mailed my drum and had it back in a week, great turn around&great job done. Relaceing&new heads are great!
Ladies and gentlemen, Jason and Lorrie Davis make amazing sounding, tunable drums. I have a 10″ drum they called “Latte”. I think I’ll rename it “Mocha”.
The tone fills the room! I can’t stress how good this drum sounds and how well it complements an acoustic set! I haven’t tried it with electric.
Back in 2009-2010, I think, Jason and me worked at Guitar Center in Little Rock, AR. I’ve known he does quality work for years, but I’m genuinely surprised at how good this puppy sounds.
Please support a high quality small business and buy your drums from Jason and Lorrie.
I had taken two drum making classes with Jason as the assistant to Doug Powell, before Doug sold business to Jason and Lorrie. I gave away my first drum and never felt like my second one was a good fit for me. When Jason and Lorrie had the color choice contest on FB I could just “see” the drum I knew I could learn how to play! They chose my colors, which was also colors chosen by 2 other folks. I took it as a sign and arranged to purchase the drum. They made sure I liked how they were going to finish it out. They delivered it today, it is just what I wanted and I couldn’t be happier.
Now can’t wait to start drum lessons with them! New World Drums knows what they are doing, and they want you to have the drum experience you want to have.
5. MoJo’s Records
Address: 123 Spring St, Eureka Springs, AR 72632 , Holiday Island , Arkansas , United States
Really cool shop!! Their tshirt designs are really cool too; it’s difficult to pick a favorite!
This is a must see in Eureka Springs. It’s a blast from the past. You will spend hours in there walking through the past. The owner is super knowledgeable and friendly.
The Owner Morgan is Awesome and extremely helpful. An incredible array of Vintage and New Records with very RARE / hard to find records as well!! This is the Favorite place to go for My Wife and I when in Eureka Springs, AR!! You gotta come see their selections to believe it for yourself!! We will always be back again and again!!
Offer too little for LPs
Not a great selection and kinda expensive
I’m happy Eureka Springs has a record store at all. The woman at the counter was cordial to a certain point.
My MoJo shopping experience was indicative of the rest of my day in Eureka Springs overarchingly. That town has morphed into something which I no longer recognize, having traveled there many times since early childhood. It always had a magic, regardless of my age. But my lack of affinity for people endlessly wearing their fluted flags on their every single thing presents a proper lens through which my words here could be considered or understood.
Since I support everyone in their being good men, women, boys and girls and especially when they own a record store of any kind – I decidedly purchased a used vinyl from MoJo’s for twice what it will ever be worth. This is a town bent on tourism, so do not expect prices to be low. Sadly, I cannot say that I was hugely impressed with Mojo’s but, like I have said, I’m no longer impressed with Eureka Springs.
I shared the Gouda fondue charcuterie board. The fondue was bland and had to have salt just to make it have any flavor. The pickled onions were very flavorful and the bits of bread were okay.
Was incredibly disappointed when we visited. Basically the shop has a huge number of thrift store records and cassettes and only one rack of current releases, nearly 2/3rds of which were jack white albums with nothing that had actually been released new this year.
Edit: After receiving a response I just wanted to be clear that it is not at all unusual for someone going into a record store to assume that business would be interested in supporting the artists and owners of labels attempting to keep vinyl alive.
6. Winterwood Recording Studios
Address: Eureka Springs, AR 72632 , Holiday Island , Arkansas , United States
The gentleman that gave Winterwood Recording Studios a one star review has never made a recording at Winterwood. In fact, he isn’t even a musician. This one star review is clearly a mistake. In fact, because this is a bogus rating, Winterwood has the lowest of all possible ratings which is a zero — no ratings at all. Considering the number of gold and platinum albums our staff has earned over the years, there’s no need to stuff our own mailbox.
7. The Farmhouse Restaurant
Address: 5 Woodsdale Dr, Holiday Island, AR 72631 , Holiday Island , Arkansas , United States
So great to have a restaurant by the lake. Excellent food! Great atmosphere! We are so Excited to know that someone else believes in the potential of Holiday Island enough to open this amazing restaurant. I really hope the locals support this place and future growth. Hats off to the owner!
Great breakfast!
OMG!!! The food is utterly delicious. Great atmosphere and all the employees are amazing and so helpful!!! Everyone, do yourself a favor and eat here!!! Don’t think about it just do it!!!!
Update 2023-10-10: New Owners, New Dishes, even better tasting food. I am so glad, the new owners, Brice & Erin are here. From The Ramsey’s, we appreciate the both of you!!!
Great spot…service was awesome
Clean and inviting diner serving American comfort food. We tried the chicken fried steak and the pork tenderloin. Both were very good and appeared to be hand breaded and fried. Onion rings were also homemade but burnt and overcooked. Okra was good. Mashed potatoes were thinned with sour cream rather than milk, and when combined with the white gravy, they tasted odd. Waitress was very nice and refilled drinks. Kitchen was slow but given that the food was freshly prepared, not terribly out of line. Very dog friendly! Brought my dog a bowl of ice water and some bacon!
Really enjoyed this place. Nice little spot with a good size patio. I had the chicken fried steak which was really good and the gravy was nice and creamy. Our waitress was very helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed. My only gripe is that they had breakfast at one time but no longer serve it anymore. However, they have not updated their profile on Google or Facebook so it appears they still serve breakfast.
Love the food and wait staff. Owner turned us away after we were fine with a 45min wait for the holiday. Most businesses are in the business of making money, and this one isn’t going to get another dollar of mine which is a true shame
Good luck ever finding it open
Not great, not horrible, but not great – I wouldn’t go back. Overpriced for what you get.
