Great honest shop here. Had a great online interaction with Dave via email. Want to know why I trust them? Because they talked me out of a purchase. Ha! Thanks again!
Woodbury Music is the best shop around of all of your instrument needs! The shop owner Dave, is both friendly & knowledgeable! I have gotten both common things done (fixing of saxophone keys) as well as unusual things done (fixing of a dulcimer bridge) and everyone has always been great! I have also taken lessons for almost three years now, and my teacher Mike is not only a dedicated teacher, but also a very talented professional. Stop by and check it out!
A hidden gem UPSTAIRS. Don’t miss it. Dave the owner is great, and talented. Patrick Gill is the PREMIER guitar TECH in the whole northwest CT region. He works miracles at a very fair price. Excellent teachers, Will for piano and keyboards and Mike for guitar and bass. Better check them out. I only trust my guitars to Dave and Patrick. Won’t go anywhere else. Seriously.
2. The Music Shop
Address: 22 Mc Dermott Ave, Torrington, CT 06790 , Gurb , Connecticut , United States
My Mom has not played her violin for well over 45 years. She and my daughter visited The Music Shop for the first time today and were very pleasantly surprised at the warm welcome and down home kindness that were shown to them. The owner helped her string her violin and now she can pursue her hobby once again. She told me, “It made my day and gave me back the gift of music to fill an empty spot I have had for a long, long time!”
They were very friendly and had great prices. This will be my regular music shop from now on!
Throughout the years I have purchased guitars, and Equitment,. We miss Leo. He was the music teacher at Lewis S Mills High School in the 70’s. To ?. I graduated in 72. Great music shop. Get just about anything musical.
3. The Music Shop
Address: 405 Queen St, Southington, CT 06489 , Gurb , Connecticut , United States
Very nice small music shop. I went to purchase a drum throne and received excellent customer service. I believe the gentleman’s name is Scott? He was very pleasant. I will definitely shop there again.
Been going to this store for over 20 years. Great service, friendly staff and they do the best repairs around. Scott is very knowledgeable and always takes the extra time to help you out. Prices are great as well. There’s a reason they are still around in a time of superstores and online shopping.
GREAT SERVICE !!!
The cellos were in not in good shape and we had to pay a luthiere to redo repairs that were poorly done when we received the instrument.
Great place but website could be better such as pics of some used equipment. I’m a drummer and would like to see what they have for new and used cymbals, stands, drum kits etc. And prices. I have done business with them and always had a great experience the reason for three stars is the website doesn’t do the music shop justice. All and all great store great people.
4. Bethel Music Center – Instrument Sales, Rentals, Lessons and Repairs
Address: 273 Greenwood Ave #101, Bethel, CT 06801 , Gurb , Connecticut , United States
Where else? Where else in the Danbury/Bethel area can you get all the music, Muzak, musique y musica Stuff and Expertise at all levels and for all genres that you may need?! Where, I ask you. Go ahead, try and tell me. But don’t try to tell me you’ll find nicer, more helpful staff than Sarah and Sophia and Juan and… Don’t even.
Thanks to Sarah, I was able to get a mouthpiece while being 2.5 hours away from home on a gig where I left my mouthpiece pouch. Came through in the clutch for me with a shew lead piece.
Ordered a Kala Baritone Ukulele in from them and they got the order in right away and for a very good price. The one that initially arrived from the manufacturer was damaged either from the start with or during shipping to the store so they immediately sent for a new one. The next one that came was spotless. The store handled this incident very well and I love my new instrument; the customer service was excellent and I cannot recommend this place enough. If you are in the area, buy from here and not from Amazon!
Instrument rentals are great for their prices
Good info from employees
Just stopped by quick. Had a great hour. They are the best
5. Greenwich Music
Address: 1200 E Putnam Ave, Riverside, CT 06878 , Gurb , Connecticut , United States
I was considering the purchase of a guitar for my grandsons birthday. I found the staff at Greenwich Music very helpful and courteous. They even offered a free lesson with the purchase. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a musical instrument and/or music lessons. I did purchase a guitar, and his first”free” lesson is next week! Great place to shop.
