Bought a flute through Joan at a great price. I’ve also purchased music through flute pro shop and have had great delivery time and customer service. Great people and great products!
I cannot recommend Flute Pro Shop enough! I have been sending my flute here for it’s annual COA for the last 6 years and the repair work is some of the best my instrument has ever had. Joan and her team are extremely knowledgable and incredibly friendly. It’s been a pleasure knowing them since I moved to the region <3
Joan is quite knowledgeable and ready to help with any flute question. Are you interested in an intermediate flute or a professional flute? Are you looking for answers to whether or not a better headjoint would make your current flute sound like a dream? Do you want to expand your musical library? Joan knows the answers to all! She has amazing tools at her fingertips and she is patient with all who enter her shop. Yes, I highly recommend The Flute Pro Shop!

This place is awesome. I brought in a malfunctioning receiver, and the owner took a long look at it, before warning me he would have to charge before going any further. He gave me his honest opinion all for free. After some thinking, he pulled out a receiver he just picked up, tested it, and sold it to me for a very reasonable price. He also taught me a few things along the way! I couldn’t ask for better customer service. Such a nice dude! I highly recommend this place for service repairs, but there is also a decent collection of used records as well!
Very friendly and knowledgeable about vinyl, as well as Receivers and turntables. Gerald was very helpful.
Great place to browse and buy. Very unique collection of rock, world music and jazz. If you need something repaired, the owner is an expert.
Good Rare finds
Thumbs down
Extremely and unnecessarily overpriced record store. I’ve been to literally 8 record stores between 10-30 mins away, and none come close to the prices here for the same records. You’ll find the same records for a dollar or two that are like $8-10 here. Completely taking advantage of the customer. Never seen a record store with no records under $3
Best Guitar teacher, ROB! The staff are very knowledgeable about choosing the right instrument for your music lessons- plus the price is affordable and great selection in store and online.!
Very helpful staff. Found just what I was looking for!
Awesome services, product knowledge, and music education options.
My oldest came here for lessons and we purchased an intermediate trumpet back in 2019 that we were very happy with. Fast forward to 2022-23. First we bought a Yamaha intermediate trombone but the mouth piece was missing so they gave us a replacement “in kind”. This fall he dropped it on the ground and ovaled the shaft. This is where the fun begins. I drive the 30 min to the store and ask for a replacement, but they can’t find the sale in their system. I remembered the issue with the missing mouthpiece and the replacement. Unfortunately the clerk couldn’t get the internet to work to verify the size and sold us the large shank. Wrong! So now I have to spend another hour there and back just to return it. Amazon was more helpful but a search revealed that the “in kind” replacement from a year ago was a cheap version and the wrong size. They got me twice. Thankfully this is the last kid so I won’t have to go there again.
Wonderful store
They only sell small ticket items in store, but they will order whatever you want.
Terrible service. My girlfriend takes her son here for guitar and the teacher stood them up 5 different times and they didn’t reimburse her for 3 of those 5 classes. There staff told her son not to attend the class on 12/21/18 and his mother called to confirm this and the staff member failed to contact her back and when the teacher showed up to teach the lesson he decided he was not going to refund the lesson. When I say stood them up 5 times I’m not saying he called them 20 minutes before and said hey I can’t make it. I’m talking about them driving 45 minutes away just to find out the guy isn’t even there and failed to tell anyone. Is this good customer service? Is this fair ? You charge people 30 dollars for a half an hour and you don’t even show up?
Poor service and rude employees. Not worth the time, go somewhere else
I purchased a single set of music lessons from Music & Arts, and they auto-billed me for recurring lessons. After multiple trips to the store, and the personal assurances of the store manager that the incorrectly billed lessons would be refunded, I eventually requested a chargeback on my credit card after they failed to refund me.
Then they re-charged me for the amount I got back in my credit card chargeback, and immediately sent my account to collections!
They will charge you for services not rendered, lie to your face about fixing their own errors, and then damage your credit score when you have to take matters into your own hands to address their theft against you.
This is quite literally the single least ethical business I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Stay far, far away.
12. Guitar Center
Address: 5141 Brandywine Pkwy, Wilmington, DE 19803 , Greenville , Delaware , United States
I had a great experience at Guitar Center. Almost bought a guitar package on Amazon, put together by a music store. Decided to go talk to a pro instead. As a 55 yr old novice, I was a little embarrassed about my inexperience, in a big store full of “guitar guys”. Tom ((Lasko) made me feel welcome, and he had no problem going over some very introductory stuff and getting me set up with the right guitar for my skill level. I left there feeling good about my purchase. Glad I didn’t buy some internet package deal, which more than likely would have been a mistake. I ended up with a much better instrument, and some real good advice to get me going. Thanks, Tom. I’ll be back.
Love this place.
A very.good store the store guys.were good nice and helpful
very helpful and extremely knowledgable staff, also a great place to meet fellow musicians, engineers and overall cool @ss people…
My son is taken guitar lessons
Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The wait for assistance can be long during busy hours…
Sad to say, the place looks like it’s going out of business….not much of a guitar selection, not much of an amp selection and the store looks dirty and worn out.
In the past, I would have given this Guitar Center a much higher review, but the store has been going in the wrong direction my last few visits. First off, its best feature is now gone: they got rid of their demo room, a nice, quiet place to test guitars on quality amps. They changed it to a repair booth. What’s worse, it’s quite difficult to find an instrument cable, and even if you manage to find one, the majority of the amps aren’t plugged in.
I came in looking to test a few guitars I was interested in buying, I finally found a cable and one of the only amps plugged in, a rather powerful amp, mind you. I had the volume at 2, not much louder than what I’d play in my living room, and someone came over to me and asked me to turn it down. I turned it below talking level, and then decided I couldn’t really make a decision on buying a guitar playing so quietly.
If you’re anywhere near Plymouth Meeting, just go to that Guitar Center. Much friendlier staff and you will be encouraged to play, and play louder, and try pedals, and have fun.
Was looking for a keyboard, asked for help and no one would. Went to b&n instead

