Friendly and intelligent.takes the time to help you.really like goin there.wouldnt go anywhere else
Thank you, thank you Mike and Big Event Music. On a Saturday on a holiday weekend with the blues festival onging, MIke repaired a shot jack on my Telecaster that I was set on gifting to my daughter as a surprise. Big Event is my go to place now in Hot Springs.
Great bunch of folks! Had a repair done recently, top notch
Great people, over priced used stuff. Knowledge staff with understanding across most instruments. Some nice and not so nice used guitars in stock. BEM is part of the problem in this online society, people will come here to see things in person, then go to Musicians Friend to buy. Give it a try, but you will probably end up buying somewhere else. Jeff
Awesome place
Does it have a recording studio? I want to make a song
I bought everything from guitar cases to a JBL top of line PA from them before I found out they are totally BOGUS! Sold me used merchandise as new, then got an attitude when I called them on it! Cuss me out when you’re a thiefing liar? I don’t think so! I wouldn’t buy a guitar pick from these people!!!
Holy cow. I didn’t even know this place was open until I went inside. Not very inviting and the whole building needs renovations. Seemed very trashy. Almost made me feel like the items there have less value just because of how badly ran the building is.
I bought a lot of things from Brent when the store sold instruments and amps and was always happy with them. Unfortunately, things have changed. I brought a guitar in that needed a rewire job. I was aware they were busy with festivals but they kept my guitar for 2 months and finally called and told me they didn’t have time to fix it. Needless to say, I wont be back.
2. Guido’s Hot Springs Music
Address: National Park, 812 Higdon Ferry Rd, Hot Springs, AR 71913 , Hot Springs National Park , Arkansas , United States
Definitely the best guitar store in the state! Great collection! Guido is very nice and he knows a lot about vintage instruments. He is always willing to help you out and make you a good deal!
Great selection good deal knowledgeable Staff
Excellent customer service wonderful staff and great equipment!
Great service and reasonable prices.
This is easily the worst guitar shop I have ever been in. His prices are outrageous for the cheap faulty equipment he sells. The 15$ guitar amp cord I bought from him recently broke within a week. WITHIN A WEEK , for 15$ I could have gotten quality cord. He treats customers as poorly as he let’s his shop look. If you want to buy shoddy guitars , faulty equipment, and be treated like garbage that has sat on the curb for a month then go ahead and buy from this crook. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING HERE , if you need a guitar for someone who’s never played and you don’t what you need look elsewhere . Buyer be warned.
Only doing one star because no stars is not an option.
I’ve dealt with this store a few times and each time it’s literally been worse.
Bought a guitar and the binding broke off immediately – they blamed me.
$200 fix and I had to take it to another music shop I trust.
Asked for help on another matter and they told me it was “too much trouble.”
They literally don’t care about you just wanting your money.
If you do business with them beware.
I bought a 1949 Gibson LG3 from Guido at the Arlington Guitar Show this past weekend that he stated to be all original. Within 24 hours I discovered the bridge had been replaced which effects its value greatly. I asked for some compensation for this change & Guido refused to give me a break on price & refused to take it back. He stated “I should give him back money from our last transaction or he would do nothing for me”. Is this how you want to be treated by a so called expert ? There was no offer ever made to buy back both guitars back from me at all. Never again will I be burned by Guido !
3. Downtown Record & CD Emporium
Address: 239 Central Ave, Hot Springs, AR 71901 , Hot Springs National Park , Arkansas , United States
This place has the most extensive collection of albums, ranging from albums from the early 1900s to modern music. Not to mention the customer service. I asked if they had any John Denver albums, and the kindest worker searched through hundreds of albums to find one. I love this place and will most definitely be coming back frequently.
The owner is very knowledgeable and willing to help. Prices are very fair and the selection and quality is much better than I’ve found at larger outlets.
Absolute best record store in all of Arkansas. Me and my family come here about every Saturday, if not twice a week. Store owner, Pat, is very knowledgeable about music. You could ask him any question about any band or song, and I’m sure he’d be able to answer it for you.
Great selection on everything that has to do with media and great prices.
A very comfortable atmosphere, where you feel more like a friend than a customer.
Definitely a go-to place for collectors.
Have a great day!
First class! Very professional with great inventory!
Y’all have got to go see Pat. He has records you’ve never seen before and will chat and play whatever you want to hear.
Needs to update store hours. Drove 20 minutes to see that they were closed.