Bought a PRS SE guitar from them online. It was priced lower than other stores with the exact same guitar. It got to me quickly and it was boxed well. Very friendly customer service. I would certainly purchase from them again.
Great place for personalized service, because their prices are not any higher than big branch music instument stores. Just wish he carried more guitar selections. But has plenty of guitar needs for anybody local to Greenwhich, that otherwise have to travel for an hr or more to get quality strings, picks, accessories, or even in a bind for a part. Save gas and go here. No pressure great staff! Call first if you have a question on a need.
We were kindly helped in the store, but we were buying a guitar for our son and we don’t live in the US. We were having problems with internet so we couldn’t research correctly at the moment, but they assured that the amp could be used in 220 current. We arrived home and we connected the amp and it didn’t work. So the amp was burned. Apart from that the price was a bit higher than the same thing in other stores, it’s not nice to pay 50 dollars more, but that is just business and anyone can charge what they want. It was our fault that we didn’t do a good research before buying. But the very kind person that assured us that it would work because he used to be an electrician, and it only needed a basic adapter, was totally wrong and now we are home and we lost an amp, so we paid extra for the set and it didn’t work. You were very kind indeed, but please if you are not sure about something, don’t sell it. Because we lost money and we can’t go back because we don’t live there.
It’s a nice place! It’s a bit small but otherwise it’s nice.
Rudest customer service I have ever encountered. The man I spoke to on the phone yelled and hung up on me. When my daughter went in person to drop off the instrument for repair at the agreed upon time, he remained upset and kicked my daughter out of the store. Strongly encourage anyone looking to have their instruments fixed to look elsewhere. Disappointing experience to say the least.
Terrible customer service. Called and said I would be by in 10 minutes for an emergency repair. Guy was nice on the phone. When I arrived 5 minutes early they had closed up and locked. Super helpful…
Their hours aren’t very convenient and I was having a guitar strung and I dropped it off and I didn’t get a call before the store closed and then they were closed the next day Sunday so I didn’t get my guitar until Monday and that was extremely inconvenient. They also have a very small selection of basses.Update, they aren’t even open a couple hours on the 4th of July so I won’t get my guitar till Tuesday I am very upset with this store.
6. Acoustic Music
Address: 4 Maple St, Chester, CT 06412 , Gurb , Connecticut , United States
This is a wonderful resource for excellent quality guitars and other stringed instruments. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
I love this store. Ian and Dan are very knowledgeable and made my shopping experience one to remember. I was able try many different guitars and was able to find the guitar that was right for me.
The guitars in this shop are amazing; all of them make me sound like a guitar hero. The staff is friendly, knowledgable and more than happy to help.
Had a guitar cable when I needed it.
Not many mandolins
Thé Owners are lousy business
No prices listed
7. George’s Music Center
Address: 905 New Harwinton Rd, Torrington, CT 06790 , Gurb , Connecticut , United States
Great customer service. Friendly and knowledgeable. I purchased a guitar online. George promptly answered numerous e-mails and was very flexible with different methods of payment. The guitar was shipped out immediately and I received it the next day, (I live a few States away). I have to say the Guitar arrived in mint, right out of the box condition and plays like a dream. Georges music also carries higher end guitars that will not be found (if even carried) at the average Guitar Center.
Wayne S Cooper
Had replacement parts we were looking for.
Today I visited George’s Music Center because I needed to buy a capo for my Fender Acoustic guitar.
When I walked in I was almost immediately greeted by a friendly gentleman. The store was well stocked with a variety of acoustic and electric guitars and accessories.
After helping me select the capo that worked best for me the gentleman recommended I buy some picks made locally in Berlin, CT. I appreciate that this store pushes items made locally and in the USA . I was thanked for my business on the way out. An overall 5-Star and top notch experience. I will definitely return when back in the area.
