A lovely treat after visiting Grand Canyon National Park. It was busy, but still pretty quick; the unique specialty drinks were worth the wait!
Clean bathrooms
Service was prompt. Staff were nice. Food and drink were up to usual good standards. Large comfortable seating area if you want to stick around.
Very slow service without a smile or friendly word.
The staff was, apparently, new, and we had to have several things made over because they got it wrong the first time (like real coffee when we requested decaf). But, they cheerfully did it right the second times; so the quality is Standard Starbucks!
Both Hot & cold coffee r unique & lazavab.I like most .
One of the slowest Starbucks I’ve gone too. Severely understaffed. The drinks were not the typical Starbucks taste.
Baristas are not friendly as others have stated. They do not follow the Starbucks standards that have been implemented.
Horrible, stupid service. Asked for soy lattes, they gave us lattes made with cow’s milk. They apologized and remade them but it took a ridiculous amount of time to just let someone know about the error….the staff here is completely oblivious. So many people behind the counter but no one paying attention! We had also ordered a pastry, which was not given to us, and when we reminded them about it, it took 4 people to figure out how to get it to us. Did not realize it was so complicated, yikes. So disorganized.
When we came in there was only one person ahead of us, we ordered the two drinks and one pastry, but it took 25 minutes to get what we ordered – finally! Ten people behind the counter, but no one can get a simple order right. Idiots. Maybe it was a training day yesterday? Any other coffeeshop could have accomplished this order (and even corrected the errors) with two people and in 5 minutes. Fire the staff and manager and just start over.

Ordered a couple of coffees and they were great! Seems like they were locally roasted and different interesting blends from Grand canyon places. Coffee is so much better than Starbucks next door but there is no line… So the decision should be easy . If you are in the area, come straight here! Also music and ambience is very good, and great service!
Really good coffee and cinnamon rolls.
If you appreciate a good roasted coffee, and well prepared you have to stop here, the service has perfect and the coffee was perfectly weight for a well balance drink. Definitely a place to stop before you start driving
Do not count on this place in your trip planning. It was closed on a summer morning at 9:30am despite being listed as open on Google. Not even a sign or note with actual opening hours.
5. Grand Canyon Community Recreation Center
Address: 2 Mohave St, Grand Canyon Village, AZ 86023 , Grand Canyon , Arizona , United States
Relaxing especially for employees of xanterra and for locals too.
Great Haunted House
Low-key place for employees working here. Pleasant place to unwind after a busy day or play a board game or a phone game on your day off while eating snacks. A small workout gym and a weekly movie night also available. Shopping trips for local area for those unfamiliar with Grand Canyon or Flagstaff.
Internet can be slow at times
Seems nice, but it is RESIDENTS ONLY. Do not go if you are a tourist.
Nice rec center, great place for park employees to go and get their pump on.
Horrible. Service is bad!!!!! It smells and the workout equipment are as old as the canyon
Figured I’d be able to lift on vacation and they have a one day pass so I thought I could. Well you can’t if you are not a local, even if they have the opportunity for a one day pass. Would not recommend and the staff was rude!!
Signed up for two trips with little information .Both had same driver .Went on first one to Sedona ,driver was rude (to me)and her driving was scarey(speeding, ran over two sidewalks, very uncomfortable trip .The second one to Antelope Canyon ,I found out after signing up (by me looking online) there was two tours one with stairs and we weren’t given an option to take the one without stairs…I’ve been having back aches and therefore had to cancel ,losing $115.00 in part because the lack of communication.Yellowstone has a great Rec Center(with fewer staff ,informative with more participants ,so I know it can be improved.
Jack and Aspen provided us with top-notch care today, from the time we arrived. We were greeted with smiling faces, who welcomed us inside. They were ready to answer all our questions, and very knowledgeable. Easy going and lighthearted, we all laughed and joked around. They really contributed a lot to our overall experience. Im very comfortable putting my teenager in their hands when he needs musical equipment and guidance, as he explores his passion for making music. The staff at AMP really gives off a vibe they know what they are talking about, and they are there because they share a passion for music- it isn’t just a job to these people. As Flagstaff is my home town, I’m very grateful for how AMP represents enrichment for our community. Music is woven into the lifeforce of our family’s fabric. There’s magic in it. THANKS to all the customer service engineers at AZ MUSIC PRO- serving all of our musical needs with style! Why would anybody go anywhere else? ⭐️ ☮️
Love this place. So helpful! Had some issues with my bass guitar and Neil in the shop is a total expert. Kind, smart and great customer service!
One of my favorite places in flag. The guys here are really cool and helpful with any questions you have.
Brought a PRS in to have the intonation adjusted. Quoted me one price, and upon picking it up, they charged an additional $15, and nobody could answer why. They said the “luthier” (and I use that term lightly) would call me and tell me why the price was more. That never happened. Upon getting the guitar home, the strings were set so low they were absolutely unplayable. Fret buzz on every note. The intonation was off on all six strings. And the worst part is one of my bridge screws was lost and replaced with a screw that doesn’t match. Complete waste of money. First and last time they get my business. Sub standard work, and poor customer service.
