Excellent service and the store has everything you need!
Love this store. If they don’t have what you need they can and will order it for you.
Had what I wanted when Montgomery didn’t but not easy to enter for a handicapped person. Two real high curb steps make it hard to get up from street and again into the store.
It had what I needed
Very knowledgeable. They have a great supply and if they don’t have it or can’t order it they will help you find it.
Old building. Very much like stepping back into 1950s. Very nostalgic.
3. Family Dollar
Address: 217 Cedar St, Greenville, AL 36037 , Greenville , Alabama , United States
Always well stocked and kind employees and quick service.
Great deals and prices
The store has been renovated it’s very organized and much more merchandise. Decent prices. Store manager is awesome, very helpful. I shop there every month.
Nice bargains. Store is a little cluttered.
Customer service is good
Shelves kind of empty but you can’t stock with one person running register and store. Cashier he was nice so it was a good experience
Most of the employees are always on the telephone some of the employees are very nice but some of the employees are very rude you have to actually keep talking to him to make him speak to you. As stores go if it wasn’t so close to my house I’d shop somewhere else
Very poor customer service and management.
4. Walmart Supercenter
Address: 501 Willow Ln, Greenville, AL 36037 , Greenville , Alabama , United States
Mostly friendly staff members (some are a little
Iffy) but it’s pretty good for Walmart standards. Only complaint is that they don’t have a lot of electronics in stock or at least not nearly as many as other stores in bigger cities, so if you’re looking for something like a hard drive or something that’s not really essential, you might have trouble finding it. Overall it’s usually very clean and neat, but stock in certain areas needs to be addressed.
Very friendly
4 hr tire change. Kicker is it was only one tire that needed to be changed.
Can’t be too hard on them, the people who have been there a while are friendly. They’ve stuck it out in some cases since before this location was built, but the management here is not good. At all. Lots of fake smiles from them.
At least prices are okay.
Self check out hell
5. Redbox
Address: 101 Greenville Bypass, Greenville, AL 36037 , Greenville , Alabama , United States
Like most Crackle Barrels, good food and good service! I have stopped here several times while traveling to and from Birmingham, Alabama. It’s off the beaten path like other stores.
I always get either a coffee or iced tea to go.
The bathroom was extremely clean.
Typical C.B. good food.
I needed a good hot vegetable meal and that is exactly what I got. Yummmmm…
Lisa the waitress made things better, not that it needed to be better but she was great
This is a good location. The staff is friendly and the service is good. The bathrooms were clean, but the floors were left quite wet in lunch rush time. I would also recommend allergy-friendly menus be provided.
The staff was nice and food is always good.
Worst CB we’ve been to. The food was bland, the salt shakers were clumped up and unusable, there was no toilet seat on the toilet in the men’s bathroom and they don’t offer the standard CB discounts.
Very slow on our visit but had outstanding server. Kitchen problems, management.
Even though they were not that busy, service was extremely slow. Thirty minutes just to get our bread and when we got it the biscuits and the cornbread were way undercooked. When we finally got our food, some of it was cold. The mashed potatoes and cabbage were not fit to eat. This location has definitely gone downhill since our last visit. Extremely unorganized.
9. Zeds Outdoors
Address: 842 Fort Dale Rd, Greenville, AL 36037 , Greenville , Alabama , United States
Great place to shop. Staffs friendly and very helpful 10/10
Great staff and always a good selection, also if they don’t have what you’re looking for it’s no problem they order it for you. I 100% recommended stopping in and checking the store out!
Great people to deal with!
High dollar
Didn’t shop here
10. Super Foods
Address: 175 Greenville Bypass, Greenville, AL 36037 , Greenville , Alabama , United States
Always love the deli..good food..servings are small but tasty food.
Good produce. Generally produce is pretty fresh and in many cases has not traveled a lot of miles from the producer and you can sometimes find locally grown. Prices are higher than Walmart but on par with Piggly Wiggly. They have the best price for propane BBQ tank swap out that I have been able to find in Greenville.
Everyone is nice, bathroom is gross and hard to find, but it’s really not for customers but they are nice enough to let you use it, so I didn’t mind.
Overall we shop here a lot just avoid peak hours, gets pretty busy in the evenings, especially on friday
Dont like the 10% mess and the prices never beat other grocery stores need some improvements
I like it better before they became the store they are now
Couldn’t find any thing we wanted! I give it 0 stars
Produce is terrible. Lots of items out of stock. Prices are high. Not ever enough registers open. There should be more than one register open at 5 pm during the week.
11. McDonald’s
Address: 112 Greenville Bypass, Greenville, AL 36037 , Greenville , Alabama , United States
We are traveling to bermingham Alabama and stop by for breakfast. Wow can’t believe how friendly the old Lady cleaning the table. And they were all nice to the customers
Very busy day but the service was fast. Food was cooked well also.