Nice shop
If you’re not looking to go too far to get musical instruments. Look no further. Expensive though. But if you don’t care about prices, go for it. Not much of a selection though.
Meh
This place is just awful. The owner is so rude to us that i will never go back. We rented an instrument from him because our normal music store didnt have the instrument and when the instrument broke he said it was our fault and that it wasnt covered and then bad mouthed our local music store.
After going to this place; I must say I will never go back there again. The owner is so rude and disrespectful. Its not even funny. The owner needs get off his anthropocentric state of mind.
8. JC Music
Address: 529 W Main St, Meriden, CT 06451 , Gurb , Connecticut , United States
This is a really good local music store friendly and professional!!!
We have been looking all over for piano books and they had a fantastic collection all at reasonable prices. My daughter is playing from one of our purchases right now!
JC Music have sold my amplifier, clarinets, trumpet. They are very fair and courteous and works with you on getting the best price. I highly recommend using JC Music for you consignment items. Joe D., Cheshire, CT.
Would like to obtain some nice brushes and some type of top hat set used and very sturdy since I break percussion instruments all the time when I perform?
My son, Roberto Luis and Rosa live in Meriden. Are you far from the mall? I have spent a lot of time jamming in Puerto Rico to salsa, merengue, etc but my favorite is funk like Buddy Miles.
My grandson really enjoyed the music lessons and they are very professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend them.
Never have any of the literature or instrument parts I’m looking for. Took 3 months to repair a trombone. I tried to return an item and they wouldn’t give me back the cash to go to another place. The owner has blatantly disrespected my mother on several occasions and doesn’t have much knowledge of much of anything outside of rock music. As far as i’m concerned, this is the worst music store i’ve ever set foot in and would not recommend to anybody.
Completely disappointed. I placed an order in store on a instrument that was never placed with JC music. The customer service was poorly displayed and the options they gave us was not acceptable. I asked to speak to the owner several times and would not get on the phone and made his new employee talk to me. I ended up going somewhere else that was amazing
This was a horrible expierence. They need to get their stuff together, they had already-sold instruments on shelf. They had an amazing guitar sale and when I went to buy, it was already sold! They got my hopes high and let it down and I will not give them my money any longer.
9. The Music Bureau
Address: 1 New London Rd, Salem, CT 06420 , Gurb , Connecticut , United States
Personal and attentive, knowledgeable and professional. You’re not getting treated like a faceless wallet in a warehouse shop here!
The people here are friendly, knowledgeable, supportive and very helpful. I have been taking bass guitar lessons here and am absolutely amazed with my progress. Besides the one-on-one lessons, I also enjoy their group sessions where we get to learn and practice songs together. I also bought a couple instruments, strings, amplifier and some accessories from them at great prices. If you want to take lessons on any musical instrument, or want to rent or buy any musical instrument, I highly recommend the Music Bureau, conveniently located at Salem Four Corners.
Great lessons for all ages, good gear, super friendly teachers.
This business has changed hands a few times. But still has a great selection of core instruments and accessories. Also offer lessons.
10. Guitar Center
Address: 351 N Frontage Rd Space F-3, New London, CT 06320 , Gurb , Connecticut , United States
Christopher, the New London store’s guigar tech, rules.
Ordered my unusual instrument. Much appreciated
Very helpful sales crew.
Plenty of equipment and friendly staff.
Knowledgeable sax guy who pointed me in the right direction for some tenor sax reed’s. Who would’ve thought? Lol
Must be corporate thinking but if you go back a few years ago the had a good selection and quite a bit of used equipment. What happened.
Sold me a guitar pedal that was represented as new, when I got home and opened the box. Guess what? It was used and didn’t have the power cord! I was told by the unhelpful and sarcastic customer service manager Taylor that I would have to pay an extra $200 for the correct new item I was supposed to have gotten in the first place. Taylor wouldn’t give me the contact of his district manager and said that the 1-800 # would. So I called them and they told me Taylor is a liar (the customer service reps exact words) and I would have to file a complaint online. If you have any issues with this ridiculous staff and store contact customer service and ask for Jeremy Hanhold. He is this stores District Manager. Taylor didn’t look too happy I found out the full name before I left the store. I’ll update this review once the district manager contacts me from my online complaint.