Great customer service when I called to ask about a bass amp several weeks ago is why I went back to this place to make my purchase over anywhere else. I spoke to Roger on the phone the first time. Spoke to a girl today and she was very friendly to as was the other gentleman that greeted me when I walked in and in my excitement of getting a new amp I did not get either of their names, but they were very helpful. I recommend this place to anyone who wants genuine help and guidance with products.
Had a great amount of attention and help from two of the gentlemen (Ron and Roger) that were probably the most friendly and polite music staffers I’ve ever dealt with, and were also able to work out some good deals for me. Many thanks to these guys, will definitely be back!
Staff is awsome !
Great place sat 3pm was crowded and they only had one staff so longer then normal for service.
I’ve had good service at this store. The staff is polite, knowledgeable, and helpful.
Selection is pretty low for almost everything. If you need a starter instrument, lessons, or basic supplies then look no further.
They tend to charge list price, but will usually come down to comparable prices if you argue with them. They frequently don’t have what I’m looking for, but they get 2 stars for a total lack of other options in Delaware. Better off driving to the larger competitors in Cherry Hill, NJ.
The staff at Accent Music on 202 has little concern with customers needs. I was given every excuse in the book why my item was not ordered from the manufacturer when I could have ordered it myself and gotten it days ago. No tracking #? No ETA? No resemblance of customer service. I’m sure they like to sell things but just not to me.
15. Charlie Bell Music
Address: 2805 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803 , Greenville , Delaware , United States
I took lessons from Charlie when I was a teenager and now playing music with him 10 years later I can say he is the same kind, encouraging, talented artist and teacher. He is incredibly humble for being a master improviser who knows the guitar inside and out. Highly recommend.

Like it..go in and check it out
Neat place check it out….
Gave me a decent price on my used stereo equipment. Rick is a great guy.
Good service, good selection, and good quality vinyls
Fun little album shop in Wilmington…lots of things to listen to and dig into.
Wasted trip. Called a few days ago about servicing a turntable. Gentleman said a $50 fee if they have to send out. Showed up today and although worker had awesome attitude, all answers were “I don’t know” “I’m not sure”. In fact, she apologized for “sounding unprofessional”. Then asked about purchasing a speaker, but she couldn’t help with that either. Very dissatisfied.
19. Goodboy Vinyl
Address: 2604 Kirkwood Hwy suite b, Wilmington, DE 19805 , Greenville , Delaware , United States
One of the best record stores for good selection that is updated regularly. Super chill staff. Prices are consistently surprisingly low. They make better offers on trade-ins than any other store I’ve traded with, as well. Worth regular visits.
Excellent service and selection
Good little record shop. Not the largest selection but a wide variety
20. Wintsch Violins, LLC R. Teal Wintsch
Address: 601 N Market St, Wilmington, DE 19801 , Greenville , Delaware , United States
Teal adjusted my violin and bow and it really made the sound come alive. A talented luthier that is a true pleasure to work with!
They are very quick to respond to email inquiries and very courteous at all stages of the process. Worth the trip!
Teal restored 3 violins from the collection at the Sanderson Museum in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania.
His claim to fame at the Sanderson Museum is an early Suzuki violin, c. 1914 that was discovered in a barn under the hay, in 3 pieces, covered with barn dirt and old rosin.
His skill in restoring the violin so beautifully and virtually invisibly was nothing short of brilliant!
Great service, however quite slow (or unresponsive) to emails.
