The staff is always really kind and helpful at the one inside of Walmart on Hwy 92 in Woodstock, Ga. I brought in my daughter’s guitar today to get new strings and the gentleman Josh who helped us was wonderful. He helped me select strings within my budget and restrung her guitar promptly. He was also professional and knowledgeable with an inquiry I made about a future purchase. I will continue to shop here and am so glad they are in town. They also teach lessons and have beautiful instruments and very good prices as well.
Everybody is so nice!
Whitney was very pleasant and informative. My daughter is delighted with her new trombone.
Had a rental from them for almost a year. Was a rocky start to be honest as the kids waited several weeks for their instruments and they were never serviced at the school as mentioned in the rental agreement. Assuming they are just short staffed like everyone else.
Went into the location to go ahead and purchase the rental we had and they were super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend as long as it isn’t an urgent need
A normally great place, I bought my first bass guitar here years ago and haven’t had a single issue with it. I recently payed and scheduled for a month of vocal lessons. I got my 15 minute trial with the teacher and everything went wonderfully, I loved the teacher. They scheduled someone else in my extract same time, I am unable to come in for any other time and I have yet to even get one full lesson in. This is the first time I have ever been this unsatisfied with this place. I’m highly disappointed and don’t know if I’ll be coming back to this location again.
Was not impressed by the instruments. Overpriced for the quality
Definitely a sham. I personally never signed ANY form of contract with this company but am being told that my debit card info can not be removed from an account and that they have the right to process it as they see fit. I escalated the case to a so-called manager(Melanie) who haphazardly calls back days later and never looked into the data of the account. Once I begin explaining to her that I NEVER SIGNED ANYTHING she rudely cut me off to reiterate their policy. There is no legal policy that authorizes a company to process transactions without the cardholder’s consent, period.
Need better customer service.! The woman at front desk was terrible and ignorant. No service mind and not helpful at all .
I asked for cello rental but she just said “We don’t have it . Try other location … That’s it?? She didn’t even look at my face when she talked..!
I Won’t do business with this place anymore (used to send my son for guitar lessons)
Disappointed ☹️
The guy was great after he said something stupid and made me mad then he took care of the situation.

Mitch is always a great help and very knowledgeable!
I had an absolutely AMAZING time here. The staff are some of the nices people you’ll meet, the prices are great, and they have a wide variety of gear. Talking to the staff there is like talking to an old friend. Truely a great experience!
Inspected my guitar for free
Had some cool stuff
Bought all my guitar accessories here
I have great deals.
I can never get a call back from this place. In person, the service is great but they have had my son’s instrument for 3 weeks and no one will return my calls. Very disappointed.
I purchased a flute from here, one year ago, in hopes that my daughter would do well with it. Unfortunately, after a year that has not been the case. I contacted the store in hopes of transitioning her into another horn but the owner was unwilling to work with me at all, even though I’m a past customer. Therefore, I do not recommend this store.
The employee I spoke with was very nice. Unfortunately when I spoke to the owner about selling 2 of my instruments, he was quiet the opposite. He didn’t greet me what’s so ever, barely made eye contact, went straight to inspecting the instruments. He Told me he didn’t want one because it was “falling apart and it would cost more to fix” (which it wasn’t, it was barley used) and offered me an extremely low price for the other instrument, without any explanation. I ended up going to Music GO Round in Duluth and I’m extremely glad I did. Both instruments were in good condition.
Such an awesome experience. As professional as they come. Kept me up to date all the way through the process. And worked with me on the payment. Highly suggest! And can’t say enough good things. Thank you Rare Bird Flutes for this amazing instrument and all your hard work!!!
Amazing craftsmanship and the sound from the flutes are absolutely incredible.
These flutes are masterpieces made from a good man with a good family. A lot of love and time goes into each one.
Derek and Becca make a great team of spreading their love to the community.
They blessed my wife and I by playing at our wedding right before we walked down the aisle.
Im so grateful to know them and watch them grow so much over the years.
Purchasing helps support small business and helps family. You wont regret it ⚛️

They were like $40 cheaper on a certain item than anywhere else and great customer service & great atmosphere
Rented band instrument for child. Friendly and helpful
UPDATE 2/20/21 According to website store is not open except by appointment. Need to update Google listing with new hours so someone doesn’t drive up here expecting to drop off an instrument for repair.
Friendly staff and a nice store
This isn’t a complaint, but a retelling of my experience with Jireh. You should take it for what it’s worth and make your own mind up about who you patronize.