NEVER OPEN WHEN YOU NEED THEM. Go to Amazon for better prices and service.
The staff were unhelpful and at times extremely rude to multiple customers during my visit. Your better off going to a local shop or buying instruments offline.
11. Thomas Baxer Music
Address: 16 Washington St, New Britain, CT 06051 , Gurb , Connecticut , United States
Fixed my guitar and my violin from years of having it and he made it look brand new.
Fixed my flute, new pads, inside and outside cleaned, headjoint slides into the body so smoothly after his repairs. Survived through marching band season and 2 concert seasons.
ima trumpet player and came here to look around and poss get a new horn. HE WOULDNT LET ME PLAY THE HORNS UNTILL I BOUGHT THEM!!!!!
BAD COSTUMER SERVICE
WILL NOT COME BACK
I wouldn’t go back to this music shop. I was looking for a used guitar, but Tom was unhappy with me trying out his guitars, or would try to coerce me into purchasing them after I played them. Also, he wouldn’t let others use his equipment without vowing to buy from him. It was a bit ridiculous, and totally defeated the purpose of a music shop. Really disappointed with his service, only 1 star from me.
12. Guitar Center
Address: 50 Boston Post Rd, Orange, CT 06477 , Gurb , Connecticut , United States
Me gusta mucho ese lugar se encuentra de todo para las guitarras y su personal muy amable
Recently made a purchase and opened up a credit card here. Very pleasant experience. Great customer service. Chuck was extremely helpful.
They were very helpful and knowledgeable. I bought it keyboard, and they helped me learn some new stuff about electricdrums I did not know.
Amid the low to mid priced guitars, I was a bit disappointed, because trying to find a brand new bass amp among the used gear was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. The store was not clean and appeared to be in a bit of disarray. It’s been a few years since I have been in this location, and it’s a shadow of what it once was.
It is a large store with a wide variety of instruments, but very few staff.
Nice small Guitar Center.
Absolutely the worst service. Staff was rude and condescending. They were verbally nasty and actively worked to discourage me from making a purchase.
How can you have employees that don’t know what a Mandolin is or if you have any in stock?
No personal attention, was never approached by ANY staff. They were all chatting amongst themselves, not with customers. Percussion Dept looked like a wasteland. Virtually no drum product, other than cheap electronic or used. What goes on?
13. Guitar Center
Address: 120 Hale Rd, Manchester, CT 06042 , Gurb , Connecticut , United States
Cameron is great, sold me many good things that work with my guitar rig. love being a member the string club!!! THANKS GUITAR CENTER
The staff is friendly and helpful. My daughter is taking drum lessons and loves the teacher and is learning a lot.
bought a guitar
Despite the big box rep I usually get what I need from staff that is friendly and helpful.
I’ve only been to this Guitar Center twice, the first time was okay as I was looking to pick up a guitar. I did have a guy I believe called Chris help me and he was very helpful. Today however I felt that I had to write a little review as it’s probably going to be the last time I visit the store.
I called up the store on Thursday night to ask about setting up my guitar. I was told that they don’t really take appointments even though on the website it does say that you can make an appointment. My wife and I took a 1 hour drive to the store this morning to find out that the guitar tech was off sick, which is perfectly understandable.
I was directed over to the accessories department and told to wait there. I spoke to a guy who informed me that there would be a wait of a few days. We told him that this wasn’t mentioned on the phone and that we might not have made a 1 hour drive to come to the store as it’s not on our way to work so it’s a bit out of our way.
The guy didn’t appear to be too upset in that we didn’t receive the correct information and I didn’t believe him when he said that they’ve never had a complaint before. He mentioned that there might be 20 guitars that need to be tuned, this wasn’t mentioned on the phone either, perhaps it was naive of me to think it would be set up there and then.
