I had to delete my old post, and uploaded my review. Took my bango in to be fixed and restrung and I was very pleased with the work. Now I setup a lesson and maybe learn to play it.
Great selection and competitive prices, sometimes the humor is a tad dry
For a small town store front music store Ric totally delivers with a wide selection of quality instruments, equipment and quality customer based service. If he doesn’t have it in stock, he will the distance to get you what you want or need.
I highly recommend Quigtone to everyone.

Outstanding. This is only place I take my guitars. Brenden is amazing and the staff and very friendly and helpful.JP does a great job here and always says hello when I walk in.
Always have pleasant experience with this place. Whenever I call to check on specific music books availability which my child’s teacher needed us to pick up for the lessons, staffs here always response politely and hold it for us to pick up. When we pick up at the store, it’s always efficient during check out. We never encounter any issues.
Friendly people. Sold me a great instrument
Great verify of sheet music and ukuleles and an awesome luthier.
The instruments we have rental have been pretty worn but still work well and it is an OK deal for the price. Customer service is helpful and friendly. We have been pleased with our violin rental over this past year and will continue renting here into the next school year.
Fui una vez a ver las guitars
Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever had, 3 people working and not one of them tried to help me whatsoever and 2 of them didn’t even acknowledge I was in the store! Very poor service
I’m renting a clarinet and they gave it uncleaned (had old spit) and with broken parts. Horrible customer service. My tried fixing the first rental, but after a week, they just returned it without fixing anything.
Discriminated against me for having a disability.

Address: 212 E 12th St, Silver City, NM 88061 , Greenlee County , Arizona , United States
I had went back in August, but I most definitely recommend coming here. Very friendly, great quality!
Extremely humble man willing to go above and beyond selling instruments. Impressed by the ability to seek any instrument at an exceptional price if it is not available in the store.
Great customer service and responds to voicemails and emails promptly. Also he has been willing to meet customers on closed days, holidays and late nights…yet to find another store like that!
Have had the luxury of seeing this man perform and his passion and strength in music is evident. His experience in singing, songwriting and music lessons for well over 20 years is evident and a true gift for this little town.
We are blessed as a community to have such a beautiful little store, with an incredible personal willing to help his customers in any way possible. Thank you Perrault music for all you do for New Mexico!
Super small store, maybe a gem will pop in there unexpectedly.
OMG.. GOT MORE STUFF IN MY STORAGE UNIT… GO TO BEDROOM AND GUITAR IF YOU WANT CHOICES….

They’ve got genuine, friendly service and quality products. My Tannus tires have never failed me, and my DaBrim keeps the sun off my face day in and day out.
Bought my last edge fixie here and repaired it there
This is what a local musician shop should be!
Brought bass clarinet accessory!
Low stock
Simply love it.
Over priced. Disappointing
Not a word from staff my whole visit. Sales 101
I really wish I could give it to zero Stars they sold me used parts they didn’t do what they said they were going to do and they charged me for stuff that they didn’t even replace and tried to sell it as new they just left the old stuff on my bike and told me that they replaced it then they took old parts are used parts off of some other bike and charge me full price

Tony runs a great shop! He’s helped me from day one of my walking into his establishment now a friend forever! Oops great drummer too! Go see him browse learn & buy
I went here a few months ago to get my bass strings fixed and they went the extra mile. Not only did they fix my strings but they also cleaned and polished it. When i got it back it looked amazing and felt brand new!
Just bought another guitar lol, Tony’s the bom
Mixed bag. Tony seems nice, the owner operator. I ordered reeds. Took a few weeks. Little longer than expecting, but wasn’t in a hurry. He did give me a good price and far better customer service than the big national chain.
Used guitars and amps are fairly priced. There are some hard to find items that move through here often. But yo T, GYST.
Good
Never received my whammy bar and not even given a credit!!!! Stay away from this mom and mother beisness! Not worthy being called a music shop… They don’t even have bass guitars ☠️ ☠️☠️
He charged me more than $200 to order some acoustic pickups, and said he was on the phone ordering them when I was in the store. 2 years have gone by, no pickups, and no refund. He sold one of my instruments on consignment and never paid me, it sold for $325 a year and a half ago. There is more, believe it or not…BEWARE!
Pushy salesman.
Went in a few times to check stuff out and Everytime the person working who I think is the owner won’t leave me alone to brouse. He either keeps trying to sell me something I don’t want or will follow me around the store and watch me play. Most people who want to buy instruments want to be left alone to try them out. I don’t feel welcome there.

