They were extremely kind. Went out of the way to help me. Thank you for your sincere customer service. See you soon.
They were very helpful getting my grandson all set up with the Saxophone he needed for Middle School. Absolutely will recommend them to anyone looking for a musical instrument…
I loved this local music store and the friendly staff. Seriously going to miss it!
Local musician here, I bought a pair of sticks here in a pinch before a gig. They broke before my first set was over. 10/10 will not be back here for any gear. 2 stars because the guy behind the counter knew they were cheap sticks.
Keep up the good work!
Went to check it out – it appears to be out of business!
Get rid of website til there is info on stock
5. Miami Ave. Wine Bar, Music & The arts
Address: 311 1st St, Indian Rocks Beach, FL 33785 , Indian Shores , Florida , United States
We visited from New Jersey on our vacation. Awesome place. Wine is OMG out of this world. After a lovely wine tasting we left with 12 bottles. It was quite difficult not to open it on our drive home dealing with I95. I do so wish we had a “Miami Ave” in NJ. Thank you for a really terrific wine treat. We will be back !
The back room with a rear entrance is called “Miami Wine Bar.” There is live entertainment there.
Prepare to wait, but they are moving as fast as they can when it’s busy. Fabulous coffee, great breakfast sandwiches. We plan on trying pastries soon.
Great coffee and pastries! Cool vide too!
Excellent local coffee, location, and service! Highly recommend
Best muffins in town.
Charming place with decent coffee, also have gluten free pastries. The one that I ordered is moist and tasty. The coffee shops are so competitive now, at least this one is up to par.
Deliscious coffee
Meh. First impression was this place is pretty neat has a cool look to it. The service guy was kind of awkward and after seeing his interaction with the guy after us he was just straight up not personable at all. Most locally owned places should have exceptional service, but we were not impressed at all. Black iced coffee was great and smooth but the chai tea shouldn’t even be on the menu. It tasted like the teabags from the dollar store and had absolutely no flavor. I took two sips and threw it away. Overall, service, speed, and quality results in a one star.
Cute place and friendly staff. The food and lattes were extremely disappointing. The bacon, egg and cheese sandwich was made omelette style with predominantly egg (little to no seasoning) and two pieces of bacon added on top. Very little flavor. I also got an iced ‘Carmel Sutra’ with oat milk and it was very watered down with no taste of caramel. Disappointing to say the least and not worth the wait.
Love the muffins, but count your bag before you leave. They shorted us 2 this morning. Bag says 8, paid for 8 but only 6 in the bag. They do not answer their phone.
One of the best up and coming music collectives in the Florida area. A very accepting crowd who all has one goal in mind; making music to make the world a better place.
10. DJ By The Sea
Address: 512 Gulf Blvd, Indian Rocks Beach, FL 33785 , Indian Shores , Florida , United States
DJ by the Sea, Jeff went above and beyond to ensure a seamless evening at our beach wedding on Nov 5, 2022 ️ at Cay Pointe Villa! From our initial interaction he was open and listened to our every desire. His professionalism and responsiveness was on point We had a few requests and he fulfilled them to a “T” His setup was beautiful and matched our décor perfectly . He showed up an hour earlier than expected, which put us both at ease. It truly was an event to remember, thanks to Jeff! He made announcements for our guests and it was a seamless night . If you are looking to hire a DJ for your wedding, look no further than DJ by the Sea
We had a BLAST at our wedding in Indian Rocks Beach with DJ By The Sea! Jeff with DJ By The Sea did an amazing job with our music. As you can tell by the pics included here, we were dancing all night and having too much fun! Jeff made it easy to explain what kind of music we wanted played at the wedding and reception, and made the announcements exactly how we wanted – our intro as Mr and Mrs, our first dance, announcing tables for dinner, etc. Jeff will get your music right and make sure your party has the best time no matter what kind of music you are looking to play for your dream wedding. Thank you Jeff for your perfect beach wedding DJ services!