In fact he agreed that we could have been told more information on the phone but he said it in such a way as if to make me think this has happened before. In my opinion he should have been more focused on my wife and I and not trying to brush us off as that’s what it appeared to be.
We left and on the way home we stopped by a closer store who appeared to be more than willing to help me. I think I will stay clear of this Guitar Center from now on. They do have a nice range of stuff but this staff member didn’t take my concerns to heart.
Great stuff.. very hard to get experien ed help.. walk aroind stsring for hours while most employees help 1 or 2 customers who are friends of theirs for hours.. and so.. you just leave.. sucks really does.. and im a dj been there and other guitar centers many times.. most I know about the equiptment comes from other DJS
*update, 9/2/18, undergoing renovations and no longer buying or taking trades on used gear I was informed by the dead eyed half asleep person behind the counter. Another stellar GC Manchester experience. No reason not to just order from the friendly folks at sweetwater now. Or to be fair, the guys in west Springfield are cool, they just have a horrible selection up there.*
Can’t beat the prices here but the staff are rude, belligerent and awful. Just got off the phone with some guy who didn’t even try to answer my question, just tried to pawn me off on the toll free number. I’d like to tell myself I will never shop there again but sadly they are about the only show in town since they crushed all the little guys. Walmart of music.
14. Guitar Center
Address: 15 Backus Ave, Danbury, CT 06810 , Gurb , Connecticut , United States
Mgr. Ed and Sales person Vince (specializes in drums) gave exemplary service. They were so pleasant, and made my shopping experience a great one. Another reason to shop at your local music store rather than ordering from a black abyss online vendor. Kudos to your and your staff.
Knowledgeable staff, and can’t beat their string of the month club.
Excelente!
A wide variety of instruments at dinner decent prices
Approachable staff, welcoming environment.
I’ve been to several Guitar Centers and this is not my favorite. They have a limited stock of higher quality gear and focus mostly on the lower end models. I have been in twice recently and no one greeted me either time or asked if I needed help even though people were clearly available. Compared to other stores, this one is just OK in my opinion.
This isn’t my first not-so-great experience at this Guitar Center. Today there was a non service-tagged animal in the store and while an associate did try very hard to help my try out a Fractal Audio Rack FX preamp, there was apparently no power amp available to use so that I could here. It’s a shame because I’ve never had an opportunity to try one of those before but I wasn’t going to drop $1000+ on something I couldn’t here first.
I visited this store for the first time on a Sunday. I was hoping to buy my first electric guitar. I walked around for about ten minutes, looked at a few guitars and no one bothered to approach me to help out and make a sale. I didn’t ask for help, because I was already intimated by the store and about starting to play electric guitar. Maybe I was expecting too much, but I won’t be returning to any Guitar Center stores.
Nice people they want to help. Never have any drummer accessories. I check the site and this store never has anything. Always has to be ordered. If you show up they may have one it’s a demo unit and stuffs missing. Every. Single. Time. Terrible I have to drive an hour to a location that has equipment.
15. Westbury Music
Address: 686 Main St, Watertown, CT 06795 , Gurb , Connecticut , United States
Mike the owner is one of the nicest guys. This is a great place for equipment, supplies and lessons.
Informative staff
excellent store, good Fender Selection, nice acoustics, lessons, and school instruments.
Ordered instrument for my son, was told to pick up the next day, went the following day to pick it up and it wasn’t there. Also bought a box of reefs for the instrument and was given the wrong kind. The gentleman that waited on us was polite, although he didn’t recognize us even though we had just been in the day before!
Staff is very friendly and knowledgable.
16. DuBaldo Music Center
Address: 881 Main St, Manchester, CT 06040 , Gurb , Connecticut , United States
I’ve never been more comfortable trying out guitars in a shop. I drove over an hour to get here and the customer service made it completely worth it. They have an incredible selection of great sounding instruments and went out of their way to make sure I found the guitar I wanted. Highly recommend this place.
