This is an excellent store and a great example of why you should buy from local music stores. They help you expand your knowledge, and the prices on their instruments like guitars are amazing. I enjoyed seeing that their guitars had amazing prices while having superior wood and upgraded pickups. You gotta give this store a look. I’m sure they provide something that the commercialized store can’t.
This place was huge & awesome. The associate at the desk helped me quickly and I was on my way.
Awesome company for all your band needs. Awesome service after the sale. The trumpet repair man was extremely nice. Very helpful. Highly recommend.
The level of customer service you receive really depends on who you speak to at the company. Some do not understand customer service while others go above and beyond to help you out.
Not a happy place , they hardly acknowledge your presence. Put a guitar on layaway and the girl behind the counter was extremely rude when I came in to make a payment, I forgot they charge 15.00 if you want to use a card and I said sounds like it a tax scam . She said I didn’t have to come there, my layaway is Seven hundred dollars, maybe a little respect would go a long way. Last purchase I’ll make with these people.
Update : okay I went back today and my experience was much better.
I definitely over reacted on my last visit, I still feel a little slighted by the girl saying I didn’t have to come there.
That said Art’s is a fine store .
I went looking for a 6string bass guitar and was disappointed. They mostly had 4string basses and only two 5string basses… maybe 10 bass guitars all together. Wasn’t impressed with their inventory.
I contacted this store about purchasing our instrument. I was instructed to contact their salesman, Mike, to set that up. He picked up our intrustment and advised in a couple of days we would hear back. After 3 weekdays, I called to check in, their staff acts like they have no clue what is happening. I must’ve repeated myself 10 times before I was told that the manager had not reviewed our instrument for purchase, so I waited several more weekdays. I called back again, got the same runaround and was told again that the manager hadn’t been in the office and had not reviewed it still. I was told she would let me know something soon, but the manager had to review it and he was out at a doctors appointment. Literally 2 minutes later, the girl called me back and said they do not carry Blessing instruments. I laughed and said okay, I’ll just have it picked up and brought back to me. Basically this company lies to customers and when they’re too lazy to inspect an instrument that they asked me to send in and then say they don’t carry that brand. Mind you, my instrument was picked up and taken to this store that is 200 miles away. What a huge waste of time and energy on my part and the salesmen. Poor customer service all the way around.
I use to use capital music, but since capital music went out of business,I had to purchase a music book from Arts.well to make along story short,I purchased a book from arts when they came to our school and was told that it would be about a week or maybe two before we would get it.Well, a full month has gone by and they still had not delivered our books to our school so I called bailey brothers store and asked if they carried Standered of Excellence music books and they said that they did,so I went to Arts and insisted on a refund even though they told me they had it in,because I was thinking to myself that if you had our schools order in then why hasn’t it been delivered. By going to bailys I alsn saved myself $4.00 as well.
They really price gouge parents of high school band kids. My daughter needed a clarinet. The salesman convinced me that for $90/month she could have a durable, great sounding, top-of-the-line instrument. Well she got to play it for 1 season because of Covid-19 causing cancellation of most of the events. So basically she got a couple months of usage and I had to pay on the thing for years, amounting to about $4000. Then they offered me $400 to buy back the clarinet that was still in pristine excellent condition. I probably would have taken $1500, but I think they could have offered at least $2000 since they can easily resell the instrument. To add insult to injury they made me pay $50 to ship it back to our house after it took them almost 2 weeks to appraise it at the store 3 hours from here in Mobile because I rejected the offer for $400. If anyone needs a nice wooden clarinet, find me on FB and message me. I’ll give you a much better deal than Art’s.