This McDonald’s was very busy. However, service was fast and our order, with several special orders was exactly right. It’s been several years since we visited McDonald’s on a family trip and everyone was happy with their food. The salad was a better value and quality than several other fast food chains.
One of the dirtiest mcdonalds ive ever been inside the food wasnt bad but still need to get their act together overall
It was clean and some of the people who worked therefore are friendly
If the fries are hot and fresh they are the best around
Food was not cooked properly the hash browns were not done inside the sausage dripped of Greece tasted like Grease and the McMuffin did not get toasted very poor quality of food
Very dirty. The drink station was messy, trash was spilling out of all trash cans, and the bathroom was covered in toilet paper.
Could use a little cleanup and some Management training from Chick-fil-A. People need to learn how to move the lines better and better customer service.
12. Carquest Auto Parts – 65 SOUTH
Address: 544 Cahaba Rd, Greenville, AL 36037 , Greenville , Alabama , United States
The most helpful auto parts store and service shop in Greenville!
I walked in and was greeted with a smile. I’m very pleased with the service on my car. I will be going back in the future if needed.
While driving down through Alabama our van’s serpentine belt and idler pulley dismantled and wr were stuck on the side of the road near mile marker 117 overnight, the following morming we called the closest advanced auto and O’Riley’s auto asking for assistant for parts as there is no uber or lyft service in this somewhat remote area to get us to the store, Allen at Carquest was able to help us find the parts needed over the phone and one of their team mates even drove out 20 miles to us to drop off the parts we needed at no extra cost. This is unmatched service, I have never experienced elsewhere. Fantastic team and customer service. Like Advanced and O’Rileys they could have left us out to dry but chose not to. We are so appreciative of this team and service! Thank you!
13. Shadow Catchers
Address: 598 Industrial Pkwy, Greenville, AL 36037 , Greenville , Alabama , United States
Great selection of guitars with reasonable prices, my daughter loves her new Epiphone Les Paul!!
Very helpful staff and a wonderful full selection for the music lover.
Great selection, good prices! Everybody has a beard and can play sweet home alabama on any instrument.
Love it
National chain that is the Walmart of music stores.
Ok
Myself and another gentleman were waiting for help forever no one came only person I saw was playing on their phone so I approached and said I guess you don’t want my business and proceeded to go buy speakers at Bailey Bros. Not sure what the gentleman I was in there with did. I have had to search for help before there, so nothing new but this was the worsed!
At 9 am not many donuts are left not a good coffee choice. My coffee was lukewarm.
Employees are discriminating and have no regard to the health of customers! The way they treat disabled people is unacceptable and quite a bold move for company thats going bankrupt.
15. 65 South Service (Car Quest)
Address: 544 Cahaba Rd, Greenville, AL 36037 , Greenville , Alabama , United States
Got an alignment and was quickly done. Least expensive around too
Awesome everything , location is probably greatest problem but only because its kinda hard to find , but once you find it ,awesome.
I go here before I go anywhere else. They are knowledgeable and well supplied with great quality items.
Best parts prices and good help
Alot of different options and more stuff than your usual place lil pricey but fair
Good service
Bought brand new tires for my 2011 Toyota Tundra for almost two thousand dollars. My truck worked fine when I took it in. As soon as they gave me the truck back the tire sensor showed the truck had a bad tire. I tried resetting the sensor but it wouldn’t work. I went back to ask them to reset it and was told the right rear tire sensor didn’t work now. I explained it worked until I got the new tires. I was told they wear out and they wouldn’t be responsible for it. I can promise you my truck will never go back there again.
No other truck of mine will ever go back over there went over there for a mount and balance and they didn’t tighten my lug nuts up all the way up on my front two tires
Put my tire on wrong and they told me that I needed rotors for 280.00 when in fact the bolt that holds the rear end together was broken I should have never driven my car without the bolt in . I do not recommend this place ! My mechanic was very upset that they allowed me to drive my car away from their business with my car in this condition I’m blessed that I didn’t have an accident I went in for a new tire and they didn’t even put it on the lift just shook the tire and said that I needed rotors !! If I had if allowed them to put rotors on I’d be out 280.00 with my car still messed up
16. Guitar Center
Address: 1694 Montgomery Hwy, Hoover, AL 35216 , Greenville , Alabama , United States
Fairly nice selection of acoustic guitars. Friendly staff and clean store.
I ordered a keyboard and amp for my son’s 16th, birthday, and I called to see if they could assist me in surprising him. After speaking to a manager, he assured me everything would be ready and set up when we arrived and it was. Everyone from the managers to support staff were very helpful, courteous and knowledgeable of the equipment I ordered. Needless to say I was able to surprise him and he was very, very happy, and surprised.
This place can be good or bad depending on who is working that day. They do have a good selection but almost everything can be ordered online for cheaper. If you do have to have it now they will price match.