To follow up… Neil called me several times to follow up and make things right. I missed the call each time but he left messages stating he would correct the problems. Unfortunately I’ve moved away from the area so unable to take him up on his offer, but it is much appreciated. He was willing to go out of his way to make it right for me.
なかなかの品揃えだがわざわざここで買い物することもない。
Thank you Neil!! This guy totally hooked up the hardware. Then actually took the time to explain to me, how to do it myself. Quality merch and inspiring customer service.
I’ve played mandolin for over 20 years and am seriously looking into buying a tenor banjo. They had two. But they wouldn’t let me play them with a pick, I guess because they’re concerned about somehow damaging the instrument with one(???). I’ve never damaged an instrument with a plectrum and don’t really know how one would do such a thing. I can’t assess the instrument if you won’t even let me play it properly. I’ll look elsewhere and don’t plan on going back. Pretty aggravating experience.
Idk if it’s just me, or what, but when I walked in there, they ignored me almost the whole time, I was looking to buy a guitar and when I started playing one, I played like, one riff and the guy came up and said “it just sounds like you’re here to play thats it” while other people are jamming their hearts out, I gave him the guitar and thought “why is he letting the other people play and not me”, so I just brushed it off and just wanted to buy picks instead, because the experience, I didn’t want to buy a guitar from there, so I went to buy picks, I was using credit card, and he told me “I’m sorry but there’s a $10 limit for credit cards”, so by the time he said that I just walked out, pretty SUS
I had drove an hour there to get a Single guitar string for my new guitar, I had also had problems with the amp I bought from them not working with my mic to amp transducer I also bought from them. So I bought a new transducer with no regards from them on the fact that the other didn’t work as if I was the one putting them out. I ended up spending 50$ on cords etc. and when I had said I didnt know how to put on the string and asked for help I was told to go on YouTube and that I should just go home and figure it out from an extremely unhelpful short tempered demeanored guy named “Jack”. I’m disappointed I decided to try and make this place my go to for equipment.
9. Sacred Rites
Address: N San Francisco St, Flagstaff, AZ 86001 , Grand Canyon , Arizona , United States
Phenomenal store! Attentive service! Great products!
Amazing experience! He has chairs and a bed that are instruments that you can sit or lay down on while he plays them, beautiful experience! After discovered this place I came back that evening with my sister, had to share the experience with someone else! Can’t wait to visit again! !
Kelly is the owner of Sacred Rites and my-oh-my… what a treat to hear him sing and play instruments in his shop. I highly recommend sitting in the chairs that have a harp as a backrest… phenomenal experience!!! I am visiting Flagstaff for a week and can’t wait to return.
Unusual instruments
10. John’s Corner Music Shop
Address: 8680 AZ-69, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314 , Grand Canyon , Arizona , United States
I highly recommend checking out this shop if you’re in the market for a new (used) guitar, amp, or ukulele. My partner and I had our instruments stolen out of our van on a road trip and the folks in this shop really hooked us up. They’re SO nice, helpful, and the instruments we got are in excellent condition. High quality for an accessible price. Thank you so much, John’s Corner Music Shop.
Best music shop in town I love these guys
Went in to see what they had in banjos today. Had a great vintage one in nice condition. Price was sweet, got some strings, bag and picks. Chis and John both were great and helpful. Noticed everything was reasonably priced and had tons of instruments To look at. Glad to support a local business. Will be back for sure.
Thanks guys.
Dana
wouldn’t give it even one star! I just went in to grab some guitar strings and was never once acknowledged the whole time I was there. Not even a greeting. needless to say I walked out. Not sure what the deal is in this town but I have yet to encounter any sort of professionalism with the businesses here!!!
Low quality gear that is way over priced.
11. Yavapai Tavern
Address: 11 Yavapai Lodge Rd, Grand Canyon Village, AZ 86023 , Grand Canyon , Arizona , United States
Really enjoyed our sandwiches! Good place to grab a bite before seeing the Grand Canyon! Would recommend!
Good food
Save for the deli in the General Store, this is the best restaurant in the park, dollar for dollar … but still pretty expensive.
Reliable spot in a convenient location within the village to enjoy a comforting meal after exploring the canyon. The burgers can be pretty rich, but I liked the kale salad slaw on the side which cut the heaviness. A bit pricy.
Excellent sandwiches and burgers! All of ours were prepared perfectly. I had the Elk sandwich, which was packed with flavor! The prices were a bit high, but this should be expected inside the park. A great place to stop for a meal while exploring the canyon!
This is the third time I have ate here this will be the last. I had been told the burgers we’re good. First time I ordered a elk burger medium. It came well done on very stale bread. Next time ordered a teriyaki burger med rare. Came out well done. This time I ordered a turkey wrap. Looked good. But was full of lettuce very little turkey, bacon was like jerky. They brought my wrap about 15 min before my friends burger, they were ordered at the same time. Plus the man taking the orders was extremely rude.