Was looking all over town as a long shot to fix up a uke from the 60s… Got tossed around a while by the big stores then ran into this place. Literally the paragon of a beautifully run business! Amazing staff, amazing store, AMAZING prices! Had all my missing tuners, strings, and even a fret board for less than what others would charge just for strings… I wish I could rate them 6/5 stars…
Really helpful, knowledgeable staff. Fun selection of unique instruments. Great place to spend a couple of hours. Lots to see and different every time I go in!
Really nice staff and products. Reasonably priced
I took a homeless guy there once and he cried when he remembered how to play bob Dylan’s “how does it feel” I had to leave at that point.
Love the new ukulele room.
Neat shop, friendly staff. Went in to see if they could help with my Djembe drum repair, but they don’t currently have anyone who can replace and restring the skin for the drumhead ☹️
Very rude disrespectful because I was asking for a part and I didn’t have a mask and I wasn’t trying to go in the place without permission and they were just very rude very very rude and I didn’t understand I was thrown off by it. Yelling at me for no reason all I wanted was a part I didn’t even try to go into shop told her I’d wait outside because I didn’t have a mask she slams door in my face. So I go get a mask and they won’t even deal with me I was the up most respectful and didn’t deserve that. Very very rude!!! I’ll never do business with them again.
I am absolutely incredulous as to how condescendingly I was treated over the phone by this place. I arrived with my Taylor 312-CE looking to trade up and quite likely spend substantial chunk of money. I noticed the posting on the door that read (I may be paraphrasing) “masks required even for those vaccinated.” I have been twice jabbed with Pfizer, but no problem. I get it. I understand it. People may not be fully honest about their status and might contaminate others. I have zero issue complying with the policy The posting also read “do not knock; call to be granted entry” (again, I may be paraphrasing, but this was the gist). I keep a KN-95 with me in the car but couldn’t find it. Maybe it fell behind the seat or something. I ring their number. A woman answers. Convo goes like this: “Hi, I noticed you require masks even for the vaxxed, which I am fully, but I can’t seem to find mine here in my car….I’m here outside….do you happen to have any masks there inside the store that you could pass out to me”? (like logical, sensible merchants across town, the state, the country have in abundance in case you forgot or can’t find yours—sterile ones for the taking in boxes) “If not, I don’t live too far. I can run home, grab one and come back”. The woman on the phone raises her voice and says “NO YOU NEED TO WEAR A MASK” and abruptly hangs up!! Um, I think I got that part and more than amply communicated it back. Wow. And delivered with a tone of voice akin to Mrs. Gulch from Wizard of Oz. I was perfectly polite, acknowledged the policy and was willing to go out of my way to comply. This is not only ridiculously bad policy, but there was not even basic intelligible, lucid communication on her part. Not the conduct of a sound minded individual.
Now, for some background. I have never made any major purchases at Folk Shop. However, I have patronized them over years–even before I moved to Tucson. The first time, I was recording an album visiting from Austin in 2014 and needed a dobro capo. The engineer called around to Guitar Center and few other places. They didn’t even know what a dobro was, much less a dobro capo. Folk Shop to the rescue with a Paul Beard capo, just like the one I had forgotten and left back in TX! I’ve been there since for strings, straps, stainless steel slides etc. Never ever the slightest of problems. What happened today is totally inexcusable. I myself have been fastidious and a stickler about masking and distancing throughout the pandemic, but this kind of post-mandate fanaticism, illogic and outright meanness is beyond the pale. They certainly don’t want my money or any of my future business. To hell with this place. l’ll buy a guitar from Musician’s Friend before stepping foot in there, even though I prefer to shop locally.
Well, over the years I’ve bought, sold, and traded with Paul and really wouldn’t do so again. The last guitar I purchased there had broken tuner barrels and more important, his pricing and moods vary wildly. Certainly lots to look at, but no great shakes in terms of quality or pricing.
16. De-No Music Center
Address: 801 E Florence Blvd # B, Casa Grande, AZ 85122 , Greenlee County , Arizona , United States
This business is so helpful and nice. They have really helped my husband with his music needs and repairs. They are very reasonably priced. We are definitely repeat customers. Highly recommend.
Great store!
Great guys!
Nice selection of acoustic guitars
Best music shop.