I needed to rent some equipment overnight and was tempted to try these guys out since they are only 15 minutes from my home. Not only are they convenient for me, but I wanted to support a local business – not a chain. This was intended to be an overnight rental that involved 3rd party payment. I was going to just do the pick up and drop off, since this was a not-for profit event and I was offering my deejay services for free. Fortunate for some, but unfortunate for me, the shop isn’t open on Sunday, so I had to keep the equipment in my garage until Monday, with an expected return by 11am…Tricky for those of us with less than flexible 8-5pm weekday jobs.
Through no fault of Jireh’s, the extra day through me off and I simply forgot to load the two speakers in my car to transport to my office on Monday. I remembered about the equipment at 3:30pm and called Jireh immediately to let them know of my mistake. I offered to have them back by 6pm after I returned home from work and loaded up. The manager was quite unforgiving and told me that I would be charged a 2nd full days rental, even though this would only be about 7 additional hours out of 24 (less than 1/3). I asked if he could pro-rate the fees and I would be glad to pay for the additional hours, but he said that “wasn’t how we operate”.
To his credit, he eventually took off 22%, but considering the amount of revenue they COULD have potentially made from my future rentals, why he didn’t agree to charge me for the overage based upon a per hour rate, is baffling. I was told after inquiring upon arrival that the equipment had not been booked from 11am to 6pm on Monday, which means they didn’t lose any revenue from my late return. There only existed the POTENTIAL to rent the same equipment out, and for this, I would have to be charged another day.
They guy who checked me in was very kind, friendly and seemed to understand my cause, but made mention that he was under orders from his manager (who wasn’t present at the time) to charge me accordingly. He was a good guy.
Its unfortunately that some businesses in these times must scrape the barrel for every penny either because they are sharks or just to survive another day. Not too sure where Jireh fits in, but as an independent DJ, I really do get “it”, but… long money is much better than short term profit. Good customer service and flexibility with policy, ensures returning customers, positive referrals and greater income.
Pro sound, but I don’t know about his prices. Excellent stock of repair parts. 99% of the instruments are beginner grade or junk, but if you find that one gem, you can get a good deal.
It said it would close on Saturday from 10am-2pm I showed up at 1:20 and they were closed I drove 5.5 miles just so it can be closed. When I called customer service they didn’t answer.
this place is a RIP OFF, feel free to support local business but they suck as soon as you have ANY issue no matter how much money you’ve spent there or how long you’ve been coming .
6. Sound Associates Music Ltd
Address: 225 N Perry St, Lawrenceville, GA 30046 , Gwinnett County , Georgia , United States
Great place to shop for older instruments, staff knows their stuff. Honest!!
Knowledgeable staff and born musicians all around
LOTS of hidden gems in here. Great prices and super helpful customer service
This is that store you walk into and know something great is LITERALLY buried in there. No music store has more stuff gingerly stacked into perilous mountain ranges throughout the store. The prices here are a little high, and the owner doesn’t like to haggle, but you can still get a deal here. Pedal buyers look elsewhere because the owner sells most of his pedals online, leaving very few in store.
Music stuff staff has lots of knowlage on insturments.
Good… vintage store
Store to small for so much stuff in it
Very crowded and when I went there the person working went to go talk to another customer and forgot about us.
7. Depot Records

If you want to find old records or posters, this is the place to go. Tons of options at affordable prices
Great little record store. Friendly owners.
Great shop, tons of records to dig through!
My daughter loves this place.
Always able to find at least one or more albums. They play good music as well.
Need prices on inventory. Otherwise cool shop in cool location.
I do not mean to be rude or offend, but seeing as it’s a review of a business, I can’t sugarcoat it. I called ahead of my visit to get a price estimate on some records I had. The man on the phone was quite rude to begin with, insulting some of the records I had and being quite dismissive and just plain unfriendly to me. They offered me $55 for 10 high-quality records… Y’all need to check out Mojo Records in Roswell for selling records. They give you a great price, and have a larger selection. That’s what you’re looking for in a good record store. I would not recommend going here.
Came in bought some records after going to their show at the brewery. Wife asked me to go back and get one for her so I go back in watch the associate pay for a box of records gave the 35 dollars I found one album from the box and she wanted to charge me 25 dollars for the one album I wanted. Could not believe the gouged price won’t recommend to anyone
Visited the store the other day. Lots of vinyl, most of the records were in the 5 buck range. My friend asked about 45s and the lady running the store told him they were in the other room. After he picked through them (with no prices on any of them) he brought them to the counter and she quicklu picked through them, pulled several out of his stack and said “these are not for sale” store in full of records but poorly organized. hard pressed to find a gem here

There is only one top string instrument store in Metro Atlanta, and that’s Tonareli Music Supply/Atlanta Strings. The instrument are amazing, the service is top notch, and the orchestra passionis real.