The best part is their guitar tech hands down. He does such a good job setting up and he really knows his old and high end guitars. If you don’t buy anything here at least go to them for setups.
Staff was mostly friendly, but they were incredibly busy. Even so they did the best they could helping everyone. And were fairly informative too.
I shop here and visit this store often. It is a nice store with a great selection of gear. The staff is friendly and I have always received good customer service. However, about 2 weeks ago I wanted to purchase a Shure SM7B mic. I had a -15% coupon from Musicians Friend so I called The Guitar Center told them that I had cash and wanted to buy local.
I asked them if they would be having any sales or coupons for Memorial Day, Father’s Day or 4th of July. I really wanted to pay cash and buy local. After speaking to several sales people and a manager, I was told that they could not tell me or help with any information regarding a sale, and they could not match their sister companies coupon.
So…I ordered from Musicians Friend. Now two weeks later I get a -20% coupon e-mailed to me for father’s day.
I am really disappointed that with a little help I could have saved 5% and paid cash instead of charging this 400.00 microphone. I guess that I am not surprised that Guitar Center is filing Chapter 11. I have to edit this review…after looking at the e-mail it is not a -20% coupon. It is an add for up to -20% off on some items. This does make a difference.
I recently bought a guitar from Guitar Center Chattanooga, and could not be more pleased with the guitar and with the great service I received. They even offered me a military discount, seeing my Army hat. Then, thinking i would receive the same level of product quality and service at the Hoover store, I made the mistake of buying a guitar that retails for $699.00 with action so high it was not playable (0.16″ at fret 12). This guitar was ordered new, because the demo model they had in stock was also unplayable due to very high action, and I was told this would not be the case with one they ordered for me. No true. So, their solution was to charge me another $50+ dollars for a set-up. I took it to a luthier I trust and had it repaired. Then, “Once more into the breech”, I made a second mistake in asking Hoover Guitar Center to order a case for me. I asked my wife to call them to order it, and she was given a hassle, trying to charge her $30 more than their website advertised. Determined, she did not relent, and they grudgingly met their own company’s advertised price. Once it arrived, i went to pick it up, and asked of they met Musician’s Friend price, which was 10% off that day, or would my military 10% discount apply. The “manager”, a filthy-looking tattoo-riddled Dave Grohl wanna-be asked if i was active duty, and i said no, but that their Chattanooga branch offered me a military discount, telling me it was their company’s policy to offer current and former military members a discount. He, apparently incensed, wanders off and comes back a few minutes later to show me something written and taped on the back of a box that stated the discount was for active military. He did not offer to meet Musician’s Friends price. I’ve encountered others like him (anti-military FNG’s that couldn’t hack) so I told him I would take a refund and not darken his doorstep again. There are much better music shops in this area, with professional staff that are a pleasure to do business with. My advice is to spend your hard-earned money at one of those shops.
Guitar store that absolutely hates selling guitars. Or guitar services. This place ought to be replaced by something actually useful. Like a Staples!
I visited the Hoover, Al. location today around noon. I received no greeting nor anyone asking if I needed help. I can see one reason they are in bankruptcy. Their customer service flat out sucks! No wonder so many people have turned to Sweetwater. I ended up leaving without making a purchase. I was looking to purchase either a Gretch or Epiphone hollow body electric and case.
17. Homewood Musical Instrument Co
Address: 1712 28th Ave S, Homewood, AL 35209 , Greenville , Alabama , United States
Knowledgeable, friendly guys with a great selection!
Take your instruments to Jason Burns at Homewood Music. I brought in a 25 year old Martin D-15 that needed some love and he made it play like it was fresh off the factory line. Incredible craftsmanship.
My favorite store in alabama
Good product, Good service.
Friendly atmosphere and lots of instruments.
I’ve never dealt with someone so rude over the phone. The owner tried to guilt me with sarcasm and acted like victim when I questioned a price. Full story: I asked to order a cello string. All was going well (owner answered questions about speed of shipping and availability of the string), but then he quoted a price ($81) that was far above what other shops charge. I said respectfully that “I’ve purchased the string for $45 at other walk-in shops” and he became sarcastic and argumentative with me, claiming he was “holding my hand” through the process, and said “Well, I have to pay $35 for this string so what do YOU think is fair for ME to make? $15? What is 35 + 15, huh? Ohhh, maybe $50 is more than you can afford?” A simple, “well this is my price” would have been fine as a response from him, but I felt disrespected so I hung up and decided I’m never going to spend a dime Homewood Musical Instrument Co. I advise everyone else to steer clear of this shop and the guy who owns it.
18. Ron Partain’s World of Music
Address: 1914 Cogswell Ave, Pell City, AL 35125 , Greenville , Alabama , United States
Friendliest staff ever along with amazing service.