I don’t even want to rate 1 star. I had the Worst experience here. I waited 50 minutes, but the dish was still not even ready. I got a 50% discount, but I request a 100%.
I don’t recommend working or eating at the yavaipai lodge tavern in Grand Canyon. Have uneducated leads like Julie or Jules and a guy name Devon. That has no clue what they doing. They hire incompetent people to do try to lead people. 0 people skills. And low moral. Acts like he is above you. Will always be in your face all day long. Very ghetto place to work. Get rid of those people and the place will be a lot better to work for. Very high turnover rate. Low class lodge. And the food is disgusting. It’s sad that a couple toxic employee can ruin a place. The cooks are not real cooks. Just premade stuff from Sysco. And they try to call themselves chef. Which is not true. That’s why there’s complaints with the food. Do not eat or work here. You will regret it. In reality they just all prep cooks. They are always understaffed because it is a hostile work environment, and nobody lasts long before quitting. It’s an easy job to get because they are always desperate for new hires, but it isn’t worth it at all.

The Grand Canyon is a giant hole in the ground. It’s beautiful. The village area is cute and quite. Worth a drive of 4 hours from Las Vegas. Saw elk and had to take pictures. We came here while there was snow but it was still awesome. It was $35.00 just to visit however since the government was shutdown it was free. Was a bit cold, if you are a tourist and you are from the North with a lot of snow and don’t expect snow at the grand canyon, maybe expect it. It was a lot of fun please take a day to go here. There is also a lodge to stay in.
Amazing as always
Some of the views are unreal.

Rick the owner sure knows his stuff, he said he’s been in business for over 40 years, not specifically in Prescott at this location but overtime. He has an amazing selection of guitars. From the very novice and beginner guitars to the most pristine vintage guitars. Really nice little place, highly Recommend popping in here, definitely one of my favorite professional music stores in Prescott hands down. He’s a really nice guy and great to talk too. I also recommend John’s corner music shop it’s technically more of a thrift store music pawnshop but he’s a really nice guy too!
I live in the valley where we have a few great guitar stores but Blue Note in Prescott is a rare gem. Rick the owner is a threat guy to talk to and very knowledgeable. He carries Gibson, Fender, Gretchen, Epiphone, Harley Benton, Ibanez, and a boat load of other guitars you won’t see a Guitar Center. If your a beginner to professional this shop has something for everyone. This is one of the nicest music stores I’ve ever been in. There are a lot bigger stores but none nicer. If your in Prescott and love guitar your missing out if you don’t visit this place.
A few months back, I was looking for someone who could help me with my viola bridge as my old one snapped in half and the new one wasn’t working quite like it should. I called Rick, asked if he would be able to help me as it is slightly different from a violin. Rick said he would be willing to try and see what he could do. Two days after I dropped my viola off, he contacted me and said it was fixed. I played it that Sunday for my church worship and it was perfect. Great guy, great price. I would go back again if I need to.
The owner is a pretty cool guy. Very knowledgeable on everything in the store. He has also made guitars for some of the biggest names in music history.
Listed as open on Monday. Drove from Spring Valley to find them closed. Need to correct this.
The owner of this establishment is beyond rude, he didn’t answer any questions (which I believe is because he has 0 knowledge of anything pertaining to his little business) and he over prices everything. I understand it’s a local business so prices will be higher but his USED banged up instruments are at least 70% higher than anywhere else for the same NEW instruments which is unreasonable.
I’ll be shopping at a honest local music shop.
Thank You
16. Grand Canyon IMAX Theater
Address: 450 AZ-64, Grand Canyon Village, AZ 86023 , Grand Canyon , Arizona , United States
Stopped here to just kill some time and ended up really enjoying the movie. We came here in April and at midday had only about 20 other people in the theater. Its a quick and cheap place to stop and see a cool movie about the canyon.
We spent the day at the Grand Canyon and it was truly spectacular. One can ignore the crowds and look into the vastness and grandeur. However, at some point, I realized that distance and immensity were, for me, a shield against experience. How could I be disappointed? Well, I was. Until we stopped at the Imax at the end of the day. When we walked out of the theater, I was shaking. I felt like I had been immersed in the Canyon, touched it, fought against being smothered by it. I couldn’t drive. I just sat there decompressing for fifteen while my passengers waited for their driver to get normal. What an experience. Don’t skip it.
Awesome!
I watched this movie back in 1998. When I went there in 2021 watched the same movie. Wondering this is movie holds the Guinness World Record for number of showings
Nice movie with excellent information. Worth stopping by. The theatre has a standard souvenir shop with a little expensive stuff. I wish they improve the projector quality though.
Pretty good show but a little underwhelming. The kids enjoyed it
It’s a White mans point of view. White colonizer history on the Grand Canyon… I wish there was more truth on Native history and which tribes still thrive in the area and the Anasazi are our ancestors, they did not vanish. We are still here ✊ ✊ ✊
Super boring movie