Awesome customer service, great prices and a great selection of quality instruments! The associates really know their stuff and are quick to assist. I especially appreciated Scotty’s knowledge and assistance. He was superb! I wish I could give him more than 5 stars!
Great place to get your stringed instrument repaired. They also have many instruments for sale. Cute dog that greets you.
Knowledgeable and talented professionals. Honest and reasonable prices. Great service!!
11. All Good Vintage Guitars
Address: 435 Fairway Walk Dr NE, Lawrenceville, GA 30043 , Gwinnett County , Georgia , United States
Excellent service, thanks to Brandon. Top Notch experience, found exactly what I was looking for in an acoustic guitar.
Great customer service, enthusiastic. It may take a while as thry have a lot of things to juggle, but they give you the attention you need and set you up with the gear to test out your product. (Tip: No stairway to heaven pls)
I was there doing some post-Christmas shopping. The staff member I worked with was very helpful. He did not push me into extra purchases although he did make suggestions. I got a good deal plus a veteran’s discount. I will shop there again. The only difficulty lies in the traffic surrounding the location. Depending on the time of visit, it can be hard to go in the direction needed.
The staff is always helpful, I wish they had a larger selection of practice amps.
Real talk, as soon as I walked in, they punched me right in the face! I loved it
Slow service, waited in line for 20 minutes with the store basically empty and still had nobody to ring me up. Have also had several encounters with rude employees
Service is pathetic
Worst guitar center ever. No one help and just want you waste your time here. Everyone came ask if I need help. After I said I do need help everyone just mention they are busy and sent someone else to help. What is the point for this kind of customer service? Worst ever!
Great selection and great prices. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Knowledgeable about instruments. Helpful. sometimes a little long in getting back repairs though.
Me gusta ir ay porque lo que busco ay lo en centro y no ando buscado por todas las tiendas ay va lo seguro
I’m sure this will be looked at as the “just a bad experience review” but I’ll just lay it out and let you decide.
Monday – Brought my bass in to be setup. Waited about 2 and a half hours to be told that they don’t do setups in house. I was also told it would take at least a day.
Tuesday – called in in the afternoon and it still wasn’t picked up.
Wednesday – had a gig Wednesday night. Called at 1. Asked if my bass was picked up. I was told it wasn’t yet. I responded sayibng that I needed my bass for gig. Do not send it off. I show up at the store at 7pm that night to pick up my bass. The store clerks tell me that my bass was already picked… At 12 and whoever was wrong. The clerk tried to call the guy who does their setups and it went straight to voicemail. He told me that he could rush the setup and could have it back early Thursday. I decided to just to borrow my guitarist’s bass and pick up my bass Thursday.
Thursday – I show up to the shop at 7pm. My bass is behind the front desk waiting for me. I tell the clerk that I’m here to pick the bass up. He hands me the bass and tells me that i denied service so nothing was done with it. I left the shop with my bass in hand and never stepping foot in that shop again. I’m also sending my students elsewhere.
Update: my bass is chipped…
Came in an hour before close to sell some gear. A couple of things:
1. Staff/atmosphere: The staff wasn’t very welcoming and made their annoyance known about me trying to get an appraisal an hour before close.
2. Accessibility: all the amps were disconnected, making it inaccessible to try out guitars.
3. Prices/trade-in value: They have a USA-made vintage guitar listed for $599. They barely offered me $200 for an almost identical guitar (same year, same condition) and claimed that “$200 is what they go for.”
Only reason I’m rating two stars instead of one is because they do have a good variety of instruments.
Won’t ship items unless it has been in the store for 150 days!!! What a joke.
This great band is build up with friendship, hard work, dreams, courage, they bring joy and happiness I have danced with this beautiful sound of their music and highly recommend a fantastic group
17. Lawrenceville-Suwanee School of Music
Address: 1612 Collins Hill Rd, Lawrenceville, GA 30043 , Gwinnett County , Georgia , United States
After touring another music school nearby, we felt like it was a five star experience in customer service with LSSM. From the very start, after enquiring on the phone at the PIB location, and when we went to the wrong location, Carrington got on a phone call and touched base with McKenna with whom we had spoken and had all of my daughter’s information ready at the snap of a finger. They guided us without wasting time, and when we finally went into the location we were interested in, we were floored ! This is a huge school with plenty of instruments and tons of positive reinforcement. Our kid is a little advanced in piano and needed the right teacher. She is taking lessons now with Asia. She loves her new instructor. She’s eager to perform at the upcoming recital and we are eager to sign up for Carnegie Hall next year … and we might start her off on another instrument 🙂
First day back to live lessons, awesome day!
Staff is friendly and kiddos love their teachers❤️❤️
So far we have a great experience with this music school. Everything is pretty organized and my son loves his teacher. He progresses well and love to play his music.