Awesome people great experience.
Great customer service! Nice selection of guitars. Will definitely be back.
It’s a shame places like this will be going out of business soon. If they would have what I needed or was interested in like certain pickups or more interesting pedals and better guitars this would be an awesome place the last time I went in there the walls were filled with Nashville guitars and they had a couple good electrics but literally every acoustic guitar hanging on the wall was a Nashville guitar and I was looking for a Taylor or Martin but I’ve never seen anything like that in that store I go there to buy picks and strings but that’s only because they don’t have a guitar store in Talladega. When they don’t have pickups I need they asked me if I want them to order it but in this day and age I can just do that myself and get it for cheaper because looking at the price of the looper pedals they’re not buying them wholesale they’re buying them straight off of a website and marking the price up.. The people are super nice I hate giving a three-star review but I’m just being honest.
Large selection!! Beautiful instruments!!
It’s a standard small music store. There aren’t a lot of new high end instruments here, but they are all very nice folks.
I read reviews for this shop and thought it was an honest place to sell my gear. I walked in with an Epiphone AJ 220, with an Epiphone molded hardshell case I bought seperately, and an Epiphone “Snake Pit” 15w practice amp. ALL in like new condition. She plugged the guitar in and it was only the fourth time it had ever been plugged in. I never put the guitar in the case without wiping it down first. Look everything I listed up for yourself, and you’ll see what I lost. I messed up and let the lady know that I was in dire need of money for my family. The old guy asked where I bought it, and when I told him, he said he’d lost alot of business to “places like that”. No. I looked around the shop, and all he had was used gear that had been repaired and put up for sale. Junk. My guitar was the nicest instrument there! The reason he’s losing business is because he’s trying to sell junk and beating people in need out of what their instruments are worth. The lady acted like she was on Pawn Stars! If I hadn’t had needed the money really bad, I would have told her where she could stick her $200! That’s all they gave me for everything I brought in. Look up the items I listed, and you’ll see I did my part to support this business! The reviews I read must have been friends of theirs, because they definately misled me. Not fair at all.
Walked in today to look around and from the moment I walked in the door, the older gentleman (I guess the owner?) had his eye on me and was watching me like a hawk, made me feel unwelcome to be there. He asked if I was looking for anything in particular and when I told him very politely he didn’t have what I was looking for he arrogantly told me “I opened this store in 1973 and everything you see in the store is priced the same as you’d get it online” like ok bud I wasn’t complaining about the price you just don’t have what I was looking for. When I told him I wasn’t looking to buy today, and was just looking around he made a sarcastic comment about “well if you’re not buying, we can just put this back on the shelf” ??? I continued to walk around and look at some more product and he continued to watch me like a hawk until I got in my car and pulled out of the parking spot. All of my musician friends have recommended I don’t frequent this store, and I can honestly say, after that experience, I will not and will tell anyone that asks not to either. Lousy excuse for customer service.
19. Art’s Music Shop, Inc
Address: 4647 US-280, Birmingham, AL 35242 , Greenville , Alabama , United States
Nick in the guitar dept is the best around! Knows his stuff and might show you a few tricks!
Great place for instruments
I raised two musicians all the way through college with instruments, service and repairs from Art’s. Absolutely the best!
Family run business that is an honest broker and sales staff, with excellent repair technicians. Compare them on new and used instruments, and repair cost; you will quickly use one of their locations for your music needs.
Big
changed to 4 stars because service isn’t as good as it used to be. It is now only ok. Was also very expensive.
Very helpful but the instruments are pretty expensive
I spent $3500 on a saxophone here and when I tried to sell it back they offered me $150 even though it was in good condition just an fyi
This place is a joke. I called and asked about a mellophone and was told that they had several from me to choose from. I get there and they had one that was new and one from the 70’s they tried sell me. I will stay with Bailey Brothers.
Late or Cello repairs, They had my Cello for 2 days to reset the bridge (takes 15 mins) I had to pick it up and do it my self.
20. Taco Bell
Address: 1017 Fort Dale Rd, Greenville, AL 36037 , Greenville , Alabama , United States
Quick fast service. If any problems they will rectify it right away.
Fast service
Service was fast and friendly. The orders were decent. The Tostadas were great. The burritos were a little slim. But overall a good visit.
Surprising good
Not good, not bad. Just in the middle.
The employees will totally ignore you! Very rude & unprofessional. Food was just dumped in my sack. When I took back to counter, I was ignored for a good 5-10 min. They took my bag repackaged my tacos, didn’t even make new ones. By this time they was soggy. Please don’t waste your money here! I CAN PROMISE YOU, I WON’T BE BACK & I WILL TELL ALL MY FRIENDS THE EXPERIENCE I HAD!
Service was
slowwww
Not good, rude staff, dirty restroom, no soap in restroom.