11. Lu Lu’s Ice Cream and Candy Shop
Address: 19823 Gulf Blvd #C, Indian Shores, FL 33785 , Indian Shores , Florida , United States
Cute little homemade ice cream shop with the most pleasant manager, Ethan. I came in off of his recommendation. He had such a “sweet” demeanor and has a gentle approach with kids. Even asked about allergies before making any recommendations. Definitely worth a trip.
The shop is so charming & gives you a sense of nostalgia. Ethan was a sweetheart & was very helpful in choosing a gelato flavor. If you get a chance try the Lulu’s namesake flavor, it was very unique & hit the spot!
The ice cream was amazing!!!!
Great little ice cream place. They have old style candy from back in the day. Will say they are a little over priced but kind of expected being on the beach. Ice cream was delicious and the small seating area outside was nice to enjoy the great weather. Over all I’ll be coming back to visit this place for sure.
It was simply average ice cream at an extremely expensive price. I got the brownie sundae which was a store bought brownie, heated Hershey’s syrup, a single scoop of ice cream and “homemade” whipped cream from a store can. This was 8 dollars. Total rip off and they didn’t have any classic flavors either. Underwhelmed.
Not enough flavors.
If you’re closed then don’t put sign outside. We were here at 3:40 and business still wasn’t open – guy in store next door couldn’t have been more rude about me asking. Won’t drive back
Service was fantastic. The I cream flavors (peanut butter swirl and black cherry) were missing sweetness, couldn’t taste the cherry or the peanut butter flavor in either. The vanilla flavor of the cream were both delicious..
What a horrible ice cream experience. My family and I stopped in around 4pm on the special board said peanut butter sauce and fudge Sunday. I said I would like one of those the lady behind the counter who smelled like stale cigarettes said oh we are out of peanut butter sauce. And have been for over a month now. Ok so I asked for just a fudge Sunday. I watched her make this Sunday right in front of me and she saw that she had no fudge so she drowned the freezer Burt ice cream in chocolate syrup. Eeeewwww disgusting never again
Haus has musical groups and fun events. Stop in and see what is going on. The owner and staff are friendly. The food is very good. They have a nice bar with some good wines and beers.
Good local coffee place. Cool vibe, definitely a change of pace from Starbucks
FANTASTIC coffee and breakfast, such a cozy spot great for having a cup of coffee and relaxing to study or work, with sofa seating as well as multiple rooms it’s the perfect spot to spend an afternoon. Great spot to bring friends or a date to socialize over coffee and avocado toast, the atmosphere is really something special.
Came at night on the weekend, and it transforms into an AMAZING live music venue with a huge selection of wine (and beer) with HUGE gorgeous charcuterie boards that are to die for!!! This place has everything!!!
My wife and I love to come to the coffee shop, the vibe and staff are phenomenal. What we love most is their outside seating which regardless the weather always has a lovely cross-breeze. My only complaint is that during the weekdays, we get smoked out by one of the faculty of a nearby school whom never seems to buy anything at the shop. I just wish the establishment would enforce a customer only seating policy.
Parking: One stop shopping! Grab some caffeine at The Hause, a car wash and run some grocery errands.
Kid-friendliness: Yes, minus the outside smoking section which can kill the vibe quite quickly when occupied by inconsiderate smokers.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.
Everything we wanted (all 3 of us) they were out of…what we ended up with was good but it would be nice to take things off the menu if you’re out of it.
Nice cappuccino
extremely unprofessional
Asked for a dark raost coffee. Told the dont have any. I let them know they made a pot 2 days earlier. They said i was lied to. I do not care who lied, but that is a deal breaker. Enough coffee shops i dont need you. All you have is customer service and if your staff not only decieves customers, but then tells them. You should close.
I used to like this place since they first opened at another location. Will tell everyone I know that used them to go somewhere else.
Very sad.
Ps. Worse was the told me this while smiling and giggling.