Fantastic service, fast shipping, and competitive pricing.
I’m not sure how long this review will be, but I will say upfront that buying a guitar from DuBaldo Music was a great experience, from day one until I took delivery of my instrument, and beyond!
I ordered an Alvarez-Yairi Honduran series (FYM66HD) guitar from Pete at DuBaldo music in April 2021.
For those reading this review in the somewhat distant future, allow me to set the scene a bit:
There was a LOT going on in the world during this time. The COVID Pandemic was still raging, and supply chains were snarled at every turn.
Ports were closed, dock workers and truckers were striking or working limited hours under delayed timelines. Parts availability was questionable at best, etc.
VERY long story short: The guitar had to be hand built in Japan, then shipped to the west coast, then shipped to St.Louis, MO, then shipped to DuBaldo Music in CT before I could take delivery. All the while, considering the conditions of the world as described above.
Pete, Lisa and everyone else at DuBaldo music helped me along at every stage, kept me updated, empathized with and tolerated my frequent calls for updates, contacted the distributor in St. Louis on my behalf, and were generally very pleasant to work with over a period of just over one full year.
I will not pretend that I wasn’t itching to receive my guitar, or that the extended delay didn’t bother me. It was a maddening wait!
But I want to make it crystal clear:
DuBaldo music did their absolute best to get it to me as quickly as possible, considering the extremely challenging circumstances. I can’t say enough about their customer service. It was exceptional at every stage!
When I made my order over the phone, Pete answered all my questions and made sure I was comfortable with what I was ordering as far as the specs were concerned. We made a deal on a VERY good price, and the wait began.
I won’t bore with the details, but between Japan and Connecticut there were numerous significant delays. Mostly unavoidable and one or two caused by decisions that St.Louis Music made, and/or failed to communicate ahead of time.
Pete and Lisa worked through all of this for me deftly, and professionally.
I am not local to the store. I live in DC, about 6 hours away. When the guitar finally arrived, there were 3 in the order, and Pete and Lisa let me know that I could have my pick of the three. Instead of having Pete play them for me over the phone and choosing from pictures, I decided to drive up and try them out in person, and drive it home myself.
Lisa and Nick were more than accommodating, and I was made to feel very comfortable while taking my time to decide. All 3 guitars were incredible instruments and it was a tough decision. Nick provided periodic feedback and assistance as I tried them over a period of about 3 hours. I never felt rushed, bothered, or unimportant. They made sure I was attended to but was not hovered over.
They knew exactly how to help a musician pick an instrument, and it is clear that they wanted to make sure I was equipped to make the right choice, and leave satisfied.
On the way out, as they knew I was a visitor, they even provided local restaurant recommendations, since I had mentioned that I was making my best effort to eat at great places while I was on the road.
I was, and am still, very happy with the decision I made, and with the entire experience of buying from DuBaldo music.
I cannot recommend them highly enough!
My only disappointment was that after a year of talking to him several times a month on the phone, I didn’t get to meet Pete in person, since he was out sick the day I visited.
Hopefully he’s feeling better now, and if I’m ever back in CT, I’ll be sure to stop in and thank him personally!
Thanks again to Lisa, Nick, Pete, and everyone at DuBaldo for a trying, long lasting,, but ultimately completely satisfying experience! The guitar is utterly amazing and will be with me forever, as will the experience of shopping with you.
Great service
17. Sam Ash Music Stores
Address: 95 Amity Rd, New Haven, CT 06515 , Gurb , Connecticut , United States
SAM ASH IS AWESOME! The staff was super helpful; they gave me a long rundown of what I was buying. I was looking for a beginner DJ controller and Mike in the DJ department was super helpful. I will always go back to Sam Ash. Did I mention that they have FREE DJ classes every Saturday? Anyway, I strongly recommend that you go to Sam Ash.
