Robert has worked on my tubas for years and I’m always happy with the results. Their entire crew knows what they’re doing.
Great place for horn repair. Fast and friendly service
I have always had a great experience with this instrument repair service. Friendly staff and quality repair is just a basic reason why I give this place 5 stars. If I ever need an instrument repair, I would first go to Independent and trust them with their services. If you want to spend your money on getting your instrument repaired, please use Independent!
Did excellent work on my old trombone, very nice people!
Very helpful and informative
I came in with a horn to have repairs done to it. I needed to have my saxophone’s neck recorked. I needed additional repairs, but above all needed the recorking. The repairman came up, looked at the instrument brand and said he could do nothing for me because if he broke something, he would have to make a part. I thanked him and walked out. I thought by the ratings that this would be a location with skilled craftsmen, but instead feel like it’s people prone to mistakes so they can only work on standard brands and not all instruments. I’d consider calling before coming. They are the only place around for quite a distance and driving over 60 miles to be treated like this felt very awful!
Stephen is a perfectionist. He is a great sound engineer that is not satisfied until it is right. I highly recommend this studio for the pro or novice musician. They have also recorded voice overs for movies so don’t hesitate to ask about special projects. They are as comfortable recording country music as they are heavy metal. Great feel and ambiance there for the creative mind.
I worked with Stephen Shatzer for many years on numerous projects. He is an awesome sound engineer. I never once walked away unhappy with th overall mix and mastering of my songs. He was always a great person to work with.
Great place to record. They don’t call this guy mastermind for nothing. You have to have a ear not just good equipment. This guy has both.
8. Gravel Ridge Small Engine
Address: 7900 Jacksonville Cutoff Rd, Jacksonville, AR 72076 , Gravel Ridge , Arkansas , United States
Starts, runs smoothly, blades are level and sharp and l am happy!
I’ve done business here for 10 years, NLR homeowner. Exceptionally clean and well run shop, larger than expected with a good selection of new and quality used mowers. Commercial quality, and brands (only). Owner, wife and workers all fair and friendly, square estimates up front, good communications by phone while being serviced. A step up from Home Depot and Lowe’s.
The two other one star reviews are rediculous, I’ve 10 years experience, and am a retired professor, so well know good people, good professional quality products, cleanliness, a good work ethic, and pride in one’s work.
Great service, professional work, they have met my needs every mowing season.
Affordable service on my old push mower. A decent clean up and refresh for ~$100. Took just over a week and it works great now.
4 stars just because they forgot to tell me it was ready but helpful when I called to check in
Good service, good products
I brought in a lawn mower for repair a while back. I dropped it off and about a week later I called to see if they had an estimate on the mower. They told me they had not started working on it yet. Another week went by and then they called telling me they fixed it and it was ready for pick up.
I picked it up and they had done all the work I asked for and the charge was quite reasonable considering the labor and parts. The only thing I wished was that they would have given me an estimate on the cost to fix and a timeline when the work might be completed.
But overall, the price and quality of work is excellent. I would recommend.
Terrible experience this my third time in here and was brushed off each time I went in. Will never recommend them to anyone, customer service is garage and I was only asking them questions about a chain saw and no help.
They fixed my mower without consulting with me first with the estimate to fix it and acted if tho it wasnt a big deal putting me in a position that I had to pay them for service. Gangster move huh. Well $250 is a huge deal. I can only imagine how many custumers this had happened to that couldnt pay a couple hundred dollars this is nonexceptable service.
Not a small engine repair shop only a repair shop for the mowers they sale

Very helpful staff. First time in, and I will not go anywhere else.
Went into this place just to window shop. Greeted and felt welcomed going in. Inquired about guitar setup and intonation and they provide the service, which is a plus. Good selection of guitar accessories for my future needs.
Good selection…
Good for new strings but a small selection of equipment.
Nice, clean store with nice stuff. A helpful staff that watch u coming in and out. Slightly high priced, but good quality merchandise.
The absolute worst store ive ever been in will not be back
Not very much guitar stuff. Didn’t even have strap studs.
A few months ago, I visited Saied Music’s North Little Rock location to look into used flutes (online flutes are too hit-or-miss, I discovered, so I wanted to be able to try one before buying). Not wanting to spend a small fortune on an instrument I wasn’t sure I’d stick with, I figured used would be a safe bet.
The gentleman who was working that day showed me a Jupiter flute that had a price tag of $380 or $385 (I just distinctly remember it being in the $380 range). It had a head joint with a gold-plated lip plate that I found rather garish, but for the price, I was willing to consider it once I tried it and realized it played fairly easily. So, I went home to think on it, but I ultimately put off getting a flute for awhile.
Yesterday, I returned, and lo and behold, they had the same flute still in stock. However, this time a different guy brought it out, and the price had been removed, leaving only a partial green tag with some text on it. The man made a fairly loud show of talking to the other guy, who had originally showed it to me the first time I saw it, saying that, since it had a green tag, he could sell it for below the “book price.” He thumbed through a binder, ran his finger down a list of prices, and landed on $480. Then, he quoted me $450, saying that price was $30 below list.
I immediately thought of the scene in Legally Blonde when the clothing boutique worker pulls a tag off a dress from last season and tries to sell it to Elle for a huge mark-up, believing her to be too uninformed to know any better.
I closed the case without taking another look, then left the store without saying another word.
I lost all trust in Saied Music in that instant, and I will not return.
Very excited to have a music lessons studio/repair shop so close to home! The teachers are very knowledgeable and they offer a wide variety of lessons. The location is great & very convenient. They’re also the only place on this side of the river that offers guitar repair & sells strings. Great atmosphere, great people, excellent work. Highly recommend Renown.
Absolutely top notch service. They’ve done a great job on several instruments for me. I would give them 6 stars but 5 is all I can. Update: The two guitar players that I play with and myself continue to use Renown and we have never been disappointed. Great, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Just a fantastic local business.
I have been going to Renown music for about a year now. They are fair on their prices. Brandon really cares about his customers. Here’s the thing. There is an employee there named Bob who did my setup from my American Strat. I have had issues with the Strat for about 10 years and I thought about selling it. I took it to Renown music and Bob got the fret buzz out and also set it up with a very low action. Which I thought was impossible. The intonation was perfect! I was shocked on what a really good setup can do for your guitar. The guitar has never played and sounded so good!