This location is horrible dirty bad coffee.. Check under the staircase it’s been quite some time since it’s been clean.. I was afraid to touch anything in the bathroom!!! I suggest You go to the other location on East Bay!
14. Paradise Recording
Address: 12366 Oaks Ln, Seminole, FL 33772 , Indian Shores , Florida , United States
We have always had the best of experience’s whenever we have shopped there. We have worked with Rockford , bought 8 guitars, speakers, and various other equipment. Once there was a problem with a new Epiphone we purchased, and they called around the country until they found it in Kentucky, and had it shipped.! Jimmy out in the front is a pleasure to be around. Always smiling, always a kind word, nice first impression person to have! I can’t say enough about our continued experience, and that if friends and strangers we have sent. Word travels when your doing something right!
Great support, knowledge, and friendly store. James helped me pick out a ukulele, And was extremely helpful and gave me some great ideas. I prefer over other stores in the same business that may not be staffed to provide value insights.
James C. was extremely helpful. He made suggestions without being pushy, and gave us the best deal around. Will shop here again!
Always like going in to that store, feel like a kid in a candy store. The staff is there a attentive and helpful. Although I think the drum Department really needs different management there’s only one kit that is set up to play and it is always Out Of Tune. There should be several kits ready to play.
The location is in the old Kapok Tree Restaurant. The inside is beautiful with it’s high arched ceiling and columns. Nice selection of gear and friendly staff
Good selection of products all around – whether you do live rock band stuff, DJ’ing, concert band or orchestra in school – Sam Ash has almost everything you need. Prices are bit a higher compared to other sellers, but the staff is friendly and knowledgable about the products they sell.
I strongly recommend you shop elsewhere.
Here’s a thought…if you get a new point of sale system, don’t go live with it until your staff is trained how to use it. Tried to return two cymbals and I’m still waiting for my refund of $369.70 after I left the cymbal with them since I had a printed credit card receipt showing the refund was processed. That transaction just dropped off my card and never posted. Said they just got a new point of sale system and still learning it. At first they told me they could only refund the base price without the tax (Huh?!?!) and would have to request the tax be refunded separately? There is so much more that it too much to type but this has been the worst experience buying/returning new cymbals that arrived at my door in used/scratched condition. I wound up having to dispute it on my credit card. It’s a shame because I’ve been shopping there since I was a kid when it was Thoroughbred. Never again will Sam Ash get my money.
Never go here. Extremely rude and unhelpful
16. Fire it up records
Address: 10591 94th Pl, Seminole, FL 33772 , Indian Shores , Florida , United States
Always ahead of schedule and on point. Seems no matter the style fire it up is experienced and it shows. Prices are fair if you compare experience/price to other studios nearby
17. The Island Surf Shop
Address: 309B Gulf Blvd, Indian Rocks Beach, FL 33785 , Indian Shores , Florida , United States
Great shop! Very good customer service! Rented some paddle boards and couldn’t have been more pleased with the time I had renting from here. Highly recommend!
Good selection and great customer service.
This is one of the friendliest places I have ever shopped at! First day I was looking for a place to buy a life jacket and was unsuccessful, I stopped in here to ask and they said just borrow this, bring it back when you’re done 🙂 Second day of our stay my son decided to try skim boarding so I went back and the person working was super helpful, she hooked me up with a beginner board and they even waxed it for me. Also SUPER cute clothes!
Nice shop. But won’t find serious gear for surfing or Skating. If you are Looking for sandals and t shirts sure.
Something wrong with these people at this shop. Ignorance at work. Other Surf shops in the area are way more friendly and hip.