My experience at De-No Music Center was a blessing!! The people that work there are very professional and really are good people!!! Very friendly and care about their customers!!! I recommend De-No Music Center for all your music needs!!! They have a wide range of music and equipment for any event or music needs!!! Hallelujah Amen
Came in for guitar picks and strings and was thinking of buying an acoustic guitar on the wall. I asked if I could play it he said “yes”. I played a couple chords and got kicked out for playing it to “hard”.
I’ve been there quite a few times before. As a child the owner was alright but somehow he just became rude after a while. There was a time when I was 19(9 years ago) and there was an 800 dollar Jackson on the wall that I really wanted. I brought $850 dollars with me and jammed out on it for about 5 minutes, the owner came up to me and said “If you put one scratch on this I’m going to make you pay for it, do you understand?” I know I look young and I looked about 15 at the time but there have been several times(like yesterday{let me play for 4 minutes and told my party to leave when I wanted to buy a practice amp}) that I brought money in to make a purchase of over 300 dollars and he makes me uncomfortable or says something rude. If you need a reed, or if you need a rental, this is a good place. If you’re a musician, and you want to try stuff out, drive 40 minutes, the owner has been rude to me for 15 years. I swear he hates musicians.
Went to buy a guitar but no assistance from the clerk was offered and large sign indicated you can’t touch them without assistance so we left. Makes it difficult to make a purchase. To be fair the clerk was waiting on another customer but just continued to ignore us and didn’t even bother to say “hello” when we entered the store. Not much available there in the way of instruments unless you need used amps, guitar stands, cheap guitars, or ukuleles.
17. Jacob’s Music Shoppe
Address: 1682 E Fry Blvd, Sierra Vista, AZ 85635 , Greenlee County , Arizona , United States
Great prices on repair work, fret sprout, truss rod adjustment, etc.
Please support your local music shop in Sierra Vista. Sure something might be cheaper on Amazon here/there, but I’d rather help keep a great local business going, than further fuel Jeff Bezos yacht fund.
Really friendly and helpful
Though I miss the previous owner, The new owners are great. Very helpful, friendly and great to speak with. I’ve purchased a guitar and quite a few other things and completely happy with the service I received. Support a small local business! need something they don’t have, they can order it for you!
Nice place. Good range of instruments for reasonable prices. Friendly people.
Everything went great in my business dealings with them until I went to their bank to cash their check. The bank did not want to cash it- they made me wait 20 minutes while the teller had a conference with the manager. Long story short National Bank charged me $8.00 for the privilege of getting real money. I was to get $400 for my guitar but I only got $392 this is not fair. I think Jacob should give me the 8 dollars to make it right but he will not pay in money, only checks. This is not right.
18. Brindley’s Music Center
Address: 836 N Arizona Ave, Chandler, AZ 85225 , Greenlee County , Arizona , United States
Just got the flute back tuned and ready to play! Quick and easy pick up. The tune only took a couple of days. If you want to rent or purchase an instrument or take lessons Brindleys is the place to go.
I’ve brought several extremely high end guitars here for service and have only had positive experiences. Great shop, fair prices, excellent service, top notch communication, and accurate ETAs.
Good music store for those looking for something specific…not much to look at for those who want to look around or window shop (especially for drum equip). Other than that, it’s a good local music shop. They used to make their own brand of drumsticks, which were GREAT, but last time I went they said they no longer make them. Bummer!
It was very awesome service but milanos was cheaper books were 8.00 and care kits were10.00 and at brindleys it was almost 16.00 and for book it was 10
Fix it for the most part. Still feels as if the instrument is leaking from somewhere on the lower register. Still hard to push low notes without struggle.
Terrible. The service is great but. 13 dollars for 1. 1 Bari sax size 3 Reed is way to expensive. I could get 5 for 30 on Amazon. That’s a amazing price. The sax repairs are way to expensive. 100 for a check up. When you Could go down the street to superstition mountain music and get everyone about 50% cheaper.
Called to inquire about an instrument. Owner laughed at my question and was extremely rude. He didn’t answer my questions, and refused to give any useful information.
Sold my 6 month old Guild OM240 cuz I was struggling financially. I paid $425 for it at Bizarre Guitar. Owner tells me there’s major work needing to be done cuz wood was dry and neck was tweaked. He said he’d hafta put in humidifier for couple weeks and he MIGHT be able to repair. He offered me $150. I had to plead with him to give me $160…The very next day he listed it on Offer up for $375. Call it smart business. Call it shrewdness.