The repair man Austin is the Goat. He’ll walk you through how to do simple things yourself
Very friendly and helpful with a nice selection. I cannot stress how fantastic the help was. Will go back again
Awesome music things and great customer service is a plus!!
Nice people, good prices,!
Staff was incredibly helpful in helping us find what we needed, and there was a good selection to choose from. I wish their selection of equipment was a little bigger.
Rude and didn’t give me the time of day to hear what I had to say or help me
Very, very limited assortiment of MIDI keyboards, and very unhelpful staff
Everyone was super helpful until I cordially opted to not provide a phone number at checkout. Jordan was helping me and claimed he needed an address or phone number to process the transaction. I pointed out that Radio Shack usually enters a fake number and he ended up doing the same but his entire demeanor had already changed. He set my card and then the pen (to sign the receipt) down on the counter rather than hand them back to me (seemed deliberate but of course I don’t know for certain). I said “Thanks, have a good day” as we finished up but he turned away and didn’t say anything in return. He definitely seemed to take the fact that I didn’t want to provide any personal information way too personally. Pretty silly, if you ask me.
18. Guitar Center
Address: 839 Queen St, Southington, CT 06489 , Gurb , Connecticut , United States
Walked in here looking for a guitar. Had no clue what to get, started working with Raymond. Very knowledgeable man. Raymond did not steer me wrong. I love me guitar. This guy knew pretty much very thing about everything. Thanks Raymond !!
Piano lesson by Isaac Fabulous
Went here recently to have my guitar fixed and picked up a few accessories, the staff was very nice and helpful and the manager even complimented my hat (had a band we both liked on it), i believe the repair techs name was Tim, super great guy. He fixed my guitar incredbly quick and it felt and played better than the day i got it. Overall they made my experience very good and the staff there are a bunch of great guys!
It’s a good place to buy music equipment, especially used stuff. Some staff are really helpful, others not so much.
Not bad…you’d figure they would be more eager to help customers like in their Manchester location but no.
Sold my bass amp. No pressure, fair price. Would recommend.
I personally have had Nothing but bad experiences with g.c over the years, will not be spending anymore of my hard earn money at guitar center
Horrible service staff snobby
Found the amp i wanted, staff was too busy doing nothing to ask if i needed help so i left and placed my order with an online retailer. Enjoy getting paid for doing nothing while you can because when guitar center closes this underperforming store you will be able to do nothing full time for free.
19. Killerburst Guitars
Address: 1221 New Haven Rd, Naugatuck, CT 06770 , Gurb , Connecticut , United States
Jon, the owner, is very knowledgeable for repairs, and instrument care, and will do all he can to take care of you! Has a beautiful selection of guitars, amplifiers, and accessories.
Jon was knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly helpful. He has a terrific shop with a ton of great, varied products. He was really easy to deal with and an absolute pleasure to talk gear with. The Ibanez RG565 that I purchased from him was an almost life-long pursuit, and I’m glad that I purchased it from Killerburst Guitars.
This place has some very nice equipment
Good I guess
20. Creative Music Center
Address: 701 Main St, Monroe, CT 06468 , Gurb , Connecticut , United States
Awesome staff and great deals! No surprise they have 5 stars!!!
I love this place, i go in just to look at the product and I always end up buying something.
Nice music store in Monroe, we bought a cute ukulele here!
I just went to this store with my violin wanting the sound post set and to re-hair my bow. When I walked in there were two ladies at the counter. As I opened my case asking the the lady in the white turtle neck with straight brown hair if they re-hair bows? She snapped that they didn’t. The nice girl next to her chimed in as said out loud “She re-hairs bows?” Then the other lady gave a look and said I would need to buy a new one! She then picked up my violin and started to point out things about my only violin that were not good enough for her to re-set my sound post! I then asked “How much to just re-set the sound post?” She refused me service and said “Good Luck!” AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU CAN! I think I didn’t fit the “type” they prefer to give services to?
Poor customer service.
Brought my daughter’s flute in to be repaired. Over a month and they never touched it. No time table given for when they would fix it.