I was there three days in a row last week (Aug 14, 15, and 16), Wed at 2pm, Thurs at 1 pm and Fri at 12 pm. The sign in the window was flashing “open” the hand written sign on the door said “beach day see you in the morning”. Wed was an overcast but ok day. Thursday and Friday it was raining. Looked like no one had been to the shop in a while as the rental boards were all knocked over. Called to see when they would be open, left a message. No call back. Too bad for them, spent $2000 + at competitors instead. Go to Nekton just a mile or so north of there or Suncoast 15 min south, both on the same road, both open when they say they will be. a row last week,
Extremely homophobic and prejudice owners. Spews hate speech onto innocent passersby. Not worth spending your money at!
18. Moe’st Everything Muse
Address: 5208 66th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33709 , Indian Shores , Florida , United States
The owner was knowledgeable and very helpful. He had exactly what we needed.
Moe fixed my guitar and it plays better than ever. He’s a nice guy with a passion for helping people, not just music. It’s the music shop i was looking for. Thanks, Moe!
Great service, Mo is a true gent and knows his stuff. You’ll find some hidden gems here and you’ll definitely have a great conversation about gear, music and life.
I know Moe personally and he will go the extra mile to make you happy and give you the best deal possible.
Owner clarified a situation where we mistook him for another company. Impressed how he handled the situation. Stand up guy
Sorry for the confusion
This product will be fun for our grandchildren from the north, who will love the view under water. It will be especially good after a cold snap which always greatly clarifies our bay water.
But this review is more about the exceptional service provided by Michael McCarthy. There were some delivery issues with accessories, through no fault of Michael’s. Nevertheless he “owned” them, was completely responsive, and made every effort to make things right, which he did.
You will enjoy this product and your experience with Michael.
Awesome boats instead of looking at the water You see through and into the water and everything around you and under you Just a better way at looking and wildlife And really connecting to nature
What a shame. Have you heard the term defamation of character? You do not deserve to be in business. However, you do deserve to be publicly shamed!
Horribly rude business. Do NOT use them!!
Never used them but one of there employees or their prostaff who drives a blue suburban is not a safe driver on the road. Cutting people off tailgating.
20. Cafe de Paris Bakery
Address: 2300 Gulf Blvd, Indian Rocks Beach, FL 33785 , Indian Shores , Florida , United States
Amazing pastries! We go here every morning when we are in Indian Rocks Beach. It is owner-run and top notch in every way. We always have pastries, but the other food looks delicious also.
Couldn’t have been better
3.5 stars. Cute little place, atmosphere inside is spot on. We went at 9am and it was packed. May have to wait for a table if dining in. We ordered crepes and various pastries. Waited about 15-20 mins for the crepes. The raspberry eclair/cream puff was probably the best of the pastries. I didn’t love the cannoli, not sweet enough and had an almond extract flavor to it. The pastry cream in the fruit tart tastes like pre-packaged donut filling, not real homemade pastry cream. All fruit was fresh and ripe! Tasted the chocolate croissant and it was chewy instead of crispy, like it needed to be warmed/toasted. I was a bit turned off by the appearance of the crepe at first (they are buckwheat, hence the color) but the flavor more than redeemed it. I got goat cheese & honey & highly recommend. It didnt need the sun-dried tomato garnish. We also got an iced americano & an iced chai latte. The Americano was very small & tasted burnt at first but got better. The chai was a bit too sweet, I prob shouldve added a shot of espresso. Husband got the spinach quiche and it was pretty good, but pastry also couldve been crispier. Overall recommend, but would prefer Pipo & Betty’s for fresh baked pastries & their coffee selection!
Delicious food. Not a lot of space so you better put on your patient’s hat.
Great desserts
I love fresh pastries! This place had good reviews so i went here this morning (2/13/18) at 7:15….. yes 15 min early. Lights were on people/workers about the place so I opened the door and went in. Walked up to the pastry counter past someone on the floor and was told by the person at the counter “We’re not open yet the door should not have been
open. ” Really 15 min and you tell someone to leave. We would be out of business if we treated our potential customers like this. Went down the road to Lighthouse donuts great bakery and coffee and fun guys that understand customer service.
Behind the counter they are not too friendly
Pastries look great but have no flavor….way overpriced