I call it dishonesty. Only Guild I could ever afford and I’m humiliated. Regret going here.
19. Rainbow Guitars
Address: 2550 N Campbell Ave, Tucson, AZ 85719 , Greenlee County , Arizona , United States
After a particularly horrible experience at Sticks N Strings, I went to Rainbow. They are completely the opposite of the other store. LOTS of choices, great pricing and the staff are very open and honest about the brands, the quality and their pricing. Stephan ROCKS. (And so does the guy in the custom guitar shop…but, I forgot his name!) The staff are friendly and personable and just really fun to talk to. I’ve only shopped their a few times, but they already know me.
My ONLY criticism of this store…is the sign out front. Such an awesome shop needs a ‘fresh’ sign. I can’t tell you how many times I drove right past it, never knowing it was even open…it looks closed from the outside because the canopy sign is kind of faded. But seriously, that’s IT. Once you walk in the doors, you’re blown away.
First time there and the service department fixed the guitar in 5 minutes. A+ customer service! Don’t go anywhere else.
I think this place is awesome. Stefan-the acoustic guitar guy is very helpful. I learned things about Martins that made me want one! He goes to conferences to keep his knowledge up to date. (he had just gotten back from one somewhere).
They carry quite a selection of acoustics and even if you drag in your 30 year old acoustic from HIGH SCHOOL they won’t laugh at you… much. In a great location too. .
Kudos to a small business that is STILL here. Shop local! Support small business.
Excellent selection of low to high end guitars and accessories. My store for quality instruments!
Good place for guitars!
For a guitar store with a reputation like Rainbow, it is surprising that they act like they don’t want my money. I will gladly offer 5 stars for the selection and quality of the instruments, but I have been shopping around and twice left with a pocket full of cash.
Bought a Collings 470 JL and paid over 7 grand for it. When I called to complain about FedExs delay, I spoke with Vic who was very dismissive, rude, and unsympathetic. He basically told me there was nothing he could do and then hung up on me. Lesson learned, do not buy from these people, they do not care about their customers. Very unprofessional!
Emailed through the website asking for suggestions on replacing Fender pickups. No response, so phoned. Was led to believe that expecting the guys in the back to answer an email was a pretty radical concept. Was also led to believe that replacing pickups was an insane idea and that if I didn’t like my guitar I should trade it in, not that they would want to assist with that either. Proof positive yet again that guitar stores only seem to attract males who really want to be left alone. Suits me, shan’t be bothering them again.
Not my favorite place. They have this attitude that they are more important then the player they are there to serve. I can’t stand businesses that are of the attitude that we as players are there to accommodate them. They are there to serve us. Since Rainbow seems to have lost sight of this basic premise, I would recommend you look elsewhere for your musical gear needs. Because this place will only disregard those needs. If you do purchase something from Rainbow Guitar, they will with a smile on there face, overcharge you. I mean REALLY overcharge you. I have given business to Rainbow over the years. But that is going to change. I would rather go to Phoenix for my gear needs then suffer the pompous attitude and overpriced merchandise that Rainbow is offering. I was charged 20 dollars for a capo. I dare them to say they didn’t do it. Bust out your receipts Rainbow. I dare you. But won’t hold my breath.
20. John’s Corner Music Shop
Address: 8680 AZ-69, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314 , Greenlee County , Arizona , United States
Just the kindest, most helpful music shop I’ve ever walked into.
Awesome Shop. I left my Banjo down in Mexico. I really wanted to keep up with my lessons. I called John and asked if he had any banjo’s. He said to come and take a look. He had one almost ready to go. We talked and made a deal. He said it would be ready next week. I left and thought about it and called back to see if he could get it ready sooner because I was going crazy with nothing to do. He said he would work on it and call me back by 4pm. I’m super excited to start my lessons again. Thanks John for taking good care of me. I truly enjoyed sitting out front of the store talking about all kinds of things. You Rocked it.
The best experience me and my family have ever had shopping. John and Chris are some of the humblest down to earth men . We are customers for life and looking forward to lessons. Thanks a million.
wouldn’t give it even one star! I just went in to grab some guitar strings and was never once acknowledged the whole time I was there. Not even a greeting. needless to say I walked out. Not sure what the deal is in this town but I have yet to encounter any sort of professionalism with the businesses here!!!
