear something that catches my ear?
Except that this was the chance I was giving you guys to make up for the last time I apparently darkened your doorway and received incredibly poor service.
Sad.
Music is a joy and I remember when the employees of a music store used to reflect that. I have also made online purchases of instruments because an employee enthusiastically helped me make that decision in spite of not being able to touch or hear my guitar until it arrived.
I like to give store fronts a chance, but like most others I am making online purchases all the more often simply to avoid such lousy experiences.
You lovely people have a job because people like me come into your store.
Except I won’t waste my time again or yours with a small purchase.
By far Guitar Center in Fresno is the best. Went to Guitar Center in Moreno Valley. Not so great service, pleanty of pianos, guitars etc. I only have one gripe. Almost all the keyboards didn’t have any foot pedals. I felt cheated. I drove all the way from Corona to play the pianos. I didn’t bother to ask staff about providing a foot pedal. Why? If they being musicians don’t see the need nor care if a customer gets what he needs to try out a piano in full mode. Then that tells me their leadership isn’t about to go out of their way to accommodate a potential customer. By now every employee at Guitar Center knows that there are no foot pedals at almost every piano. So as I was going from piano to piano (There were only two other customers present) not one single employee went over to assist me. I found that distasteful being that I was hoping someone would bring me a foot pedal. I play piano excellently. Not sure if I’ll go back. At Guitar Center in Fresno the employees allow groups to practice together using Guitar Center instruments. I didn’t feel that atmosphere there. I also play guitar. I went over to the guitar section and there were no cords to plug in an amplifier. What the heck? I didn’t like the atmosphere. It was as they don’t want you to play.
The staff was not very helpful…