Seem really cool, can’t wait till my 3 year old starts, he’s already excited.
I like it but I think 1/2 hr classes may be too short
Place is definitely confusing to find. (Reason for the 4 stars) Otherwise, no worries. Friendly people, nice facility, teacher who seems willing to teach to my needs, not on a fixed schedule of her own.
It seems to be a good music school, but the service is unfriendly, the people working the desk made my 4 year old cry, and she was laughing at how he was crying. she did not want to attend to me because she did not have time for me. and I saw how she attended to other pardons. I do not recommend this place.
Dear the owner in Lawrence ,
Your school is amazing but the front desk worker not professional at all .
They have face smile with unhappy way to treat the people..
They have many mistakes in my schedule and we correct the situation and we courage them that it’s happened the mistakes some time .
But they are not helpful till now , I ask AB in the front desk before the month starts that I will travel with my family and we are not able to join the classes for this month and we would like to change the time and the teacher for our kids .
She said from ten days ago I will talked to the owner and the owner in front of me and I can talk to them directly she said no and she will talks to them .. it takes fro her one week to speak to the owner then she send message after many email to tell me that they will charge me the month and the month after if I don’t bring the doucement that we are travelling.. this is unpleasant way to treat your clients even my husband informed them that we need to change the teacher and the time on June 29 .
AB after 14 days answer me that they will hiring new teacher at the same time our money gone ..
I think this not professional way how they act also I don’t give any approval to let them take any money from my account and when they charge me each month they don’t send any receipt for me no by email ni by paper print it ..
I’m looking forward to the owner to hire new worker more professional not lost like AB and Ashley .
I need to solve this problem in the good way not the way what I received on my email .
Thanks
I vacillated for a while on whether or not to leave the feedback for this place that is warranted, but after months of mulling it over, I know it is the right thing to do. This is where my child learned how to play the violin. Initially, the teacher wanted me to be present during the lesson in order to guide her and be involved with her learning how to play it, despite my complete lack of knowledge or experience with it. That proved only to hold her back, since I do not know how to play the instrument and despite the teacher showing me what to correct my child on. I made it clear with the teacher that my involvement was only holding her back and that my obligation was ensuring she practiced, getting her to the lessons on time, and paying for the lessons. Once I stepped out of it and made it between her and her teacher, my child flourished in playing. When she was given her song to play for the recital, she was barely moving through the book and progressing forward. She practiced Twinkle Twinkle Little Star from June-July until the recital in December, and she hardly worked on much more than that. That was issue #1. Issue #2 was I let the office receptionist know in advance that we would be gone for 2 different weeks during the summer for family vacations, and she assured me that my child would be able to make up those lessons, privately. Every time I brought making those 2 lessons up, I was assured they would be made up by such-n-such a time. I figured once the summer break was over with and school started back up, making up those lessons would be a great challenge since the teacher’s schedule was full, and there was a student right after mine. I had been told they would be made up before the December recital. I realized in early December, 5 months after the fact and bringing it up at least twice, that wasn’t happening. I called and spoke with the owner who seemed to be very caught off-guard and nervous about this. She insisted on meeting with me in person, so I did. When we met, instead of being apologetic for the way things had gone and simply correcting them, she was defensive. and the meeting lasted 45 minutes, and I was still confused. She defended the parental involvement approach that I suspect comes from her (and not the teachers), when I had not even brought that up with her. She agreed to allow my child to have her lessons extended 15 minutes to make up one of the lessons and she would have a group lesson to make up the other lesson. Apparently, the group lesson was their make-up policy that I had signed off on, but I did not have a copy for myself to refer to, which would have rectified all of that. I have no idea why the receptionist did not just set my child up for the group make-up to begin with, but that was never mentioned at all by her. The group make-up ended up being canceled due to weather, and no make-up day for that make-up day was issued by the studio. The teacher was out sick for another lesson, and their solution was to give her a lesson 2 days after her regularly assigned lesson, which is useless since there would be very little progression in skills in practicing for 1 day in between. All of this could have easily been rectified from the very beginning with the summer make-up lessons by crediting our account OR informing us about the group make-up lesson, which obviously did not happen. Between the lack of make-ups and the confusion about it when there should have been none, the defensive, hostile attitude of the owner in place of simply making things right and the nagging feeling that they were holding my child back led me to pull her from here, and it was the right thing to do, because she has flourished and progressed. She is eligible and is strongly encouraged to play in the orchestra. For her last recital, she practiced the song for 2 weeks, and she did a fantastic job. The owner did refund us for all of the missed lessons, but it is a shame she just did not do that to begin with. The teacher here was good, and I strongly suspect she was simply following the protocol of the owner.
